@Lucius Cypher
One arm per level, culminating into nine arms at level nine. How much real life physics is involved in Deep Ground though? I was originally going with the idea that Soloist would have a lower base speed than others, but that was pretty much it. She doesn't suffer any issues with balance or whatnot, because it's pretty much just her arms.

Why isn't attacking ten times within half a minute possible if you didn't have an ability? That's one attack every three seconds, which is pretty easy to do, if you just want to batter someone after they're down and not care that much about accuracy or damage.

And in regards to the no true damage thing, is this because it's the second Avatar Ability (e.g I can eventually get true damage in higher levels), or is it because true damage doesn't exist at all in Deep Ground?

@Scarifar

Given that a majority of Deep Ground players will be speedsters of some kind, her first and third abilities are fine. However, Smash Slash must either have a lower damage rate or a higher cool down period to compensate that 200% max damage. Other than that, accepted.

Magically Realistic Physics. That is to say, yes being 20 foot tall giant normally isn't possible without some serious square-cube going on, but it's allowed with it's own faults. I'd imagine with your character unless you chose feats or have an ability to circumvent it, she's gunna be pretty heavy, which will affect terrain and mobility. And while I don't expect her to actually throw her weight around as a petite young girl, those arms aren't exactly light as a feather.

Mostly for the sake of combat flow. While I know you can do a lot in a minute, most cool downs take up to about a minute or so. This way it's easier to keep track of cool down times while at the same time giving a sense of stability to otherwise chaotic battles. I would have suggested six-seconds instead, but then any battle post would have to be taken into a collab, otherwise there may be a lot of one-liners since there's only so much you can do in six-seconds.

As I said though, keep it reasonable and I'm willing to play it fast and loose. Stabbing five times with a dagger isn't going to give me cause for alarm, but if you're busting out the omnislash each post we're going to have problems.

As you may notice, most of the mechanics don't do a fixed amount of damage, but work off percentages, multiplication, or division. "True Damage" doesn't do a fixed amount of damage, but a fixed percentage. That means that no matter what sort of armor, barriers, resistances, etc you have it will also do that fixed amount. Very OP if it's easy to use quickly or too much. Such thing is saved for higher-tier (6 and up) abilities, not something you could obtain as early as level 2.

I increased the cooldown to 15 seconds.

That's fine. Please place her into the Character Tab.

Edit: In other news, I think I'm done finishing up the Black King. Now onto the rest of them. Fun. Their appearances at least can be found in the second post of the Character Tab everyone.

Well the Green King looks a bit... scary? Yes, that's the word. It looks like him and Corpse Collector went to the same party!

So my questions are related to me considering the possibility of making a combat focused Warlock Mage. Obviously they can wear no more than cloth for amour but regarding weaponry what do Mages have access to? I assume they primarily use staffs because of their magic enhancing abilities but do they have the option of using other weapons?

As far as regular efficiencies go, without Monodexterous Casting they're limited only to staffs for their melee weapons (Which are pretty weak). With it they can use light one-handed weapons, such as daggers, certain swords, clubs, axes, whips, etc. If you you do want a more melee-focused Warlock Mage, you could try to make due with Avatar Abilities. Maybe have one of your abilities allow you to charge your magic damage through your staff, or conversely turn your magic damage capability into a sort of personal barrier so you can wade into the thick of melee.

As a Warlock you could use your summoned demons to try to go for a fusion type mage, someone who eschews weapons to take on the aspect of their demon. Of course that'll only last as long as the demon will, which is a few minutes at most.

Then you don't need to be one? It's merely an option, and admittedly mages are intended to be the "Soft and squishy but rains death and destruction" type of character. You'd have to use your Avatar Abilities if you really want to focus on being a melee mage, and unlike feats you can't re-pick your avatar abilities.

Mages weren't melee focused to begin with, their spells are their avatar abilities which are all totally up to you as long as they get approved

Thank you. I haven't read everything yet, just what I've read between tutorials. I'll read everything more when I'm home, thanks again!

Appearance (Real Life):

Height: 5ft

Weight: 111lb

Hair Color: Brown

Eye Color: Hazel

Name: Hibiki Toho

Age: 13

History: Hibiki comes from a very wealthy family who has personal bonds in the Deep Ground Online game, with her mother and father both important investors. Her family runs Toho Systems, a conglomerate of computer hardware, program apps, security, and just about anything that you'd imagine is "Futuristic". Hibiki, being the youngest of five, was rather spoiled. Her parent's financial success actually allows them to spend time with their daughter, unlike her older siblings who grew up without them for the most part. It has made some slight tensions, but in the end they're all family.

The biggest issue (If it could even be called that) Hibiki ever had to deal with was her innocence. She thinks that she knows the world, warts and all, and believes that she can actually do something for it. Her parents do nothing to dissuade these notions or even show her what the world is really like outside the walls of her house and the media. So when Hibiki was 13 of course she took part of the Deep Ground Online, using the best her parents would provide for her. She wants to change the world, even if she doesn't really know what's out there.

Personality: Hibiki is naive to the point of stupidity. While having a healthy amount of caution, she still has her youthful vigor and ignorance of danger, more so in Deep Ground since to her it's all just a game. While she can have quite an attitude and a bad mouth when dealing with bullies, she rarely holds grudges for long unless you really do something horrible. For better or for worse, easy to befriend and is a nice kid, even if she constantly wants to hang out with you.

Appearance (Avatar):

Avatar Class: Rogue

Avatar Title: Smitten Kitten

Avatar Level (Initial): 1

Avatar Guild: None

Avatar Abilities:
Cat Cut - Smitten Kitten can always cut her enemies, either with her claws, teeth, or even a kick. Her damage grows stronger if she actually has a weapon to use.

Other: She likes the color orange and is very new to the game. Wants to defeat the Black King.

Also, how long does it normally take to get to level 9? I noticed that some characters already are at level 3 even though they're 13 years old too.
