@Yankee Happy to see your interest. To answer your question, unless you're particularly skilled in negotiation or subterfuge, it's unlikely that an investigation into Satan's disappearance will be totally bloodless. There are likely many parties that are best served if Satan is never found, and they would need to be contended with.

To clarify what I mean by Ultra-Violence, I mostly mean it as an aesthetic of the overall setting and story. The players are likely to be among the infernal elite, and as a result are a cut above the masses of Hell's inhabitants, and humans are basically below their notice. The barest exertion of strength will reduce most foes to bloody chunks, and you may expect to reap death tolls in the thousands, if not millions. It's gratuitous because, like everything in Hell, it is mean to shock, horrify, and numb the senses.

It's worth noting though, that demons are not really evil; they- like angels, as many of them originally were- don't have a concept of right or wrong. Morality is a concept that only applies to Mankind, who imbibed the fruit of forbidden knowledge. Demons do as they will, obeying their whims and fulfilling their own desires as it suits them, and this takes many different forms among their multitudes.

I hope this was enlightening.
I would be interested in either of these, or both if you'd have me. Drop me a line when they get rolling, yeah?
@FiroIV Anything I could expound upon about the setting or characters for you? Just to keep things lively.

R E I G N I N H E L L

By mortal reckoning, it has been over six-thousand years since almighty GOD cast her rebel angels out of Heaven and into the pit of Hell. In the time since, the Fallen have been ruled by Satan, instigator of the War in Heaven and mightiest among their number. While his power and cruelty have kept the legions of Hell at heel for millennia, the Prince of Darkness has disappeared mysteriously, and the Throne of Hell sits empty. Hell's demonic inhabitants have not sat idle in his absence, and many already battle or scheme to seize the ice-throne of Cocytus for themselves. Meanwhile, the world of mankind sits on the precipice of oblivion, the Earth dark and poisoned, and human extinction looming close. Mankind has taken up desperate measures to save itself, or maintain control over their kin, and as a result, demons have never before walked the Earth in greater numbers. It is thought by many that whomever can assume control of the Earth's billions of human souls will easily be able to conquer any rival. As Hell revolts and the Earth slowly dies, Heaven sits silent, with neither GOD nor her loyal angels heard from in centuries.

Abandon all hope.

Hullo. This is something I dreamed up to link together a few inspirational properties that I thought would mesh together quite well. The likes of DOOM (2016) and the comic Kill Six Billion Demons are the foremost influence here, as well as the artistic works of Francine Bridge and Zdzisław Beksiński. A good handful of elements have been borrowed from White Wolf's Demon: the Fallen, and the overall tone of horrifically violent animesque battle between demons is drawn from Devilman Crybaby.

In this roleplay, you will play as one of the 72 demons named in the Lesser Key of Solomon (for reasons I will explain later), who is left to their own devices in the anarchy following the inexplicable disappearance of Satan from his throne in Hell. Most of your fellow demons have reacted to his absence by instigating a power struggle the likes of which unseen since the original War in Heaven. It is up to you to either quell this anarchy until the rightful Prince of Hell's return, seek him out to solve the mystery of his disappearance, or attempt to seize the throne for yourself. Complicating the matter is the current state of Earth, which in a too-near future is on the brink of ecological and societal collapse; ripe pickings for a demon powerful enough to take control of mankind for their own ends.

I'm limiting character choice to the 72 Goetic demons purely to introduce some semblance of structure to character creation; "demon" is a very vague concept, and I feel that this will guide players closer to what I envision the tone of the RP to be. That is not to say that you must depict them as strictly as possible, I'm not forcing anyone to play as a lion head with five legs, but your interpretation of your chosen demon should still read as an interpretation, and not a wholly original creation. I'll generally allow reservations on a first-come basis, but be aware that claiming a powerful Prince such as Bael comes with both advantages and disadvantages, which may not be apparent right away.

I think that's enough content for an interest check, so let me know if you have any questions or interest or what have you.

See you in Hell!
Blech. Midnighter it is then. Apollo may follow after some manner of resolution to the former's storyline.
@Lord Wraith Okay, so a limit of 1-2 "headliners" as it were. So I could theoretically play Midnighter & Apollo if I felt so inclined.

Did you have a preference between Midnighter and Darkfire before I start on an app?
I must have missed that skimming over the character list. Jeeze, someone claimed all of the Titans? I thought there was a 1-2 character limit.

Actually I was basically planning to play Ryand'r so it shouldn't be a big deal. Could join the Guardians as a stand-in for the Omega Men.
Might take another crack at this to jump in at the second season. First idea is for a male Starfire, sort of like a teenage Vegeta. The other idea is just Midnighter. Any preference between the two?
Yeah I'm just on vacation rn. Thinking about my character being kind of a trolley problem hero, very willing to sacrifice lives to save more lives. Comes with the territory of being a cannibal blood drinker.
What would you say the limit is for antiheroes? Planning like a kooky space vampire sort of guy.
