I effing HATE it when girls stay with guys who treat them like shit (i.e, hypocritical, mentally abusive, physically abusive ect ect ect) and then complain to their friends about said crappy boyfriends and then said friends give solid advice but then said girls stay with said shitty boyfriends.

actually, i read somewhere that abusive boyfriends are pathological liars and manipulate women in order to make them feel guilty and stay with them.

"Cosplay is not consent" also applies to male cosplayers, you fools. No touching without permission. Calling me "bro" at the end every pathetic excuse for reaching up my skirt does not work. Claiming to be a homosexual brony, even if you really are one, does not give you any sort of "right" or "privilege" to ignore common courtesy. Guilt-tripping me, calling me homophobic, just because I don't consent, is not a damn argument. Now fuck off, you unhygienic, rum-smelling, nasal-voice-cracking, wannabe fuckboy weeb. And for the record my "boy pussy" has already seen some action, so you're not special. Seriously, do you pull off this bullshit at every con you go to? I agree with you about the Axe Body spray though, most of these events smell like a fucking Yu-Gi-Oh tournament.

I guess this one guy thought my outfit was an invitation, and that as a guy, I wouldn't bitch at him for getting touched without consent. He might have been very drunk too, but that's his fault for not having a sober friend to stop him from making stupid decisions.

Please, don't let my experience ruin it for you. This happens more often to me than it should, and I know how to defend myself if need be. With the exception of idiots, I find cons to be generally safe and free of anxiety and paranoia. I suggest going with friends to make the experience even more enjoyable. Just remember to be polite and ask first before you take pics or give hugs.

And since you are such a sweety, going ninja while I was typing this up:

I mean, it's you're decision. I think you're missing out, because these things are a lot of fun. Well, really depends on what you find to be fun. My kind of fun includes a hotel room, lots of alcohol, music, Street Fighter V and Guilty Gear, alcohol, hot cosplays, drunk selfies, alcohol, out of state friends, guys falling for me, alcohol, and alcohol.

And I guess as long as this is the non-RP bitchfest thread---OMG, JUST FORK OVER $80 and get some decent fragrance to hide that body odor!

Well that's the problem. The only people I know who enjoyed going to cons, I've come to hate over time. Due to conflicts.

Well, what's the shame, if I may ask? This is also B!tchfest related, since I find the word "shame" being thrown out a lot within my family, mostly to do with the things I enjoy.

That's very unfortunate, I'm sorry. I don't think I could ever attend cons alone. It's just not the same without friends to go with. I can relate on the budgeting. Honestly, I shouldn't be spending at all on these things, but I just love it so much since it's quite the escape from reality. Is it just a very situational thing for you? Do you see yourself having the opportunity to attend one in a few years even?

Well, be sure to check anyway. Mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water. Disturb/toss any stagnant water.
I also find eating food with garlic mixed in helps repel mosquitoes. But that's just me. :P

Honestly. If i could land a decent job, I'd probably be able to attend cons. I'd also like to get into cosplaying myself. But again, don't got the income. Also don't got the face for a lot of characters I'd like to cosplay as.


tbh, cosplaying is easy. Doing it right/well on the other hand takes time, money or talent.
That said, the way I'd tend to get around this is by doing something post apocylptic, don't matter if it looks like crap, you can just say "its supposed to be like that".
There's also a whole bunch of really simple costumes/cosplay ideas floating around. I know that being a Bond-esque spy only really require a suit and a pistol (hot chicks always help tho) and that being a Warboy from Mad Max isn't too hard either (or Wargirl, whatever floats your boat). All else fails, could always do something Harry Potter esque, just find a big cloak to wear over your normal cloak and use a nice lookin' stick as a wand (pet cats can help with this look as well).

That said, I completely get the struggles, I'm basically in the same boat. Too poor and lazy to do any kind of cool stuff and go to cons ;-;

Jaysus fuck, what kind of con you going to? It honestly never really crossed my mind for staying in a hotel to stay at a con as dumb as it sounds but its true.

Also, I feel bad for your liver. Like, very, very bad.

Everyone's failing to realize I'm an introvert, and are getting in the way of my dayoffs.

Next week my dayoffs will only really exist to be Friday.

Why you ask? Starting college, already getting dem nightmares of having a late assignment already, and the requirements there are that I need to complete 67% or more of my classes, and score above a 2.0 GPA
