Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

Dark! Please stop. Now.

No. Stay out of this. I'm not going to be civil when someone uses false information and furthers that by trying to use their beliefs to control people.

<Snipped quote by Legend>

Exactly. As an example, to eat one candy (although I myself do not eat candy other than chocolate) might, say, give some sugar and some energy that would be more readily converted into fat. However, some exercise would negate the bad effects--as long as you ate the candy in moderation. However, seeing as marijuana has immediate, powerful, and generally irreversible effects (specifically the effect on the lungs), then it can't even be used in moderation without sinning against your body.

I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing; I'm arguing for the sake of you and the friends that you spend your time with. We should not be party to sin, and that includes allowing it to happen in our presence, because that sets a bad example (that it's not a sin, and therefore Christians can do it).

Again, you're wrong. There are no unbiased studies (at least that I or anyone with actual knowledge on the subject I've ever heard talk about it have seen) that back up your claim that it's "immediate, powerful, and generally irreversible" unless you take it at a young age like 11 or 13. At 16 it causes some problems, and after development it's negligible if there at all.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

"When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood." Ezekiel 3:18.

To do knowingly anything that hurts the body, the temple of the Holy Spirit (even if it's not quite that just yet), is a sin. If we allow people to continue in their sin unchecked, the consequences of their sin are on our heads, not just theirs. Christians simply cannot be neutral on it.

No, it's not in concentrated amounts that the effect happens. "One major research study reported that a single cannabis joint could cause as much damage to the lungs as up to five regular cigarettes smoked one after another." Marijuana also exacerbates depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.

So warn them then shut the fuck up. If they aren't christians then you don't get to claim anything about their body being anyone's but their own.

You're entirely wrong. That statement has been disproved, and it can potentially make them worse, yes, but it can also, more commonly might I add, help with those problems.

It shrinks the frontal lobes.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

That's not how it works.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

He doesn't have any Codex as far as I'm aware.

Not true. The worst that can happen is it can >possibly< make certain problems worse, and >possibly< lower immune system responses slightly. With it being illegal, there aren't many reliable studies on the effects. Most information, including shrinking the frontal lobe, comes from decades old biased studies done to justify the drug war on it. If you smoke it while still developing, another reason to legalize it so it can be regulated like alcohol, then it can cause some problems with brain development, but that's true of pretty much everything to some degree or another. Obviously it causes the same problems that any mental medicines do as well, ie. that the chemicals it has will affect the receptors and production of them in the brain until a while after it's stopped being used and adjusts back to having no outside input.

As long as you don't smoke it while pregnant or breastfeeding, or while you have lung problems (if you smoke it), heart attack risks (it speeds heartrate for a while), or with seizure disorders (potentially could make it worse, potentially could make it better, as well), then it's not dangerous at all. Not to mention it's impossible to overdoes unless you like liquefy it and inject it or something insane like that.
Btw, David I need you to have Jibril contact Osiris. Either to say the meeting is set up (i.e. meaning it'll actually happen next time Tox is on unless he doesn't care to be a part of it) or just for some other reason. Part of the "quick and painless" fix.

Oooh.

*Blinks while looking at you with a strange expression*
... What?
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Weed is about as harmful as smoking oak leaves. About the only 'harm' that it does is make one lazy and hungry.

Exactly.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Because it's a binary "if death is directly caused, it's bad, otherwise its good" switch. /s

You don't get to complain about something being binary, either.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Literally 100%.

Niiice.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Called this as well.

<Snipped quote by Legend>

As did I. Felt I had to say it anyway.

You can complain if and when the first ever death from pot is recorded. :/
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

You have such a casual view of the usage of drugs.

Prob because he's around them so he knows pot isn't dangerous aside from the drug war.
