I thought the shield was already down?
The shield around the lab went down, but there's an identical one surrounding the planet. Unknown how much juice that one has left in it.

I guess that makes sense. The more you know.

@Webmaster i did (i hope i can remember it all lol)
@Webmasterhmm where should i drop right here or somewhere else? (Im new to this whole platform too but im not new to roleplaying)
Wow, I haven't been here in... six years now? Came back in a fit of nostalgia. Jeez, I was a bad roleplayer way back when.
Edit: Five years. And wow, I was bad at RPing. Gonna wipe the slate clean and start wholly new, if I decide to start again.

I do not remember much from the specific era you were last here, haha. Those were crazy times in the world. But glad to see you back and doing alright! How ya been?
No pressure on rejoining or anything like that. If you do decide to give it another whirl, we’ll be goad to have you.

I was probably not old enough to be here when I first appeared, lmao; that's why I just sorta ghosted the whole forum after a little bit.
But yeah, that was an entire segment of my life went by, and now I'm in college. It's crazy. Yeah, I think I'll bring in the one character I have that actually justifies the existence of a roster of other characters who just happen to be wherever they need to be (they're bound to him and under his control, a la the G-Man from Half-Life).

Hey, wild to see you again after all these years! Yeah, you're welcome back. If you don't mind, just refresh us on who you want to throw in, their motivations/powers/backstory, and we'll figure out how to rope them in.
Okay, I think I finished it. Here goes:Name: “Mr. Lucy”
Age: Unknown
Sex: Fluid
Species: “That’s not something you ask on the first date, honey.”
Physical Description: Mr. Lucy doesn’t have a preferred appearance. He wears the skin he feels like he (or she) should wear in the moment. That said, he’s long had a liking for the Earth formalwear of the 19th-21st centuries; $30,000 custom-tailored Armani suits, reflective aviator shades, and black silk gloves define his aesthetic. His vanity, too, ensures that whatever face he chooses to wear is one of peerless beauty, even if such an eye-catching appearance is not ideal for his purposes.
Abilities:
Shapeshifting - Mr. Lucy can shape his form as he wishes, customizing his appearance to enhance his looks or impersonate another person he’s seen. He’s also capable of, to a limited degree, controlling the chemical and physical properties of his own body’s matter, allowing him to perform inhuman feats of strength and speed by manipulating his own momentum. He’s not infinitely strong, but his strength makes defeating most human enemies a trivial issue, and he can do things like hurling cars and even buildings as projectiles with ease.
Soul-Binding - Mr. Lucy can touch a recently-deceased corpse and bind the soul back into it, resurrecting the person and gaining control over their soul in the process. Once a person has been soul-bound, he is able to modify their memories to any extent, see through their eyes, and even possess their bodies for a short time, but he cannot modify their personalities. This makes selecting the right person to bind (often requiring him to kill them first) very important. Much like Mr. Lucy himself, soul-bound thralls cannot permanently die; they reform after some time in Lucy’s “mausoleum” when killed (which happens quite often).
Souls that are more at peace with the world and themselves are able to slip from Lucy’s grasp, and so Lucy’s thralls tend to be... troubled, to say the least.
The Mausoleum - A pocket dimension that Mr. Lucy has access to. This seemingly-infinite crypt-like structure contains the unconscious bodies of the soul-bound, each contained in a burial chamber matching their personality. Lucy is capable of “deploying” the soul-bound from the Mausoleum at will into other dimensions for his own purposes.
Illusions - Mr. Lucy is capable of creating extremely elaborate psychic illusions that can fool even the most trained eyes. Like faerie fire, the illusion is so convincing that someone who “dies” in the illusion can easily die in real life if they don’t realize it’s fake. Only truesight, or some other power that bypasses illusions altogether or allows a person to naturally tell them apart from reality, can defeat them.
Enchantment - Lucy possesses a singing voice like the sirens of old. By projecting his song into someone’s mind, he can enchant them. A song of love leaves them a helpless devotee. A song of rage inspires violent fantasies and drives them to kill his enemies. A song of rest stops their heart altogether. By singing well enough, and projecting the song far enough, he can snuff out a whole world, an act which he has done before.
Chaos Magick - Lucy, as a being of concepts, is capable of interfacing with concepts to produce magic. By using the discipline mortals call chaos magick (a real thing; look it up), Lucy produces effects through an eclectic mix of sympathetic magic, ritual, and spirit-calling. Such magic is never overt; he can’t throw a fireball, but he can certainly hex you so that you get struck by a car the next time you go on a walk.
Movement Unimpeded - Mr. Lucy is capable of moving between all but the hardest dimensional barriers unimpeded, and moving through realspace at superluminal speed by folding space around him. By dipping into the subspatial aether and moving faster than light before reappearing, he can appear to teleport, and by using the Mausoleum as an anchor point, he can jump between dimensions.
Resurrective Immortality - Lucy doesn’t die, not permanently. His physical body represents only a tiny part of his true being, and so, if something “kills” him, it’s not too difficult for him to recreate his matter and pop back into existence in the Mausoleum. That said, there’s nothing he fears more than banishment; he’s apparently been banished from reality altogether at least once, and the experience did not have a positive impact on his demeanor once he managed to escape.
Weaknesses:
Wards - Certain symbols of supernatural protection are capable of stopping Lucy. He cannot enter a room whose doors have all been marked with a pentacle, or cross a line or circle of salt. Holy symbols, like crucifixes or the Star of David, don’t harm him but do prevent him from touching or performing magic upon someone wearing them, provided the symbol is worn with sincere belief in whatever power it represents. However, erase the pentacle, break the line of salt, or take off the symbol, even for a moment, and he has his in. This is why he uses soul-bound thralls; they can ignore the obstacles that restrict him.
Word-Bound - Lucy is incapable of going back on his word. A promise made is a promise kept, and a debt is always repaid; there is no other option.
Hospitality - Lucy cannot enter any dwelling or residence unless someone inside invites him in. Again, this is why he uses the soul-bound.
Mirrors - Lucy HATES being shown his own reflection; as vain as he is, he sees his own reflection as intolerably ugly and considers someone showing it to him as a personal attack. It’s the easiest way to send him flying into a rage.

Thanks for submitting! The one area we ought to hash out is that chaotic-aligned characters (especially those that drift to the evil side) are hard to keep on screen since we generally follow neutral to good aligned characters. So the question would be whether he'd have the self control to not drive away the crew the camera is following. After all, no fun in RPing solo =P
<Snipped quote by Legend Begins>
That's a fair concern. I try to get around that by the fact that he is naturally attracted to things happening (because he feeds on things happening), so he'd naturally tend to appear at scenes of violence, discord, etc.
Also, he's just pretty good at masking in general, and likes people enough to mask for them (because he likes being admired/liked)
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>
So he'd be able to hold a conversation if people happen to be chilling between major events?
