Current Smarty Jones... Just... Consider removing the 'Smarty' part of your name if you're going to try and kick up a side-argument here, there's no reason for that. Otherwise, let's just move on.

People don't tend to think about rules when in disputes. Instead, just point out that whoever stops arguing first gets to see the other make a fool of themselves if they going after it all stopped.

The best part about being on the Guild this long is that nowadays, I can sit back and chuckle as the newcomers try to start a fight an instead get all the old hands ganging up on them. Popcorn for me.

Got my first covid vaccination today. I was terrified, but the staff there were very well trained and things went well.

Every few minutes playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, I tear up from the memories. It's not often you get a game that truly pulls at the same heartstrings as your childhood playthrough's once did.

Another point to Russell's semblance; if he does it, then it means he has hope. He has hope he'll be found, that he'll be saved, that he'll be helped. Sure, the Grimm might go away, or whoever is attacking him, but he'll hope to have someone there, hope to survive. If he wakes up alone, that'd be fucking terrifying for him, and the hope that someone would be there would be shattered.

Plus, if he does it and is for whatever reason knocked down a hill or cliff or something, and wakes up down there... Well, how the hell does he figure out where to go? He knows roughly where he went, so he could roughly know his way bac- Oh god. What if he wakes up alone, but something stood on his leg and broke it?
Yeahhhh, Russell's time would not be very fun indeed.
@datadogie Or, if you're a paranoid asshole. "WE should be sure." And just proceed to stab the defenseless body a bunch. Or burn it.

Edit: It honestly seems like it would fit... a Possum more. But eeh.

The worst part is that he has to wake up before he dies, if that's the case. He'll wake up and in that quantum-second of life feel all that pain before he dies. Ghastly.

I think a good way to prevent his team from abandoning him if he folds is if he tells us about his semblance and how it works, maybe demonstrate it? And if I read Russell's semblance correctly, we COULD theoretically shoot or hit a non-vital area to see if it'll do anything, since it increases his body's durability as a way to test if he's folding or dead. I mean it would probably hurt like hell when he unfolded, but as you put it, better to be alive and in pain.

Telling his team how it works is good enough, because they'll see him lifeless and pick him up.

The problem with demonstrating the semblance is that he won't make it to class that day. Or perhaps even the day after. The time it takes to regain control over his body is not definitive. He can't exactly practise it, either - both for the length he'll be out whilst trying to practise regaining control over himself and for the distress and pain that he'll feel after awakening. Shoot him to test his survival, and he'll feel even more pain. That's not taking into account the fact he will hate you for a very long time. And cry.
Another problem I've thought about with Russell's folding is that he is pretty much dead. Anyone coming to help him may just think he died, and either carry him home thinking he's a body, leave him behind and thus he'll have to fight and struggle to get home alone, or the worst case, "Damn, Russell is dead. Let's bury him here." And just buries him before he can "unfold".
And then there is Russell, sweet, shy, young and adorable. I can't get over how adorable he looks in the appearance, clothes and all.
NO ANIME.

Damn. Was going to use the below image, it fits in perfectly with what my character looks like as well as the traditional apparel of the race he belongs to (Zenohunts):

Honestly, now that I think of it, playing an AI would be cool. :P But considering we can only play Humanoid races, I suppose that's out of the question. ;3
@datadogie Surprised I'm not the only with a Feline.

Meow meow. Felines have a lot more to sway them, in my opinion, so it makes them fun to play. Faunus have shown to have some characteristics of their mother animal, an example being Blake following a laser pen in Volume... 2? So yeah - catnip, yarn, and the funny fact that he's afraid of mice, which he should realistically want to poke.

Then again, I was tempted to do a fox at first, then remembered I had that adorable picture and was like "Yup. Cat."

@datadogie Well done on Russel, I especially like his background and personality. Consider me very curious about what the full extent of "Folding" will do, as it seems your semblance has a good deal of potential. Something tells me he would have interesting interactions with a certain lupine faunus...

Thank you! And yeah, it'll be interesting to see Russell and Kaldyr interact (if Russell doesn't squirm his way out first).
