Vivian

Greenhaven

31

"And If I win you have to help me!" Viv's voice was loud, stern and somewhat shaky as she yelled at a trio of smug looking teens barely a few years older than herself. Their clothes were very slack and casual just like their attitude. They were clearly locals and accustomed to the heat. Vivian was not so much.
Having travelled back out into the desert in search of some strong trainers, Vivian found who she was looking for, but they were very reluctant to help.

The trio were known to be formidable, it was through that reputation that Vivian was able to find them. They surely had the strength to help her free Azerus but to her dismay that would not do so unless she could beat them in a battle
- A three on three battle -
and difficult as thy were, they refused to battle one at a time.
As Vivian had no choice but to try this on her own, lucky for her with ferroseed she now had three Pokemon. But this was the first time she would have met Ferroseed since his capture.

She holds his ball dearly. "Ferroseed, please help me." she whispers to the cold metal. Looking back at the trio with a fierce determination burning in her eyes Vivian signals that she is ready with a nod.

Nonchalantly they reply with a nod back, one even unashamedly lets out a tired yawn. With a casual carefree ease they release their Pokemon with a 'what ever' attitude.
A Maractus, Exadrill and Pignite appear before them. The pokemon look to each other with the happy welcoming greeting of close friends.

Vivian takes a deep nervous breath, she wished her own Pokemon were that close. With a fling of her arm she sent out all her pokemon at once.
"Flabebe, Petilil, Ferroseed. Let's do this! I believe in you. Work together now."

Azerus Jr

Greenhaven

34

"Sphhheal?..."
It had been a bit ambitious to assume his spheal new blizzard. Azerus groaned as the darkness continued to frustrate him. All around he could hear the flutter of his Zubat and the scratching of the small metal Pokemon but neither kept still long enough for him to properly follow.

Picking up his spheal he aimed it at the noise. "Icebeam." Spheal obeyed and a beam of ice shot out and quickly disappeared from the small radius of light granted from the broken pokedex.
The noise continued...

"Ice beam! Ice beam! ICE BEAM!!!"
Azerus yelled as he threw out commands while spheal struggled to continue to throw out his icebeams. Soon the darkness had grown cold, still and silent.

It took Azerus the following hour to search the melting ice to find his soaked Zubat and a fainted Aron laying in a puddle.

@Lord of Evil
Ahh he's back in the sewer isn't he...

Because I'm too lazy to get a full post up

Only if Stephen is in the sewer.
@BubblegumQueen
You might want to take control of your brother for this part.
*Forced second character* :p
@Rilla So is this still round-robin style?
@t2wave Ah, you are who I needed to tag!
My last post includes you. It's question time!
@BubblegumQueen@duskshine749(I'm missing someone)

Felicity had only just disappeared when a team of three detectives came down the stairs and into the main hallway. Pens and paper in hand they took to the arduous task of questioning everybody in the premises through door knocking.
It wasn't long untill a heavy impatient knock reached Sam's door.
It came from a man of average height in a gray top and black suit jacket. His hair was kept short on the verge of bald and his face cleanly shaven.
Intense narrow brown eyes stared at who ever answered the door.

"Hello, I am detective Jackson, I'm with the NYPD" he flashes a golden badge as confirmation. "I need to ask you a few questions pertaining to an incident that occurred last night. I hope you can be of some assistance." The man readies his notebook and pen while trying to peer inside at a sudden sound. "I'm sorry, could you bring the others here so I may question everybody at once?" he asks.

He waits patiently before beginning.
"Firstly is this your residence?
Can I please have your name?
Where you here all last night?
Did you hear or see anything suspicious? Out of the ordinary?
Are you acquainted with the Grey family who live two floors up? Perhaps Luke or his father?
Do you know anyone else who might be?
Have you heard anything or have any information regarding a possible homicide last night?"

After that lengthy discussion it appeared he was almost done until he pulled out a piece of paper and held it up.
"Are any of you familiar with this girl?"

His body was of a fighter but his mouth a comedian. Vallen ignored his opponent. Maybe many years ago that nature would have appealed to a younger and more reckless version of himself, but not now. His gaze and facial expression remained flat and focused, unflinching he didn't budge an inch. The mans intimidating presence kept Vallen highly alert.
Words were the most direct path to deception, therefore Vallen was not interested in them.

There was too much riding on his victory. He was here for one thing and one thing only. Pleasantries could come at the end.

Seeing that Sutemasu was waiting Vallen gave him a reply in motion as he brought his back leg forward and crossed it behind the knee of his other. Simultaneously his arms shot up, out to the side and spun around in opposite descending circles to end at his chest. With a powerful breath and his thumbs touching, he pushed forward both hands, open, slowly and under an invisible pressure. One more flourish and he gracefully fell back into his familiar fighting stance.
Now with a smile he rolled his neck and shoulders while shifting his weight from his back foot to his front. Not only had he begun to limber up but secretly he had also focused his energies and put in place the beginning of his air elemental summon, should he suddenly need to call upon it.

@Buddha@Guru@Rilla
Having arrived first Vallen takes the brief opportunity to survey the wide barren landscape. Low ruble lay along the floor everywhere and a foul sour stench hung tightly in the air. He moves cautiously and slowly as his feet acclimatise to the litter of many hardened protrusions breaking through the scarce patches of grainy soft sand.
He bends down to examine one such item.

The cold earth talked to his feet as he sweeps the arena. The gentle breeze whispered in his ear as he moved around. But it had taken a moment for his eyes to adjust fully to the dim star light.
As he lifted that smooth cracked ornament from the ground by its sockets, then he finally truly realised where he stood.

A deep still pause suddenly overcome the monk. He manoeuvred his hands to bring the dirt ridden, cold, damaged forehead of the skull to touch upon the warm clean skin of his own. Closing his eyes he said a silent preyer for the fallen. Such death of this magnitude could not simply pass his heart without leaving it somewhat weighted.

It was then his opponent suddenly joined him on the battle field. It was ok, Vallen had already familiarised himself and sown his seeds. He drops the skull.

Sutemasu had appeared in a familiar flash of bright light not to far away from the monk himself. It was the very same flash of light that brought Vallen here and disorientated him to the sudden darkness. For a split fleeting second the monk considered capitalising on his knowledge and that moment, but his conscious was strong and knew better, allowing the thought to simply drift by passing on the cold breeze.

Sliding his left foot out and slightly forward, with a deep inhale Vallen lowers himself into a ready fighting stance. His hands loosely curled and half raised. Intently eyeing every faint motion of the muscular old man before him. While he seemed unarmored and unarmed, his scars spoke of experience. One might guess with muscles like those that he was less flexible and slow but his powers, if any, were still unknown. For that reason Vallen allowed himself no assumptions of his opponent and decided to withhold his own for as long as possible.

So he remained, combat ready and waiting. Still and silent in a field of death and decay.

@Buddha@Guru@Rilla
Nothing had stirred the monk. No boisterous vocal attitude, clandestine watery welcome or even loud solemn declaration. None of it. In fact it was not until the end of the announcement did he finally move. He stood up, without a word or concern he carried himself in silence with purposeful swift strides as he stepped toward and into the teleportation device.
There was a bright flash and then he was gone.
@Rilla

Would Vallen have any idea of how much was just bet against him.
