Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I'm sorry, I've had a lot on my plate recently. I'll see about getting a post in soon.

Good to hear from you! I hope a lot on your plate is just code for busy, busy. Good vibes your way!
@Double@FalloutJack

Yeah, we were waiting on @Darkmoon Angel and @BladeSS4, but since your storyline is separate, either one of you could go next. I'll continue their storyline after one of them post again.
@Darkmoon Angel No huge rush or anything, but are you wanting to get a post out before we all start posting again? Or is Angela trying to blend in with the crowd for the moment?
@FalloutJack

A closer look at your previous post, and I think I get your concern. You just have more in store for your character's story arc than a few weeks game time would solve. That's perfectly legit. I'm fine with a returning story arc, as long as your characters participate with the main story arc when big, RP changing events happen.

I think we're all on the same page.
@FalloutJack@Double: I think you two both misunderstood what I was saying. I was only talking about skipping through whatever time your characters spend on the space ship, training under enhanced gravity, if they even want to do that.

Basically, you have three weeks (GAME TIME) till the big bad stops on Mars. That is plenty of time to do everything you're wanting to do. As a frame of reference, it took us nearly a year IRL just to get through two days at the World Martial Arts Tournament. If you were to skip a week or two for training on the space craft, that would still leave you with one or two weeks game time, to work through your plot however you want. That should be plenty of time.

Make sense now?
@FalloutJack@Double: So, there is information that I left out of my last post that you could use in your next post. The trip to Mars in this ship could take as little as two days, which gives the ship enough time to safely get up to speed and slow back down for a landing. BUT you could prolong the trip a little longer, at your leisure, if you want to get more out of the gravity training.

The big bad will be making a pit stop on Mars on their way to Earth in about three weeks from our current point in the time line. So as long as your characters are on Mars before then, you should be fine. If I were you, I would spend up to two weeks training under gravity. That would still leave you with a week for the quest your on, before the big bads arrive. It might even be cool if you wrap up the "Niko's Revenge" quest, and just as you're about to celebrate or return to Earth, that's when the big bads show up to rain on your parade.

@Darkmoon Angel@BladeSS4: On my next post for you two, I'll time skip to the end of his story, which will end with a Dragon Ball GT mention, thus making that anime cannon to this RP (or at least a variation of it). Then, we'll be off to the islands where you'll actually be training.

Mirai listened to Niko as he explained why he trusted Han, and she let Han speak his peace as well. Still, she looked very skeptical. Alas, she kept her thoughts to herself. She could tell that her old friend Niko was a man on a mission, and he'd already cleared this Han to join him on this mission. There was no changing his mind now, not without anything more to go on than a bad feeling.

"Fine," She answered after a long pause. "If that's how it's going to be, then I might be able to help. You see, I didn't ask you to come here at this hour just because I'm a night owl. If you really want to keep chasing down answers, you're going to need to go to the horses mouth. You're going to need a ride to Mars, to the headquarters of the Martian Mining Company. And I know you Niko, you'd rather go sooner than later. So I've cleared the use of one special spacecraft with Mr. Brief himself. A day time launch would require a lot more paperwork, but with his permission, he can talk to the board of directors himself and fill out paperwork after the fact. In any case, this is the ship you'll be taking, if you really want to go through with this thing..."

Mirai then pulled out a little remote out of her pocket. She pressed a red button, which triggered a rounded tarp behind her to start moving, as something underneath it came to life. The soft but powerful engine of the spacecraft then blew the tarp upward and to the side, revealing itself in dramatic fashion...

Mirai couldn't help but smiling a little at the sight, but quickly regained her serious demeanor before addressing Niko once again, "He said this craft is usually just used for training by him and his father, but it has been kept in great condition. That said, if you want to try some gravity assisted training on your way to Mars, feel free, but he suggests not going over two times Earth's gravity. I set it to 1.25 times gravity, just to give you a taste, and believe me, that might be more than enough... Crazy thing though... before I turned it on, it was set to 50 times Earth's gravity... Had to have been some kind of mistake..."

She then shook the thought away, looking into Niko's eyes in all seriousness and holding out the remote. "So what will it be?"

Krillin's story, which was a long one indeed, was on to planet called Namek, after defending Earth from two alien invaders who killed many of his friends. He and his friends were after legendary objects called Dragon Balls, items that kids all over the world had heard about only in bedtime stories. Yet, according to this old man, they were real, perhaps even still are. Unfortunately, they weren't the only ones after these Dragon Balls...

Krillin was so engrossed in telling his tale that he didn't notice Bakuto in the crowd as he picked up a small rock. In fact, he didn't see the rock until the last second, as it emerged from the crowd. He stopped speaking mid sentence and closed his eyes. The rock hit him square in the forehead, and he sighed an exasperated sigh, clearly unharmed but quite annoyed.

He then opened his eyes and asked, "Okay, which one of you kids did that? That was very rude."

Without saying anything, everyone who stood near Bakuto took one obvious step away from him. Krillin noticed the movement in the crowd, even though he was still shorter than most of them. To get a better view, he jumped up onto his staff, balancing on top of it with ease. From this elevated position, he could make out Bakuto's face.

"You there. I want you to do pushups until I'm done with my story. Maybe that will keep you busy if you're bored. Also, what's your name?"
So, I've obviously not got a post up yet. It's been a busy weekend. At least this gives @Darkmoon Angel a little more time to post if Angela wants to comment on what's happening. But if I do end up posting first, that will be fine. I might need another couple days though.
@Balthazar007 One second. I thought I saw a thing which counted the winnings and Niko didn't have any. If that's wrong, I'll just edit that.

EDIT: I couldn't find the line that mentioned the actual winnings right now, so I'm just going with what you said, and now there's an extra paragraph dedicated to Niko being surprised at how wrong he was.

Awesome. Yeah, if I'm just imagining things and I didn't mention prize money, let's just pretend I did. LOL I meant to at least. And I like how you fixed it by adding a single paragraph and changing nothing else. Well done.
