Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

Ranius was circling around in the air, it's pilot whistling away in the cocpit. He'd temporarily left control of only a single hand as he rummaged around the cockpit for his lost alcohol, finding it after a bit of fiddling. Outsiders were treated to the strange sight of a metallic bird unsteadily rocking left to right as Devors was paying 0 attention to his steering, at least not until he'd taken a heavy swig of his bottle. He checked his monitors, taking note of everywhere the enemy was located. Maybe it was the alcohol, but Devors wasn't phased in the slightest when he saw the entire front side had been blocked off by Cruxi.

"Eyy, Elise, compadre, buddy... I know you want me to flank and all, but I'm gunna fly 'round the outside a bit more. That sniper's gon' fry me if I rush in now."

And so Devors did, drinking more alcohol as Ranius did a little loop. He kept his one eye on the screen, looking to see if any Cruxi might be trying to take a shot. In a move that's as mad as it is brilliant, he was keeping the bottle aimed just above the button for his shields so he could drop the thing at a moment's notice to guard from an incoming shot. It's also mad, because the liquid would probably mess up his controls if he misaimed it even slightly.
Serah was upset at the loss of her barrier wing, but is glad to see it having been put to good use. They couldn't take very much punishment, but their utility has proven key to survival. She watched the Cruxi she'd cut in half fall down and die, completely apathetic to the sight. It was almost scary how little she felt killing these guys- but they had it coming anyway. Even remembering now all that they did to her, her friends and her family... it angered Serah. Still, she couldn't let her anger cloud her judgement- something she's grimly reminded of once a certain voice danced around in her head.

"Elora? Elora!"

As if on instinct, Serah frantically shouted out her friend's name before realizing she wasn't anywhere near here. Taking a breath to calm herself, Serah listened to Jake, Mai and Katya. The bickering among the squad wasn't going to amount to much good, and as much as Serah wanted to interject, she kept herself calm. Fighting now wasn't going to lead to anything... Katya had the command here. She'd bring this mission to a good end, hopefully. She had to... Serah has to survive. No matter what. She has someone waiting for her, fighting outside...

Serah slapped herself out of her daydreaming and focused again, taking note of the current situation. Katya was dishing out orders, to which Serah didn't find many problems with... well, except for one little bit.

"Um, commander... requesting permission to use extraction spheres on Logic Gate when presented the opportunity. I... don't think Elora would want to lose her friend, even in that state."

Serah's compassion to the framewerks was creeping up again, and possibly getting in the way. She couldn't help it, though. Atty was the only friend she had for a long while, ever since she was forced from the orphanage... forced to say goodbye to her best friend at the time. Atty was what kept her going in dark times, and is part of why she's still going now. It must be the same for Elora... right?

Serah chased after the rest of her squad, but kept at the back of the party. In case there were units still coming in from behind them, Atty and it's remaining wing could cover their backs.

"H-Huh?"

Genta was dumbstruck when Andre flat-out rejected his request to teach him, falling to his knees in despair. The earth dorm clutched up his fist, golden locks falling in front of his eyes. After a few seconds of self-pity, his open mouth closed and his eyebrows tightened downwards, the boy picking himself up from the floor and looking at Andre with determination. Andre himself had just gotten done picking up the Allure of Darkness from the unconscious dark dorm student. When Andre turned around and walked past Genta, the earth dorm turned as well.

"Well, then I won't back down!"

The earth dorm student, who'm had been a meek and cowardly mouse up until now, yelled this with steadfast determination. If Andre turned his head, he could see the boy swallowing his saliva and a droplet of sweat starting to trickle down his cheek.

"I don't care if you're as rough as broken glass, or you're only slightly older! You're the best duelist I've seen in the academy! I'm not going to let this chance slip me by! Even if you refuse and leave, I'll follow you!"

After staggering a bit from shouting so much, Genta regained his composure. His expression shifted from a determined stare to the meek mouse he'd been before.
Standing up, Joshua could see just how much taller he was that Cream- she barely reached chest height! Still, she didn't look the least bit phased as the boy began his own proposal. Cream's expression turned from amusement to a neutral boredom, as did her body language. She pulled one arm over her chest and let the other support on it, allowing her to rest her head in the palm of her hand. Her now half-closed eyes scanned Joshua up and down, as if evaluating him.

"...Really now. A duel. Originality galore!"

She sighed and used her supporting arm to pull out her hot-pink D-Ceiver, furiously typing away on the thing while her other arm just fell to her side. Curiously, her head remained tilted.

"I mean, I could duel ya right this moment buuut... 's a bit boring, don'tcha think? Hey, I got an idea!"

Her eyes brightened up as she showed Joshua her D-Ceiver, showing a small poll. There wasn't a question, but there were three choices: Spicy, Sweet and Salty.

"Pick a flavor! Once ya do, I'll see ya back here in like... Iunno, thirty minutes? I'll duel ya differently based on yer choice. Cool idea, huh?"
Lite was terrified. The box was violently shaking underneath Maisy's knee, and not even because the former wind-dorm student was trying to pull free. The shaking was entirely out of the fear-induced shivering Lite was performing. Sweat drops formed on his forehead as his deck was flashed in front of him, and all that kept him from screaming were Maisy's threats.

"Oh, I botched it up, oh man... I didn't sign up for this, oh please someone help me...!"

Lite was mumbling and closed his eyes, honestly expecting her to have already sent the picture and his entire dorm knocking on the door to laugh at him. Luckily for the dark dorm student, his saving grace was on the opposite end of the room. When Nathan had come down to squat next to the bed the nerves were starting to calm down ever so slightly. That's not to say he wasn't still terrified, as the box shook ever so violently.

"H-Honest, I wasn't up to anything b-bad! E-Exec just wanted me to scout this guy's room and look at his deck, see what cards he h-had! I swear, I wasn't going to steal them! I-I couldn't even find the cards! P-Please let me go, I don't want to get beat up agaaaain...!"

The boy was blubbering now, about to break down crying. Maisy really cut deep with her interrogation there.
Meio was about to jump back into the pool right as Camryn addressed him. The boy tried to stop his momentum as he was already preparing for the jump, but all that did was cause him to stumble right in and make a huge splash, covering the poor girl again. The water bubbled for a bit before Meio arose again, gasping for air. He shook the water out of his eyes and looked up to Camryn, a tad annoyed.

"H-Hey, what gives?! Don't scare me like that..."

The boy grabbed onto the pool's edge and climbed out, shaking his head so the water didn't drop out of his hair and into his eyes. He turned back to face Camryn, still having a slightly annoyed expression. When he got a good look at her though, his face twisted into a confident grin. Meio's fist rose up from next to him and proudly smashed against his chest.

"Yeah, I'm Meio! Gwahaha, I must have quite the reputation for the ladies to come and search me out all on their own!"

At that moment, it almost looked like the spiky-haired boy's nose grew a bit longer. After that little display of confidence, his expression mellowed out a bit as he lowered his head to look Camryn straight into the eyes.

"What'cha need? For you, I'll gladly be of service!"

Best to reel this fish in while it's not resisting...
Ethel's fury was still going strong when Angelo had sent her his message, and the effect he was going for with it was more than likely lost on her as she checked it. The only thing she got from his short message was more anger, figuring this jerk was telling her that she just sit back and watch him solve this mystery all on his own. Who did he think he was, Yugi Muto? Or no, better yet, Yuya Sakaki. A showboat who tried to impress people, only he didn't have any of the talent. Well, she wasn't going to ask for this braggart's help ever again! If he thought he was so much better than her at this, then let him think that. She'll figure it out on her own...

Meanwhile, Angelo didn't find any difficulty to get on the track. Strangely nobody was using it at this time, even though the thing would be filled with people trying to practice their steering at this hour. Angelo received some strange looks as he got onto the track and started to drive around. For a while, the only sound he could hear was his own engine's soft humming as he drove around. Then, in the distance, the roaring of another engine could be faintly heard. Before Angelo had any time to react, a road of light suddenly appeared in front of him that extended to the sky. Even though he tried to avoid it, his Duel Runner suddenly switched to Autopilot and forcibly took control away from Angelo, driving straight up the road.

To Angelo's left was the source of the distant engine. A long, purple runner had been revving up it's engines in the middle of the spectator area and launched itself from in between the audience seats, creating a bit of property damage. It landed on the road next to Angel as both runners drove up to the finish line, coming to a halt right in front of it. Behind Angelo, the road leading down had vanished. Surrounding him was a black-and-green dome, signifying the activation of a certain newly developed Speed World. The figure on the runner next to him was familiar- after all, he'd been searching for it not too long ago.

"Oh but you are such an obedient little puppy, it's adorable~!" a mocking, female voice spoke. Their gloved hand came up to their helmet, covering it's lower part as if it were a mouth while a giggle escaped the figure.

"Hey, it's me... the one you're looking for! I didn't quite expect the pieces to fall together quite this nicely, but while we're here... why don't we treat ourselves to a little turbo duel?"

Angelo had little choice, being up high in the air with little room for escape. Dismounting the runner and grabbing the woman would be equally futile, as she could just drive away.
Got enough people to justify a post, so I'll get started on that on Saturday.
Alright well I'll try to pot tomorrow.

Sarah is Vietmike's character. Hamasaki Rio is mine.
Actually I've been busy with finals. They just ended so I'm free but I'm pretty much posting off of you boss

Yeah, don't worry. I just wanted more than one plot thread to be able to continue in the post. Andre's duel was an exception since it's more of an extension to the post rather than a separate GM thing (and duels take a lot of space as-is).

You know, having just seen the death of Soul R, it's got me pretty worried. People are showing some similar behaviour over here, and I don't know how to feel about that. I'm doing my best with the RP and I'd love to believe you all, but there's just one tiny problem.

I don't believe you all when you say you're still interested and having fun.

It's taking days between posts, admittedly something I am also guilty of. I'd love to believe you're all just busy, but sometimes I get the feeling you guys are just saying that to spare my feelings. I want to keep this going, but not at the cost of you guys' fun.

So, I've made a small poll. I don't want a direct reply to this post. I don't want to know if you have voted or not. I just want an honest answer on the poll. Honest, and anonymous. I want to know what you guys think, but not publically.

strawpoll.me/12915598

I'm not going to look at the results until the 14th of May, a week after I've posted this. I think that's more than enough time for everyone to have gotten a vote in.
I've decided I want to drop this game anyways. It feels like I'm mostly pushing people to post which is not a thing I want to do- especially because it creates poor quality posts.

Fuck, now I'm back to being the only YGO RP host on the block.

Back to scouring the internet for references...

Rio had the urge to groan when she heard Kiril's hoarse voice in the distance, wanting to chuck the nearest thing she could grab at his head. That condescending tone of his accompanied by that know-it-all attitude, despite him being a foreigner, really got on her nerves. What the heck did he know about 'perfection'? And how could you have a 'great picture' from just one battle? To her, it seemed like he was acting like he knew more than he did. That, right there, is annoying to no end.

"Oh, yes. Let's all follow your example, Gurevich, because charging in head-on and getting your leg disabled was such a splendid display of tactics."

Perhaps it was a bit meanspirited, but Rio really didn't feel like dealing with someone who thinks they've got it all, despite the hypocrisy it creates. Truly Sara was the only sane one in the room- and she's not just saying that because they're the only other female in the team.

"Anyway, Atlas... we're not going to be getting any relevant spot on the board with that performance, high level AI or not. Sure, we didn't lose anyone. That's not enough to qualify. The only reason we won is because the AI had just as little teamwork as we do- something our fellow students won't lack. I've been proven wrong, though."
