I'd be more inclined to be forgiving towards the new movies if the people making them didn't have a habit of jumping onto social media to attack their own customers. There's only so many times you can hear your own concerns dismissed as "whiny man-babies" or accused of being racist/sexist/etc before you stop separating the art from the artist.

Yeah. As much as I've been enjoying Doomsday Clock, I'm at the point where I'm ready for Dr. Manhattan to actually show up so Superman can bop him on the head or get rid of him with the Final Crisis Wish-Machine or whatever they end up doing.
And no, I don't know why Bruce just up and decided to put on a helmet in the vacuum of space when he, Robin, and Arthur should already be dead either.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. There haven't been any new Star Wars movies since 1983.
@AndyC In all honesty, I don't jump aboard the hate train for a lot of comic book movies. I can enjoy them, but I don't hate them.
The only one that annoyed me the most was Flash in Justice League, but a minor retcon of calling him Wally West and it would have been a lot better in my opinion. Barry was always the more serious of the two, and I think they just mashed Barry and Wally together for sake of needing some comedic relief in the movie.
I mean there are some comic book films I've not seen, which are the ones that garner the most hate. Out of the ones I've seen, not a single one hated.
I used to get a lot more worked-up about movies, but I ultimately got worn out on it. A good roast is fun every once in a while, but keeping up a constant attitude of righteous indignation or repetition of easy memes gets tiring, not to mention boring-- especially when you're on the receiving end of it. I started to really hate going to fan groups or forums where I knew every other thread would end up becoming a big dog-pile on whatever thing was the punching bag of the week, to the point where I left the Hype forums and its Facebook group entirely. It just stops being fun.
I still get a bug in my craw when it comes to the comics themselves, but that has more to do with the fact that the comic book industry is dying and desperately needs a return to first principles instead of gimmicky events or overt political agendas that aren't connecting with the public.

Yes, what hell it is having two different incarnations of a character that I enjoy very much, and a third that was pretty boring but was only in one movie so is easy enough to overlook.

You youngsters are lucky. Growing up in the 90s, I can't associate that song with George Michael. I can only hear Limp Bizkit.....*shudders*.....
