@DarkwolfX37: The moment the original Anubis gives away his mantle, he'll no longer be recognized as Anubis by other spirits, since he gave away his original mantle. He'll be seen as another spirit entirely, with a new mantle, which can also be given away. But if you obtain multiple "versions" of a spirit's mantle, the benefits will be rather minimal, since each one is rather similar to the others and thus has a lot of redundancy.
I'm going to reword that section to say "versions" instead of "copies", since they aren't really copies.
