A New Rival Appears?!

@Spriggs27@Zelosse@Kalleth@baraquiel@Pseudo Stygian

Long-winded speeches about killing each other, and learning to get along, and the sort of things one might hear being told to little kids who needed to be scolded were the words of the day for Diana and Kris, it seemed, after Mr. Manilow had finally released them. Though really, beyond simple acknowledgement of "yes, sir" the red haired German girl did not say much. She watched as the "ice princess" she had nearly tried to suffocate with flames...actually, had tried without thinking until that Darkness user had ironically intervened.......run off from the track and field grounds and off to her thing or her room or a bathroom for all Diana knew. It had been a sobering point in time for the fire user, who quietly was glad neither of the two of them had managed to deal severe wounds to each other from the looks of it. Though a little singing on the part of the ice-queen there was visible to Diana, who knew how to look for burns from...er....past experiences at home.

Though by now, standing here underground at 4pm, the redhead had reverted back to her usual self after taking some time to eat with her roommate and a girl named "Lyra" and such. It had been a pleasant lunch, a good way to get past earlier events from gym class. Yet upon feeling a pair of cold eyes upon her from afar, potentially literally, Diana had looked out of the corner of her eyes and noticed a familiar face. The ice girl, the rude prick who had been down on everyone before pushing too many buttons. Heh. It was shocking that it was that girl who could have been staring at her, a thought that brought a small smile to Diana's face, though if she was as petty as she seemed then revenge might be on her mind for all the German girl knew. And if this sterotype the ice user seemed to have played out true, anyways.

Besides, after the lunch Diana had gone to practice her skills...and take a nice swim to ease the mind and keep the body fit as well. It would be for the second time in the same day, but it had given her more time to practice what she had been doing before with her fire powers earlier and for the last three months overall. Of course, this went beyond just drying herself off...actually included something a bit more interesting than that.

But that was not Diana's main concern at the moment.

Rather, as she looked about her peers where they stood, and at both Mr. Manilow and Headmaster Kano, the teen mentally and physically readied herself, keeping her breathing calm, her heart rate steady, and keeping on a relatively relaxed demeanor to stay open to whatever they would be instructed in. Considering students of all kinds of elements were here, it was safe to say this was big and potentially competitive if she had the right idea.

Interesting...

The incident from earlier had been....unnerving to quite a degree for Leanne, the hoodie-wearing girl having had to comfort a teacher to boot. Though after this she had been...dismissed off like the others as Mr. Manilow had left to free and talk down the two troublemakers without a true explanation or word of what had gone on to her or anything. Even so, she still felt she, even if just via the use of her element in trying to prevent a fight, had something to do with that. Unless Mr. Manilow had some kind of darkness in him, but the reality was that the man was an Earth Elementalist! How could he even have two elements, already something that seemed an impossibility, but beyond that another odd question came to mind. Could other Darkness users be stimulated by the usage of powers by other Darkness users? None of it really answered the question, nor really helped her feel better save for providing a topic of distraction for her to think on and keep a level head with in the immediate aftermath of things.

Deciding not to pursue Mr. Manilow on the matter so soon, not having a full idea herself, Leanne had retired to the Infirmary to get her lip fixed. Though when that had been done she had gone back to her room. Not usually one to miss classes, the early start to the lunch period gave her a chance to ponder matters, at least whilst her roommate would in all likeliness have been back and sleeping after the early release from Gym Class. For about half an hour she had taken the time to enjoy a hot, steamy shower, her nearby phone placed on the toilet seat nearby to play music for her to use to focus on.

In all of these three months, she hadn't let anyone see her "let it go" so to say, but the nerves of the situation combined with the emotional awkwardness of the situation had gotten to her to an extent. So as the hot drops of soothing water ran over her, the Darkness user had finally begun to let out the stress in the one way she could best do so in the shower: crying. Just....crying. Though she had done her best to hide this from her roommate even, it wasn't because she was worried over being a "crybaby". She...just didn't want to overly worry anyone else, eh? But beyond that, just a way to relieve the stress when it got too much at times was an invigorating thing. Left her feeling like she was ready to take things on.

Even her grandmother had noted the need to "cry" once in a while, and that bottling things up too much only led to worse things in life.

Though once she had emerged from the shower, dried off, and turned off the music on her phone, she had pulled on a fresh set of attire and her trademark hoodie before setting out again silently. No need to worry Eir with a somber mood, but....she needed to herself think on the matter more. Indeed, there was some mystery that seemed to emanate from what had happened in gym class beyond just her gut feeling her powers had done something to Mr. Manilow, especially with his reaction to her as if she had just come back from the dead or something before breaking down into sobbing before she had went to hug him moments later. And to that end...eventually an idea had come to mind as she had wandered over to the gardens of the Academy.

Darkness was an element that had a bad reputation, she herself had first-hand experience with that, but...why? She had never been told just what the incident behind the Darkness element falling into infamy was, nor had heard of any books on it or such. If her gut was right about Mr. Manilow, then perhaps there was something about her element that was, in essence, unique in its properties. She was no expert on science or the elements, but at the same time it felt like an educated assumption...or at least one potential factor in things that seemed worth investigating. Albeit, she would need a plan for attempting to look into her element's, well, ironically dark past.....pun intended of course. Perhaps later she could go to the library when it was mostly abandoned, see if there were any books. That could be a calmer start. She wasn't aware of any Darkness teachers here, to be frank, but there was one figure at the school who seemed to carry that inhuman air about him. Headmaster Kano. Yet approaching him like that might...mmm, she had no idea how the headmaster would react. Perhaps it would be better to not ask him first unless the matter was pressing.

Eventually, though, her stomach had begun to rumble like a mighty whirlwind, with the intensity of a great earthquake....and she had gone to get some food. Alone. It allowed her to break from what felt like a far longer time than it had been, what with the questions and such on her mind and such. Just having gone to a hamburger and hot-dog place in town, as basic as it was as compared to the other flavors of foods there, she had enjoyed a simple meal....if one might count a double-decker burger with the works and medium curly fries coated in rich spices...which all came with a large Coca-Cola.....as "simple" anyways. Besides, breakfast had been light to nonexistent for her as it was, just so she could help get sleepy Eir to class.

Though by this point, a good ways into the afternoon, the time for challenge and testing. Or at least, time to descend into the dark bowels of the Academy where the Earth Elementalists were supposed to train or such. Stepping down there with the rest of her group of students, the first group that would be brought forwards to face whatever came, it seemed, Leanne felt a certain sense of awe at the scene. The dark of the area, aside from the lit torches on the wall and such, brought on a sense of...well, ease to a certain extent. Like it was "home" to a certain extent, though not her literal home as it were.

The night had always been her favorite time of day, though she did not shirk to get up in the day, but something about this scene seemed to blend well in her eyes on first glance. Like a sort of "harmony" had been established here purposefully and with careful intent. Smooth earthen floors stood below their feet like an ancient temple of old, whilst swirls of shadows seemed to dance merrily upon the pillars of the area with the flickering of the flaming light sources scattered about. Thin earth above and rare tiny cracks of light piercing into the soft blackness seemed beautiful, like a painting. Even the sounds of the jewel-like waters running through the earth below where they stood seemed to echo off of the walls in a soothing manner, like how a gentle breeze might cause a rustling in the trees and whistling through the logs and grass.

Though as her eyes found Mr. Manilow and Headmaster Kano standing together, the teenager was snapped from the beautiful display that had briefly entranced her mind. Reminders of earlier just by seeing Mr. Manilow, and the mysterious and somewhat imposing visage of the headmaster himself, left her coming "back to earth" and mentally beginning to reinforce herself. She tried to meet each of the two's eyes, to get a read of the situation but also to see if Mr. Manilow was...well, ok after earlier. Truthfully, they were not here for some kind of playdate or silly tour of this area. That much she knew for sure.

Suddenly addressed by the woman she had run into, the purple-haired empress eyed her with a matured caution for a moment as she was addressed by this other person as if being expected, a suspicious thing. However, it could also be considered a move of subtlety to avoid making a scene, as when the white-haired person pulled out a tome and placed it on the table it did not take long at all for Sanaki herself to get the idea. She could tell that was no normal book, but rather a magical tome of some sort. Not the same as she had or had seen in Tellius, but the aura about it was something she as a magic user could easily pick up on. Further, if the woman had been the one to bring her here, this would seem to be far from the optimal place to do it and manner of doing it at that. Then....hmmm, could this person potentially be in the same sort of situation?

Pulling herself up onto the strange "seat" next to this white-haired person, albeit with slight struggle due to being dressed in her own empress robes, the young ruler then looked over at this person, her face going into a more stoic "empress" mode as she used her experience to keep tabs on this other person's potential intent. However, this was more a move to be "better safe than sorry" than anything else right now, especially in a completely head-turning situation such as this where she had no troops, no familiar grounds or faces, or the like on her side. Though it was perhaps this falling into he instinctual mannerisms in this manner that helped her keep her head for the moment being as well.

Though as to how this compared to fighting a goddess and being attacked by her former subjects-turned-fanatics was up for debate still.

"You possess a tome, i see. A mage. Are you the one whom has pulled me here into this...other world, or are you in a similar position as myself in this debacle?" the Empress said to the white-haired woman in a subtle manner, not raising her voice enough to draw attention, but keeping it loud enough for this other woman she was sitting with to hear her clearly. All in all, a manner of speaking she was well-versed in as it were.

To attack a potential ally in this situation would be....mmm, ludicrous and overly-hasty for her. Though this being a mage with a tome, there was also the chance this was the one who had pulled her into this place far from her home. In the case of the former, then this was perhaps someone who had been around here long than she who might be of use, though if the latter was the case then swift action would be required. At the moment, however, she was gauging the situation properly in order to determine her next actions with care.

One moment she had been sitting down on her throne, Sigrun and Tanith in attendance with her by each side of the throne, to begin the usual day's business of handling the matters of the Begnion Empire's administration and similar things. The Senate, or rather the new Senate she had helped form in the rebuilding of her nation, had been sitting in their chairs, the old men glancing over to her waiting for permission to begin the meeting proper. Ever since the goddess had been defeated, a battle she had personally joined alongside the others to decide the fate of the world, it had been a lot of busywork to ensure peace on the continent. Many treaties had been signed to ensure the nations were not at war with each other, though even these legal measures only went so far. Remnants of the Laguz slave trade to continue to battle, anger from those who had been encase in stone but supported the Senate, and other issues that attempting to push their world to true peace would indeed have in the process.

Just the previous day news of an attack by laguz bandits on the Western side of the empire near the border, remnants of the slave trade who still held hostile feelings in all likeliness, and border forces had been taking care of this since a good portion of the proper Begnion army had been killed after serving Ashera and the corrupt former Senate members. All in all, a troublesome thing that needed to be dealt with decisively, but hopefully peacefully if she could get Gallian support in approaching these bandits.

But as she had closed her eyes for a moment to think, to take in the silence of the grand room she had become more than accustomed to since she had been 5 years old, something happened. It had felt like she was falling, dropped off of a cliff, and before she knew it the feeling was gone, the air felt different, and as she had opened up her eyes suddenly again a far, far different scene had opened up in front of her vision that was a far call from her home nation....or anywhere in Tellius for that matter.

She was sitting flat on her butt in an alley, the building in front of her alone scraping up at the sky and being of an utterly foreign style. A nasty mix of smells was in the air, originating from some metallic bin sitting to her left, likely a thing filled with refuse and horrid garbage of many sorts if she were correct about the matter. As she slowly stood and cautiously looked about, the purple-haired empress glanced down either side of the eerily empty alley. At least the daylight rung in to light up things beyond the skulking shadows of the alley....but even that sight was strange, enough to make her walk towards it. Curiosity or a cautious attempt to learn just where she was, it didn't matter. As she moved onto the sidewalk of what seemed to be a road paved with strange stone, she saw an innumerable array of metal carriages of some sort moving with people inside, honking at each other like some strange bird, coming in all sorts of shapes and color, and putting out a noxious air that made her cough several times after getting a lungful of it.

To boot, beorc of varying heights, wearing clothing far flung from anything she wore or knew in her life, walked by, some looking down at small objects that glowed in their hands, some dressed seemingly for formally than others, some giving her odd looks, and some...well, not giving a damn about her presence at all and just ignoring her outright. In part the overall scene felt...claustrophobic, There was not a single laguz anywhere, though....well, she definitely wasn't in her home nation.....or potentially the same world anymore. This entire place was so alien to her senses, however, she hadn't the slightest clue as to even the most minuscule of guesses as to what had happened.

Some fell magic used to try to kidnap her? One of the mages in her palace having miscast a new spell of some sort for moving about? Some force from another unknown realm reaching into the world of the goddess and happening to pick her up like some child's plaything? As much as it all worried her and raced within her mind, the empress' composure remained well enough to keep a straight face. Without even a single person recognizing her, bluntly shouting aloud or demanding things might not go so well. Not at all, even she knew that well enough. Further, without a sign of Sigrun, Tanith, or any of her subjects or troops or familiar faces about her when she had opened her eyes, it seemed as if she was alone as well perhaps.

Grimacing to herself, Sanaki looked about for a place nearby, somewhere she could in fact perhaps look for information. A library would be stupendous to access, and yet....did these people or her speak the same language?

"Yo, little girl, there ain't no cosplaying convention here, ya might wanna get back home before ya' parents get worried or someone snatches ya up," a passerby said to her, pausing for a moment to meet her eyes before walking off again.

Well, she could understand what that person had said at least, so perhaps there was some hope in things. Glancing to each side after she had observed the opposite side of the street for a few minutes, a green sign with what looked like a two-tailed mermaid with a crown seemed to stand out to her. A lot of people seemed to be talking whilst walking in and out of it, so perhaps here, amongst a lot of these people, she could find something of use to her. Somewhat awkwardly, despite her stoic expression she held for her own sake at the moment, Sanaki walked down this...well, walking space on the side of the street as it were, until coming to the door.

Gritting her teeth at having to move through a crowd of people like this, Sanaki did her best to push back the rest of the initial shock as she moved through the door past a couple of others who regarded her oddly. Upon entering, however, the sight of table, people seeming to be making drinks behind a counter, and the like met her along with a rich, aromatic smell that seemed to somewhat put her at ease even if it wasn't tea. Though in this more closed space, the looks she gained began to increase, the eyes feeling as if they were boring into her skull and body like they could see through her. It was...unnerving, and this feeling worked its way a little bit into her face as she moved forwards to try to find a better space to stand in, or at least see if she could find what looked like an intellectual of this...strange foreign place.

However, this would not be as simple as she thought, as promptly the Empress ran straight into a woman with short, white hair and blue eyes who seemed to be near the door chowing down on some sort of food. A small yelp came from Sanaki's lips as she did so, slightly taken aback by her own vulnerability coming to the forefront and mental irritation at having run into someone so rudely like these other beorc here seemed to be willing to do to others without blinking an eye.

@KoL
@KoL Hey, i wanted to ask if i could have Sanaki potentially run into Meteora, since PKMN told me to send the purple-haired loli to NY. Any thoughts on how you'd like to do that (since the other guy left Meteora high and dry)?

Sentient Potato

Player

Name: Sanaki, “Empress of the Begnion Empire”, “Former Apostle of Begnion”

Gender: Female

Personality: Though only 13 years old, Sanaki has a formal and strongly regal air about her, a personal charisma of sorts that exudes both a stern authority and a demand for respect for someone of her position. A good person at heart who has a thing for formality, she loathes terrible manners and is not afraid to call out others on them or give them a good tongue-lashing, all whilst holding herself up with pride and great composure usually no matter the circumstances she faces. She can be intelligent and wise beyond her years as well as clever in the same manner, and can be kind to other and non-human/beorc as well where many others might be cruel or harsh.

Though at certain times she can display an attitude fitting for a teenager, impulsively acting, emotional, or the like as would “fit the bill” for that. However, this only goes to show by contrast how strong and matured individual she is for such a very young person. To those she is closest to she can be warm, though enemies can feel the cold chill of her admittedly fiery wrath if she is incited. Admittedly she has her awkward moments as well as a teenager beyond this on very rare occasions, such as when approaching her “older sister” for the first time after beating Ashera.

Brief History: Born the second child to her mother, her older sister having been secretly driven out beforehand by the senate of the Begnion Empire for certain reasons, Sanaki was born to be the latest Apostle of the Begnion Empire in a time when the Empire needed a new leader most. Said to be the vessel of the Goddess Ashera, as her ancestors had been praised as being, she from the incredibly young age of 5 was put in power by the people with the help of her guardian Sephiran by her side. With her guardian’s help, Sanaki ruled Begnion and kept the corrupt machinations of the Senate of Begnion at bay in the meantime. Though through contact with the Radiant Hero, Ike, she managed to not only apologize for her nation to the Serenes Herons, who had been slaughtered by the empire only on wild rumors in the past, but also eventually helped others with her own two hands put down the corrupt goddess Ashera who sought to destroy the world. Though after learning she wasn’t the actual “Apostle” who could hear the goddesses’ voice, and finding out about her secret older sister who could, she was encouraged to still be a ruler and took up the mantle of the Begnion Empire as its Empress instead. She was still beloved by her people despite that.

Universe of Origin: “Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn”

Equipment:

Cymbeline- With this use of the magic of this extremely potent fire tome, which is her personal tome of choice, Sanaki drops a flaming, speeding meteor down upon her enemies at full force. The power of this tome is such it could be called a “magic nuke” of sorts. As a rule of thumb, this meteor does not cause damage to the environment, but still hits the target with the full force of an actual giant meteor to harm the enemy with its impact and flames and such things as a giant flaming meteor would have. This tome also does increased damage to beast or beast-like enemies.

Tornado- With the use of the magic of this extremely potent wind tome, an intense tornado is generated around the enemy in an instant, before closing in on the target from all sides with its intense pressure to cut and crush them with the tornado’s intense and mighty power/pressure before dissipating.

Bolting- This medium-long range spell tome, when used, causes a large lightning bolt of concentrated lightning to emerge from the sky and hit the targeted enemy. This tome does additional damage to dragons or those who are part-dragon, as well as things like wyverns that are also dragons.

Rudol Gem- A mystical gem that whilst in her possession raises Sanaki’s durability by a major amount. Was formerly possessed by her guardian the Prime Minister of the Begnion Empire, Sephiran, who have it to her after being defeated in battle after betraying the world.

Abilities:

Magic Tome Usage- Sanaki is well versed in Thunder Magic, Fire Magic, Wind Magic, and Light Magic, such that she can use the most powerful Fire Tomes and the next-to-most powerful Thunder/Wind/Light Tomes from her world.

Flare- A skill that can only be used about every 15 minutes, Sanaki can use this skill to empower her spells to both disregard any resistance to magic her target has but also heal herself to an extent based on how much damage it did to the enemy. She harms the enemy a lot or kills them, as just one example, then the healing she gets would be immense.

Magical Power- Sanaki is a natural to magic, her own magical power being among the very best in her world in her magical might when casting spells. This has allowed her to use many spell tomes, including rather powerful ones like her signature tome, with ease.

Ruling Skills- Raised by Sephiran, trained/taught by him, and being the Empress of Begnion since she was five years old, Sanaki has picked up on methods of organization, a high level of education for even someone her age, learning to sniff out wily tricks and underhanded attempts of others along with their lies, and similar skills a ruler would need to have. She is no military general, but at the same time is not terrible at strategy either to boot.

Other: Ravioli, ravioli, don’t anger the purple-haired loli.
