@ClocktowerEchos Hmm yeah, I did think about trying to squeeze that into the history, but I felt like I couldn't exactly find a place to add that. Suppose to help explain why it relates to his personality, he really isn't a hateful person and to share in the anti-Kohrneheim prejudice felt out of place for the guy. Rather he doesn't hate Ennedi, but he simply doesn't like the zealousness that is usually associated with them. Suppose the basic reason is I felt that by taking away that anti-Kohrneheim sentiment there still should be a group he doesn't quite look at favorably. Might just take the Ennedi part out at any rate.
An idea I had is that at one point in his schooling, he studied some bits of Kohrneheim engineering and grew a deep respect for it. Then later in the military, High Terra had his unit attached to a Kohrneheim unit for rebel hunting or something and while the rest of his squad dislike said Reichmen unit, Soko became friends with a/a few of the Kohrnheim engineers.
As for the Ennedi part, it could be that at one point he was assigned there as garrison or R&R and their devotion just rubbed him the wrong way a little. You could also say you took part in the original battle that started this whole mess.
Heh, also yeah I would've gone for the Fallout 4 power fist if Soko was more of an infantry character... but its also not too late to change my mind, eh?
