I've been feeling a bit nostalgic recently for when I used to draw.
The truth is, I reached a point where I was just pushing myself too hard to #GetGud that it really burnt out my confidence, my creativity and my desire to grow.

Below are the last few digital art pieces I did back during lockdown. I can see plenty of mistakes, but looking back, I kind of wonder why I let myself ruin something I enjoyed so much.


I don't really think I'm ready to return to digital art again. But it might be fun to dabble with traditional. I've been thinking alot about what it actually means to live an enjoyable life. It seems like such a simple concept, doesn't it? You only get one life so it makes sense to enjoy it. But I think sometimes we can get so mixed up in our own thoughts, or bogged down by the outside world, that we lose sight of stuff like that. I'd like to make things simpler for myself. Approach life in a more simpler way.

Stylisation Practice

I am currently getting back into pencil drawing and I am offering cartoony headshots in a slightly gothic, medieval or regency style.

If you would like one for your character please:

Tell me their name. Provide a reference image that you are using for them. A little bit about their personality, or any items or motifs associated with them (e.g. flowers, birds, skulls, books, gems, jewellery, vibes), would also be helpful.also if you want to share your RP with them in that would be cool but no pressure

I'm a bit quicker drawing ladies then gentlemen. Elements such as horns, fangs, wings ect. are fair game, although if you ask me to draw an anthropomorphic creature it depends on whether I feel up to it.

@Mae Hey there! I've gotten art from you before, and it was so lovely. I don't see any requests here yet, so if I may, I'd like to ask for art of Amuné Ris. She's my Seer girl, and while I have a chibi and some modern art of her, I don't have anything of her for her current rp.



The third image shows best how her hair is on the sides -- longer in front, shorter in back. She does have bangs. For this particular rp, a four-pointed star is something that tuns up a lot -- it's the symbol of the goddess whose champion Amuné is. (There's a prophecy and everything, but that's getting into the weeds). Amuné also is a healer, so flowers and herbs are another motif you could use.

She can be stubborn, once she gets an idea in her head. She thinks of herself as a nobody from a backwater town, and has trouble being the center of attention. It makes her uneasy.
