Where do I begin. I'm from Belarus, and fairly proud of it. I've been RPing about a decade starting mostly with chat stuff and some LARPs/reenactments, doing the stuff of this site for maybe half a decade now. I'm a former serviceman, and while I was conscripted I make sure to stay in related circles. As a day job I'm a programmer letting me usually work from home even when we don't have coronavirus forcing us to do so and thus I got a lot of time for RP.

@The Harbinger of Ferocity I don't think anyone is arguing that North Korea is a bigger threat than the Soviet Union. People are arguing that Kim Jong Un is less stable of a ruler than most Sovier Rulers, and is far more likely to do something drastic.
He's more or less just as stable as the guy who was the first to spread the red plague, the guy who wanted to make soldiers fuck apes and vice versa to make super soldiers, or (a personal favourite) the guy who smashed his shoe on a table at a conference telling people what would be translated to showing the West "Kuzma's mother" (though the joke/metaphor would be hard to understand without speaking Russian or Ukrainian/Belarusian like Kruschev) and many more shenanigans of Soviet leaders.

Speaking of Eisenhower, it's perhaps fortunate that Patton died when he did. The mad bastard wanted us to go after the Russians after V-E Day. On the topic of nuclear weapons, I highly doubt that such a thing will happen in our lifetimes. No-one quite wants to go down in history as the great destroyer. The language used by North Korea is showboating, nothing more.

You're right, this shit phone screws with me. I'd be obliged if a mod would delete that post and this.
You know I wonder of my Belarus's fate in case of a nuclear war. We have no reason to be nuked beyond the mere fact of our being a country, and probably won't notice a little fallout anyway. Plus the Russians, Poles, Ukrainians, Lithuanians and all else in the neighbourhood got it coming to it anyway.
