He's got a bit of a mustache on him, but not too much of one. He has several scars all over his body from fighting for the Earth Kingdom army, though not too many that are easily visible. He has one that is and it is a scar across his neck, from a fight that had almost cost him his life.

He is generally a well dressed, and clean individual. Though his choice of clothing usually is anything that could allow him easy movement with his sword, since he always keeps that by his side whenever possible. Combat dress is almost always the exclusive type of clothing he is wearing and not any other sort of outfit really

Ryuu is a bit on the protective side, willing to defend everyone in his family, or anyone he feels close to with his life. He will gladly stand between a good friend or ally and the Fire Nation army. He is a bit stubborn, and once he's set his mind on something, it is very difficult to change his mind. He is determine to protect everyone that he holds dear in his life, and will stop at nothing to ensure peace is returned to the world.

Ryuu tends to roll his eyes a lot, generally if he is a bit annoyed. Though what can also happen if he is annoyed is he will just stare stoically at a person, saying nothing, and usually they shut up and stop talking. Sometimes out of boredom, he will swing his sword around, but don't worry, he is trained and knows what he's doing with it.

The thing he loves doing more than anything else is practicing his sword fighting. Sometimes Ryuu will even close his eyes and swing his sword around, doing tricks. He hates it when people think he is all muscle and no brains, not really knowing too much, even though he actually is pretty smart for his age.

Ryuu was born to a well-off family in the city of Omashu, well, him and his identical twin brother Sora were. He and his brother were fairly close when they were a lot younger, which made things when they became adults a lot harder on them. Ryuu joined the Earth Kingdom army the instant he was able to, preferring to protect those he cared about, but he discovered that his brother was allied with the Fire Nation, and left their home in order to work with the Fire Nation more closely. This incident tore him and his brother apart, and Ryuu wishes that things were different with Sora.

He hasn't spoken to his brother in 5 years, not since they were 18 years old, and he missed him. Though going up against the Fire Nation when you had a twin brother who looked exactly like you did have some perks, allowing him to use his brother's name to move about freely. However, there was one instance where he was caught in a lie, and had his neck cut open. If it weren't for a nearby family willing to help him, he would have bled out and died right there.

Ryuu hopes to one day reconnect with his brother. Sora's company was one of the best things he remembered about his childhood, and this war that had been brewing for years had torn them apart. He wishes to finish this war, and maybe get to know the man that his brother has become, since he knows that likely both of them have changed since they last saw one another.
