New post coming....eventually. I've been in kind of a funk when it comes to superhero stuff in general. I'm starting to realize that this RP group is pretty much the only thing left of the superhero genre I still enjoy. Everything else I've either lost interest in or actively hate in its current form, so I dunno, just gotta find the spark to be the change I wanna see and all that.

Think you can beat my concept? By day, mild-mannered Clark Kent is a reporter and by night... same fucking guy. No Superman at all.

Byrd Man playing a powerless, hard-hitting investigative journalist? Fuck it, I wouldn't even challenge that.

Ah. I recognize that. Bendis is writing for your favourite character's book.

So on that note then, Who is everyone's respective favourite character? And what run of theirs is your favourite to date?

I think everyone knows by now that Nightwing is my favourite character as for my favourite run it has to be the Volume 2 that started in 1996 when Dixon was writing. Back when Nightwing first moved to Blüdhaven and really began striking out on his own. Is it the best comics I've ever read? Probably not, the writing isn't half bad but there's a lot of Batman/Daredevil going on and as much as I like some of the villains, the vast majority of them are utterly forgettable. But there's something about that particular run that stands out to me.

My favourite character growing up was far and away Wolverine, but I can't remember the last time I picked up a Wolverine comic. I'm not really sure that I'd say I had a favourite character anymore. I'd hate to say that I "grew out" of it, because that's not strictly true, I think I just stopped zeroing in on any particular corner of the Marvel universe.

As for what run I enjoyed the most. I'd have to say that Ed Brubaker's run(s) on Captain America, Iron Fist, or Daredevil are a real standout for me. If I had to choose between the three, I'd say his work on Iron Fist. What he did for that character doesn't get anywhere near enough credit. His Captain America run (especially what he did with Bucky) is fantastic also, though.

Basically, it's a tough one.

That's exactly what inspired me to put up the Iron Fist CS (Totally not that all my actual favorite street level heroes were taken... not at all... nervous laughter). Don't want to spoil anything, but if I make it to next season with Iron Fist still going strong, maybe you'll see a little more of his inspiration and story coming into play.

Oh, really? That's interesting. I presumed because of the references to the Hatchets and the Tigers that you were inspired by the Netflix series more than anything else.

I’m using those gangs cause I prefer how his early career is handled in the show with Iron Fist handling street crime on his own, though the Golden Tigers and Chaka are more a reference to the comics than the Netflix show.

To actual answer this question, and get crucified a little... I'd have to say I'm a fan of Roy Harper as Arsenal and the Arsenal progression from Lobdell's run of Red Hood and the Outlaws in the New 52. I have a soft-spot for the more comical take on the character, while also fleshing out and reworking Arsenal's past as an addict. That being said, I'm not particularly fond of that run of the comics as a whole, just a single character and his role to play in it.

Jim Gordon, and it's a tie between Year One and how he was portrayed during Snyder's Detective Comics run.

There were three characters I read the most as a kid growing up in the 90s. Spider-Man, Supergirl, and Sonic the Hedgehog. The blue blur's comic adaption is probably my favorite of the three with either Ian "Potto" Flynn's work on A Bold New Moebius or Enerjak Returns being my favorite of his early runs.
