Plus, that's a single-universe setting even. They didn't even go to a single multiverse. Though setting it up like they did and trying to get the whole site involved is really something we should have thought of before and tried. They beat us to that punch.
I mean, if we could come up with a more effective explanation. Universes without a concept of darkness are difficult so this basically gives him every universe and makes him pretty high up there. Tier 5ish at least, maybe getting up towards "not okay" levels. If we just did a sort of schrodinger's approach to it then I could see it.

That's Dark Power. I'm just asking for the sake of clarification because "dark energy" can mean anything from the effect of weird gravity that we don't understand to implying literal energy from darkness.
Talking in general though, not in dimension specific contexts. I mentioned before that if we did dimensionally specific scenarios, you can justify anything.
This could be another one of the theories explaining one of his powers.
Well the main gist of it, seeing as he is darkness incarnate, he is Darkness, where ever that absence of light may be, he is there. He is the will of Darkness, an extension of it and as so anywhere there is darkness there he is. Absence of light = him where ever that may be, in any dimension where light is absent, even in some small parts. So basically he is just the concentrated will of Darkness. If it chooses so he can be focused on another part of the whole and reappear there.
And I expected every living being to have a projection of their spirit/soul on some parallel realm to the physical one. What happens to said creature when it leaves its physical dimension to a dimension without a parallel spiritual realm? Can people and things live without their soul?

Depends on the dimension. There are plenty of them without any ethereal factors, in which case the "soul" is just the "mind" used in context of will. In those with ethereal factors, it varies greatly. A soul can range from the ethereal heart to the spirit, itself the ethereal body of someone, to a singular entirety of an entity in ethereal context.
