I am going to kill Nate with how this sheet has plagued me all morning. I finally got it to agree with me. Finally.
Just do what I do; moan about it on discord, and await the inevitable PM with a fully-complete code set up to your specific character needs with only a handful of big bright "JUST WRITE YOUR SHIT HERE YOU IDIOT" boxes left to finish.

A lot of her is completely fascinated by her power and her… unique perspective has made her curiouser about it as the days go on. If her power has affected how the world sees her, how can she use her power to change that? That could be interesting. G O A L S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ The dream was to go pro. As a former basketball and track star, Lakisha once dreamed of making it big. That doesn’t seem to be in the cards for her anymore and she’s aghast at what to really do. With that in mind, since her past dreams have been thrown aside due to her apparent hyperhuman genetics, she has started to sit and think about what the next chapter in her life is. Activism? Public Service? There are a number of options and her goal is to settle on one of them. - ▅ N O T E S ▅ N O T E S ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ - M I S C E L L A N E O U S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Font Color: dodgerblue FC: Amandla Stenberg Lakisha never knew her parents. Her real parents. Given through them is why her hypegene manifested in the first place, there is a big question mark on who they were/are and why exactly she was orphaned in the first place. Perhaps she could be persuaded to be interested in that in the future. Or maybe more nefarious forces already know something? It’s a mystery. - _________________________________________________________ | ▅ S T U D E N T S Y N O P S I S ▅ S T U D E N T S Y N O P S I S ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ Lakisha never knew her real parents. Adopted by James and Samantha Howard when she was three-years-old, the Afro-Canadian had no idea she would be predisposed to hyperhuman genetics. Her parents didn’t know. Nobody knew. Nobody would know for over a decade. The Howard household was a positive living situation. Her father was a reputable medical surgeon and her mother was a remotely successful novelist working from home. She couldn’t have dreamed of a better living situation. She never wondered who her real parents were despite it being clear she was adopted. There were no secrets in the family. No real tension. The only thing Lakisha could complain about growing up in Windsor was how her father’s work often kept him very busy. Doctors were busy people. That made sense. It sucked, but it made sense. By the time she was seventeen-years-old, things had turned out pretty even-handed all things considered given the times she grew up in. She started playing basketball when she was nine and her interest in track-and-field seemed to compliment her growing athleticism well. In many respects these were hobbies-turned-passions that complimented her exceeding level of impatience and impulsiveness. Ironically, Lakisha could look back at these elements of her personality as signs of what was to come. With her life upended by her manifestation, she looks to PRCU as a possible gateway to a better future. Though, really, what choice does she have? ▅ P E R S O N A L I T Y ▅ P E R S O N A L I T Y ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ The first to volunteer and the last to wait around, Lakisha has always could be described as a “go-getter”. Coupled with an empathetic point-of-view and an almost carnivorous competitiveness to match, Lakisha is the definition of someone who has the kindness to match her impatient diction to make solutions whether they are actively the best solution or not. Her judge of character, well, she doesn’t really have the experience to know when someone is being implicitly deceptive or holding back. She’s been honest with people and forthright in her intentions, so she doesn’t think about it when people aren’t. Not that she expects everyone to be honest communicators, she’s not naive. Her perception of people and their general attitudes and distinctions are all based on what she sees and hears, and if someone gives off a bad impression that she finds heartless she will be quick to call them out. Lakisha doesn’t mince words or feelings. Her brain already goes at one thousand miles per hour and it did that before her hypegene manifested itself in the middle of a basketball game. In fact, if someone is being an asshole? It’s game time. Lakisha has developed a sarcastic sense of humor and she isn’t afraid to weaponize it. This is an extension of her playfulness, which can be seen in a variety of ways including jovial pranks and witticisms, and at times it seems like Lakisha isn’t sure what boundaries are, or rather, doesn’t remember what said boundaries would be. Sensory overload plus hypegene plus being a fish-out-of-water in a province she’s never visited has that kind of effect on someone, after all. ▅ A B I L I T I E S, L I M I T A T I O N S, & W E A K N E S S E S ▅ A B I L I T I E S, L I M I T A T I O N S, & W E A K N E S S E S ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ H Y P E R H U M A N A B I L I T Y || A C C E L E R A T I O N __PRIMARY CLASSIFICATION || Esoteric __SECONDARY CLASSIFICATION || Somatic Lakisha has the power of Acceleration Manipulation. Through the manipulation of her body, she can move at an exponentially quickening speed allowing her to move from one place to the other at incredible pace. L I M I T A T I O N S || P A T H I N G Beyond the need to reach faster speeds through her own personal momentum, there are a few limitations to take account of with Lakisha’s abilities. But it all revolves around pathing and directional movement. To reach optimal speed at any point in time, she has to stay in motion in a straight line. Sharp turns are extremely problematic. The best turns are gradual turns or environmental-affected movement. In 99.9% of all situations, Lakisha’s worst enemy is the sharp turn. In the worst case scenario, a sharp turn at constant acceleration will lead to hazardous inflictions on her body. Being surrounded by sports (and medicine thanks to her dad) her entire life, she is more than aware how mundane people can end up with MCL and ACL tears which completely curb their athleticism. How does her healing work as a hype? She doesn’t know. With that level of ignorance it is better to play it safe if she is going to use her powers actively. And to play it safe without slowing down she is going to have to run in a straight line or soft curve at best. In many ways, it reminds her of racing video games–if you need to turn, take your hand off the gas or think… creatively. W E A K N E S S E S || E N E R G Y + S T R A I N Lakisha’s ability to generate speed is finite. The faster she goes, the more energy she consumes, and eventually, like Icarus, she will burn out when she gets too close to the proverbial sun. Additionally, long-term use of her acceleration abilities provide Lakisha with a good deal of strain on her body; from her muscles to her mental alacrity itself. Pushing her body past its limits has a lot of potential, but it also has a lot of strain. Migraines, joint pain, and muscle tension are all side effects she has noticed to different degrees. She isn’t even remotely sure if continued use will up her tolerance for pain or not. She’s a big girl, though, if she’s to use her powers consistently she figures she can handle whatever it throws at her. ▅ S K I L L S & T A L E N T S ▅ S K I L L S & T A L E N T S ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ S K I L L || Basketball Lakisha started playing basketball when she was nine-years-old and served as her high school girl’s basketball team’s starting point guard. As such she developed keen hand-eye coordination, shoot skills, lane awareness, and passing abilities. She still plays as something to occupy her mind when she can’t sleep. S K I L L || Guitar Lakisha picked up the guitar at fourteen as one of her revolving door of hobbies. She’s kept at it since. T A L E N T || Artistic Expression Born with an expressive personality and a knack for getting it out on the page, Lakisha is a pretty decent artist. She uses her sketchbook to write songs as much as she uses it to draw people and objects. T A L E N T || Athleticism Born with an athletic metabolism (though perhaps that was the hypegene all along), Lakisha is quick on her feet with good lateral movement as well. Before her hypegene manifested she participated in various sports including track-and-field as well as basketball. ________________________________________________________________________________________ |
Dreams were a funny thing.
For Lakisha most often they didn’t make any sense. Most of the time she didn’t wake up in tears or glee, but rather confusion. They were mysteries she sat down to reconstruct, sitting in the middle of her bed wondering what had just happened. For something to end so abruptly that she woke up in the middle of the night it meant one of two things: something loud outside of her room, or the first honest-to-god nightmare she had ever had since she was six.
“I dunno,” she shrugged at the question, “must’ve been something weird.”
She looked down at the floor, thinking as hard as she could about the possibility. She sighs, “I haven’t had a nightmare since I was six.”
It was a particular description. ‘A disheveled person’ could mean anything and anyone. As a woman, she knew the threats that lingered in the shadows and societal fears. Her mother had made sure she was careful anytime she went outside the house for a reason, though personally Lakisha didn’t have any distinct fear of the unknown. People who looked unkempt deserved sympathy–they were not a monolith predisposed to violence and harm. Her father was a doctor; healing came naturally to her.
“People who need help look pretty out there at times, right? Turning someone away because of stranger danger isn’t me. That’s not how I was raised.”
She crossed her arms, a devil-may-care smirk on her face.
“Besides, I’m pretty confident I can outrun them if it turns to shit.”
Of all the questions, this was one that seemed to come to Lakisha the easiest.
“Who needs my help?”

Roman is always the first person to support me. It feels nice.
Maybe something like HZEs interacting to enhance fast twitch muscle fibres or something.
