Phoebe gave a laugh, grabbing some food "Nicholas is younger then me, but he's very...serious." She said brightly, and smiled "thank you" she said in response to the congratuatulations, and listened as Makoto spoke about why she had chosen the matias arts. It seemed very reasonable. She smiled and nodded, going over to Floods table, and sat down. While she was wary being around flood, simply because you couldn't predict what he'd do or say, he was an okay person. "Hi Flood. Did you actually buy the food today?"

"Yes I did!" He said in a joyful tone. "I also may have set up several paint bombs in the school while under a out of body experience. By which I mean I couldn't control my body." He added as an afterthought. "I also set a trash can on fire. That one I did have control over my body."

Ryan sped into the room and grabbed some food. He quickly ran in and sat down next to Phoebe. He quickly sat down next Phoebe. "Hey." He said looking tired, which was odd for him. "Sorry. Had to do my run. Dad said I need to train more. So I am." He said nodding to Flood. "Hey Flood."

Phoebe narrowed her eyes at Flood "if I get hit by a paint bomb, I will not be happy. Why do you do such things?" She asked, looking over as Ryan sat down, a smile already forming, but when she saw that he was tired, concern entered her expression. She gave him a hug, "is that why you are tired?" She asked

Ryan tried to catch his breath as he kept breathing heavy." I had to run more than I had before. Gotta keep going fast." He said looking around. There was still something off. "I still have a lot of work to do."

Phoebe frowned, waiting until he caught his breath, before asking "What's wrong? it can't just be the training" She said, concern evident in her voice, and she studied him, handing him her water

Ryan grumbled and looked at her. "It's dear old Dad again. He keeps railing on me about not training or something else. He is pissed with me or something..." He said sounding rather sad. "It's nothing, really. So what's your plan for today?" He asked smiling at her.

"Good Morning Flood." she greeted, taking a seat. Makoto smiled at the little exchange between Phoebe and Flood. Though it would be a pain, she thought the paint bombs would be kind of funny. It was paint, so no-one would truly get hurt. If he had planted real bombs she would be concerned. Makoto began to eat her breakfast, fruit and some oatmeal. It was warm and refreshing, she always enjoyed healthier food. There was something crisp and fresh about it that she just loved. "Good morning Ryan." Makoto greeted when he came to sit with them. Again she listened as Phoebe and Ryan interacted. She could tell how much they meant to each other just by how they interacted with one another. It was wonderful and she was happy for Phoebe but... it also made her ache with loneliness. She had no family, no one to be close to that she could share the day's events with. Soon Makoto began to just focus on her meal and inadvertently make herself as invisible as she felt. She felt for Ryan though, her mom had put really tough expectations on her as well... when she was alive. Makoto wanted to help if she could but she nether had any advice for him nor thought it was her place to speak up. Plus, he changed the subject fairly quickly, not wanting to talk about it either in public or at all. Makoto hoped that she was not witnessing the beginning of a butting of heads in their relationship. "Hey Flood, do you know when gym starts?" Makoto asked, trying to move her brain along and focus on something other than the feeling of her heart being compressed.

"Gym starts in 24 minutes and 18 seconds exactly. And as previously said, I was not in control of my body when setting them. To be honest, not even I know where they're planted." Flood explained as he finished his food. " Wow Ryan, you're tired. Hell is chilly today."

Makoto just stared at Flood. She didn't think he was a telepath but how did he know she had been thinking about the paint bombs. "Thanks..." she said hesitantly. Curiosity over taking her she asked what she thought may have potentially been an inappropriate or rude question. "Flood, what are your powers exactly?" Makoto was prepared to answer the question back to the best of her ability if he asked her in turn. Due to her focus on figuring Flood's powers out it took her a moment to catch what he had said to/about Ryan. Makoto guessed he was generally an energetic guy. Makoto still wanted to offer her help, even if it was only a little bit but she was so new... it didn't feel right in this setting to do so. Especially since she wanted to keep Phoebe as a friend, she didn't want to accidentally step on any toes.

"Yes yes yes I'm fine Devika...I'm feeling...more energetic today..." Nicholas said now hiding his emotions form her with his cold tone of voice and blank face that he used so well. "Come let us work on your stomach muscles..." He said deadpan walking over to another machine.

Sleep was optional, or at least it was for Kagerou. The majority of the night she spent meditating. In this case it was a technique that she had developed over time to help her get in character. Akin to hypnotism she created a persona over her own. It was not a simple thing to do and could be dangerous depending on the result. It was effective against telepaths though since she believed the manufactured lie. It was a very real possibility that early attempts left her missing periods of her memory and even loss of her original self. In the end though she passed out as per usual. Waking the next morning with a headache she sat up with a start. The rush left her dizzy and clutching her head. "Damn, not again." Glancing around Kagerou was confused as to where she was. It took a few minutes before it became clear. "Right, I'm at the academy." It crossed her mind that if anyone was around she would probably sound strange talking to herself. Getting ready for the day she headed for the cafeteria to get something to eat. Her head was still hurting and she rubbed her head as she looked for a place to sit.

Ryan drank the water in a few quick sips. He grinned at Flood. "I heard it's snowing down there. Yah I had to run America this morning. Not a straight line but the borders " He said as he ate. "And yes I can get tired. My powers aren't infinite yet. "He looked at Makoto for a second. "Forgot if we met already. Ryan Allen. Son of the Flash. "He said smiling to mask how tired he was. --- Jack looked up from his treadmill and yelled over to the two. "Crunches work better than a machine. "He offered as he kept running.

" This." Flood grabbed a knife and viciously cut off his own hand. "Ahhhhhh!" He screamed which degraded into laughter as his hand began to reattach itself. "I also have experience with various weapons."

Devika gave him an unimpressed look, before looking worried at Kalinda's outburst. Kalinda had certainly felt whatever Nick was feeling, much stronger than she had. It made sense to her that since their powers worked in different ways, they'd be more sensitive to different emotions. Devika knew she tended to absorb sadness and fear much more easily for some reason, and she wondered which Kalinda had felt from Nick. Even though she was annoyed with the other girl a bit, she still hoped Kalinda would be alright. Still, there was nothing she could do- the only way she knew to come down from that was serious alone time. "Alright, just a bit. Gym starts soon and I want to be able to walk straight." She followed him to a new machine. "By the way, I know you're lying, and I wish you wouldn't. It's probably worked for other people, but I can see 'hiding something' stamped on your forehead." She tapped herself between the eyes, and grinned. "If you don't want to talk about it, tell me that, but don't lie, okay?" -- Kijani found herself in the cafeteria. She vaguely remembered dressing and grabbing her things, but she had no idea what would possess her to get the buttermilk pancakes that were in front of her. Carbs and fatty dairy, and was that... maple syrup? She was really trying to hurt herself, huh? She didn't feel like getting up for something else, so she started eating in a half aware way. Sometimes she hated her secondary power. The email from yesterday was seared into her memory, and it kept replaying no matter how hard she tried not to think of it. She knew that her grandmother had been banking on that when she sent it, that Kijani would read the words too quickly to realize what they were. Now the threat had been embedded in her head, and she didn't know what to do. Well... she knew what to do, but it was just a matter of having the courage to do it.

Nicholas stared at her for a few seconds before a grin came onto his face,"Am I really that easy to read?" He asked her sitting down beside the machine she would be using."Mhm then...No i do not know if I should..." Nicholas thought to himself his eyes close for a moment thinking of what to say next but couldn't find the right thin to say,He thought back to what his mother said to him."Maybe later" He said now opening his eyes that glimmered in the light. "But first we need to work on your muscles..." Nicholas said now rather cheerfully to her.

Phoebe rolled her eyes at Flood's antics, "Can we not have blood around food, please? No offense, but I'd rather not eat your blood, Flood" she said calmly, then sighed and went for her apple. "Maybes it's more he doesn't want you to get hurt" She said to Ryan, thoughtfully, knowing that Ryan sometimes resented how his father insisted on him training, and expecting Ryan to follow in his footsteps, fast as they might be. She hesitated as he asked what her plan was for today, "Well, aside from classes? I thought about telling my parents" She said, falling silent as he introduced himself to Makoto. Which caused her to turn her attention to Makoto too, and she asked "I offered to help you with your room, didn't I? if you want, we can decorate it after classes and such today" She said brightly.

Sometimes Connor missed being home, seeing his parents every day. He sometimes wondered what it would of been like if he hadn't come here. And that thought scared him. Because he could picture it, so easily. Going to college, just floating along, No matter what, hhe would be thankful he came here. He watched his mother for a few moments, food forgotten. And he couldn't help but smile as his father came on screen, sneaking up on his mother, who laughed or he imagined so. He switched the phone off, He looked around, and within seconds saw Kijani. Was she eating pancakes? He had never seen her eat pancakes. She didn't even seem to be aware of them. He rose, winding through the tables, and people to her. He knew something was up, but didn't know what.

Ryan thought for a second and figured out what she meant. "Oh right. Want me to be there when you do it?" He said smiling at her. She always knew how to calm him down. He looked over at her and grinned. "Thanks Phoebe." He said sounding a lot better.

Phoebe smiled as Ryan sounded better, and nodded, "Probably best" She said, relieved. She was extremely nervous about telling them, despite the fact that she shouldn't be. But she smiled, and relaxed as Ryan asked, and felt better for it. "Have you told your dad yet?" She asked

Ryan grinned at her. "They will be fine. Course I should have talkedto your father beforehand... He is gonna kill me for this. Or give me the Batglare till my head pops off..." He joked. "I told him. He seemed okay with it. He seemed bothered that had not told him but who cares. We gonna get married no matter what." He said confidently

Estella looked around for Jack. Yesterday had not gone over so well. He reacted pretty harshly to what she said and she didn't know why. Did she do something wrong. Checking where she assumed Jack might hang out, how she knew was a mystery to her. Eventually she came and checked the gym. There he was. Marching over she stood off to the side of the treadmill. "Jack. We need to talk."

Jack was running as fast as he could. He was in his own world right now.He had to keep running and keep going. He saw Estella and kept running. "Well we are in the same spot. What do we need to talk about?" He said as he ran.

Phoebe nodded, with a smile, "We could try telling him at lunch. I'm sure he won't kill you" She said, but there was a slight hesitation there. "It's my mother I'm worried about" She pointed out. finishing off her apple, she saved the seeds, to plant them. She would encourage them to grow, but wouldn't just grow the apple tree. Mainly because she still had trouble with that. Maybe nurturing the seeds would help her with that. "But it will lall be alright"

Ryan looked over her in shock. "He is the Batman! If he doesn't murder me now he might later!" He said with mock fear. "She should be easy. Course she does not like me all that much after that last time..." He said scratching his head.

Phoebe laughed, "He won't hurt you. Because it will hurt me, and I don't think he wants that" She pointed out, shifting slightly, looking to Flood and Makoto. "I don't know what my mother will think" She said truthfully

“Just once, at lunch yesterday briefly.” Makoto answered. She hadn’t expected Ryan to really remember her from the small interaction they had. “My name is Makoto.” She decided that maybe she could give both names “...but please, call me Gale.” Makoto decided that she couldn’t totally leave her past behind her but maybe working through it was better. Maybe instead of completely shedding Makoto to be Gale, she could evolve into Gale from Makoto. “It’s amazing that you can run that far and so fast…” So many of the other student’s powers astounded her. She was never able to place what kind of person with what kind of power she would encounter next. When Flood proceeded to cut of his hand Makoto let out a shrill scream of horror and astonishment. She just looked at him mildly horrified and disturbed. She stayed in this state until she was clearly addressed. Makoto finally looked away from Flood to answer Phoebe. “Yes… I think you did. I would really enjoy that.” She said, quietly and slowly, still somewhat trying to get over the shock of what Flood had just done. She listened to the easy conversation between Ryan and Phoebe. Batglare seemed to give away that Phoebe’s father was Batman, but her power was vines? She was sure that eventually, someday, she may sort out how her classmates came across their powers. Many seemed to come by it honestly, but she had no clue about herself.

Well, he certainly was sure of himself. She quickly looked to the clock, there was time so why not fight fire with fire? Or whatever other banal phrase they used with abundance round here. She leaned forward matching his grin with a soft smile which was not wholly innocent. "For now, you can call me Kat. So tell me Lee" she said, drawing out his name "there are plenty of people around, why talk to me?" Oh validate me white knight, and confirm your importance. It was so cliche it was almost embarrassing if it were not so easy.

"Because why not Kat?" Lee asked drawing out her name in the same manner. "I do not prefer interacting with large groups at once. Its too much noise and confusion. Something I do not enjoy dealing with." He said. "Besides...your not the same as the others are you? No...I can see it in your eyes. You seem to get a thrill out of trouble don't you? You don't directly cause it though, after all if you did you would not be sitting by yourself. No you prefer it when something curious comes to you. Then like a fire with wood thrown on it, you watch as your work increases the flames." Lee said enjoying the conversation he was having with this young woman "Its not anarchy you enjoy to cause. No its more...mischievous I think. After all that's what you are trying to do now isn't it? Lure me in by drawing ever so gently closer with that sweet smile on your face. Your wanting to see how I will react to such action." Lee concluded with a small chuckle. "Im an avid reader myself. Though instead of books I prefer reading people. I can tell beneath that pretty face and that sweet smile is someone who is different from everyone else here and doesn't deny it one moment. You are someone that enjoys living by your own code and not another's. You do not follow others morals nor do you condemn them for their beliefs. You are a very unique shade of gray." Lee said not breaking eye contact with her own eyes. "You are a very interesting read." He concluded.

Ryan nodded at Makoto and grinned. "I have a very quick memory loss. In one ear out the next." He joked eating a bagel quickly. "It has it's drawbacks. I an't run as fast as I want to or else I could either make a tear in the fabric of space time or escape the gravity of Earth." He said shrugging. He turned to look at Phoebe. "She is going to try and kill me. I already know she will. She tried to do it before." He said sounding worried again. "It's worth it though. With out a doubt."
