The Forsaken City of Anor Londo

Cast down by the fanatics of the Last Ember into the darkness of the ruined city of Anor Londo. This is the fate that awaits those deemed a heretic by the Cult, a worse punishment than imprisonment or flogging is to be trapped in such a realm of eternal night. All sense of times passage is lost without the light of day and without light many lose hope, and inevitably their sanity as the darkness gnaws away what humanity they had left. Once lost the hollowed begin to stalk through the shadows, ready to drag the unwary into the inky blackness where the screams of the damned are never heard. The only light in Anor Londo is the ever present full moon that sheds a pale light over the city district, where only lunatics roam attacking anything that gets close.

Only within the relative safety of the ruined cathedral few have gathered to huddle in the dark halls lit by the pale light of the cold moon, sitting in silence around the glowing embers of a once bright bonfire.

The Sanctuary of New Londo

Underground beneath the cracks and crevasses of the earth lie a city that had once stood long forgotten by the world, a grim reminder of a dark past.

But then the fires faded to only embers, awakening a new light within the depths of New Londo.

A group of men and women came calling themselves the followers of the Last Ember devout to their lady Gwynevere, soon the empty darkness was filled with harsh light cast of by unnatural fire. At the very center of New Londo an old temple was uncovered with four statues at it's steps. It is here now where the heretics deemed abominations to the faith are burnt by fire and fed to the bonfire of the last embers gathered throughout the darkening lands.

Now only embers remain, flittering through the slowly darkening sky like fireflies in the dead of night. And yet even with the prophecy nearing fruition some would see that the light never dies. It was in the long dark shadows of Anor Londo's once grand halls that the last of Gwyneveres followers, still disillusioned by their ladies true nature gathered.

In the eye's of her most devout of followers the creeping darkness was the fault of the Chosen Undead who killed their leaders and brought ruin to the land, yet even though the First Flame was extinguished there were still embers remaining...

It was the embers in the sky that gave way to the fanaticism of Gwyneveres devout, their mission became clear motivated by a desire to punish those deemed heretics and sympathizers of the Chosen Undead. And so the Cult of the Last Ember was formed, armed with their blind faith to make the surrounding lands pay penance for allowing the actions of the Chosen Undead come to fruition.

The bright and glorious city of Anor Londo once a shining beacon of hope now is but a dark reflection of it's former glory where those branded as heretics by the Cult are banished. Anor Londo is now a prison of the damned, where horrors lurk in the long shadows waiting to drag the unwary to their demise. Yet hope as faint as it is fleeting still guides some while others are driven mad with grief or despair.

Rules

- No Godmodding: At this point (or any other for that matter) your characters shouldn't be all-powerful mages or herculean warriors. While you aren't necessarily overpowered, the player characters are by no measure completely incompetent.
- No Mary Sue's: Try to make a character you want to play that isn't just your generic sword-swinging shmuck or typical protagonist.
- Quality Over Quantity: As always, don't feel pressured to write a multi-paragraph essay. The minimum posting requirement is a one to two paragraphs, but if you feel inspired write as much or as little to your hearts content.

Character Sheet Template

Name: Your characters given name from birth.

Monikers: Titles and/or Nicknames your character is known by.

Place of Birth: The name of your homeland.

Gender: Male or Female.

Appearance: A picture of your character and/or a short description of your characters appearance, if you want tell us what they look like as a hollow as well.

Status: Unhollowed or Hollow.

Biography: A few sentences or more describing your characters past up to the present. You don't need to write me a ten page essay, write at your own pace and have fun crafting your characters story.

Personality: A description of your characters various ideals, quirks and other defining personality traits.

Skills: A few of the various skills your characters possess, please be reasonable with your characters skill choices..

Equipment: Your characters armor, weapons, accessories and other gear. Characters begin the RP with the typical starter gear so no special items unless you present me with a viable case.

Other: Anything else that you think deserves to be added.
