Mysterious Boy & Mysterious Girl

Situation Location: In front of the Trainer House

The Mysterious Girl arched a brow when a Vulpix emerged from the crowd and had some nerve to leap onto the table she had went through the trouble to find. She rolled her eyes at her plea and simply walked around the table with her hands on her hips, her plaid skirts swaying. Standing in front of the Vulpix to return the trainer crowd’s eyes to her, the Mysterious Girl cheerfully smiled and held up a finger.

“Ahem, actually, we don’t sell are world-class bred Pokemon. We allow trainers to trade in their current Pokemon for our awesome Pokemon. The Machamp and Garchomp were very happy with their new trainers. There are more stronger and eager Pokemon waiting to find a best friend. All you have to do is trade with us!” she announced.

A trainer stepped forth then:

Is what she says true?...Are you the ones responsible for these cowards that swing Pokemon around like tools? Like weapons?...Are you the ones that are making a mockery of everything that Trainers stand for?

The Mysterious Girl frowned at Seth before she turned her cheek to him, a cat-like smirk curling at her lips.

“The goal of every trainer is unique. What you believe trainers stand for may not be what everyone else believes.”

She then returned her attention to the crowd and thrust out her arm.

“There are those among you who do not understand your plight. Those of you whose Pokemon were stolen from you. Those who came all of this way just to have your dreams dashed to the ground by misfortune. Even you have a second chance. The Pokemon Club gives all trainers a chance to equally succeed. Perhaps some of you want to travel the long and arduous path to become a pro. The Pokemon Club gives those who would rather expedite the journey a best friend and a free walk to the finish line!”

Lowering her arm, the girl proudly smiled and waved her hand dismissively at Seth before glancing back over her shoulder at the Vulpix.

“Now for those of you who disagree with the Pokemon Club’s mission, take your protests elsewhere. We have some memberships to hand out.”

The words of Vulpix and Seth touched only a few trainers, but it didn’t stop the majority who stepped forward offering their Pokeballs. Humans were naturally lazy and liked the easy way out. Very few liked to work, and as a result, the Pokemon Club was still in business. The Mysterious Boy and Girl merely smiled triumphantly as they traded Pokeballs across the table around the Vulpix as though she didn’t exist. Trainers happily took their new balls and literally ran with them. Popping them open in the park like children opening Christmas gifts as powerful fully-evolved Pokemon emerged. The traded in balls were placed into boxes that were closed, taped, and loaded onto a van that had the abbreviation “PC” glued on the side.

Meanwhile at the Viridian City Police Department, Officer Sholtz and Arclady were investigating the gang members they had rounded up. They were writing a report, requesting permission to use a Hypno to hypnotize the thugs into talking so they could learn about their true motives behind the Route 1 attacks.

Gredy Silvertongue

Having followed the trainers after the fight had quietied down (And hoping that Phantump was still following him), Gredy listened intently as the Vulpix and her trainer had their says. If this 'Pokemon Club' had given the boy from earlier his Machamp, there was clearly something sass going on with the organization. Machamps didn't just grow on trees, let alone obey the orders of a brand new trainer they had never even met without something dodgy as all hell going on behind the scenes. The fact that these trades were being made with the sole intent on allowing trainers to breeze through the Gyms also seemed like cheating, even if legally all that had happened was a trade being made.

As the girl from the club started to talk, Gredy remained quiet to let her speak; She was absolutely free to do so and he wasn't going to be a jerk and stop her. Instead he took out his phone and hit the record button, making sure to capture her face and the face of her friend from the club, recording the whole little speech before they got down to business. He made sure to record the trainers trading their pokeballs for new ones before going outside quietly in order to get footage of just what kind of pokemon they had received from the exchange. For good measure he even got footage of the truck that the traded pokeballs had been loaded up into.

He didn't speak to anyone or attempt to draw attention to himself, already planning on uploading the footage and sending it to the Pokémon Association; They would no doubt be very interested in what was going on. Granted they might not do anything, but if they decided to ignore this then it was their problem, not his.

Larvitar

@TalijaKey

His angry lash out bite did indeed land a hit, and he chomped down on the tail of the Zorua who was just about to run away. It wasen't the best place to land it, but it was effective none the less even if little so. He held on, and didn't let go as the Zorua tried to run away with him but failed and changed back to a zorua again. the Second time with went better, he had probably gotten used to the pain now and wanted him off, yet Larvitar hung on as the Zorua changed forms and he was shaken left and right. It made him slightly dizzy but he dind't let go, he was going to win and this was somewhat a battle of endurance. Each time he was shaken up and down his weight would obviously pull on the Zorua's tail and cause even more pain, and Larvitar endured the shaking as he only bit harder.

Did not give in, and he refused to surrender... he hung on, through twists and turns... bounces and leaps... he did not let go, not before a particularity hard shake sent him like a mile into the air. In that split moment he spun around without control spitting and sputtering out black fur before his eyes narrowed down and he angled himself in the air to come crashing down towards Zorua. He shifted to Gijinka form without thought aimed... and crashed down fist first towards Zorua's face, he was gona make him faint... he was fully into the battle without little regards for anything else.

Zorua

The earth lump bite even harder down on his tail, and Zorua jumped vigorously around. Him hating the feeling slowly started to turn into actually painful one. In his own frustration he kicked and turned and in a blissful second Larvitar let go. That was such a beautiful relieve that he noticed too late that the other pokemon shifted forms, now well taller than himself. Looking way stronger and out for his hide. The fist aimed for his face connected with his nose and the scratch under his eye flared up in a burning protest. Zorua fell over on the grass with a yelp. One hand holding his nose.

The dark type looked up and there he stood tall, as if this was right. What did he do to get in this situation? The time felt as if slowed down as his mind raced in panic. He didnt understand, but then again he should have gotten used by now. Most pokemon didnt like him in the forest. He could only call one pokemon his friend, one who would not attack him at sight or try to use him. Something had to be wrong with him. Even so he didnt want to be beaten up to a mess. He had to run away. Out the forest. Under his palm he felt the flowers he put on top of the pokemon, to make him smell better. Ground pokemon didnt like grass pokemon, right? And from a memory of Vileplume protecting its young. Zorua formulated a plan.

"Here earth lump, now you pissed me off, just for you feel my grass attack! Petal dance!" He called out with conviction as if he truly knew that powerful grass move. A handful of the flowers were thrown into the face of Larvitar, some of its pollen flying all over the pokemon face and eyes and Zorua switched his form to small once again and under the legs of the big man run for dear life towards the city. Hoping he earned enough time to escape him with that move. Confused him just long enough he wouldnt find him. He would hide under a dumpster to hide his own smell. Spend the night there and hoping that nothing else will happen to him today.

Jaden Locke: Virirdian City

Righteous Fury

As the mass of newbie trainers charged forward, eager for the chance to breeze past the competition, and while others tried to formulated long term strategies in order to oppose the wrong-doing they saw, a voice cut through the noise, it's message simple and to the point.

"Wow, you're all just pathetic piles of garbage, aren't you?"

Pushing his way through the crowd that had turned to stare at him incredulously after his proclamation, Jaden returned every gaze with a cold, pitiless glare of his own, the Pikachi from before cradled in his arms as he walked up to the desk. Azure eyes stared down the two pokemon sellers, but he didn't direct his next words to them. Instead, he turned to face the horde of trainers behind him, his voice projecting impressively so that they all could hear what he had to say. "It's a wonder why any of you thought to be trainer's if this is the path you've decided to go down. But I guess it's a case of 'as above, so below', you'll find trash no matter where you go. Jaden finished with a humorless chuckle, angering one of the other trainers, and rather large, muscle-bound boy around his age, that he came up to the young boy, holding him up by the collar of his shirt.

"What fuckin' right do you have to judge us, just cause we want to take a shortcut, you little prick? Not everyone's got the time or patience to do things the hard way, so what's the matter with taking an easier solution when presented?" As the trainer spoke, he pulled Jaden's face closer, glaring down at the white haired man as he seemed to be contemplating whether he should sock him right in that smug face of his. "Get off your goddamn high horse, cause you ain't know better than the rest of us."

Jaden merely continued to smile smugly as the trainer finished his little outburst, still holding onto the Pikachu as he returned the glare with one of his own. Laughter still in his voice, Jaden spot his response, his jovial and bemused tone dripping with spite and contempt.

"Oh, I can find a few problems with that logic, but that's not why you're trash. I truly understand the reasons you presented, though personally, if you don't have the time or patience to properly raise a Pokemon, I question why you chose to be a Trainer in the first place." Jaden was cut off before he could continue by the trainer pulling him off his feet, seeming having decided on what he wanted to do, but Jaden continued on as soon as he could, still staring the large trainer down as he did so. "But no, what makes you all pathetic trash is that it's obvious your pokemon partners obviously don't matter to you. Not the ones you've had up to this point, and certainly not the ones yo-" This time, what cut Jade off was a fist to his face, pain lighting up as the familiar pounding of a headache returned with a vengeance. He was dropped soon after, and while a bit out of it from the hit, had enough sense to turn around so that his back hit the ground and not the passed out pokemon in his arms. Letting out a slight breath, Jaden took little time getting back up, if a bit unsteadily, before looking up at the trainer from before, eyes just as cold and unforgiving as before.

"What's the matter, don't like hearing the truth?"

"I'm getting really tired of your shit, jackass. What's the problem with wanting strong pokemon over weak ones. It's the point of Pokemon battles and catching them in the wold, to get bigger and better pokemon to replace the weak ones you have to start with."

"Fine, but that doesn't change what I said, nor does it change the fact that you're all trash. In fact, it only furthers my point. You're giving away partners that likely trusted you to care for them, to help them, to train them up for this challenge you decided to take, and tossing them aside like they're tools you don't need anymore." As he spoke, the cool and calm tone he had spoken with till now began to thaw away, the fires of his anger beginning to peak out as his disbelief and outrage over the current situation began to reach new heights. "You maybe right that strong pokemon win battles, but that isn't all there is to trainers, nor is it all there is to the pokemon at your side. In fact, the fact that battle is the deciding factor already tells me that you're a lost cause. Seriously, I don't understand how you can take these people, cause that is what they fucking are and you shouldn't ever forget that, and just toss them aside like that if you care for them even a bit. As such, none of you do, and you likely never will with the pokemon they're giving you. They've likely either been brainwashed or something else into tools for trainers like you to lose, because if you were given a human being and told that they'd do whatever you say without question, then wouldn't that be your first thought? That something is wrong with them, and whoever gave them to you is likely the one to blame."

Turning again to the two trainers manning the so-called 'Pokemon Club', he now turned his attention to the two of them, anger still peaking in his head. "And what, prey-tell, will become of all the Pokemon that you receive in exchange for these tools? What could con-artist like yourselves possibly want with the Pokemon of a bunch of beginner level trainers. Is that how you get your new material for your tools? Con trainers out of their pokemon, take them to some secret facility for experimentation or brainwashing to make them strong and obediant, then come back to start the whole process over again?" Without a second thought, Jaden spat on the Pokemon Club desk, readjusting the his grip on the Pikachu in hand as he turned away. "None of you deserve to be called Trainers, and none of you deserve the Pokemon that have worked with you faithfully up to this point if this is all their faith means to you. If you wish to still trade your pokemon, then how about making sure to let them know what's happening? Take them out right now, look them in the eyes, and tell them what you're doing. Tell them that you're going to give them away to a complete stranger for another, stronger pokemon. Tell them that, in so many words, they never mattered to you. They were just a pawn, a toy, a tool for you, and that was all they ever were going to be. And if, by chance, that thought happens to bother you, then turn the fuck around and walk away with your dignity and honor intact. If it doesn't bother you at all, then all I have to say is that you can go get fuck yourselves in the ass with a Beedrill stinger and may Giratina drag you into the dark void for all eternity."

With that being said, Jaden would walk away from the crowd, but stopped as he began searching the crowd once more, calling over his other Pokemon to his side. Vix, where are you? We're leaving these pathetic excuses for Trainers to their dirty dealings for now. That was a flat-out lie, Jaden fully intended to contact the authorities, but he didn't want to alert the two members of the 'Pokemon Club' to find this out. In fact, he probably could've gotten the police here by now if he had gone to do that once he figured out what was going on, but he couldn't help but speak his mind, hoping that maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to get a few more people to turn away from this ridiculous scheme by attacking their very humanity. Of course, all things considered, it probably wouldn't do anything, but he did what he could.

In the crowd, the Trainer from before was still glaring at Jaden, hands balled up into fists and eyes sparking with rage.

Pikachu-Virdian city

The last thing Pikachu felt before fully succumbing to being unconscious was Jaden picking him up.he felt like he was floating...as if nothing could hold him back. Then he started going in and out of consciousness. He felt Jadens arms and heard his words. He would open his eyes but for every brief moment he was awake he would try but his eyelids felt heavy as if they were heavy curtains and he was too weak to open them.

He heard a a noise that sounded like fist contact. He went out again as he heard more words. This time he couldn't understand them. His ears felt like they were stuffed with cotton and now he simply accepted being full passed out once more. His ears relaxing fully and his tail falling to the side as he went deeper into unconsciousness.

Larvitar

@TalijaKey

That intensely satisfying moment of your fist connecting to someone's face was hanging in the air, and the only thing that could have made it more so would be if the force from the hit had sent his opponent to the ground or flying... yet it as less so endured by his opponent even if he fell to the ground. He stood over his opponent in proud achievement none the less, thinking that from here it would be a walk in the park to win the battle that didn't quite exist in the first place. He pondered about his next move as it was the first real time he had tried out his power, and as the Zorua was merely sitting there he didn't have much reason to strike him again 'yet' after all he was not out to kill the Zorua... merely to beat him up and he looked pretty beat up at the moment, or at least Larvitar thought so.

He was a bit caught off guard when the Zorua actually launched a counter attack after yelling that he mearly pissed him off, he should have been triumphant right?... it should be yielding to his might and not throw punches back at him... well no punches came but a bunch of flowers and pollen. Larvitar didn't know exactly what the Zorua was capable off and getting his nose and eyes filled with these pollen stuff wasen't completely pleasant even if it did little harm. He grunted as he rubbed his face to get the flowers off and in surprise only saw the Zorua flee which left him a bit dumbfounded in the same place for a few good moments. "huh?..." he muttered as he managed to get the flowers off and wondered if that was all it did, the Zorua had gotten quite the head start by the time he put two and two together and realized it was mearly a distraction and was lost quite easily in the chase.

However would however chase him for a bit even if the Zorua was undoubtedly faster than himself and more agile to boot, Larvitar was quite clumsy and when the forest opened up to reveal a town ahead he had no clue where the Zorua had vanished off too. It was the first time Larvitar had seen civilization, and quite frankly it looked curious to him from afar. His instinct might tell him to avoid it, but it looked like a place where lots of figures would live, and that meant lots of opponents to test his strength against... he bravely, or foolishly marched straight towards Viridian city without a clue what he was goingt towards.

His anger had washed away in the battle, now he felt mearly curious, he didn't spend much time thinking about Zorua other than it being a coward for fleeing from him, he set his sights ahead and the next challange... with all the excitement in his body he didn't even feel tired any longer... he walked to the town, completely unaware that it could be a litteral beedrill nest for him.

After the incident, Charmander just wanted to relax a bit, and not get into anything else. She found a building that she could climb, climbing to the top she sat on the roof, feet dangling over the edge, and laying back. She let her mind wander. She didn't understand why those Pokémon had sought to steal. There were other ways of surviving in the wild. Charmer offered her services to people and in return she got food and other such things.

She sighed to herself, shifting into a more comfortable position, she pondered what had happened. She hoped the trainer had gotten away from a dangerous situation and that the was alright as well Phantump. Maybe she should have stuck around a little longer, but while she trusted the trainer she hadn't wanted to be caught. There were still things that Charmander wanted to go through and she didn't think that would happen as a captured Pokémon.

Amidst all the drama, Pokemon Trainer Jeff was more concerned in giving away his weak Pokemon for a stronger one. He pushed his way to the front and set his Pokeball proudly on the table.

Finally, I’ll get the Pokemon I deserve,, he stood there with a happy smile on his face as he waited for the trade to occur. They were taking a little longer than he expected with the protestors stalling business. What he hadn’t noticed was standing behind him was a little slanted-eye boy, silently peering up at him. He stared at the trainer for a good two minutes until Jeff curiously peered over his shoulder at the fight that had broken out, and then his blue eyes lowered to a distinct black cowlick that was standing on the kid’s head. His face immediately paled.

“Chris, what are you doing outside your ball?” he exclaimed in panic. He had just turned in an empty ball, they were going to think he was a thief. He snatched the kid by the wrist and attempted to drag him over to the table, when the kid jerked his wrist free.

“Come on, I just turned in your pokeball. You have to go with them now or they’ll think I’m trying to scam them!”

He reached for the kid again and the boy shrank down into a small black and yellow-bellied mouse. The Cyndaquil ran from Jeff darting between the feet of the power-hungry trainers. Once he reached the back of the crowd, he glanced back and noticed that his master was still closely following him. Having taken his attention away from his intended path, the little mouse crashed into a person’s leg @Bright_Ops.

The Cyndaquil squealed in startle, sprawling on his belly a little daze. Jeff caught up to him, and saw his Pokemon at the feet of another trainer.

“Sorry about that,” Jeff apologized to Gredy. “That’s my Pokemon.”

Cyndaquil shook his head and glanced behind him at Jeff. His trainer attempted to reach for him and Cyndaquil presented his back to him, which was always a bad sign if he had been a Cyndaquil expert or had owned a Cyndaquil longer than a day. Flames immediately erupted like fiery spines from his back, singing the trainer’s hand.

Jeff retracted his hand with a pained cursed, “Agh! You little shit!”

Reactively, he kicked the Pokemon, sending it rolling to the side. “That’s why I’m gonna trade you in!”

Gredy Silvertongue

Gredy had more then enough footage for what he intended to do. Pocketing his phone, he calmly walked back into the Trainer House in order to claim a room for the night while also giving himself access to a PC in order to upload and send the footage to the Pokémon Association. At least, that was his intention until something ran right into his legs; Out of reflex he jumped back a little in order to see what it was and found himself looking at a... fire mouse?

Looking up as a trainer arrived that was claiming the pokemon as his and apologizing for it running into him, Gredy simply said "That's alright, these things happen." more then happy to accept the apology and pretend that nothing happened... until he saw the boy burn himself trying to pick his pokemon up and kick it. With a sharp intake of breath, Gredy froze for a moment as he was faced with the reality that this was really happening in front of him. When the moment passed, Gredy quickly stepped between the Cyndaquil and their 'trainer' in order to prevent any more physical attacks.

Crossing his arms over his chest, Gredy looked at the 'trainer' in front of him with a stern expression before opening his mouth "You want to trade your pokemon? I've got an offer for you. I'll take your clearly unwanted pokemon in exchange for not reporting you for pokemon abuse. Sounds like a fair trade to me."

Larvitar

@TalijaKey

Curiosity, lights noises and scents... Many things Drove Larvitar closer and closer to the city until he finally stood at its entrance. Around him large structures, much bigger than himself and much to difficult to mow down as he would found out when he walked into a street light with a soundly cloth!... As he was so distracted by everything new to pay complete attention to what was right in front of his nose. He growled and struck it with his claws to no avail, the metal wouldn't yield to him yet nor would most the material that buildinga was made off.

However on the streets there was still people and pokemon for him to fight, while most minded their own Business and didn't quite react to the Larvitar before he was jaws locked onto something new. He quickly caused quite a ruckus by Biting both people and pokemon alike making trainera shout loudly over who's Larvitar it was that went nuts in town. No reply would come, but not necessarily make people try to pull out pokeballs as they could not assume he was not a runaway... Just another newb trainer whose pokemon didn't like listen and that better was traded in.

Other Pokémon would of course likely try to defend themselves, but fighting on the streets was difficult, especially when you actually cared who you damaged. Larvitar did not... He was trying to get everyone around to yield to his might... Not that it really worked out that well... Eventuelly he was hit by one of the new traded in Mons powerful attack and was sent cross the street and through a window in the trainee longe knocking him out cold in a OHKO.

Pokémon Trainer Jeff became a little defensive when Gredy suddenly stood in front of him. The other trainer seemed a little bigger than him—at least from what he could gauge. Jeff put on his best intimidating frown and clenched his fists tight with anger and raging nerves.

You want to trade your Pokémon? I’ve got an offer for you. I’ll take your clearly unwanted Pokémon in exchange for not reporting you for Pokémon abuse. Sounds like a fair trade to me.

Jeff opened his mouth as though prepared to growl some well-executed counter-offer or comeback, but nothing left. His mouth closed and his jaw clenched tight as he thought over the decision. He didn’t want the police involved. He did kick his Pokémon…but that stupid rat…wait, he could probably still get another Pokemon. After all, they never checked the ball.

Wrinkling his nose, Jeff leaned close to Gredy’s face and growled, “Keep the dumb rat then. I don’t care. I’m getting myself a better Pokémon.”

Jeff then turned to stomp back over to the Pokémon Club table.

Cyndaquil had recovered and was on edge. The fire mouse was shaking and confused. Did he just lose his trainer? Why? Did he hate him? He didn’t understand what was going on. All he wanted was just not to be given away. He didn’t know where those people would take him. His fiery quills were still burning as he looked around unsure of what to do, where to go…he had been wild before, but he didn’t know the current area too well.

While he didn't show it, Gredy felt his stomach tighten with nerves. He didn't really want to get into a physical fight with anyone, but he couldn't stand to see this idiot try and harm his pokemon again. Thankfully through, the threat of getting the police involved was enough to make the other kid stand down and walk away.

Only once he was gone did Gredy allow himself a sigh of relief. That... went better then expected honestly. However, he wasn't quite done yet. Turning around to look at the Cyndaquil that had been left behind, he bent down so that he was more level with the small fire pokemon... through he didn't dare try and pick him up or touch him. Being set on fire and dealing with the burns afterwards was not something that he wanted to do today. As softly as he could, he asked "Hey. Are you alright? Do you have a name?"

To Denounce the Evils of Truth and Love...

Mysterious Boy & Mysterious Girl

Situation Location: In front of the Trainer House

Wow, you’re all just pathetic piles of garbage, aren’t you?

The Mysterious Boy and Girl continued their business, ignoring Jaden and his incessant preaching. Usually, ignoring people was the best solution to get them to stop talking. If he wanted to start a riot or a protest, well, he didn’t exactly get permission to start one outside the Trainer House. When the boy marched up to their table and tried to hinder their business, the Mysterious Girl stood up from her chair with a frown. Her palms were flat upon the table as she gave Jaden an irritable glare.

It’s a wonder why any of you thought to be trainer’s…

He went on and on, and on…until a vein popped at the corner of her head. Her customers started to fight with him and she finally shouted, “Hey! How about you all calm down before I call the cops. Little boy, if you have a problem with our business, then take it elsewhere, but if you continue to stay here and cause trouble, I will call the police!”

When Jaden turned his attention on her and her partner, the Mysterious Girl rested her hands on her hips, hearing him drone on and on.

“Maybe you should learn something about public speaking. No one is going to listen to you if all you’re going to do is insult them. If you want to know so badly how we do business, then trade with us. If not, then leave or I’ll call the police and have them remove you.”

Jaden might have thought he was fighting the good fight, but his behavior was making the justice he tried to exact backfire. He had only managed to incriminate himself and irritate others so that the trainers who had once potentially listened to him no longer did. When he walked away, business resumed as it would have even without his two cents.

“And will someone show control over their Pokemon?” She was referring to the Vulpix still standing on the table. “I think someone should trade her in if they don’t have any control over her. I guarantee you that our Pokemon are friendlier and obedient. They are the cream of the crop!”

Vix -- To Extend our Reach to the Stars Above! [@FeistyPants]

Jaden was lookong for her, and through all the uproar, she couldn't hear him. It wasn't until the female half of that insidious pair started speaking that discovered an opportunity. Having already seen where they were taking the Pokéballs off to, she went about a devilishly clever ruse. Acting dejected as the girl complained about her behavior, Vix hopped down from the table and walked away.

Instead of rejoining her master, she left Jaden and the crowds behind. Trailing slightly behind the laborer who carried a tray of freshly betroayed Pokémon.

Where are they taking them...and why?

Pondering this slightly, Vix pinned herself up against the wall. With her nose twitching and eyes acutely listening in, the brazen little Fox peeked around the corner to watch the humans boxing up the trays and loading them into a truck. Curiously, she watched them, she obverved their movements and temperaments closely. For it seemed that the men packing up the boxes cared just as little as the lazy traitors that had given them away.

What the hell is going on...?

"Oi! What're you doin' outside your ball?!"

Jumping nearly a mile out of her skin, Vix spun around to see one of the men who had been loading crates glaring at her with his hands on his sides. Much to her surprise, another man snuck up behind her as the Truck started up its engine with a dull rumble. Suddenly, she found herself in an inescapable bear hug! One which no matter how hard she squirmed and tried, she couldn't get out of it! Gritting her teeth as she was marched to the truck, all she could muster was a terrified cry as she was thrown unceremoniously into the back of the truck.

Hastily regaining her feet, she bolted for the exit, only to suddenly have it closed right in her face. Her flames were not hot enough to melt steel, yet. And to make matters worse, if she did that, the boxes piled inside could burst into flames and endanger not only herself, but the hundreds of Pokémon inside!

So she did all that she could do. She slumped into a corner and waited. Drawing her knees up close to her chest, terrified as to what might lay ahead.

--------

The van departed.

The Cyndaquil crouched low to the ground nearly bunching into a perfect ball when Gredy crept closer to him. The Pokemon’s quills continued to roar and hiss as they surged from his back like welding torches. The fire mouse didn’t move an inch, trembling softly as the stranger crouched to his level.

Hey. Are you all right? Do you have a name?

The gentleness in the trainer’s voice for some reason made him break. The Pokemon slowly transformed back into a human boy, lying on the ground with his legs curled beneath him and fists against his weeping eyes. He sat upwards, wiping at his eyes as he whimpered a reply, “He ca-called me, Chris. What did I do wrong? Why does he hate me?”

Gredy sighed as he sat down on the floor, crossing his legs as he looked at Chris the Cyndaquil with a thoughtful expression. He wanted to help but he didn't want to say or do the wrong thing and make things worse. Still he had to say something...

Not feeling confident enough to try physically touching Chris in order to provide some kind of comfort (largely because after what Chris had just been through, human contact might be the last thing he wanted), Gredy decided to answer honestly. "I doubt it was anything that you actually did. From the looks of it, he was throwing you under the bus in order to cheat his way to controlling a pokemon he hasn't earned the right to own, let alone the ability to command. That is a problem with him, not you..." Glancing in the direaction that said 'trainer' had headed off in, Gredy muttered softly just loud enough for Chris to hear "I suspect it'll bite him in the end..."

Shaking his head a little as he turned back to the Cyndaquil before offering the small boy a smile. "Well... your 'trainer' did give you to me, but since his opinion is worth less then dirt to me, would you like to partner up with me?"

Rasa - A new morning, a new surprise in the face

Rasa eyes fly open with a jerk, yet she lay completely still on the floor. There was no sunlight visible coming in the room, only the illumination of the street lights, yet the shapes were unfamiliar her mind briefly wondered when her room got redecorated. Her eyes noticed the shape hanging from the ceiling, a pokemon.

No, her pokemon. Her teammate.

Her memory jogged she let a breath out. Grazia didnt left her, even if she could if wanted. It wasnt like Rasa locked her bedroom door...which thinking about that now was really stupid. It didnt mattered now anyway. The dragon flying type stayed, giving her a chance. Rasa was determined not to mess it up. The first part of it was not to wake up the still sleeping pokemon who needed the sleep. She knew she herself wouldnt be able to fall asleep again, it was a force of habit, she gained as she helped out in the family shop. Wake up early before sunrise, feed the pokemon. Do chores, move to help open the shop in time.

Carefully the trainer moved, trying to reach her bag and the tube top she promised she would fix. Rasa grimaced as her hand wrapped around the bag and it made a stiffed sound. She froze and looked up, it appeared Grazia was still in dream land. Rasa proceed to do the sewing of the rip on the top. It was a bit hard in the limited illumination, but she felt pride as she still managed to do it. It wouldnt take long before the sun rose.

Yet before the first sun rays could appear she heard muffled shouting from outside. She finished the knot and bit off the thread, the next shout was more angry and maybe demanding? Rasa glanced up at Noibat and slowly stood up to look through the window. Last time she followed shouting she saved a pokemon life and nearly got slashed into cubes by a Axew.

Outside Rasa recognised Empoleon the emperor Pokémon attacking something, before she even knew what or who it was the receiver of the over kill attack was sent flying. Rasa only got the time to raise her hands to cover her eyes when the sound of glass breaking echoed through the room. She felt the cuts over her forearms and something heavy hitting her. She fell over with a half a yelp, half a stifled cry.

A small part of Rasa brain commented to her. Would you stop going towards loud noise which origins you do not know of? Next time a gyarados will eat you.

Rasa grunted, shaking her head as she sat up the pokemon falling from her upper chest into her lap. He looked horrible.

"Your broke the window!"

"I am sorry, master."

"I am not paying for that, lets go!"

The voices sounded panicky and much clearer now with a pokemon shaped hole in window through which the sound unrestricted traveled thougth. Rasa didnt paid it too much attention, she didnt even glance towards Grazia at this point. Cradling the pokemon carefully in her hand she stood up,looking out the window for his trainer. He needed his pokeball, it was the only thing on Rasa mind. Inside the pokeball the wounds of the pokemon would not become worse, his health would be stable. Giving the trainer the time to get to the pokecenter to heal him.

No soul was outside. Looking back at the pokemon in her arm which name she didnt even knew, he looked as good as dead. A over kill hit. Rasa feared the little guy in her arms will not make it...

Why?

Why would anyone be like that?

Once more in the last 24h Rasa made a snap decision. If the pokemon was already registered to a pokeball and someone's else pokedex, it wouldnt even work. She would not be able to do it. She prayed for it to work, as her hand was reaching into her bag, kneeing to not jolts the guy in her arms any further, she pull out a pokeball and taped it against the pokemon forehead.

The ball opened and pulled the pokemon from her arms into the safety of the red and white ball. Instantly the ball pinged announcing the successful capture.

Only than with the pokemon ball in hand Rasa, relaxed sliding against the wall of the broken window. Not showing any care for the cuts on her or that she was sitting on glass shards. Now they had the time to get him to the pokecenter and maybe get a small breather. With that thought she looked at Grazia. Her smile turning wide. "Good morning, have you slept well? I am sorry about the sudden awakening." She tilted her head, concluding a few implication of the events of just now. "Your tube top is done, and get breakfast while I speak with the management."

@Bright_OpsCyndaquil frowned down at the floor as Gredy spoke. He knew he was trying to comfort him by providing some reasoning—and actually, it didn’t sound false. He just couldn’t believe that he was caught just to only be traded so easily. He thought that they were becoming friends.

Well…your ‘trainer’ did give you to me, but since his opinion is worth less then dirt to me, would you like to partner up with me?

The Pokemon was silent. He looked up at Gredy with fear and uncertainty in his eyes. He didn’t know him all that well, then again, he hadn’t known Jeff much either. Raising his sleeve to his eyes to dry them, he scowled softly as he asked, “You’re not going to just trade me are you?”

He glanced over at the mob of trainers who were so eager to get rid of their Pokemon. Pokemon like him!

Cyndaquil then glanced at the floor as he muttered as though he might actually consider Gredy’s offer, “If you do become my trainer, then…I don’t want to be named Chris anymore. I want a new name.”
