I have a phobia of needles, but only if they're injected perpendicular to the skin. I can get a blood test perfectly fine, but fly into a panic at the idea of something like a flu shot.

@Obscene Symphony That is an oddly specific phobia.

I am uncomfortable with heights. It's not the height itself that I fear, rather the feeling of helplessness one experiences while falling. I got the same terrifying feeling of helplessness when my car slid on some ice.

@Skwint Yeah, I hear phobias are irrational like that xD

I've slid on ice a lot, but only crashed from it once. Everything must have slowed down because I thought I traveled a fair distance before losing control, but a trip back to the site the next day made it clear I must have lost control almost immediately after I started slipping. I crashed off the side of the highway just inches between a boulder and a cliff - lucky!

It was a damn good attempt tho. If I'd remembered to take my foot off the gas I totally could have recovered xD

I have no fear of needles. I can't imagine anyone who "enjoys" having sharp metallic objects inserted in their flesh, but I will sit and watch the insertion, perfectly content about what is going on. Of course, having 20+ shots in one day sort of makes you numb to the pain.

When I was a teenager I would nap in a nest of tree branches about 20ft or so off the ground. Would wake up to cute little birds hopping around me. :3

When I was a child I fell out of a tree when the branch I was standing on broke.

When I was a child, I did not fall, I jumped from the top of a jungle gym (Old style galvanized steel with sand pit) and broke my left leg.

Coincidentally, 33 years later, I had a daughter born on the same day.

I fell out of my bunk bed a few times as a child while I slept. The first few times I woke up crying. That last few times it happened, I just went back to sleep (on the ground).

While I never had any falling accidents, and never broke a bone or had a sprain, I am incredibly clumsy and oblivious. I've hit my head with significant force probably over a 100 times. Once I had a fireplace spike pierce my skull.

Oh, and my mentally challenged cousin almost drowned me, too. I was around 13 or so? They pushed me underwater despite having floaties. I was under there long enough to blackout.

Two reasons why I mentally like 16 forever. x,x'
