It always is a puzzle to me when I am asked for my opinion and insight on a matter directly and it becomes evident my response was not what the individual wished to hear. Would they rather I have lied to them and played sycophant? I do not grovel for favor nor clamor to share their, or anyone else's, opinion. Why bother asking for the truth of the matter if one was not willing to face it? Again, people know not that which they desire, I suppose, but I am afraid I will never understand why they expect otherwise from me.

My family and I have been watching the Harry Potter Series for about a week now. We are currently viewing #7 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I.

I never read all the books nor watched all the Harry Potter movies, and even though I want to it'd be pointless as I already know the spoilers. People are terrible.

I read the books twice. They are the only books I have ever read more than once; they were that good. No ONE person could ever spoil any of the Harry Potter books. There is so much content in each book, it would require between five and eight hours of movie to do each book justice. The movies are fun, but fall desperately short from what the books do.

It's a little strange, but when it rains, I love listening to old radio shows and sipping a cup of tea, while eating toast. It's peaceful

I agree with everything you said here. While it is true that the truth is often the hardest thing to hear, it is best to be honest with someone than to just appease to what they want to hear. I mean, I've always been a fan of never sugarcoating an opinion.

I shoveled snow this morning. I live in Southeastern Massachusetts. Although snow is a common precipitation in this region of the country, it did not snow here at all in February; wintertime. It is now springtime, Saturday, 18 April and there is snow on the front yard. Unbelievable. Prior to this COVID-19 pandemic, we were working on only one snow day for the year that would be made up. Then it snows in the Spring. Pardon me if I appear a bit shocked.

When I drink, one of the first things to go is my memory. Like I'll be having a good time after a few drinks but not to the point where I'm stumbling around, yet the next morning I won't remember parts of the night. Not sure if it's like this for everyone else.

I have not gotten drunk in many years. I do recall a night between Christmas and New Years in Germany, where I drank an entire liter bottle of Apfelkorn (apple whiskey) and three double bach (XX) beers (0.5 liter). I had some blank spots in my memory that night for sure. Lots of vomit too. I do not know how I got to my own bed that night.

Some of my drunkest experiences have been while on deployment. These are embarrassing, so please bear with me.

In Guantanamo Bay, we had a house party and we were playing King's Cup. I could have sworn I had like 3 drinks, but silly me got wasted, and it wasn't long before I knew I was crazy drunk. They walked me to a room and they said I fell on the bed face down and didn't move. They even walked in a few times to make sure I was still breathing. Needless to say I had a terrible hangover the next day.

Even though I spend at least 4 hours a day playing video games, I am pretty shit at them.
