Are there magic walls preventing people from going in certain directions (It is a maze after all), has the city been magically altered? Is the Castle within the maze? How high can someone go? What happens if someone gets the snot beat out of them or end up in a situation where they're about to be killed/eaten by animals?

Buildings cannot be destroyed or moved

They will be teleported out if they are in any serious danger and placed somewhere else
