Personality: Mirembe is generally a quiet girl. She isn't used to the world outside of her home country of Wakanda, and this affects the way in which she acts around the world. She is shy towards those she doesn't know, and since she doesn't know much about life in the US, she tends to be gullible, easily falling for what others say.
Once you get past her barriers and become her friend, she will prove to be a very loyal one, hardly ever turning back on her friends, and helping them out whenever she can. Generally, she can be very agreeable, and this helps her in being able to help out everyone else. Since she grew up in Wakanda, she has learned to keep a level head, appearing calm when presented with a tough situation.

How did you discover your powers: Mirembe was practicing her fighting skills, when the person she was sparring started trying to cheat, and no one else in the group noticed. She was 13 years old, and when the kid swept her legs out from underneath her, she screamed. The kid got sent flying backwards, eventually hitting the wall behind them.
General History: Mirembe had a very easy going childhood. Having grown up in one of the most technologically advanced countries on Earth, she learned much about the way technology worked. Her parents were kind people, and her father was a member of the Wakandan military forces, and worked under T'Chaka, and later his son T'Challa in order to protect the country from outer forces. She had two older brothers, but she never really talked to them outside of their own home, especially after they moved out.
She wanted to be a fighter, like her father, and worked hard, though a lot of people told her not to. Mirembe always was more of someone who could easily mess with technology, and they told her to stick with computers. Of course, she never listened, and kept sparring with others anyway. Even though she fought, and even though she lost most of the time, that never stopped her. She always wanted to be a fighter, and nothing was going to get in the way of that.
At least, that is what she thought, until she was 13 years old, and her mutant ability revealed itself. Many people believed that for one, it was caused by the vibranium meteor, and secondly that she was becoming one of the "demon spirits" and would turn on the rest of Wakanda. There was a mob mentality, and many wanted to be rid of her, even though she hadn't done anything on purpose. The problem eventually reached the king, T'Challa, and he said that as long as she didn't use her abilities on purpose to harm anyone, there would be no problem. Even though the king said this, it did not stop others from hating her, and many avoided her. Mirembe lost her friends, and was soon left alone, for many people feared her.
She had gone into a downward spiral, and she withstood 2 months of this, and she pushed away her family. Mirembe became more quiet, ignoring the rest of the world. This was her life, until Charles Xavier noticed her on one of his visits to Wakanda. He knew that she wasn't a mutant because of the meteor, she was a natural born one. He spoke with her parents, and asked if she wanted to learn how to control her abilities at his school. She did, and went with him back to the United States. It would take a while for her to adjust, she still wasn't too used to the world outside of Wakanda, but she had high hopes.
