My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Alright peeps, finally made a post.

Blasting Keith with Hyourangeki, Shizuka questioned the hired killer's instincts. Attempting to block such a blast that sprayed multiple icy spears in that way would due little to mitigate the damage, especially at such close range. However, as soon as the thought crossed his mind he saw that having his flesh pierced and frozen did very little to affect North. He immediately closed the distance between them and attempted to strike the ronin down, which he seemed to have been successful in doing. Slashed across his jugular, Shizuka appeared to have been knocked off his feet with blood pouring out of the inflicted wound. However, what happened after almost without delay would catch even the most seasoned veteran off guard. Keith would find that a blade was ran straight through his heart.

"Eseryu. The dragon sheds its skin and is born anew. You cannot always trust your eyes; It is unfortunate that you had to learn this lesson in death. Keep it with you in the afterlife." Said Shizuka, as his afterimage dissipated.

Much to the swordsman's surprise, Keith quickly grabbed the blade protruding from his chest and kicked the swordsman away. Landing again on his feet, Shizuka looked on with perplexion as Keith pulled the sword out of him. In addition, the wound had healed almost instantly just as the ones from Hyourangeki did. Some sort of advanced regeneration spell perhaps? A very powerful one if so. Though now at a disadvantage, Shizuka's composure did not break as Keith taunted him.

Based on what he's seen so far, the mercenary seemed to rely on grit tempered through experience and his strange healing ability rather than strategic thinking. He could use that to his advantage, he thought. It was still risky, as the man could still have more tricks up his sleeve. Shizuka immediately thought of a plan and prepared to spring it into action.

Utilizing Shinsoku, Shizuka began making afterimages that appeared to be teleporting in the surrounding vicinity. That ran circles around Keith, some even phasing in the sky above him. The two clones creating by Lili were indistinguishable among all of the speed generated ones, and soon Keith would find Shizuka instantly on him. Thinking he wouldn't fall for the same trick twice, the one charging at him was indeed the real Shizuka. His plan was to approach Keith with a feint, then imbue his sheath with wind magic to knock his sword out of the merc's hand and reclaim it. Then, while the magic clones kept him at bay he would help Lili quickly mop up the other bandits and make an escape.

At this point in time, Shizuka realized he didn't have an effective way of dealing with Keith's healing abilities to be able to deal a decisive blow. A tactical retreat, he felt, would be best for now.

Terauchi Temple

Having made their way back to the temple with Skarsneek, the sisters had seen that some of the other members of the taskforce had also returned for the evening. Sam appeared to have been resting in a tree for a while, which she supposed he still needed to recover from that night. They along with the goblin, however, were surprised to see the signs of a skirmish on the temple grounds. Atsuha also made note of the fact that Shizuka was strangely absent. She noticed Takeshi had stared at her for a moment.

"Evening, Takeshi-dono, you and Luna-chan seem to have gotten a bit banged up on your quest today. Thankfully, it doesn't seem as bad as it was on the beach!" She said. "I also hope that everything's fine with Shizuka=san, I thought he'd be hear to meet with everyone. I imagine he's out on another mission?" She inquired.

The sisters took notice of a new member of the taskforce present, a cute little Oni girl.

"Hmm. Yuki-chan, was it? My name is Hangai Atsuha, and this is my younger sister Hangai Hinami. I'm a Jorogumo and she's a Jiangshi, and together we run a paranormal investigation agency of sorts. It's a pleasure to meet you." Atsuha said. Hinami politely bowed as the introductions were given. Hinami then proceed away from the scene without saying a word, heading toward the inside of one of the pagodas. Atsuha tried to get her attention, but Hinami ignored her. She quickly turned to the others. "My apologies, if you will excuse me..." She said, attempting to hide her anxiety.

Catching up with Hinami, she stopped her just before she went inside. "Hinami! What's gotten into you? You've been acting odd since earlier this afternoon."

"I'm fine." Hinami quickly snapped at her.

"Nee-chan, you've never been so distant before. We're sisters and there's no reason why you can't tell me what's wrong." Atsuha said as she reach a hand out to Hinami. The latter, however, quickly snapped it away. Her expression now filled with frustration.

"Then why can't you be honest and open with me?! Why not tell me the truth about that night? About how I killed all those men!" She exclaimed. "I'm never seem to be aware of it when it actually happens, but I can taste the blood and chi of those that I've killed. All I remember from that night is lying in Luna-chan's arms, and then I think I blacked out." Tears began to stream down Hinami's eyes.

"Now I understand why you've always told me to never take off that talisman. It's because I'm really just a...just a murderous beast. With me around, the Shizuyaman people are just in their hatred of our kind." Hinami said, her word filled with grief, anger, and self-resentment.

"No you're not!" Quickly retorted the Jorogumo, immediately enveloping her sister in a tight embrace. "I won't allow you to say such horrible things about yourself. You just need to have more control over your base instincts. I promise very soon I'll find a way balance your soul so you don't have to worry about it anymore." She said as tear began to drip from her eyes as well.

"Nee-san, back then when you revived me, di-did I attack you as well?" Hinami asked.

"Hinami, it doesn't matter-"

"Just answer me." Hinami interrupted her sister.

"Yes." She answered.

"I see. So, I can't even stop myself from hurting the most important person in my life. I really am useless, aren't I? As I have always been. I'm just a burden to -"

Atsuha tightened her embrace to stop her sister midsentence.

"I told you to never say that about yourself. If you weren't the most important person to me, you'd think I would've broken taboo and performed a forbidden spell to bring you back? Like I said, we'll get through this together. Back then, you didn't hurt me. All that happened was that you were rightfully brought back into this world and I once again was with my little sister."

Skarsneek may have happened upon the scene of the sisters embracing during his search, perhaps even catching some of their conversation.
Sorry all for my lack of activity. Been very out of straights as of late, as I've been looking for new job opportunities - being frankly fed up with the current company I'm at right now. I'll try to post as soon as possible.

Occult Club Meeting

"All those crumbs on your face say otherwise, you dullard~" Mused Shu. He may have like to stuff his face every now and again, but at least he had decorum.

He responded with indifference towards the tanuki's insult. While he would like to beat her in a game of chance and rub her nose in it, he just wasn't in the mood.

The prez began listing off possible culprits of the case, which ended with her declaring they'd be going on a field trip of sorts to get testimonies from eye witness. "Fine by me, beats sitting around in this dusty room

Everyone, particularly Akari, voice their concerns in regards to dealing with ghosts. Obviously you can't punch ghosts... Although it's troublesome, someone like me would have no problems. I can utilize talisman magic with quite handily, Homura, so worry not." He said, flickering his hand.

"So Prez, shall we go ahead and get this invocation under way?
And now, there are three Kannazuki! Kannazukinis, if you will.

This definitely seemed like a personal duel, so I figured I'd have Liliana deal with the mooks.

Funny you'd cast that spell, seeing as how Shizuka can make copies of himself already lol
Imma add the Hangai Sisters a bit later

As they traveled through the skies, Shizuka could feel the effects ofvthe drug slowly wear off. Unfortunately, his relief was short lived, as he sensed that the Fatal Pulse was hot on their trail. He wasn't surprised that he was able to dodge his ice darts, not even mentioning the poor cow. At least the mist would make it hard for him to effectively retaliate.

Or so he thought.

Kannazuki and Lilliana were hit by a explosion of light, the brightness made him shield his eyes in addition to the high pitched ringing makingbhin grit his teeth. With his mist strategy foiled, the duo were sent tumbling to the ground. However, Shizuka made sure to gracefully maneuver to where he would land on his feet - also being sure to catch Lilliana if she was in danger of hitting the ground in a more severe manner.

They were again face-to-face with the Pulse; he taunted them with his twin blades drawn.

"Certainly quick on your feet, I'll give you that. Not too many people can catch me off guard. But, I'll be sure not to fall for your tactics this time." Said the ronin.

Shizuka was holding the hilt of his sword, but he didn't assume a stance of any kind. He did begin to channel his chi, however, as small rocks and pebbles rippled and were forced up from the ground around him. A blue aura along with a bit of crackling sparks formed around him, his hair flowing from the generated force.

"Lilliana-san, this man is a dangerous foe. I don't know what other tricks he has up his sleeve, but I'm going to cut right through him. I'd like for you to head back to the temple and report that we found here to Takeshi-dono, but if you'd rather stay here I won't stop you. You can cover me in case something goes awry, just don't get caught in the crossfire" He said to her, not taking his eyes off of the Pulse for even a moment.

"Well Keith, shall we begin?"

Both Keith and Lilliana would find thar Shizuka had completely vanished, leaving behind only a small cloud of dust where he was standing. He would then appear right at Keith's immediate side, his hand full of frozen energy. He'd strike at him with Hyorangeki, if he had a way to counter he'd use Eseryu. He would fool him into thinking he landed a successful hit, only to slash at him while his guard was down.

The light show from earlier made him weary of his abilities, but there was one other thing that weighed on Shizuka's mind...

How exactly did he know this guy's actual name anyway?

The swordsman watched as Lilliana let loose a stream of blades on the dock troops, letting out wails as they were drained of their chi. As he tried to tell Gringor from earlier, magic is a powerful force. Deciding that sabotaging their operation was enough for now they were about to make a retreat when --

Shizuka's thoughts were drowned completely out when a strong kick slammed into his face. That was the second time it happened while here on the mainland...

He along with his fairy teammate where sent flying into a nearby warehouse; their flinging was stopped by a couple of crates they crashed into. Shizuka got back to his feet as quickly as he could to meet their attacker, which of course turned out to be the Fatal Pulse himself. The fact that both he and Lilliana completely lost track of him and fell for a sneak attack further proves his suspicions were correct. However, the ronin would immediately feel a strange sensation rattling in his body.

Assaulted by the scent of smoke in ash, it seemed that the crate he crashed into contained the strange substance the soldiers were handling. Some type of strange drug, it seems that it's affects were beginning to take hold. Having already been in the process of gathering his chi for a counterattack, he would find his focus to be somewhat impaired. Trying his best to regain his senses, he began to implore breathing techniques in order to calm his nerves. Having been surrounded in the substance, however, it wouldn't be as effective. He needed to change the playing field. Another soldier appeared carrying a touch, which got quite the hostile reaction from the Fatal Pulse. It was clear that this odd powder needed to be kept away from heat sources, and the idiot just brought one right to it....

Luckily his companion was quick to react, channeling a magic circle she began to cast a spell of her own. Hopefully it was something that would knock back their opponent and turn the tides! Her spell of choice was...!

A cow.

While he wasn't in his most stable mind, even Shizuka was taken aback at the result of Lilliana's spell. Of all the things they may have needed at that moment in time, a cow was after even the last thing on his mind. He blinked for a bit, questioning if what he was witnessing was real or an effect of the drugs. Before he could ponder it further the fairy quickly carried him out of the warehouse as the bovine charged at their assailant.

Having gotten further away, Shizuka could feel at least a bit of his senses stabilizing, though he was still feeling riled up and anxious. Trying at least something to help, he fired ice shots at the Fatal Pulse's feet. By immobilizing him it'll hopefully assist the cow in trampling him . Of course if their foe or anyone else had a counter he'd prepare for that as well. If anyone tried to shoot them out of the sky he'd use his mist technique to obscure their view with illusions and then counter with some more spells of his own.

"Lilliana-san, ghh...I'll try to cover us as best I can. Just, try not to summon any more farm animals this time..." He managed to mutter out.

Outside the Inn

Having been subdued and bound, Atsuha's lover planned on interrogating their prisoner back at the temple. Something she wouldn't mind assisting with if she were allowed to do so. But, the next scene that followed would permanently close the door to that opportunity.

Unable to control her anger, Sorae immediately demanded answers from the woman as to who orchestrated her clan's massacre. As expected, their captive only gave cryptic statements with concerning implications for a response. This only sealed the woman's fate, as Sorae brought down her weapon and decapitated her. As her head rolled on ground in front of them blood squirted out of her neck. Hinami winced and turned her head away, Atsuha looked at Sorae with wide eyes and seemed at first she was going to yell at her. However, after hearing her statement she appeared to lost any words she may have had for her.

Atsuha no longer felt that she was in any position to be lecturing Sorae. Skarsneek witnessed the aftermath of the scene, and after slapping Sorae on the rear and scolding her he guided the sisters out of the inn. Apparently not wanting them to soak themselves in the gruesome atmosphere any more than necessary.

"Skras-kun! Wasn't that a bit much?" Hinami said.

"Nee-chan, Sorae's pain is understandable. However, Skars-kun is correct in his scolding. We have allies, myself included, who could've done something to get more answers out of her. But now, our search for answers is back to square one. For now, it's best we head back at meet up with the others." Atsuha replied

Will post either today or tomorrow, my weekend's coming up and thus more freetime!

In a side note, Shizuka certainly didn't imagine getting high on drugs while being carried by a fairy as how his night would go..

Occult Club Meeting

"Keep your comments to yourself, Ms. Funbags." Replied Shu to his senior club member. "I wasn't making that offer to you!" He said, rejecting her offer due te knowing better.

He's mood immediately perked up at Homura's offer of tea. "Yes please~ To say it'd go well with these cookies would be an understatement."

Shuichiro look at the scene of Tomoko fooling Akari with her double, but it defeats the amusement since the spider didn't really seem to mind. "Nice karakasa." He said.

Sigh. The prez decided to get down to business at that point, how droll...

Apparently there's an issue involving multiple cases of missing children, based on the info or rather lack thereof it was obvious that the kidnappings were yokai-related.

"Hmm. You know, I'm no saint and enjoy my fair share of pranks, but abducting kids is a bit much yeah?"

Before he could ponder the case further, his thoughts were interrupted by Hina, who decided to gobble up as many cookies as she could. Shu chuckled and shook his head. He then turned to the Tanuki.

"And you say that I'm a glutton..."
