The tail is warm and fluffy, and is also capable of being used as an extra limb to grasp and bounce with. It gets tucked away when she needs to assume a civilian identity, which, in her own words, gives her "a conspicuously awesome butt". ◼ "Squirrelese" Her squirrelly nature allows Squirrel Girl to communicate with squirrels. She can mimic their sounds and even direct their actions, including in combat if she so wished. ◼ Superhuman Attributes Squirrel Girl can lift up to twenty five tons and can easily leap several stories. She also has superhuman jaw strength, though chewing through your problems is the least of your worries when you're leading an army of squirrels. ◼ Eyesight Like squirrels, Squirrel Girl has better eyesight than most. Her eyes even have excellent night vision, and are often seen "glowing" red in the dark. ◼ Healing Factor Squirrel Girl can heal somewhat faster from injuries than other people, but not as quick as Wolverine, Deadpool, or any other hero that might also have a strong healing factor. - T O O L (S) ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ ◼ Monkey Joe (& Co) The squirrels that Squirrel Girl commands (and is best friends with). Monkey Joe has been by her side since the beginning, and the other squirrels came along later on. Experts at subterfuge, they can swarm quickly and are dangerous in number. ◼ Spikes & Claws Squirrel Girl's gloves have sharp claws built into them. She also has a retractable knuckle spike that can carve through solid wood. ◼ Utility Belt Though the belt has many pockets for tools and other hero gadgets, it primarily contains various types of nuts. Her style is primarily unorthodox mixed in with some moves learned from online tutorials. - | T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... T H E S T O R Y S O F A R... Doreen Allene Green has always been a bit of an oddball. Born with a squirrel tail, she found it difficult to fit in with others. Even in a world of superheroes, kids are and can still be total dicks. A family doctor declared that she wasn't a "mutant", but even he couldn't explain the squirrelly features that Doreen had. Well, thanks, doc. It's always helpful to tell a kid that you don't know what makes you "you". You, your bushy tail, superhuman attributes and... the ability to communicate with squirrels?! Yup, you've heard that right. After Doreen saved the life of a neighborhood squirrel from a vicious dog, things got a little weird, and a little heroic, too. Grateful for her help, the squirrel, known as Monkey Joe, encouraged the youth to use her abilities to help others like she had done for him. The words stuck in Doreen's head. Heroism—being a hero. Golly gee, it sounded fun. And so, with Monkey Joe now at her side, Doreen set out for a heroic life of "kickassery". She found herself idolizing the heroes that she read about online in articles. Captain America, among other heroes. The greats that constantly changed the world (for better or worse). Doreen wanted to be with them. To be by their side, kicking evil villain butt right along with them. Problem is, when you're stuck in nowhereville, there isn't much butt kicking to go around—just some small town fry. But, hey, every great hero had to start somewhere, and if keeping the local store from being robbed is her start, then so be it! P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) P L O T ( S ) & G O A L ( S ) Put simply, I'm a sucker for Squirrel Girl. I'm totally not a one-trick SG lord in Rivals, no siree. You've got the wrong roleplayer, I tell ya. Anyway, Squirrel Girl has largely been a joke character. She exists to be "unbeatable", defeating the likes of Doctor Doom, Juggernaut, Thanos, and even Galactus. What I want to do is pull away from that aspect and focus upon a more realistic version of Squirrel Girl (at least, "comic realistic"). The jokes will still be there; it'll just be less zany cheese and throwaway gags. She may think she is unbeatable, but I don't want this to full of "press 1 and instantly win the game/battle" story beats. So, to combat this, I'm going to start all the way at the beginning. Marvel Super-Heroes (Vol. 2) #8-like, wherein Squirrel Girl is a dumb kid and her squirrels trying to be jumpstart heroes. Essentially, what I intend on is a zero-to-hero type storyline, wherein Squirrel Girl works her way up to the ranks of the heroes she has grown to idolize. As for other story beats or plot points that might come into play, I'm thinking: - Is Squirrel Girl a mutant? This is left ambiguous; the writers say she is "distinct from a mutant" and that her genes had been modified by unknown means, but regardless people still debate if she is a mutant or a mutate. I think it'd be a fun thing to explore perhaps with a mutant/X-Men player(s). - Will Squirrel Girl join any organization? Squirrel Girl has been in quite of a lot of teams or initiatives. The Great Lakes, US Avengers, etc. Perhaps an apprenticeship is down the line since she spends her time idolizing superheroes. - Is Monkey Joe marked for death? Perhaps. Tippy Toe and the others are bound to show up, but whether or not our favorite squirrel pal will be crushed to death is up in the air. It could work for a great cliffhanger issue. These are just some of the ideas I've had bouncing around in my head. I'm open to others, though I've never been big on DC so forgive me if your ideas are DC-inspired and I look at you clueless. |
Question for the group. As i make my Winter Soldier Sheet and storyboard, I was going to keep the Natasha Romanov romance, so I was wondering if using Black Widow would be too much since she is a big player in Marvel nowadays? I also could go another route with Quake, a side character who for awhile was Bucky's right hand.

I can't speak for everyone, but I rather my crossovers be coordinated in advance. I wouldn't particularly welcome it if someone were to interject themselves in my plot without an invitation being extended first.
By which argument again, every post can more or less be in the present unless otherwise stated or previously coordinated.

When it comes to events in Metropolis that you don't want Thor interfering in can I get a heads up so I can prepare a reason for his absence or lack of interference so Thor's not out here looking like a bum who doesn't care about protecting his city and people? Like now with Lobo hovering in the middle of Metropolis and creating a sonic boom while doing so. For this I would prefer if it was happening at the same time as the Fire Trolls event so Thor would have a legitimate reason for not being there and at least confronting Lobo's presence.
<Snipped quote by King Kindred>
I think the simplest thing is to not address it. Same as how theirs approximately one hero per square mile in New York City in Marvel but they aren't constantly tripping over eachother. Most of us will just assume Thor is elsewhere doing other things.
Things happen fast yknow, it would be cool to see people interacting/crossing over in the aftermath of these events though... I'm giving myself ideas.

The onus is not going to be on me to tell you when not to be involved. Unless you're completely gone deaf, I've very clearly stated my feelings on the matter, if I want the interaction an invitation will be put forth.
As others have noted, it's not unusual for multiple heroes to occupy a space where events happen without them all dogpiling on them. By your logic, if you had placed Thor in New York you'd be expecting Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Martian Manhunter etc all to communicate anytime they didn't want Thor to intervene in their plots.
Which hopefully sounds as ridiculous to you as it is.
@King Kindred@Lord Wraith
In any group dynamic, disagreements and differences of perspective are inevitable. As much as I appreciate the discourse, there comes a point where it starts to become unproductive.
If there needs to be further discussion of this, I think that would be better done privately, either with or without one or both of the GMs.
<Snipped quote by Bounce>
I've made my position crystal clear. Should the GMs feel they need to intervene, I welcome them to veto me. But should Thor intervene with my plots uninvited, my plots will retaliate in force.
