SALSA VERDE
SALSA VERDE

▅▅▅▅austin | ♏︎ | he/him | 28 | vegan

Hi, I’m Salsa Verde, arguably the best salsa and formally known as the writer, Syn. I’m a Wildlife Biologist traveling the country looking to work with the coolest: herps, mammals, birds, and invertebrates I can get my hands on. I also like plants, trees, and fungi specifically. I’ve been writing for about 13 years now and recently decided to get back into it. I enjoy anything from casual to high roleplay, 1x1, and arena. My main genres tend to be anime, SOL, and superhero but I’m really down to participate in anything. And yeah I like all that weeb shit.

Putting my character sheet down for approval. Adjust the power as you see fit, as this is your thing. I've just taken a few things from that supwerpower wiki about healing. And, of course, please point out any other details I might have gotten wrong or if something is too over the top.

Are there any plans to go through previous character relations or is everyone (somewhat) unknown to each other, even if they attended the same school?

I like it, Picasso. Did you have any power aesthetics you’d like to add to it? Also I’ll let nodogs answer that last question you had.

Agreed, and the formatting is particularly difficult to parse on a phone or tablet.

It's the main thing that's holding me up, since I'm waiting to even work on it until I can be at a computer for a reasonable amount of time.

May be easier to just write each section on a word doc or note pad first and then copy and paste into where the coding instructs.
I will try to put something together because this totally reminds me of Chronicle and I love the film.

You were in the last one homie

Casper wasn’t sure what the allure of the beach was to him. Maybe it was the soft sea foam that formed from every wave or the intoxicating smell of the salt fresh from each tide. Regardless of what it was, he was drawn to it, to the point that it became a habit for him before school everyday. Unlike most of his peers, his functioning hours laid between twilight. 2am-6am was his favorite time as it felt like that’s when the world finally felt like it was a ghost town and no one was there to occupy it but himself. Between the soft faded clouds, peeked the head of the sun. Within a few minutes everything was doused in a medley of pinks, purples, and oranges. Looking at his phone it was almost time for the first and last day of his Delbrook career. Birds began to sing while he popped AirPods into his ear and hit play before he started down the road on his skateboard. It’s not that he didn’t want a car nor that he couldn’t afford one, but he didn’t really need one since he lived decently close to campus and it saved him money for things he considered more important, like creating an EP for labels to listen to.

Like their mascot, Casper rolled in like a rising tide. He was greeted with the new class of freshmen that moved up from the middle school and he couldn’t help but wonder if he looked that young when he was their age, they get tinier every year. The halls were as clogged as always, pushing past the loitering crowd and peering into the cafeteria to see if he recognized anyone. Nothing. Guess everyone was either still arriving or already in home room. He walked past the center of the school at a crossroads looking at the massive image of Poseidon etched on the wall and kind of scoffed, after all guys who were into Greek mythology were the equivalent to girls who got into astrology. He liked both so what did that say about him? The drum of the five minute bell pulled him back in, the only thing more terrorizing than the bell was the default alarm on the iPhone. Luckily he made it in time just to catch the makings of a line formed outside Miss Goldman’s room. Spanish was cool and all, but Creole was more up his alley or that’s what his mom led him to believe.

“Hola, cómo estás Profe?” That should have gotten the heat off him for now, making his way to his seat. He found himself comfortably square in the middle of the chart. Everyone already knew him by Caspian, Cas, or Casper so there was no need to write his nicknames on the board. She went over the typical spiel as she did every year prior. It was nice to know they had the autonomy to do whatever they wanted in their free period. Casper mostly slept since he spends four or so hours up on the beach. Just then the speaker came alive with static before the Sea god himself began to speak. He half rolled his eyes at the dystopian practice of standing up and reciting something so indoctrinated within them since elementary school, but nonetheless he humored their principal and stood up idly until it was over. Casper turned and made sure he greeted his new and old peers before the principal finished the rest of his message and they headed over to the auditorium. More pleasantries that put mostly everyone to sleep until they perked up at the announcement of the carnival. This was almost undoubtedly a risky way to start the year, but as they headed onto the field, Casper only head one thought in his mind. Funnel Cake.

It was hard to know whether or not the words that left her mouth were genuine or crafted from tricks of the trades, she had hoped it was the latter as it had been a few years since joining Tsukiyama. Things were different this time around, her first gang, Sons of Angels, was just a means to an ends. For some reason she felt like she could finally find peace with her peers, but for now old habits still die hard. Luckily for Hikari, Kiyo recently just cleared all the excess empty bottles in her car so they didn’t spill out once she opened the door, a little habit she started to develop on tails. “Seems like he got his money’s worth before you know. Well anyways lets hope you don’t have to wear his skin for too long. Cigarette?” She asked with the orange end of the filter popping up out of a cramped carton. Hikari didn’t seem like the type, but then again none of them did, regardless it was just good manners.

She sunk back into her seat before the engine turned over once more and she took off. “She’s my pride and joy, I’ve had her for a few years now. The only reliable house and bed I’ve known, take as much of a rest as you need. I’ll get there before the meeting starts.”

“Out of nowhere, the mind comes forth.”, she didn’t quite know what Hikari meant by this, but she let it rattle in her brain before she slipped a disk into the tray and let the colorful jazz slip them into a stream of unconsciousness.

Headlights pierced the nights fog jutting from the grates below the hideout. Lights dimmed and the hum of her car fell silent. “Right on time” she said before opening the passengers side door to let Hikari out. With no time to dawdle they entered right away. Familiar faces populated the room around her and the smile of Tsuki seemed like a good omen, that or it was just a particularly strong joint. Regardless, she found a seat before pressing the wrinkles out of her pants. It was all business from the start, Tsuki found no avenue for wasted breath or intel. Kiyo hung onto every word just waiting for her name to be called so she could get a head start on her mission, alone hopefully.

After hearing all of the assignments she was a bit remised to have not been on the all girl mission, then again she wasn’t one for glamour or sex appeal. Not that having an eyepatch lent any kind of support in that aspect, maybe someone would find it exotic. Explosives weren’t her speciality, but she has played the role of saboteur quite a handful of time. As good as she was at stealth, the possibility of it going south was what excited her the most. After all, punishing the weapons dealers with her own weapons seemed poetic.

She stood and began to walk towards her group assignment, “We’ll be the first ones done Tsuki” she said confidently, before leaning on a table next to Hiroto.
