Also @Sep, seems that Green Goblin will have to wrestle back his title from Martian Manhunter now until his actual title is revealed.

And @Lord Wraith, if you're still stuck on how to get Clark out of his programming, might I suggest combining matt's idea of being startled by people fearing him with the smell of Ma Kent baking his favorite apple pie? Scent is the sense most closely associated with memory and Clark is also supposed to have an incredible nose...So it would be a bit goofy but also quite in character for him.

Appreciate the suggestion, but I think I have a different path forward now.

I should at this point also point out that Kal-El was moving too fast for any one in Metropolis to have seen him. Hence the moniker 'the Blur', so I don't think the fear angle is particularly in place at this time.

Smallville, slightly different circumstance there.

Speaking of this though, I realize now that I forgot to put an Argus response to Martian Manhunter on the news in my post...

When the boy attempted to go for one last attack, suddenly... Lightning lanced through the entire world. Golden bolts, something was happening. "What in the Gods?!" He managed to yell, just before disappearing. Bailey watched as Shazam arrived back at the rock, approaching the statue of Solomon, he put his hand on it and his eyes glowed an intense white. "That damnable Speed Force, it's champions are reckless beyond imagining... No... No that's not possible... The boy was right there. No... No, he can't just be gone... From this timeline, from ALL timelines." He grunted. "How is this possible? The Web of Life? But... That is New God magics..."


May I inquire what one means by this

@Sep what part, specifically?

Speed Force part is trying to tie it into Supermaxx's first post about Flashpoint having happened. Saying that the Flashpoint had larger repurcussions than one may realize.

The Web of Life bit is, as it says in my CS that Bailey was cut out of the Web of Life, thats why he disappeared. Done with Magics that neither Shazam nor Solomon recognize, so he assumes its from The New Gods.

Also, the "Mysterious Being" from earlier may have something to do with this.

@Sep 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Point is, he channelled too much Speed Force to break a boundary that shouldn't have been broken and that has knock-on effects.
