I like cloudy days. A young man wearing a high school uniform walks down a suburban street in Tokyo. A veil of grey and ash hang overhead, painting the city in monochromatic tones. The young man adjusts his headphones; lightly audible noise leaks into the world beyond its scope. I like the silence. The stillness of it. Life, itself, marching to a different tune... The streets are quieter than usual. He soon passes a group of people unnoticed. Minding their own business, they are oblivious to him. There is an unseen perspective only appreciable on days like this. Not long after, he finds himself in a dark alley, devoid of any other presence.

The soliloquy of one who walks gently...

He removes something from his back pocket and stares at it in his hand. A bronze, hexagonal badge, just slightly smaller than one's palm. It is inscribed with the initials 'B.B.' in bold letters and, underneath that, are the etchings of two crossed brooms. The young man delicately tosses the badge onto the ground then lifts his head toward the sky. Two crimson Shoji-screen doors float horizontally in the air above him. As each door slides open simultaneously, the young man is forcibly pulled upward, along with the badge on the ground.

He is plunged into a dark, upside down ocean that seems to stretch to infinite proportions. There is no panic in his eyes or behavior; he seems perfectly calm as if he has experienced this sensation many times over. This experience lasts for less than a minute before the boy is pulled through to the other side. Standing upright, he finds himself in Other-Tokyo—land of the unseen.

Along with a populace of seemingly normal people, strange creatures of varying sizes known simply as Daemons walk among the familiar-looking streets. One behemoth of a Daemon with dark fur and metal pylons sticking out of its back is being fed by a pair of individuals in black uniforms. It shows its contentment by letting out a spark of electricity from its protrusions.

But that's enough sightseeing for now, the young man has business to attend to. Sometime later, the young man arrives at the entrance of Black Babel: the organization of the Witches. He's now dressed in the same black uniform as was seen earlier. He, himself, is a Witch of this institute. "Ahh, you're such a glutton! I told you the next feeding time is in an hour. Do you realize how long it takes to prepare that much food?!" another young man in the same outfit chastises a colossal-class Daemon with long, thin metal teeth in the shape of a gate. "Hmm," he looks behind him, "oh Yuta, it's you. Preparing for tonight?"

"Yeah. I have to meet up with the rest of my squad." Yuta tells the gatekeeper.

"Good luck with all of that and, uhh, try not to get yourself killed, huh? Okay, stop pouting and open up!" the gatekeeper tells the gargantuan Daemon who swiftly complies. Its teeth retract into its skull, opening up passage for the young Witch. As Yuta enters, he pets the side of the Daemon's presumable mouth. "Good boy." Upon entry, Yuta is greeted by the sight of a huge plaza filled with Witches in uniform either walking or flying in the sky with brooms. 'Welcome to Black Babel' says a digital screen on a nearby wall that strangely has two eyestalks jutting out of its sides.

@TheWendil Have Kiara report it to student resources. They'll send her to a department specializing in fixing tomes. Tomes are made from materials that are reactive to mana so once it has been fixed, Kiara would use her mana to recover her spells. Magic ink ftw. However, her spells will take a hit in potency as she adjusts to the newly fixed tome.
Nyx's lessons in the two weeks include:

For Magic users: mana shaping for spells, general elemental magic basics, stamina training to control mana usage.

For Might users: intensive physical training (weights, obstacle courses), meditation for mana flow.

In general: Nyx specializes in mana control so training that helps with that. Plus some general history of the origins of magic and mana.
Yes, they started the second week, so a week before the current day.

EDIT: @Relin If you want to mention anything about the Cooking Club, Lanza has kept his promise and is now a junior member of the club. He also bought new equipment for the club.
Ah whoops.

Yeah, removed that little debuff then.

Nice, accepted~

I'll have the IC up later in the day, everyone.
That looks both Nifty… and Shifty.

I work with what I can find lol

How much time has passed since our first day?

Two weeks and 1 day.

Nyx had been stuck all morning attending a rather dry and tedious faculty meeting. Discussions about weekly student performances, minor edits to the curriculum layout, professors' specific lesson plans, blah, blah, blah. Nyx yawned in his seat; his eyes wet with boredom. Some of the other twenty-four professors in the room glare at their fresh-faced colleague. His behavior is certainly unbecoming of a professor belonging to such an esteemed institution. Some knew better to just ignore it. Headmaster Augustine—once again appearing as an old man due to the time of day—begins to speak.

"Last night, we received a report concerning the theft of a magical artifact from our very own archives underneath the academy library. The scoundrels responsible for the crime are known magic users. Fortunately, we know the general area in which they have absconded to. The city guards have already been sent to set up a perimeter. We'll send in the Miracle Seven to locate the thieves and retrieve the artifact. Rest assured, none of the library staff were harmed in the incident."

Nyx perks up after hearing the report. This could be a prime opportunity to give his students some real world experience in what they can expect if they decide to pursue the life of an adventurer after graduation. Not to mention it'd be great for Nyx- or, rather, his students to have some time away from academy grounds. It already has been two long weeks since the start of the semester after all. "The Miracle Seven? For some lousy thieves? Nonsense. I propose that my class be allowed to handle this matter. Class-C has been viewed as a joke for a good decade now, I say that my students be given every opportunity to disprove that." Nyx explains.

"With all due respect Professor Nyx, what you're asking for is extremely dangerous. We're not talking about supervised sparring sessions on campus. If your students confront these thieves and it results in violence, well... I believe it would be a matter of life-or-death." Professor Charlotte of Class Marigold speaks out against the idea.

"Good. Motivation to perform. Besides, I'll be there to supervise them and make sure they don't get themselves killed. You wanted the Miracle Seven? You have it. The former Second Seat. That should assuage your fears."

"I like Nyx's bravado. I say let him and Class-C take care of this. What's meant to be will be." Professor Uejima of Class Sakura chimes in with support. The rest of the present professors are indifferent on the matter. They have their own classes to worry about rather than interfere with the business of the infamous Class-C.

Headmaster Augustine strokes his beard as he contemplates the proposal. After a brief moment of silence, he finally responds. "Very well."

A day later...

Nyx had instructed the class to meet him at Genelogia Station for the mission. He told them to pack the bare essentials, seeing as how they would be staying at a local village for the duration of their trip. Their destination is a forest region on the outskirts of the city. Despite the close proximity between Genelogia and the local village, interaction between the two settlements were kept to a minimum. Nyx studies the wanted posters of the two thieves responsible for the crime. A pair of twins known simply as Sice and Pictor. It seems they have eluded capture before in another city.

Unfortunately for the pair, Genelogia's city guards were fast in their response, cordoning off all possible routes of escape from the area they're currently hiding in. Class-C just needs to fish them out. As usual, the Genelogia Station is a busy place. Housed in a grand three-story building, the station has three trains operating at any one time. Class-C is bound for the 'A' train that leaves in about an hour. Luckily for Nyx, the tickets has been paid for by the academy. In addition, Nyx has received a hefty fare for any expenses relating to the trip.
Alright sounds good. I'll have it up in a bit.
@Rune_Alchemist Sorry I was busy yesterday and didn't even have time to check the site. I'm glad to see you managed to write something you're satisfied with.

So the only issue I have is for the Sinful Garden charm is that it includes a debuff effect for vampires. Charms are only healing/buffs and that would be a Curse effect. So if you can remove that part and, if you want, move it to Curses, then everything will else will be fine.
