Jake is "in" the right corridor with the rest of the team. He's just planning to stop half way down it in case the Cruxi from the middle corridor figure out they went down that one and decide to get behind them. He's going to go prone and keep them pinned at least so Katya and Serah can focus on Logic Gate and, if necessary, Neo Angel if she commits to her attack.

Dudes who set up RP universes that are heavy in racism, sexism, homophobia, etc all in the name of "being realistic hurr hurr hurr". Listen buddy, you just got done explaining how XYZ kingdom is run by some kind of undead cabal and how half the population is capable of either telepathy or flinging fireballs. You'd think you would have enough imagination to let your players play a brown gay guy or a legit warrior chick without heaping things against them unnecessarily.

Buddy, if you can't abandon all the -isms long enough to allow characters representing marginalized peoples in positions of power you need to take a good hard look at yourself.

Hate is everywhere, and excluding it from a story to be inclusive is stupid. If the author wants a specific culture to be something-ist, then that's their choice and adds to the complexity of the world. Racism can be down to the base form of humans don't like elves, homophobia can come down to 'Oh god I don't want to be of someone with the same gender, please go away' and sexism could just as well be woman-on-men as men-on-woman, or a third option to both.

Plus, playing a character who's universally hated in such a world can enrich the character as they struggle to find their place, and maybe even doubt themselves before coming to the conclusion they are who they are.

@Ariamis Noted, and I will hold off on posting it for just a while longer. Shouldn't be in as much of a rush as I am to get this done.

@Dragoknighte Is that suggesting I make a sniper frame, or just remove my close-range functionality? Artillery is essentially a slower, louder, and flashier form of sniper.

I think he meant it more as 'There's nothing wrong with being extremely slanted towards long range as opposed to short range,' and he's not wrong. Most of the combat is done 2 tiles away.

Raising slight concern to the running trend of multiple types of ammunition. It's needlessly detailed and takes away some specialization to the point where you start asking why they don't just equip every frame with every ammunition type.

EDIT: In talking it over with Ariamis, I'd prefer it if all those different functions for the weapon took up the secondary slot. It's just way too much utility for one gun.

Well. Shit. Call me humbled. Did not expect this result, if I may be honest. I expected the majority vote to be 'No, but that can be changed.'

So, thanks guys. I should stop doubting myself.

However, for the four of you that didn't vote yes...

I'm sorry for those who aren't having fun and can't change this fact. I don't want to force you guys to stay here if you don't want to, so if you desire to leave I totally understand and wouldn't be upset at all. It's surprising to me you'd still stick around at all.

To those that I can change something about, though, would you mind sharing what can be changed about it? It doesn't have to be in public, either. It can be either through PMs, or for those that have it, my personal contact info. I want to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone.

And again, for those 6 that voted 'yes'... way to make me put my foot in my mouth. Guess that shows me that I need some confidence in myself.

Ace Academy - Ready!? Set!? Rumble! - High Casual

Every word from Gurevich's mouth made Rio want to go up to his GEAR and absolutely trash it, but the woman had enough self-restraint to refrain from such barbarics. The fact he even dared suggest their styles were complimentary was ludicrous- this reckless egghead didn't seem to think anything through. To add to that, he even insinuated that she is relunctant to engage in combat. Utter nonsense! Union was made to support everyone, of course she wouldn't get up close an personal. Unlike Gurevich, she wasn't intent on getting her GEAR disabled before the fight had properly started.

Rio sighed and ran a hand through her ponytail, twirling around with the soft hair a little bit. While she'd been pretty hung up on Gurevich's words, Atlas also brought up another thing. To go back to grab a bite and discuss it further, as well as counting on Rio to help him formulate battle strategy. She kept learning just how naïve, trusting and idealistic Atlas was... but maybe that's for the best. The team was already looking mismatched, so a little bit of optimism couldn't hurt. Even if Gurevich made it hard to keep said optimism rolling.

"I suppose I owe you that much, Atlas, after all these theatrics. It's not such a bad idea, anyway."

Now here's to hoping that Gurevich didn't tag along. Somehow, though, Rio had the feeling he would.

I have to say I can't believe Ethel couldn't figure out that I was truing to tell her to watch me. How could she not sense something was not off when I told her to leave? I displayed multiple times I wanted to be with her so me suddenly telling her to leave should have been a tip off rather then a trigger

Ethel isn't a rational person. She's an angry, spoiled child who thinks she's the hottest thing around. In her mind, a simple text message like that comes across as Angelo bragging that he'll do it himself rather than wanting her to watch his back, especially if she's still fuming over him telling her off.
