I understand everyone's excited to post and to keep things going, especially in the starting days of the RP...but can we slow down on the pace a little? We're on the tail end of our first encounter and I think some of us haven't even intro'd yet.

First encounter? More like tutorial baby mode. Personally, I'm not all that concerned about this speed until we get to the main fight, in which then, yah, lets do it in post rounds rather than free for all.

Like, yo, this is literally the fodder dunking fight.

These early couple of fights against bandits are going to be pretty easy(though as many have guessed things are a bit more complicated when we get to the camp). It's after this starter arc where things will get more involved.

Burnout requires a serious lack of variety - the dialogue alone is varied enough to keep this freight-train rolling, because every character has their own motivations to attend to in addition to everyone else's.

Let me know if how I'm viewing the battle is wrong.

Given this isn't all the bandits and I'm just letting the fight go long enough that everyone can sufficiently participate and introduce themselves, I don't think burnout is much of a risk right now.

Next update I make will probably end this fight completely.

So because it isn't actually written down anywhere in the intro, some other facts about paladins aside from the whole "religious warrior" part of it. They're actually part of the clergy and can officiate weddings or perform religious ceremonies and services--pretty much what you'd expect. The main difference between them and higher-ranking priests† is that instead of conducting services or doing much in the way of organisational or social work or theological stuff they're... meant to go out and fight. A large amount probably retire into priestly positions but in this case that's obviously not happening. They're not super common either--whilst they're common enough to see because they travel around a lot, they're like the more important priests in that there's substantially less of them in the country than knights in general (let alone men at arms if we want to get into those distinctions).

Apart from that, they get blessed equipment.
