Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

@Hael, that's fine. You know Astarte, so you better prepare something pretty or interesting to use as an offering!

On another topic- Are our Gods alive? Can they be considered a force of nature or is everything that they make artificial?

An arbitrary distinction in my eyes; everything would be created by some god or another, so if their creations are 'artificial' then what would ever be natural?
"Great One! Da village under attack! Fiery thing comes burn tents!" a voice called out from within the shaman's hut.

"THEN SLAY THE INTERLOPERS!" a monstrous voice roared back, its diabolical tone harsh like the grating of metal.

"Warriors charge out to go bashin', but dey be needin' yer hel-"

D'Artagne would walk in to see the shaman in all his horror. This being was no longer a mere orc; magic had twisted and warped his body into something even more insidious. Wild horns spouted out from all parts of his body, magical tattoos in the likeness of beast and meaningless lines alike adorrned his stony flesh, and where a normal orc had hands this shaman had claws that resembled molten slag.

With unnatural ease and quickness the shaman moved to grip by the throat that worthless guardsmen that had disturbed him. Cackling as the searing heat of his massive hands charred and melted flesh, from within the shaman's helmet he roared, "A warrior that flees to his shaman rather than fight is a warrior that is not worth the grog he drinks!" In one violent motion, he hurled the pitiful orc across the room. The sudden arrival of D'Artagne was the only thing that allowed the barely-living respite from the shaman's full wrath.

"And what is this?!" he roared at D'Artagne, his heated breath steaming out from the confines of his helmet as a smoky haze. Clearly he was not happy at the preposterous notion of his village being attacked and the rabbitman before him managing to sneak in, but at least he wasn't trying to kill D'Artagne yet. Still, the rabbitman would probably have only a few moments to think of some sort of answer before the raging and unpredictable shaman had another fit of rage.

Bemused, Faeles watched as the ever-irate Clotho flew away as hastily as she had appeared. He so no need in taking the time to immediately depart; rather, he would wait and see exactly what became of this mess. Opening a small vial of what appeared to be some dark fluid, the arch-thief let loose vapors of pure darkness, and in doing so rendered himself invisble to the weak-minded orcs. Laughing as he stood unseen whilst in plain sight, he watched as Torrens incinerated those warriors that challenged him, only to immediately after fall prey to a barrage of arrows from the unseen guards above. Before the last of the jagged blades had collided with the demon's fiery flesh, another volley had been knocked and loosed. And then another. With frightening speed and accuracy, the determined invaders turned Torrens into something as a firework as arrows after arrow tore into him, unleashing blasts of fire and depleting him of his energy.

Whether this would prove fatal or if he would manage to escape remained to be seen; whilst a good deal of the arrows would have struck true, if he reacted quickly enough he might be able to find cover or quickly retaliate with a fireball or two of his own.
Mkay guys now we just have to up the pressure and force @Kho to make it happen now!
If it isn't clear from what I previously said, I support an immediate reboot as well

I'm all for it - there will ultimately come a point, if the RP develops far enough, were space exploration will become a thing, and it would be a shame for Galbarians to find they are in fact alone in the universe. It would be a nightmare to create so many planets with their own different races, histories etc. though, each planet would effectively be an RP on its own, and the eventual meeting between them will be the bringing together of all said RPs. It's not impossible, but it would be exceedingly difficult and require a great amount of time and dedication

Zephyrion can fix this. His hubris is to the point that if he is insulted, he would whimsically open a portal and unleash a horde of his worshipers from another planet to rampage through Galbar and pillage the followers of another god. Or just outright attack said god. For fun, I imagine that he'll do that at least once or twice, and through this the denizens of both planets will encounter one another. Ironically I'm looking forward to playing as a few heroes about as much as I am Zephyrion. One of the heroes in particular might also go from planet to planet.

Long story short, I won't just create a parallel RP instead of this one; I for one will try to bridge the worlds and intertwine the web of plots.

I'm also thinking of scrapping Festus and going with something sort of new. At the very least, taking a spot that quickly became vacant during the previous rp: the God/Goddess of Order. Let's face it, even Vestec can't have his way forever :P

Yes, last time we were notably lacking any true good guys, so this sounds good to me. Somebody has to counterbalance Vestec, too

Also, because there's a LOT of activity on this page, why don't we go ahead and start reboot the RP now

The same thing actually crossed my mind today. While I don't have tons of time on my hands I think I could manage to be active enough if we started the RP now. It's better than just stewing on all these ideas for another half year.

@Hael

Undasis' power over storms conflicts somewhat with Zephyrion's (not Cyclanos'!) domain and portfolio, which lends me to mixed feelings. On the one hand it'd be cool to have the gods of air and water constantly bickering and creating hurricanes as they fight, leaving the poor little mortals to pray for peace so that the deluges of rain will stop flooding their houses.

On the other hand, perhaps it's best that we try not to have that much overlap. Zephyrion's change and Vestec's chaos are similar enough as is.

In the end I think your new idea is better for you because of the reasons that you said, and because I usually just have a bias towards liking new characters rather than recycled ones. It's probably somewhat better for me as well if you go with Mind Girl.
@Eviledd1984

Well, what BBeast said. You could also try to figure out what's going on with the orcs' king, since D'Artagne knows about that from overhearing the orcs in the tent.

The one hint I'll give you is that the shaman isn't nearly as much of a threat as the king.
I'm probably going with Zephyrion then. Thanks for the feedback :D

Zephyrion: This one sounds really nice, but there is something quite sinister lurking behind it. Like an epic villain in hiding kind of sinister. A mastermind controlling things from behind the scenes kind of sinister. A Vowzra kind of sini- um, sensational O.O

That was exactly what I was going for! Perfect!
When Ialu eventually ascended I was going to have him make a planet or two and try to keep it his little secret from the others. A little playground of his own.

Similarly I think my guy this time around will have a planet or two that he claims complete dominion over and tries to keep the others away from. Naturally, I expect Vestec for one to ignore the silly air god's wishes

...I really need to think of a name befitting of my god so I can stop saying 'my guy'. Anyone want to help me with that? I can think of plenty of names: Atmus, Aeros, Cyclanos, Ventus, Volatus, Zephyrion...

I just can't decide between any of them

Things got so bad he had to create his own nemesis order. ;_;

See the few thousand quote. Gods, least of all Vestec, rarely have rhyme or reason to their creations other than 'this looks neat'. I see no problem with just dropping a reasonable number of a new race onto the world and seeing what happens. If you drop them in the middle of an advanced nation that likes to enslave and kill things, well, they're probably gonna be enslaved and killed. Besides, the other planet thing would mean that they'd probably have different technology, climate, matierals, unless their God simply was able to create everything the other gods created or transfered all of what made Galbar habitable too said planet.

Since creating things takes effort, time, creativity, and might I think it'd make sense for a god to just bring the stuff on Galbar over to other planets. It's what I'm going to do.
