I can help here. Most of what anyone means when they say "energy" is plasma. They're way different, but when you shoot a glowing white beam, it's plasma, not energy. The second interpretation (especially if it's colored) is a force of some kind (e.g. electromagnetic). If it does something special that most others don't, it's likely a force that the user is able to generate and others cannot. So David and I were brainstorming about stuff to do for the MR Christmas special. What we thought is that we could use a What-If Rift so we don't disturb the current events. The actual Christmas ideas were as follows:

Mine: A charity thing where the members of the group go around fixing up forsaken worlds and spreading Christmas cheer. (Everybody Snapped can be good for the time because of the WiR.)

David's: A gift exchange. (He didn't elaborate much, but I thought we could incorporate it into the charity idea. Or any other idea anybody else thinks of.)

Your ideas: [insert here but not really just quote and post obvs]

(You can tell I'm in a great mood. Christmas is great.)

Old villains ravage planets as we save the world from the ghosts of Christmas past. Also, everyone's powers got swapped around and they have to try to win without knowing how to use them.

How about instead of the Old Villians ravaging planets, they become the good guys. Like Grinch type of story. And the Ghosts of Cristmas Pasts, Present, and Futures are the "good guys" (us) turned bad!!

I'm going to preemtively state not to take what gets said IC into the OOC for the next... however long, if I do anything christmas related. Like, even the true stuff. Leave the char separate, aight? I'll try to do the same.

I like the idea of the ghosts and of chars getting realigned. I can make it work with setting up for it.

Suggestions, I guess. Not great. Bleh.

I could set up the non canon scenarios if needed. Already put stuff in play a while back that lets it work, aside from Cupid.

Whatever the decision, I personally vote Dark and Gemini narrate as if it's a christmas story book. Since it's not canon anyway, might as well.

I'm totally having my new chars go around giving and stealing presents from people trying to outdo each other in the background.

Ideas:

> Everyone loses their powers, stranded on a planet, and try to make the perfect christmas for someone (I vote ES, Mordric, etc.) Trying to make it snow would be great to see.
> David trying to convince Ma'at that christmas is totally in december and (as would be in character for Dynamo, in my mind) is about getting presents instead of helping people/spending time with family, and/or just trying to show her how humans do christmas.
> Shipping fun with mistletoe but you'd all probably not like that if I were involved for obvious reasons.
> Epic snowball fights.
> A reverse scrooge story where someone is really happy and nice and everyone else and three ghosts eventually convince them to be a douche. (I nominate LB, Dark, and Misty as the ghosts, personally.)
> A giant fucking dinner where everyone past and present goes out to get and prepare food and a tree and presents, then eat together and so on. Preferably without powers.
