Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

I really like RPs set in the tundra, but a tundra that has been altered somehow.

Jay Tomers

Location: Parking Lot -> Jay’s Apartment -> Parking Lot(again)
Interacting With:Clarissa Price@GoddessSophia, Skye Woodsen(Mentioned], Sam Krios(mentioned) @MiddleEarthRoze , and Amelia Johnston

After Skye had shown up, there was a brief conversation about how Skye’s personality as well as his “perfectly-rounded” ass was something that would be rather difficult for a shape-shifter to copy, even if said shape-shifter was the best of any other like it. Jay just couldn’t help but notice the annoyance and nigh-anger that Clarissa expressed on her face. Obviously hearing - and seeing - Sam and Skye exchange comments filled her with such annoyance that Jay noticed that she was probably about to whack him or something.

As Sam suggested that they use his car, Jay couldn’t help but feel a bit angry and disappointed that they wouldn’t be taking his car, it was, after all, his idea. This caused a narrow-eyed glare from Jay to Sam. However, Jay did have to admit that five people, PLUS their bags wouldn’t be able to fit into his little green sedan. A muscle car was definitely more ideal for that amount of people plus the bags.

Fine, then let’s meet back in an hour.” Jay said as he waved by to Sam, Amelia, and Skye and hugged Clarissa as he would head to his apartment.

Eventually, after five or so minutes of walking across the large parking lot, Jay had made it to his apartment. He had about fifty minutes to get ready. Even though they were only going to be gone for a night, two maximum, Jay probably had to pack a good amount of clothes. He had to at least pack two changes of clothes, a pair of swimming shorts/trunks, his shampoo and other cleaning products, and that was probably it.

Okay, now time to shower. Jay thought, walking over to his bathroom.

The next ten, fifteen minutes would be spent cleaning himself, bathing his body with the fragrance of his shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Eventually, Jay found himself done and he stepped out soaked in water as it dripped down his bare-naked body. To prevent any excess water from getting on his bathroom floor tiles, Jay started to dry himself off. First came his legs, which all he had to do was wrap the towel around it and rub up and down a few times. He did this for a minute and then did his sides, front, arms, and back. His hair would be last as he would dry each strand of hair until it was silky smooth, and most importantly, dry.

Alright, now to pack,” Jay made a mental note, going over to his dresser as he left the bathroom.

As he went through his clothes, Jay decided to bring a green T-shirt and a gray, long-sleeve shirt. For the shirt that he was going to wear on the way there, Jay simply chose a white T-shirt that had sleeves stopping at the elbows. He picked out a pair of royal blue cargo shorts to wear on the ride there and back would probably be the same colored-jeans(long). For shoes, Jay simply chose gray loafers. He also packed the necessary amount of socks as well as a green pair of swimming trunks in case the group - or Jay specifically - wanted to go swimming in the lake. Lastly, Jay got his arm deodorant and his body spray. All of that was packed into a green duffle bag.

Hm, alright, that seems to be it.” Jay said, pulling out his phone and going to Clarissa.

Hey, I’m all packed up - see you in a few. <3

After he pressed send, Jay hauled the bag over his shoulder and left his apartment. Locking the door behind him, Jay began walking to the parking lot. It would only take him ten minutes to get to it; though, he didn’t necessarily know what car was Sam’s. Perhaps he should have asked beforehand.

As Jay was outside and in the parking lot area, he pulled out his phone.

From: Jay

So, a little embarrassing here, but which car is Sam’s again? Amidst all of the excitement, I guess I forgot to ask haha.
— Jay

Jay had pressed send as he waited outside in the entrance to the parking lot from the direction of the apartments for one of two things to happen: Clarissa getting back to him or seeing any of the others arriving in the parking lot. Either way, it wouldn’t be that much longer - or at least, Jay hoped it wouldn’t be.

Meh, not really feeling it. 4/10

I know it's not been a week yet, but I'm in urgent need of a new picture. Using this stock, I'd like the text "Gone but never forgotten."

Please complete in your own time and don't feel the need to rush it.

Did you want that as an Avatar?

Now he's in The Rock. Now, what kind of music would fit this situation?

As far as what format I prefer, it really doesn't matter to me. What matters most to me is how I'm enjoying an RP. I really don't care if it's 1x1, group, or whatever you have it. I think the most important is that you're enjoying the story that you volenteered to co-write with xamount of people. If a group RP is your thing, then you're going to share the writer's credit with 2+ people at least; if a 1x1 rp is your thing, then you have 50% of the writer credit.

That's really how I feel about it. If I am enjoying myself, my preference of the number of people, type of rp it is(1x1 or group), genre, and setting takes a back seat to my enjoyment..

Regarding length and level, I tend to go for a high casual at the minimum. No offense to those who are free/mid-cas, but I just find the idea of anything less than HC useless for my own personal tastes. I like to immerse myself into a story/rp and I feel like I can't do that when it's 1-2-liners(free) or 1-2 paragraphs(Low to Mid-Casual) at the maximum. I need details like dialogue and the descriptive paragraphs that help set up said dialouge. I need that character interaction that helps establish these relationship and everything that will follow from that. Not to take a sexual pun, but I need the fucking D-etails man. I don't think I would get that with free/low to mid-cas. I do, however, know that High Casual and above will give me that, so that's why I prefer that level of length in rps.

When it comes to Face Claims, I used to be about anime because I was really about anime roleplays, but lately, I've been finding myself preferring real life faceclaimes as well as real life rps. I think when it comes down to it, my love for anime is diminishing moderately and the aspect of RL is coming in quick. With that being said, I will use anime/VG faceclaims if there is a rp that catches my eye that will call for such an image.

Genre-wise, I don't really have any one specific preference. There are times where I just want a simple, Slice of Life rp with not action or sci-fi elements or magic or anything of the sort. Sometimes a guy just wants to write about the trials and tribulations of daily life such as family drama, drama within the friend circles, relationships, shopping, hanging out with friends, worklife, and the like. I really don't see anything wrong with that.

However, there are other times where the time comes to activate my World-Saving Mode. What that means is that I will enter the state-of-mind that is craving for a bunch of spandex-wearing, cape-bearing, outrageous-asf, power-wielding, nigh-god superhero whose symbol represents hope or some shit like that. In other words, there will come a time where I must give up the aspect of life for saving the day from whatever the powers may be.

There can be other times where I enjoy the fuck out of some sci-fi shit. What this includes is, but not limited to: aliens, intergalactic travel, outer space politics, and technological breakthroughs that are several decades away. Yes, that's right, sometimes a guy just wants to be able to melt some poor sap's face off with a plasma grenade or crush him with such a powerful telekinetic force that it will blow his head off from sheer force. Or perhaps don some powerful blue-like energy that will send the poor fucker flying in the opposite direction. Hell, even some advanced rifles are enough to get my feathers flying.

In the end, I can go for any kind of genre as long as I'm in the mood for it. If the genre doesn't interest me, odds are you won't see me enter such a rp that houses the hypothetical genre.
As noted in the posts above, High School Rps can be great if you make them so.

I'm running one myself(originally someone else's, but they handed it down to me), and it's going strong. It's a Demigod/demigoddess roleplay set in an academy for them. It has all the familiar elements of a High School/College school rp, but my twist is that there's a kidnapping plot.

My point for mentioning this is simply that, as it was already pointed out, if you can add a nice little twist in the school rp that you're doing, then you can make it so much fun for not only yourself, but for your players as well. Of course, if the Slice of Life scene isn't your cup of tea, then obviously you're going to have a problem with any school rp, regardless if it's high school, college, or Slice of Life in general.
