Hey, you know what's annoying? Being self-centered. Getting mad at people for doing something instead of something else when they're just having fun sucks. Gotta love self-loathing, too.

@DarkwolfX37 Those are good suggestions. I like the idea of this being a required class for new arrivals. The only problem is that it doesn't explain the second year students. I suppose they could be there to help guide the first years. I don't want to do complete cannon but I do want to follow the idea of the soul eater.

I could see participating in this class as an easy half credit elective for second years, to give assistance when needed or even as a test for their ability to lead.
Or it could be a test for the second years to try to hide themselves and pass themselves off as first years as an assignment related to covert operations, as sort of a "introductory to covert ops," or more likely a "practicality of covert ops" (since introduction wouldn't really make sense to just thrust the students into a test that would take anywhere from a day to an entire semester) class' test. Like they're graded on how well they integrate and how long it takes for them to be outed as second years, meaning they'd have to be careful outside of class too. I can imagine Sid giving something like that as an assignment worth 10% of their final grade or something.
And then the first years would be told during another class, "introduction to covert ops" would fit well here instead, that there are second years disguised among them in one of their classes but not told which class, and 10% of their final grade relied on their ability to learn which students are second years without letting other first years know. A sort of "if you take too long then you fail because you might have just been told the answers unless you discover someone who hadn't been discovered yet" thing.
It's convoluted, but I could totally see it happening. Then the second years would just choose the class they already are a part of.

I could probably come up with other reasons for second years being there, given enough time.

"...nothing that you would deem important." Catherine said, more than a little subtle about the fact she was annoyed a student decided it was okay to completely miss her class.

"I suggest you ask your classmates instead of me first. They should be able to fill you in on what you missed."

"Coolio~" Kari replied, not noticing the annoyance in her teacher's voice. She quickly turned around and caught up to the two nearest students.

@Demonic Angel@olcharlieboi "Hoy~ Could you two do me a huge favor and tell me what class was about? I totally slept in and missed it, and I doubt my meister would tell me once he knew why I was asking." Kari rubbed the back of her head in slight embarrassment, imagining the lecture she'd probably get on proper sleep schedules.

@olcharlieboi I know. And part of my fault. I thought NOT was best since most of the pairs are new. I don't think they would qualify for EAT. That being said I don't feel comfortable restricting everyone to just class and mundane school things. That is why I want everyone's opinion. If most people want to do class that is fine.

Another very plausible option is that this class is for new arrivals to DWMA, and is required regardless of being NOT or EAT. If you then go with my suggestion for this class observing an EAT operation, it would be easy to then say something like "much of the class is excited about their potential jobs as meisters and weapons now, so death decides to give the separation test early to sort the class into NOT and EAT."
Granted, in the canon, they would have decided which class they wanted to be in one day one with the choice needing to be finalized within the first few weeks, but... Creative license and all that.
This is a roleplay, and regardless of how this lines up with the timeline of the canon, it's not strictly necessary to follow the canon. Doing so would have already set us into either EAT or NOT, but if you either: follow canon lore but with some changes, or claim that this year DWMA has a new approach to see if it works better, then it would be easy to fix the current problem.

Sonic '06 came out in 2006. It was also flawless.

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

That's the issue. We don't have the physical capability, which means that any other "colors" could be named whatever anyone wanted, but it has no correlation to anything we see.

Interesting. I'll check it out.

Bleh. I'm not capable of arguing the point I'm trying to.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>

Weeb. We all know Sonic '06 was the absolute best, only matched by the great Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. Version 1.0, of course. Updates spoil everything.

There were [5817249503] things wrong with your comment.

Science to back it up?

MAS?

<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

I figured. Humble Bundle is a great service though, and I just bought the third tier. I can't wait to get PC Mean Bean Machine.

We can see very few colors. We can see colors that are not in the light spectrum. Ergo, it is entirely possible and possibly plausible for there to be colors that we can only conceptualize at present.

Mentally Advanced Series. By the same guys, and the greatest MLP parody thing ever.

@KatherinWinter @NachoBachoPacho @Demonic Angel @BlueJayBaseball

Major problem about the mission and hunting thing.. Their in the NOT class if you haven't forgotten... which aren't allowed to take missions, and such. They pretty much just take classes and live regular lives in the town. considering NOT is for primarly for non-combatants. so most don't deal with Kishin related activities. only EAT members do, same for various combat related events at the school. Since everyone is in NOT that means they pretty much just have regular every day student lives with the addition of learning about meister and demon weapon related things.

@NachoBachoPacho Maybe recovering something. Most of the soul eater missions involve kinshins but I want something else for this mission.
@Demonic Angel Everyone seemed be off doing their own thing. Which is fine as long as they post but I don't want anyone getting bored because they have nothing to post.
@BlueJayBaseballcould be interesting.

Could just be "accompany the EAT class on a field action and observe."
That would allow for characters that are desperate to fight and don't care for rules to sneak off and join in, and would be a plausible thing for the NOT class to do.

I've already got all the good Sonic games.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

Scientific discovery and theory doesn't apply that way here. We have the light spectrum and the color wheel; there is no physical way to conceptualize more.

Darn. That show was great.

I disagree.

Ikr. MAS is still ongoing though.
<Snipped quote by DarkwolfX37>

If it can't be represented as a pigment, it's not a color.

Why is that?

It can theoretically there's just no known way to do it yet. Sort of like clear is a color that can't be actualized.

Their old artist is too busy so now they have a team of artists working together but they just don't have any plans for a new one atm.
