@LetMeDoStuff

I quoted the wrong post. my bad.
@Lmpkio
Are tactical nukes an option? Turn the planet into scorched glass and then land?

considering that that is godzilla, your basically just feeding him with all that radioactive fallout. I recommend summoning a bigger fish, like Cthulhu, to stop him.

I have no idea why goggle docs did not catch that spelling mistake, seeing as PRGuild goes.

Also yeah at 100M your only going to hit stuff like super-heavy tanks reliably and even then only if there's no other prominent conducting surfaces in the way. basically 100M is in lab conditions, in the field there's probably going to be stuff in the way or stress induced miss aiming.

@Conscripts

the date thing was me being indecisive about her age and forgetting to update the date to the latest one. thanks for pointing it out.

I imagine if they both charge with her at the font suppressing the tank they might be able to improve the odds of getting his payload there with them both in one piece. will probably need a bunch of training and practice to make sure he doesn't get zapped and she doesn't get exploded.

Great, I'll accept that.

Only concern is the range. I'd imagine at 100m it would be nearly impossible to hit anyone, but as long as you can balance it, we'll be fit as a fiddle.

Also in your background you said "Natzis", it's actually Nazis. That's more of a nit-pick though. Move it into the Character Tab when you are ready!

@Dynamo Frokane

I assumed the above was really met to be directed at me.

so here is my kind of WIP submission. sorry that it's taken a while.

I like giant monsters and horrendous beasts that I can kill by shooting at their bright yellow spots. And I guess the whole group shares this feeling or we wouldn't be here

I going to be stabbing the spots and maybe end up getting dragged after the beasts by a poorly timed harpoon, but on the whole, yes.

Arra had been kind of ignorant to how the land walking aliens had done hunting initially and as a result had initially gone out on her own to the closest planet to Aquaria that wasn’t populated and just started seeing if she could hunt things. It had turned out there was a very good reason as to why people did not live there and she had lost a hand to a horde of vengeful giant ant-like wildlife. It was the doctor who had replaced it that told her about the GAHL and, after getting her hands on some slightly more modern equipment, she had wasted no time in signing up. Looking back on it, it was lucky she was not in space jail for poaching or dead. She had done a lot of reading while she had been getting used to that new hand, and was confident she knew what she was doing now.

Now she was rather awkwardly laying across a couple of the seats in the passenger room like one of those french girls, as her body did not take well to biped designed chairs. They gave her cramp and she would sometimes fall out of them. Still, she was excited to be here and was looking forwards to working with this motley crew of landwalkers.

She activated her 4 waist mounted robotic tentacle limbs and sued them to stand, carrying her body in such a way that her tail was just above the ground. It wasn’t the fastest angle for getting around, but she found bipeds appreciated her being orientated the same was as they were. Looking like you were laying on your back or belly while talking to them seemed to come off as rude.

She had most of her possessions with her on the Fauld she wore around her waist, her supply kit was round the back and the harpoon and dart guns were on either side in holsters. Her only other possessions where the glaive she had strapped to her back (its blade carefully covered by a plastic sheath to avoid accidents) and a small suitcase containing all the things an Aquarian would need to make landlocked accommodation more comfortable. This primarily consisted of an inflatable swimming pool and a load of salt. She also had a couple of pills that would let her use a swimming pool without being poisoned by the chlorine and freshwater, if they had one that was. She hoped so, she relay didn't want to suffer from muscle atrophy in her tail as a result of lack of use.

With her things all gathered she made her way out of the craft after Quinn, the undulating stride of her mobility harness carrying her effortlessly along the corridors of the station.

Rita's attempt to save the woman were cut short as the lightning bolt lady launched herself out the lake with her magic. The blast of water that followed her egress launched Rita up in the air with after her.

”I’m glad your ok”

She yelled as Anemone whizzed past. Rita herself was sent cartwheeling through the air, landing gracelssly in the shallow near the beach. Fortunately her thick skull took the brunt of the impact with the lakebed. She scrambled fruitlessly for a few moments before pulling her head out of the sand, mud and water, shaking it a bit and spitting out the water and muck that had gotten into her mouth.

While she was coming to her senses she looked around, trying to gauge how the fight with the toads was going. The fact that there were only 4 people, including her, who had actually engaged the warty menace was a little worrying.

The Eclipse as a whole where getting increasingly agitated, and had engaged in intense monitoring of all the planets communications printed the picture of a place ready to blow and the fact that there was an “biological anomaly” at the dig site was frankly rather terrifying. Yet they couldn’t leave, their FTL had been reliant on the gates and it was difficult to get parts to upgrade a it on a tiny colony like this. So short of trying to steal the Scythian they were stuck here with the threat of whatever was in the dig site. In response, they had begun to crack open the various hiding places in the ship where they kept the weapons.

Some of these where as legal as the ones they had on their ship, but most were the result of nerves tinkering driven by the danger of the times and one was all the armaments that had been striped off the crab lifter. Affixing the crab and ghosts was going to take a while, but the 3.5 m tall Liandry’s mechs were kitted out and ready to rumble and the Apis had gotten out their stingers. Stingers in this case being 6 cm long laser rifles or 3 cm laser pistols. Utterly useless on their own, each Apis could hold 2 rifles or 4 pistols and with 20+ Apis all focusing fire on a single target they could actually be pretty nasty. There were a few pistol versions being carried by the odd Apis ‘guard’ already, but each able bodied Apis was now making sure they had a bandolier with their 2/4 firearms strapped to it.
cool, because as funny as it would have been to see the Apis try and use ballistic weapons with a caliber capable of hurting anything while every shot sent them flying off in the opposite direction would have been funny the first time, legions of flashlight wielding space bees will never get old.
