Welcome to Recollections: The Coven, another RP set in the supernatural horror/urban fantasy universe known as the Recollections universe. Set after Vivid Recollections where the world eating eldritch abomination known as the Glutton was defeated and a new timeline was created free of its influence - with the side effect of magic returning. This creates a wide range of different ramifications as new beings and problems turn the system upside down.

And one of those problems is the Coven. They started out as an idea over the internet; a group of people who got together to talk about magic and their abilities - with problems that come from them. However, they eventually started getting ideas and formed their own group of wannabe witches. Their reasons for joining, and well working with, the Coven vary as they each have their own problem. However, the main thing that keeps them from being a threat is their sheer incompetence, backstabbing, and disorganized leadership. Everyone wants to steer the Coven in their own direction and it doesn't work the way they want. However, they eventually run afoul of one of the universe's actual threats and awaken a bigger threat. They'll have to come together to stop the bigger problem because hey, they live here too!

This story will be an urban-fantasy story that will cast a certain light on "magic" while leaving it ambiguous whether or not it's truly magic or not. The storyline will have elements of superpowers, urban fantasy, horror, and more. The RP will be character-driven and heavily guided by the cast; how the Coven turns out should be a natural progression of events rather than it being forced. Like other recollection RPs it'll have it's own pretentious thematic and in this case, it'll be Reaching out. In the case of the cast should have a problem that drives them to join the Coven and tolerate their bullshit in attempts to get what they want. Whether or not they get what they want is up to them. Like Vivid Recollections, it's secondary themes will be Memory and Emotion.

APPEARANCE

When Taylor walks into a room, she usually has a constant aura of "don't fuck with me" and probably for good reason. She has a resting bitch face that'd put even the angriest of people off and usually talks low and rarely makes eye contact. Taylor has the aura of a venomous snake, the kind that'd kill you if you fuck with it without a second thought. Though in the blink of an eye that aura can change to a vibrant, wacky one that would draw people in. Which makes it looks like she's an utter tryhard which isn't that far off.

In terms of appearance, Taylor tries not to be the prettiest princess. Her hair is a mess and she doesn't bother with feminine hygiene. She usually looks like the kind of person who'd get out of bed without a care in the world. Some people get the impression that Taylor's a bit of a "tomboy" (a phrase that Taylor vehemently denies). It shows in her gruff voice (which is from years of smoking), her rather muscular body that lacks curves, and aggressive attitude. Taylor has been blessed with a relatively fast metabolism and she supplements it by hitting up the gym and working out. The girl doesn't quite work out the right way but her legs are very well toned and defined due to running track and working out a lot in high school. The girl ain't a fitness nut, but she knows the importance of being in great shape.

In terms of height, she's just an inch below the female average and in terms of the chest she's 30A and she often eschews a bra because of how flat-chested she is. Though she can at least say that she has a nice ass. What kinda helps swing her back toward female is her hair. She has long and wild shoulder-length hair that's dyed a variety of different shades of blonde. Because of her hair, you'll probably miss her more well-toned aspects and it's nice in firey. The girl is Caucasian and honestly, that's all that's important for Taylor. She's not the kind of person to dig into her ancestry because she quite honestly doesn't give a shit. Though she has some fairly heavy scarring on her body due to being attacked by a monster out in the woods north of Tampa. There are some cuts and slashes all over her body, even some bite marks.

Taylor's fairly obsessed with the punk aesthetic, so that is something she adapted well. From her short hair to her makeup (usually she has on eyeshadow), to the piercings all over her body (her cheek, nose, ear, belly button, and nipples, are pierced). To her attire, she dresses to get a point across - other than that she likes punk - she wants to look tough, and look good. She dresses like a stereotypical tough-girl by wearing studded jackets, heavy boots, and more. Sometimes she dresses even lighter in things like t-shirts and jeans, and with her resting bitch face alone she gets across her point. Ironically enough, she doesn't have any tattoos at all.

PSYCHOLOGY

"Piece of you for a piece of me, sugar."

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Taylor wants to forge an identity for herself and do anything in her power to deal with this inner struggle. She's two people that have been combined into one person and now she wants to be something... new. Taylor wants to help people, no matter the personal cost as she feels that's the key to her happiness. Though, at the moment, Taylor wants to protect the world from the supernatural.

WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Honestly, Taylor is looking for companionship in this cold, cold, world. It's been a while since she rolled with a group of Extra-Normals and she's longing for that experience again. She wants to be like the old her.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Taylor believes that everyone has happiness out there, waiting for them, and most importantly, the decency of human kindness. She believes that it is good for everyone, and unhappy or bad people are the people who need kindness the most. She hates the self-sustaining cycle of rage and hatred that consumes so many people (Even though she's pretty angry herself), so Taylor will do anything to break it. Taylor believes that true happiness comes from helping people.

SECRETS ⫻ Taylor is an open book with nothing to hide, anything you want to know about her she'll probably answer with a chipper smile. Not even her encounter with the Glutton. As for other people's secrets, she usually shows a bit more respect.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Taylor is openly bisexual and is often finding herself flirting with both genders, regardless of race or any of that. One time Taylor flirted with a nun. It's hard to tell if it's legitimate or not, a lot of the time Taylor likes to joke around. Though she's pretty loose and only really says it's for stress relief.

FEARS ⫻ Taylor fears the things that are out there in the dark because she's seen them. They're scary. They're out there. And they're waiting to strike. A part of Taylor is starting to realize that one of them is going to end the world.

REPUTATION ⫻ Taylor is known as the weirdo that nearly burned down her school back in Port Richey and the nut who went out and got attacked by some animal.

FLAWS ⫻ Taylor has no clue where one side of her memories end and the others begin and she's desperate to forge a new identity for herself. Taylor is very sullen and withdrawn, and usually goes to any length to feel something. Usually, it's by drinking excessively, partying, or throwing herself at the nearest person. Taylor is also incredibly spiteful and has a very short fuse. One wrong thing, one wrong push of her buttons will cause her to break out into a fit.

June Summers backstory

The first half of Taylor is a girl named June Summers.

She's a native of Florida that was born in St. Petersburg whose family moved about thirty minutes away to New Port Richey because they wanted to get away from the hectic city life (though, the family was racist and felt there were too many colored people in St. Petersburg). Small town living was definitely not June's thing, but she definitely made the most of it. She was the middle child to two sisters, both of whom were much different from her. Her mother was incredibly busy with her job, to the point where she wasn't around much for June's, or her sisters, youth. Thus, they lacked that strong feminine figure and had no choice but to fall on her father. They were pushed towards sports and spent plenty of time in his auto garage.

June's school life wasn't spectacular either. She wasn't exactly a social butterfly in school. She was a bit of a loner because she felt that she didn't exactly mesh well with the other kids. So, of course, to them, she was some freak! She was also picked on for being "strange", so that did wonders for her. Fortunately, June could always fall back to her family for comfort. But what it did do for June was make her quite vindictive. Deep down, she wanted to get back at them, but she was told that it'd be foolish to try to do so. So she kept it inside of herself. In high school, she did plenty of various books and debate clubs. However, her father was a very relaxed man when it came to parenting. Perhaps too lax. The sisters were free to do as they pleased. June's sisters got involved in some bad crowds. The kind of crowds that like to go wild, hit up on drugs, commit thefts and vandalism, and jaywalk. They were certainly what you would call young delinquents, and they loved it. That taste of danger was something else. June was far more relaxed at that age, so she didn't exactly rush out to get her thrills from crime. All her thrills came from her books.

Though June had two friends, Magnolia (or Maggy) Flowers Rose and Haley Joseph... two other eccentric weirdos that were in high school. Eventually, they became close friends and became a trio, with June more or less being the leader of the group, Magnolia being the wildcard, and Haley being the brawn and voice of reason. Though, a little incident happened that caused June to Awakened... in her last year of high school, she was the victim of a particularly vicious prank by some "popular" clique. While she was in the bathroom one day they dumped a bucket of mud, dog shit, and other nasty stuff on June. It absolutely ruined her day and the sheer... humiliation, of it all caused June to run away. She didn't realize it until she was outside, but she was on fire.

And so was the entire school.

Oops.

They couldn't link anything to June but the girls, then on, stayed away from June. She earned the nickname "Carrie" after everything was said and done. She told her two best friends about what happened and they revealed that they had their own encounters with the supernatural. With Magnolia apparently making a "pact" with an Apparition and Haley discovering that she was a red Adept. Magnolia had a crazy idea that they use their abstractions to become monster hunters. June was bored, in need of things to practice on, so that was what they did. In the dead of the silent night they went out and battled some apparitions... and somehow won.

It all went horribly wrong a week or two before the start of the storyline and they ran into a woman in black robe and deerskull... and it ended in a curb stomp for the group and June herself was nearly killed by the woman. She was fading away...

... Before she heard a voice in her head.

The other half of Taylor is Claire O'Sullivan.

Claire was once a good girl, many moons ago. She had hope, she believed in something. She was just a native of Farmer Hill, the daughter of a diner owner, and a waitress. Everything was good... up until the diner was closed down due to running out of money. Then the O'Sullivan's idyllic dream went sour, and they moved to a trailer park in Mason Square. The downgrade tore the O'Sullivan family apart, and Claire's parents turned to alcohol to cope. And they weren't the happy kind of drunks. They were the violent kind of drunks that turned their rage on anything they could.

Claire was too young to understand alcohol, but she had no choice but to take the beatings with a straight face. Might as well, because it wasn't like Claire had any other options. She would go to school and lie about what happened. Eventually, Claire became the punching bag for all sorts of abuse, since her parents had no one else to vent their rage towards. And there wasn't anything Claire could do to stop them. She'd be homeless or dead if she tried to fight back, but this planted rage in Claire. Rage towards her parents, and rage towards herself due to being so weak.

There was some comfort in life; her grandparents. She went to stay with them as much as she could since they only lived a short walk away at their ranch. She stayed there long as she could, as much. Coming up with excuses after excuses... until they got suspicious, and called child services. This was the relief that Claire was looking for, and she spilled everything they did. She was promptly removed from their household, and placed in the care of her grandparents. With her parents instructed to never come anywhere near her, or her grandparents.

This was like the dream that Claire was desperately looking for... only that the damage was already done. She thought that it was over, but the mental damage was already done. She couldn't help but think about them constantly, and it hurt her in every way. As she matured and developed, she lashed out and eventually sought solace wherever she possibly could. It started with hanging out with the wrong crowd, trying drugs, to experimenting with the same gender. In the end... it became a habit that shaped her. Into a hedonist that wants to do anything to forget about the past, and erase those thoughts.

Though, there were a few people that were able to keep her on the straight and narrow, people that reminded her of what she was deep down. The first person was Zoey Gray, a girl that Claire had known since she was a little girl - before the abuse started. Zoey and Claire were inseparable, and even with the changes, Zoey stuck with Claire. Their friendship was incredibly close (to the point where people wondered if they were seeing each other), but Claire wanted to keep it platonic. Because she felt like Zoey was too good for her - case in point, Zoey was beginning to emulate Claire.

The other person, who was more surprising, was Britney Williams, who was one of the town's princesses. Their friendship was formed by Britney's desire to rebel, and they became friends. Briefly, and secretly, they both became much closer than friends, but they drifted apart rather quickly. However, they remained in touch, remembering the fun they had.

Claire got through school, and wondered about her future... and decided to follow her long lost wish of becoming a nurse. Her grandparents had already saved up enough money for her to get through school, or at least try to, so she got into Grand Ridge Academy. She has been attending for a few months, trying to get her life back in order, but yet, she's finding it hard not to fall back onto old habits. She still had problems, and she still looked for ways to ease the pain, anything to make it hurt less. Having sex with her classmates made it hard to shake the "town bicycle" reputation she had before.

She still improved, however. At parties, she went a little lighter on drinking and wasn't as easy as she once was. With the help of Zoey Gray at her side, she had her little coach, and everything was going great. Then the semester ended and Zoey signed up for a camping trip that Grand Ridge was hosting that was supposed to take place over the summer, and Claire wondered, why not...

Claire had been through it all, from the massacre at the camp to Awakening, but at Hillview High, she met her end at the hands of the Glutton. She was tortured by the thing endlessly until the Glutton was defeated and she was freed from the thing. However, there wasn't enough room for everyone killed by the thing to be resurrected so she ended sacrificing her spot so Zoey can survive. At least, that's what Claire told Zoey.

In actuality, Claire had made a deal with the Hound. A deal that she didn't fulfill and when the rest of the Awakened were resurrected she, unfortunately, was not apart of them.

However, that wasn't the end of Claire's story... she was given one last chance as an Apparition given her lingering rage and bitterness was enough to bring her back. Claire's apparition was one about protecting people from those who cannot protect themselves. Eventually, Claire ended up in a town in Florida known as New Port Richey and met a girl named Magnolia Flowers Rose and the two formed a "pact". Whatever the fuck they called it, but Claire willingly allowed herself to be sealed so the girl may use her abstraction.

Inspired by that weirdo Ghost Hunter girl Kimberly, Magnolia, and two of her friends decided to become wannabe Ghost Hunters. Though one member of their little wannabe ghost hunter trio was named June April Summers and she was almost the splitting image of Claire. She was a wannabe punk girl out to make a name for herself and was the town bicycle. It was strange, almost like destiny that the two came together - she was even an Awakened with pyromancery. That said, they fought various Apparitions and other weirdos around New Port Richey. Claire was happy to lend her power.

That was when they came across her... the woman in the black robe and deer-skull. She had killed somebody and in her rage, she turned her attention to the little trio of ghost hunters. She attacked them and nearly killed June and in a desperate attempt to save her, Claire had Magnolia break the seal and release her. Claire then went into June's body and adjoined with her to save what was left of her soul.

She saw the Hound again, staring at her.

The Hound turned and left. Almost as if there was nothing to take anymore. The adjoining caused the two to merge mentally and almost form a new being altogether... And they called themselves Taylor, to symbolize it. Though, Taylor realized that she lost some parts of June. Probably because she was on the verge of death.

Taylor realized that her new abstraction was a combination of the two's abilities, Taylor's pyromancery, and Claire's telekinetic strength. However, the ability mutated and allowed her to create barriers made out of a burning fire. The rest of the wannabe ghost-hunters broke up and Taylor ran into an actual Ghost Hunter: Kimberly Walton. She remembered the girl back from Farmer Hill when she was a weirdo and explained everything to her. The girl was awestruck that her old friend was back, but Taylor requested that she keeps this away from everyone else. The new and improved Taylor wanted to help people and protect them from the scary world that was out there. Though she was longing for an adventure like Farmer Hill.

Kimberly told her about a Coven of witches that were in Tampa and asked Taylor to keep an eye on them. And Taylor agreed, it might be fun.

SKILLS & TALENTS

"Piss me off again and next time you get stabbed I'm putting a bandaid on it, sugar."

Medical-Knowledge ⫻ Taylor knows her way around a first-aid kit and she'll patch up a wound in record time. The girl, somehow, knows a lot about the academic side of medicine almost as if she's trying to become a nurse. She knows many wounds and how to treat them.

Extra-Normal Experience ⫻ Taylor is by no means an expert but she knows a fair bit about the Extra-Normal, mainly the Awakened.

Sneaky ⫻ Years of acting out requires years of hiding. There were several times where Taylor had to dip and duck from someone she robbed or someone's house she vandalized. She turned it into an art. Even if she got caught, she can run!

Tagging ⫻ A little thing Taylor picked up from one of her friends was her talent with spraypainting. She has become an expert in tagging any surface and creating art from nothing.

Drummer ⫻ Taylor played a drummer in her school band and is pretty talented. And she likes to rub in people's faces that because she thinks that playing the guitar is overrated.

EXTRA-NORMAL ABILITIES

TYPE ⫻ Aberrant (Adjoined)

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Fire-Barriers, the ability to create flaming barriers out of telekinetic energy and fire blasts of concussive fire.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ The Fire-Barriers is a mixture of Claire's telekinetic-shell abstraction and Taylor's pyromancery. It formed a powerful ability, even though it shifted a bit from the personal usage that Claire used it for and became a barrier. Possibly to reflect her new attitude towards protecting people. At the tips of her fingers, Taylor can create massive barriers that seem to be made out of orange energy that is engulfed in bright raging flames. The barrier is usually a simple shape: either a square or circle, albeit Taylor can manipulate it's size somewhat. The largest she can make the barrier is around thirty feet in diameter and usually, the barrier is flat and transparent but she can do stuff like curve it. The Barriers are immensely durable, strong enough to withstand a barrage of bullets, and still be able to take another one. Take the strikes of an extra-normal being fairly well without even budging and Taylor brags about it being able to survive a strike from the Hound. Once the barrier is created, Taylor can move it and use it as a weapon by slamming it against an opponent at high-speeds or use it to push back a particularly strong foe. The barriers are burning hot and will burn on contact and spread the fire around the environment. As a side effect, Taylor is immune to the heat generated from her barrier.

Concussive Fire-Blasts ⫻ A technique that Taylor has been able to work out by condensing her barriers into a dense, layered, orb she can use it as a fireball. It's a particularly hard-hitting attack that'd make cracks in concrete and knock somebody directly onto their ass. Along with burning the hell out of them. It's her go-to move for fighting and she can create several of these blasts of various sizes. At the very most she has been able to make it the size of a basketball.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Taylor can sense the auras of those who have been injured from about twenty meters away. The more injured they are, the brighter their aura glows, and that allows her to find them from further away.

LIMITS ⫻ Taylor can only create barriers within arms-length, so if somebody is far away then they're shit out of luck. She can move the barrier but it's only towards and away from herself, so she can't say move the barrier up or down unless it's already at that angle. At the very most Taylor can send the barrier up to fifty feet away from herself. The Emotional-Fields stop her from crushing Extra-Normal beings by disrupting moving her barriers. Taylor can create one barrier at a time, but she has worked out she can create many fireblasts. The barrier also doesn't defend against certain attacks (nonsolid attacks like liquor, air, lasers, etc, etc) but can defend against fire and solid attacks well. Also, the barrier requires stamina, and defending against attacks burns that stamina.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ As you may have expected, water cuts through the barrier like a hot knife through butter. Throwing water on the barrier will create a hole in the barrier that she'll have to expend energy to create the barrier. Drenching the whole barrier in water will destroy the whole thing and end up knocking Taylor out. The barrier doesn't stop nonsolid attacks too good either and they damage the barrier a lot more. The shields getting damaged sends a mental backlash to Taylor. It starts as a basic headache, but if the shield gets destroyed, it'll be so bad that she'll be screaming in pain. While Taylor is immune to heat that doesn't say much for her allies, the heat will eventually fry them if she isn't careful. Of course, Taylor is only immune to the heat made by her barriers and outside heat and flames are still dangerous. As is the smoke generated by anything she sets on fire but this is rare.

He was one of the few people there who helped defeat the Glutton (and gained friends along the way) and knows a lot about the world of the Extra-Normal. Not everything, but enough to put him above a novice. Muai Thai ⫻ Justin took some Muay Thai courses when he was younger to help him defend himself from a group of bullies. He'd say that the training paid off because he's a competent fighter, able to use all of his skills to take down even the toughest of opponents. But, he's out of practice due to one; not training or even practicing, and two; not fighting. Skateboarding ⫻ One thing that Justin excelled at was skateboarding. Learning from a friend, he became an expert in it and could pull off some sick tricks. His balance and precision are also pretty good because of it. Cantonese ⫻ Because Justin grew up in a primarily Chinese household, he learned how to speak their language - though it comes second to him, he can still maintain a conversation.

Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "Pretty fly for an Asian guy." Things changed a lot for the young Liao. Back in the yesteryears, Justin was a lot more loud, rowdy, and full of energy... and after the defeat of the Glutton and losing several of his friends he learned to slow down and take in the moment and assess things. And this shows in how Justin walks... he takes large steps but he always has his eye open, keeping them on every person that walks by. Usually, as he walks with his hands in his pockets, but he still has that devil-may-care attitude about him as he always has a smile on his face. Justin usually is friendly and has an open and outward demeanor about him and rarely if ever shouts. Fortunately, the young Liao doesn't draw a whole lot of attention to himself. Though he is a little bit tall at six-one, and that is only because he inherited his family's monstrous height (his grandmother was somehow six-two). Which is surprising given that he's way higher than the height average for Chinese men. Even before Justin, unfortunately, encountered the Glutton, he put a lot of focus into his physical fitness and personal health. Before he tried to get big looking to attract the ladies, but now he focuses on developing practical lean muscle. This shows that he's not a bodybuilder but you can tell that he definitely lifts, but his legs and disproportionately muscular due to the fact that Justin never skips leg day. Also running from an Eldritch Abomination has taught him that he needs to get good at running. Due to this workout routine, you can tell that Justin ain't the kind of kid to laze around. Justin is, in case you're blind, Chinese. He has an off-white skin tone with yellow overtones, and it's coated with scars and other marks from a lifetime of doing the wrong thing. Ironically enough, Justin never went through with getting a tattoo due to a fear of needles. Justin has two sigils: on his back behind his right shoulder is the sigil of a phoenix. On the back of both of his hands are the sigils of a diamond.

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Justin's primary goal is to honor his grandmother's last wishes and stop the illusive Thorton Walters. He loved his grandmother more than anything and now that he understands where she comes from and what she's done, he understands what he must do. He's going to do all he can to help the Vanburen family break their curse and stop Thorton Walters in the process. Afterward, he plans on getting his fucking degree.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Now, Justin knows that there are horrors and powers out there much, bigger and frightening than him. Shit that makes him an insect. Does that make him a nihilistic mess? Hell no! He knows those threats can be conquered with passion alone - he's seen it done himself! He believes that strength, passion, and love are everything and they'll conquer the coming storm. Besides, he defeated an eldritch God, the most powerful thing in the multiverse; anything else is going to be a cakewalk. He also believes in bloodlines and family names, so that puts makes him a bit sympathetic to the Vanburen family blight. However, he believes in nothing ventured, nothing gained... you can't get anything done without some risks. In the past, he was a lot more hot-blooded, aggressive, and headstrong but now he can stop and take a look at things.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Justin used to spend a lifetime not being sure of himself. Originally he thought that he was into women but he realized that it was his family making him think that he should be into women. Every time he touched a girl he felt something that couldn't exist. Eventually, Justin realized that he must be gay but was repressing it until he could no one do so. Justin's homosexual and proud of it, but he's still a bit unsure of how to proceed in this new world of his given that his whole life he was raised to romance women. He keeps it to himself, however, given that there are bigger and more important things right now than finding love and sex.

FEARS ⫻ Justin fears that his life will forever be a puppet at the hands of his grandmother's whims and wishes. He feels that he'll forever be facing whatever comes his way because he knows with the return of magic the world's a lot different... a lot more dangerous. He also fears that he'll never be able to continue the bloodline and the Zhao-Liao family name because of his sexuality but he'll find a way. Also Justin does not like needles.

THOUGHTS ABOUT FATHER ⫻ Justin never met the guy! But he heard a lot of good things about him from his grandmother and her recollections. And his grandmother rarely slung praises. So that must mean he's something.

FLAWS ⫻ Justin has made strides in acting without thinking, however, he still makes actions without considering how people feel about them or how they affect other people. He doesn't act brashly anymore, he still has a hard time grasping that even the smallest actions have consequences. Justin, as a trait that's passed down his family, is prideful and overconfident in his abilities - believing that because he conquered a supernatural God that he's seen worse. That he can handle anything less real easily - and sometimes lords that over other people who haven't. He also really hates things being out of his control... his grandmother's death was the biggest thing on his mind, and he beats himself up for not being there to stop it. This leads to Justin being very prideful, and has a hard time asking for help - he wants to handle everything himself

Also, he's haunted by some of the memories he's received from his grandmother's abstraction.

Justin's Grandmother's history

Now you might be wondering why I'm putting another character's history in Justin's. But, it's an important part of his character arc. So, Lihua Zhao was born in China before the age of World War II... in a dimension separate from the one that this story takes place in. This universe was much different from hours - magic will do that. The Axis forces were fueled by Extra-Normal powers and made pacts with Apparitions and demons to unleash unholy powers upon the world. The war went much differently with Germany taking over Europe and Japan taking over Asia... then the war began between the two sides as the all-out war began as every empire went against each other. Creating countless Apparitions in the war... and eventually, the war ended when the world was salted and rendered barren. The survivors decided that there were too few of them to keep going and fled to other universes. With the few stubborn enough to stay dying out shortly after.

Lihua Zhao was a survivor, so was her brother Jiao-Long Zhao. She survived the Rape of Nanking, death of her family, and everything else that took place in this hellish world... and she Awakened with the abstraction to do so. So, Lihua took her brother and left. She had many adventures and fun as she met her many alternate universe counterparts but she desired something new. She wanted to build up a great family in one of these amazing universes. However, things changed when she met him... Thornton Walters. He was charismatic, he was driven, and he knew everything to say to get the young Lihua on his side. She formed the initial Inner-Circle organization with him and acted as his transporter... and eventually ended up as his third in command. The Inner-Circle participated in many crimes and done many experiments towards Thornton's ends. They battled so many organizations against the multiverse, including the League. Lihua was suspicious of him, but she knew he had their best interests at heart.

Or at least that's what she thought. In time, Thornton was more and more ruthless until they came across a white crystal. Which he experimented on and she realized just what he was after. The experiment went wrong and a massive portal devoured the universe they were in... and that was when Lihua drew the line. She teleported away, leaving Thornton to his fate and decided to go her way. She continued traveling the All-Verse but she ended up in Shimmer... and ran into her alternate universe counterpart Qiaolian Liu. Except Qiaolian was old enough to be her mother and wealthy. Lihua convinced this woman to take her in after proving to her that they're the same.

And so Lihua lived a life of vanity and luxury... eventually becoming an Olympic athlete, representing her family. This is where she met her future husband and married him, having her first daughter, Meifeng. However, he died not too long after from cancer and Lihua decided to leave China behind to move to America (In Los Angeles) where she raised Meifeng. Lihua worked her ass off in an office making money while Meifeng was independent.

Meifeng grew up into a strong confident woman who went into college for a master's degree in criminal justice where she met her future sweetheart Daniel Liao. After a few years of romancing each other, they got married, and Meifeng became pregnant with twins. Justin and Kaitlyn Liao, two siblings that would pave the way for the bloodline's future.

After she got of age, Lihua retired to Farmer Hill, Montana in some hope that she'd get her old abstraction back and visit Shade one last time... and it is here where she was killed.

Justin's early life didn't have much of note, Meifeng was at home raising them while his father was making the money for them to live comfortably. This built up a deep innate connection between the twins and their mother, who imparted many of her ideas and philosophy upon the twins - though she was unhappy with staying home by herself. Their grandmother, Lihua, stepped in and offered to take some of the workloads off Meifeng so she could pursue a career as a forensic scientist. Their dual-earner family is what earned them a lot of money, and in turn, helped them live comfortably in Los Angeles.

Though the absence of his mother didn't impact him that much, what did was his first bullies at a young age. Just a group of young thugs that thought it'd be funny to pick on Justin. It started light, then it got more intense as Justin let it continue. Eventually, it got violent, and Justin came home bruised and battered, as the teachers didn't seem to care. Well, Meifeng caught wind of it and was having none of it. She decided to sign Justin up for martial arts lessons - specifically Muay Thai. After a few months, Justin felt a lot more confident in himself and stood up to the bullies. It ended with some broken noses and teeth, but it also ended.

This earned the attention of Lihua Zhao... whom he had a relationship he'd call "weird". He enjoyed driving his grandmother up the wall and Lihua returned the favor. By screwing with him in her way, but he loved her nonetheless. She tried to discipline him but she was... unused to raising boys. What she was used to was girls, and his sister, Kaitlyn, got most of the attention. Now, the two of them were the shadows of each other: Kaitlyn was wild and emotional. A force to be reckoned with when combined with Justin. Their relationship was great, they screwed with their grandmother, got into trouble, and had fun. But, once she got of age her grandmother started grooming her. Teaching her all sorts of lessons on "nobility" and being ladylike... and this put a wedge between Justin and Kaitlyn. As she was getting all the attention of their beloved grandmother and she changed a lot too.

Which caused him to go to other places for companionship. Justin's confidence helped him make a scene for himself, and find people like him. He made a friend or two in the skater scene, and after a lot of fumbling, and falling on his ass, became a confident skateboarder (The coordination training from Muay Thai helped). Falling into the skating scene meant he fell into the punk crowd. The kind of kids that liked to smoke (both tobacco and weed). It leads him to become, in his own words, "an impetuous shithead." His behavior took a nosedive as he also became wild and disrespectful. Which wasn't going to fly in the Liao household. Meifeng took all sorts of measures to discipline Justin, but nothing short of drastic measures did anything to curb this ill behavior.

After getting through school and graduation through sheer dumb luck, Justin didn't have any real commitments, so Meifeng sent him to stay with his Grandmother in Farmer Hill. A little shithole of a town in the middle of nowhere, Montana: perfect for somebody who doesn't like to be bothered. Of course, Lihua appreciated Justin's company... while Justin hated the town. He hated everything about it. From its location to the people in it. He wanted to get the hell out of there, but Meifeng didn't want to send him home until he learned how to act. Lihua made sure to discipline the child and give him a bit more perspective on life.

It took him a while, but Justin adjusted to life in this backwater shithole of a town and was humbled over time (after many ass whoopings). Eventually, he came to like it over time, after making a few friends in the town, he decided to change. To try to become the best person he can be because of life's short. He decided to try to attend college, and get started on his education. His first attempt was to get into a college in Los Angeles that failed horribly and his mother got him into Grand Ridge. He was salty as any human being could be but accepted that this town would never let him go no matter how hard he tried.

He aimed towards a master's degree in psychology, because of his interest in how the human mind worked (and because he wanted to have something to brag about). He bounced back and forth between school, hanging out with friends and his grandmother's house... until one day he came home from class, and saw a bunch of police outside his grandmother's house... carrying out a body in a black bag. Justin was immediately filled with dread, and he asked a cop what had happened, only for his suspicions to be confirmed: Lihua was dead. They said that somebody had broken in and killed her, but stole absolutely nothing. They said that they had no idea what could have happened to her, and absolutely no leads. Which was, from the way Justin interpreted it, their way of saying they were completely useless. The Liao family was devastated by Lihua's death, and they all had no idea how to cope with it.

But, Justin wouldn't let it go. Even as the months passed, and he ended up getting a dorm in Grand Ridge, the haunting sight of what happened to his grandmother made it hard to focus. He felt that this was his higher calling in life: figuring out the mystery of his grandmother. He made a lot of friends in Farmer Hill... but the town got weird after a camping trip. Well, it started with the dickweed of the town, Scott Reese, hulking out and going on a rampage and ended with a godlike eye in the sky knocking them out.

That was when he got close to the town misfit, Claire O'Sullivan, as he was dragged along by the support group from A to B... where they found out the real problem was this ancient thing known as the Glutton. They battled the thing where ever they could and Justin fought his hardest to avenge all the people who were killed by it. After it was defeated the deceased were resurrected and Justin talked with his ghostly grandmother who told him everything. Along with giving him her Abstraction and some resolution about who killed her. And his task: Defeating Thornton Walters. He was unsure of his task, but she shunted him to Araminta, Pennsylvania, and told him to go find a man named James Vanburen.

Cool.

He managed to get in contact with the Vanburen Family and agreed to help them with their little plight. Justin would love to help anyway.

TYPE ⫻ Awakened

Pyro-Telekinesis - His abstraction

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Pyro-Telekinesis, a telekinetic ability that shrouds whatever Justin manipulates in a fiery aura.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Justin underwent a second Awakening during a battle with the Hound and realizing the true nature of his original abstraction (which were two out of control flaming beasts he could summon). After his epiphany about how his abstraction works, he unlocked his true power: Pyro-telekinesis, a very destructive but powerful form of telekinesis. It functions like regular telekinesis: he can lift objects that are up to nine hundred pounds in a twelve-meter radius and move them any way he can think of. He can move it, twist it, and even do some stuff like crush it with telekinetic force and twist it. However, whatever he uses his ability is covered in a wreath of fire until he releases his control of it - in which the fire immediately disappears. This has the nasty habit of destroying objects that he controls but this is quite dangerous of ability and is versatile... just not as versatile as regular telekinesis. Justin also has access to a form of flight by using the telekinesis on himself - this a technique that Justin uses a lot, possibly more than his regular ability. He's capable of near limitless movement options as he can move much like he manipulates objects. Whenever he uses his ability he also glows with an aura of fire. Justin, seemingly, has an aura of protection around himself that shields him from all fires and he can probably take a lava bath. He can extend this aura to whatever he's touching - which is how his clothes don't burst into flames or he can protect other people.

AURA SENSING ⫻ The aura sensing for Justin's own abstraction is a strange one. Now while most other telekinetics or elementals can sense their own elemental in a way, he can sense what's two meters outside of his control. When an object enters his range, the aura fades away and he can use it.

LIMITS ⫻ Justin can't directly use his abstraction on other Extra-Normal beings. So he can't do anything like bend someone like a pretzel or stop their heart telekinetically (though you'd also get your heart cooked). He has a wide degree of control but can only control stuff in about a ten-meter radius, which isn't that far. He can lift up to nine hundred pounds but not for long. Think of it like this: you may be able to lift two hundred pounds but be able to do it for a while. Lifting heavier objects takes a lot more energy out of him and its not as precise as his regular telekinesis. He'll strain himself in the process and it's like a muscle the more he uses it the more tired Justin will get. Justin can manipulate up to ten objects at a time, but again, nine hundred pound limit and he finds it easier to manipulate fewer objects. In addition, he can't influence gases or liquids - and has a hard time manipulating less solid materials like clothes, etc, etc. Also, any objects he manipulates aren't, you know, immune to fire.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ Now, while Justin's abstraction is more or less a more offensive form of telekinesis with fire. Which is the problem, he has a harder time using his abstraction outside of fights. The fire is destructive and can and will destroy what he uses it on and can spread. Now, let me get to the weaknesses of the abstraction: first and foremost if the fire around an object he's using is extinguished then he won't be able to use it. It can be by water, lack of oxygen, etc... and that means he can't use his abstraction where there's no air. Speaking of air, the abstraction burns up air pretty fast with all the spontaneous fire creation - which isn't a problem outdoors. Indoors and in close spaces is where it becomes a problem. Smoke is also, I imagine, a problem given that his abstraction is setting stuff on fire. Also, the abstraction can also create massive fires that Justin can't easily extinguish. Also, Justin gets headaches, nosebleeds, yadda yadda yadda. Now, The Soul-Self is kind of a limit breaker on his abstraction and with those limits, the checks and balances keeping him in one piece disappear.

Stone-Effigy - Lihua's abstraction

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Stone-Effigy, his grandmother's abstraction, the ability to create replicas of her hands, face and... other features she found desirable out any stone surface in the environment.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Lihua Zhao was a very vain woman, but she desired to build something new... while also treating herself as the All-Verse's most beautiful woman. Lihua's abstraction reflects her vanity and to use it, Justin has to be vain, prideful, and haughty himself. Aaaaaaand that's not something Justin can channel because Lihua pretty much treated herself as a queen while Justin has a hard time wrapping his head around it. So, to get to the point, Lihua could create her best features out of stone in the environment. These were her hands, face, and... other body parts, but she mainly uses her hands due to their versatility and the limits on her abstraction. She could create dozens upon dozens of hands her size but two hands that are towering. Strangely enough, these hands can extend and stretch far beyond how they logically should, if Lihua willed it.

This seemed to come with a weird spatial warping or stone generating ability as she can create hands with more stone than she logically should (for example, she created about a few hundred pounds of stone out of what Justin suspected was about a stone tile about an inch thick).

However, this abstraction has not properly attuned itself to Justin and it still operates on "factory settings" as I should say. When Justin uses it, however, what he creates are copies of his grandmother's hands and features - not his own. These hands mirror Justin's hand's actions, however, so if he throws a punch, so does the hands, and if he grabs something then so does the hands. He should, logically, be able to replicate it but he has a hard time understanding what created her abstraction. So Justin can only create about a dozen hands about his size and can't even go beyond that. Besides, Justin can also create an effigy of Lihua face which does everything his face does (and he can even talk through it!) but he rarely uses this due to its... uncomfortable nature. There's also the fact that he can also create a Stone-Effigy out of Lihua's other body parts but they're even more uncomfortable. Not to mention kinda creepy, and useless. Mainly creepy.

Naturally, being made out of stone and all that jazz these hands are way stronger than people - they can probably crush somebody real easily. They're also as durable as the surface they are created on so take that as you will. These hands will persist long as Justin focuses but once he stops the hands will recede into the ground. The abstraction also has a secondary ability to transform Justin's arms (up until his shoulder) into stone and augment his strength and durability.

And before you ask, yes, yes he can except it's waaaaay worse than what you're thinking.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Now, Lihua's aura reading isn't that strong... or useful at all. She can sense the auras of her children and grandchild and anyone else who descended from her in a ninety-meter range.

LIMITS ⫻ Justin can't use his ability that effectively on extra-normal beings, which sucks given that his grasp on the abstraction is already trash. He has a harder time holding them down and his strikes are less effective. When Lihua used this ability, it was probably the strongest abstraction in all of Farmer Hill (which probably reflected her perceived "inner-strength") but Justin has a hard time using it and finds that his arms crumble real quick. He'll have to try hard to keep them going but this can be straining on Justin. Due to the fact that they'll crumble, they're less durable than regular stone and will crumble a lot easier. Now, while this may be a weakness; but he'll overcome it in time so it's a limit. Now the main problem he has with the abstraction is probably range... he's limited to creating hands in about two meters radius around him where his grandmother could create these hands as far as the eye can see. Now the big limit is the space on the surface of the stone... so say if he was limited to a tile that was a foot-by-foot, he can only create as many hands as would logically fit on the surface. So to create the car-sized hands he'll need a car-sized piece of stone... which is easy to come across in the urban environment just not outside of it. Strangely enough, he can stretch these hands to be about twelve feet long. Justin also needs pure stone to utilize his abstraction properly and stone that is mixed with other materials makes it difficult for him to create his hands and keep them maintained. Which really sucks.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ Lihua Zhao was a woman without weakness!

Well, that's what she liked to boast but her abstraction has a wide range of drawbacks. For starters, if the stone hands were destroyed somehow that part of Justin's hands would be rendered slack for awhile. Now, whenever Justin uses his abstraction he begins to feel the weight of the stone bearing down on him. This means he'll be slowed down while he's using the Stone-Effigy and will have a harder time doing all those fancy maneuvers. Now, whenever Justin uses his abstraction cracks will form on his skin which will bleed and could get infected if he's not careful. Also, turning his arms into stone throws off his balance greatly and he could easily fuck up. Also, there are some aspects of this abstraction that makes him really uncomfortable.

Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I'm hiding all manner of sin, baby, come and enter." The young Madison Brown is quite striking, standout in both ways she can and cannot help. The main thing that comes to mind is that the girl is quite tall. She's not freakishly tall but she's almost six feet tall and stands at the male average tall and stands proud. Madison walks with confidence and pride with every step, and her voice speaks the same way. Though, she's usually glued to a phone of some sort or seems distracted. The girl astonishingly enough has a rather deep voice for a female - it is not to the point where she sounds masculine but she has a deep, mean sounding voice. She speaks with a thick Philadelphian accent and usually litters her vocabulary with slang from that area. However, the girl is quite friendly and is prone to smiling and making jokes and is quite energetic. The girl works out a lot and is thus in great shape - she mainly does it for her job. The girl is far from muscular but you can tell that the girl doesn't sit around doing anything which accentuates her curves. It is hard to tell but the girl has a 42F cup size, nipples pierced, but she keeps it hidden underneath her clothing very well. Most people won't even notice that she's bigger than average unless she decides to show it. What she can never hide is her behind which she has to wear jeans a few sizes bigger just to hide. It's something inherited from her mother it seems. Madison dresses with usually the latest styles but never wears a designer or anything like that since its simply out of her budget. She likes to wear Nike and Adidas track/sweat suits, jeans, sometimes walking around in tights and if the weather permits it leather jackets. Madison is African-American to her very core with large, rather thick lips, curly hair that she straightens, and brown skin. The girl is apart of the Afro-punk movement and it shows with her attire. The girl has her head shaved except for the hair on the center of her head forming a mohawk, has many piercings all over her body, and wears leather jackets and dresses "punk" for show. Besides, the girl has many, many, tattoos all over her body. She has been smart to keep it sure that her tattoos are covered by her sleeves and no tattoos above the neck. The tattoos were the result of many, many, painful different sessions that she, again, mostly does for show. The tattoos are various African patterns that are sleeves on her arms, legs, and upper body. Madison is almost literally a canvas of different tattoos. However, on her stomach there's a hideous scar... one going from her waist to her chest is stitching scars as if there was surgery on her. Most notably it's on both sides implying that it went through her body.

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Everything Madison does is to try to get over the events of her cousin's death. Everything. Though she wants to enter the world of the supernatural and the occult. After what that crazy girl Kimberly told her everything she knows and loves has been thrown into doubt - most importantly the event that changed everything. Now she wants to know if she can dive into the supernatural to correct things in her eyes and fix the glaring issue she sees. At any cost.

WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Madison, after finding the Hound, mainly sticks with the Coven out of companionship. She wants to fall into the world of the supernatural to achieve a particular goal of hers.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ To Madison Brown she has a simple philosophy: live for herself and live without doubts or regrets. The girl believes that life is far too short to be holding onto grudges and to be worrying about past mistakes. Madison wants to remove the ugly out of her life and that is the way to living life perfectly. She honestly sees herself as a hypocrite because innately she doesn't even follow her little guidelines and has been holding onto to her numerous past mistakes. It's merely a guide and merely how the girl presents herself as. There's also her little belief that bodies are beautiful no matter how they come and should be shown to the world - and encourages other women to follow this doctrine.

SECRETS ⫻ Well, Madison moonlights as a stripper to get some extra money. First, she found it dirty and shameful but now... she's starting to like it. The money, the attention, and it has innately shaped her body image. The other secret that Madison has that is far, far, darker is the fact that she died in the previous timeline and was resurrected by her cousin sacrificing herself.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Madison Brown is asexual, in the past, she didn't really have much of a desire for sex even though she was fine with it. She tells people that she likes making them happy, but otherwise has no special desire for a sexual relationship. Some people wonder why she dresses suggestively or is even a stripper, but she asserts that she likes exploring her body and showing the world that she loves the way she came out and implores others to do the same. That said, Madison is completely fine with dating either gender and is fine with sex if the person is right.

FEARS ⫻ The girl fears the inevitable revelation that she was responsible for her cousin's death. Every day she has gone to whatever lengths but she's starting to realize the ugly truth - regardless of who's fault it or not. Madison fears her inevitable fall from grace and falling into a deep abyss.

REPUTATION ⫻ Madison Brown is a rather well-known Instagram model that likes to post suggestive pictures of herself along with posting motivational speeches. Some people bring up her past bullying and her other actions and there's been a growing base of people criticizing her. There's also the elicit side in which she's a very well-known stripper but keeps her identity hidden.

FLAWS ⫻ Madison is broken and no amount of therapy or medication is helping. The death of her cousin, being attacked, being exiled from her family and then learning the truth about her cousin's death is weighing down on her. More one hit and the girl will probably shatter in ways that she can never heal from. The girl is attempting to deal with all of these stressors any way she can but they're not working

"It's... all a lie."

To begin Madison Brown was born in Philadelphia in one of the more impoverished areas of the city. Both of her parents worked at separate times, her dad during the day and her mom during the night, to support the family so they were hardly together at the time. Madison had a little brother named Samson and the two were relatively close... Samson helped Madison whenever and Madison gave him advice on how to talk to girls. However, this wasn't the person that Madison would form a bond with - it was her cousin Jordan Nichols. You see the girl lived a few blocks over and the two were best friends from even a young age, and they did everything together and what they didn't do together they told the other about. As they grew up they grew apart a little bit but with cellphones entering the picture they text each other constantly. Though, as they grew Madison entered the more popular cliques of their highschool through her good looks and connections and eventually became the queen bee.

Madison wasn't quite a perfect angel and neither were the popular girls and to be one of them you weren't expected to be. Through peer pressure, Madison did things that, by her admission, she wouldn't have done without her friends goading her into it. They bullied people they felt were inferior to them by insulting them, and sometimes even physically attacking them. Over time, Madison became more compliment with the actions and thus more comfortable bullying people. It ended with a few people filing complaints against her but they were all dashed. Madison didn't care that she was hurting people, only that she had friends and on the weekends they turned up at the mall, parties, where ever. It was perfect.

Though, Madison decided to rope her cousin, Jordan, into the group merely through connections alone. Her little cousin wasn't as pretty as her but they brought her in with open arms. Eventually, they were all set to go their separate ways; with Madison and Jordan heading to Grand Ridge Academy in Montana. It was far away from what they were used to... but Madison figured that it was time to get away from Philadelphia. However, Madison and the gals decided to go on one last night out to celebrate.

They were going to turn Philadelphia upside down and they gathered everything they needed. One girl got a car, another got them some fake IDs, while Madison used her connections to get them plenty of liquor. Then they went out and had a banger drinking, going to clubs, and doing whatever the hell they wanted as they felt like they owned Philadelphia. It all went wrong in one instant... Madison was the only one who didn't get drunk as the group's designated driver. Still, she was high off of dopamine and adrenaline and was speeding through the streets of downtown Philadelphia. Trying to show off, Madison tried to run a red light to beat a speeding car...

... and failed to beat it.

The car went directly into them and they went spiraling. They hit a car before crashing and Madison was impaled through the stomach with a stop sign... which went through Jordan's skull. EMTs came in and cut the traffic sign and rushed her to safety, but Madison barely remembers it as it was all a blur. Eventually, she lost consciousness and woke up a few days later sans traffic sign in a hospital bed. She was kept there for a few days but later found out that Jordan had died. It was... the saddest day Madison ever had.

A few months later Madison was released from the hospital but when she got back to school everything seemed different. All the popular clique wasn't talking to her and Madison realized the effect that she was having on the people she bullied. Madison realized it wasn't all fun and games... and after telling her family they couldn't look her in the eyes anymore. They barely even talked to her and only gave her food and a place to stay before they told her that she had to leave when she graduated high school. They didn't care how, but they couldn't stay with them anymore. Those were the most cutting words that Madison had ever heard.

And to make matters worse, the people that she bullied banded together and brutally beat Madison so badly that she ended up in the hospital for a while. It was strange being attacked, but she felt like she deserved it for everything she did. Madison graduated and then went off to Farmer Montana's famous Grand Ridge Academy. She wanted to get a STEM degree and worst comes to worst she can go into the military. However, Madison could barely act the way she used to do and was forced to get therapy (that was the least her parents could do). She was haunted by dreams of the incident and the death of her cousin, every time she went to sleep she woke up either screaming or in a cold sweat. The girl was withdrawn and could barely finish her degree. That was when the massive earthquake began and almost flattened Farmer Hill. Madison was one of the survivors, fortunately, and now she was unsure of where she was going to go from here.

However, Madison came across one of the survivors of the incident, a white girl named Kimberly Walton. The girl seemed to be oddly interested in her and eventually said that she was best friends with Jordan. After punching her in the nose for toying with her, Madison started thinking and eventually heard the girl out. That was when the two were placed inside of a recollection where Madison was shown everything. The battle against the Glutton, the world of the Extra-Normal, and... the existence of the old timeline. That on its own wasn't all that special, but Jordan Nichols was alive in that timeline and fought against the Glutton. And Madison Brown was the one that died, but Jordan made a deal with the Hound so that she would come back to life in exchange for her soul. The revelation that magic was real on its own would change anyone but with what she was told...

The girls exchanged contact information and Madison moved onto the next station of her life: The University of South Florida. She decided that Florida was more her speed and that she needed to start again somewhere else. Things were fine, Madison kept visiting a new therapist and then she found new people. Eventually, to pass the time, Madison began looking up African-culture Instagram pages and found out about a festival known as Afropunk. It was... different, but the kind of different that she felt that she needed. She thinks that she needs to change above all else and decided to attend it.

The girl ended up loving it and how African-Americans were expressing themselves with alternative ideas. Madison became a fan of the movement and ended up shifting her style a bit towards the Punkish, but more importantly, she wanted to attend similar events. This made Madison a festival-rat as she attended all these events dressed like a punk and other alternative costumes and took pictures of herself and put them on social media. Her Instagram page started gaining some traction and Madison decided to use this to become an Instagram model. She found validation through digital likes, but it truly felt empty. Madison pressed on anyway as she worked out to get the best body and used donations and other such things to get money. So she can take even more pictures, make videos, and whatever else - it was insane!

Though ghosts from the past started to bark yet again and Madison found that her follower base was depleting because of her past bullying. Out of desperation, Madison's pictures became more risque and she started attracting a different audience. They came back as they lusted after her body... and Madison decided to take a different plunge. It was a hard choice to make, but Madison's looks allowed her to become a stripper at a high-end club - taking the name Liberty. First, she thought it was the most degrading and disgusting thing but... she started to like the attention the men were giving her. Saying all sorts of things to get into her pants - but she only entertained them enough to get their bills. Along with making her more money than ever before as she was able to attend parties and other high-end events.

However, things weren't the same and Madison still felt like there was something she really should be directing her attention towards... and eventually, she decided to plunge into the world of the Extra-Normal herself. Even though she had nary a clue as to how to go about it; she just wanted to find the mysterious Hound, the being behind all of this. Except she was told that the Hound only appears to people with Extra-Normal powers and he was a very powerful threat on his own. Madison remembered she still had that girl Kimberly's contact information and gave her a call and she gave her a more in-depth look at the Extra-Normal.

Madison wanted powers like Kimberly and the others but didn't know how to do it - Kimberly warned her against attempting to gain an abstraction because it can be... dangerous. However, if she wanted to do it; Kimberly told her about a store in a small town off the highway about an hour or two away from Tampa. An antique shop that Kimberly goes to that she says should have something for Madison. Sighing, Madison entered the racist ass-backward of rural Florida and ended up at the shop. Managing the shop was a woman named Patricia Howard and she said that Madison had a "troubled aura" and Maddie, in turn, told her about Kimberly. The woman told Madison that she sold charms and other trinkets with power and normally Madison would call bullshit but she was willing to believe anything that this point.

As Madison touched the various charms and realized that Apparitions were sealed inside of them. Known of them were truly interesting her, as they were about healing and Madison wanted strength to brave the world of the Extra-Normal... and Madison eventually touched a charming T-Rex shaped keychain and she heard a deep, monstrous, voice in her head. The Apparition inside introduced itself as "The Jaws" and told her that it had a power stronger than any other and will lend her its power if she completes "The Rite of the Jaws". Interested, Madison bought the trinket, went back home, and then touched it.

Suddenly her mind was taken to a massive, seemingly endless jungle... and she was being hunted by the Jaws in the shape of a massive, dinosaur-like, creature. The Jaws said to complete the Rite, Madison has to kill him. The first attempt didn't end well with the Jaws defeating her in straight combat near effortlessly... and then Madison was sent back and told to try again. For the next few weeks Madison tried to defeat the Jaws only to fail again, and again, and again... and only when she started thinking like a predator was she able to defeat the Jaws and gain his power.

And it was great as it boasted - granting her the ability of flight among other great abilities. So this was the first step of her quest to find the Hound... she saved enough money to last her a while and she also had her roommates to help out. So now Madison is after the Hound. A friend of hers, Emily, roped her into a "Coven" and she eventually became one of the founding members.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ The Jaws, an Apparition that can summon dinosaur bones to protect herself from harm, grant her strength, and allow her to fly.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ The Jaws is an Apparition from a different universe spawned from the death of dinosaurs, that was sealed inside the keychain. The Jaws is a very straightforward Apparition that usually doesn't speak more than a few words at a time, but he's particular about lending his power to a human. Only those who complete his "Rites" can use his abstraction and Madison has proved herself worthy. The Jaws is an ancient Apparition that represents the rage of dead dinosaurs and he can spawn a mass of dinosaur bones. Given that he's an apparition, the bones that Madison can summon are transparent, dark-purple color, and look ghostly. When Madison channels the power of the Jaws she'll be surrounded with a skeletal forcefield that wraps around her and floats about two feet off of her skin. It's a mass of different dinosaur bones (legs, ribs, claws, skulls, etc) forming a shell around Madison. It's quite a messy sight with various mouths, claws, tails, and other limbs sticking out of it that are still functional. It's best described as an armor and it'll be completely invisible to the Blind until it comes in contact with something. The Jaws is durable enough to stop most physical supernatural attacks in its tracks and is more or less immune to physical attacks from the blind.

Now, while the Jaws usually form a shell that conforms around Madison she can shape the jaws to a small extent. She can't completely shape it and it'll still end up looking eldritch, but she can do things like form a wall out of bones and how many extra limbs she wants to create. This will cause a bit more energy and it'll be easier to just manifest the Jaws in its basic form. Madison can shape the Jaws in the form of a complete dinosaur skeleton if it was practical. Most notably she can summon claws to augment her attacks. The barrier created by the jaws grants Madison a form of super-strength via the usage of a mild-telekinetic ability. It augments her strength while it's active and allows her to do things that she normally wouldn't be able to do. It gives her the strength of beasts and allows her to crack stone, throw people around, to lift a man one-handed and carry people while she flies. However, she finds this very straining. Most notably the limbs that she summons have a bit of this strength and she can it to grab objects and attack people (Slashing, mauling, etc, etc) - but functionally it's like a short-ranged form of telekinesis. Besides, Madison doesn't have to summon the complete barrier and can just spawn an arm or two.

The final part of Madison's powerset is flight, as the jaws can summon skeletal wings around Madison (that can be seen). This isn't a traditional form of flight however as it's augmented by telekinesis and it allows her to move any way she can think of. She can hover, glide, and fly up to thirty miles per hour, and its independent from the barrier (I.E she can fly if it's not activated or has been destroyed). In effect, the Jaws grants a more or less an off-flying brick with some telekinetic abilities.

AURA SENSING ⫻ The Jaws prides itself on being the All-Verse's most dangerous and persistent hunter. It's aura sensing acts as a form of enhanced smell... once it catches a whiff of someone's aura it can begin to track them. A trail follows them where ever they go that Madison can follow but the further away they are, the vaguer the trail will be. If the target is more than eighty meters away, then it'll be damn near impossible to see. She can only track one person at a time.

LIMITS ⫻ The Extra-Normal's resistance to each other strikes yet again. Any attack Madison uses through the Jaws is weakened somewhat. Along with the fact that Extra-Normal attacks are far more effective against it. The main issue with the Jaw's bone barrier is that the bones that comprise it can be broken under enough stress - one super-strong punch can break part of them and leave an opening. It'll take a few minutes for the barrier to correct itself or she'll have to sacrifice protection elsewhere to cover that part. It can also take one or two bullets (some higher-powered weapons will break through it instantly) before that piece breaks and she'll have to sacrifice the overall strength of the barrier to fill in that hole. It can withstand a beam attack a little bit before the barrier crumbles and breaks. The barrier also doesn't do too good against liquids and gases, for something I'll talk about in the weakness section. While it's an off-telekinetic ability Madison has a harder time grabbing stuff given the nature of how the barrier manifests around her and any limb she creates won't be any different. While Madison can go pretty fast, she's sacrificing maneuverability and the faster she goes the harder a time she'll have making turns.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ There are a few weaknesses that greatly limit the effectiveness of the Jaws. First and foremost: impact. Unlike other examples of flying bricks, it's not an ability that enhances Madison's body but instead acts as a field around her. Or better yet armor. The Jaw's barrier may be able to stop a super strong punch but she'll feel the impact of it hitting her and knocking her around. If Madison hits the ground it'll end in some broken bones at best. Given how the Jaws forms a transparent barrier around Madison, this greatly limits her vision as she'll be seeing everything through a blurry purple tint. Next is the nature of how the barrier is created... it takes the form of a mess of bones. These bones leave openings that certain attacks can get through, and does jackshit against elemental attacks like fire, air, and water. There's also the fact that Madison is stronger than the Jaws are tough and she has the habit of shattering the bones that comprise the barrier. Flying around is also not pleasant because she gets vertigo, nausea and has the wind against her face. Such fun.

Madison drives around a black Ford Explorer... a new model that she's going to be paying the car note on for years (Fucking ten percent interest rate). However, her rent is high as fuck and she's always a bit strapped for cash to pay off these expenses.

"Well, one thing that the whole thing with the Glutton taught me is that I need to be in good shape."

Kimberly (or Kim as she likes to describe herself) is one of the girls that thinks she's plain. She feels as if she doesn't have the face, body, or curves, of models. And in truth, she doesn't have the attributes that make them attractive. Not that really hindered Kimberly at all, she shunted that idea as she found her true calling. Yes, she still has the glasses that invoke a librarian look but the rest of her body says that she's an adventurer now. She usually has a smug smile on her face like she knows something that you don't. It's catty, and somewhat immature even - but a lot of people get the wrong idea about her just from the look. She's not as spastic and energetic as before but is a lot more mild and calm. Reserved even... even with the smile.

Kimberly is thin, but recently she has been paying a lot more attention to her physical fitness. After all, most of her time is spent running around. So, Kimberly has been hitting the gym, losing that little bit of pudge she got from before when she sat around. Which has done wonders for her skin... she's not pale as she used to be. Now, she isn't completely bulked out or anything but you can tell in a few years she'll be in a lot better shape. Her legs are the most toned and strong looking part of her body, however. She has blemishes on her face and a little bit of acne. She doesn't have any marks on her body, other than a few childhood scars that haven't faded. Her skin tone is the result of being primarily French, with a bit of German, and being distantly Blackfoot. As for the rest of her body, she has a banana body shape. Not a body with a whole lot of curves, her shoulders are around the same width as her waist. Her bust (32A) being fairly small, and the same with her hips, she doesn't have a whole lot of curves.

Before the girl wouldn't think of getting a tattoo. However, she decided to say fuck it and get a . Taking the appearance of a massive blue butterfly that takes up almost her entire back... it was the end result of a lot of money and many sessions. On her right arm, she has the tattoo of Rest in Power, Jordan Nichols surrounded by musical notes and vines. Which is weird because, in this timeline, she would have never met the girl. Separate from her tattoos is her sigil which is directly on the center of her forehead. For her other sigil, it's the symbol of a cockroach under her left foot. Ironically enough.

Kimberly dresses rather practically when she's out doing her thing. She likes clothes that suit the purpose of being a monster hunter. She wears combat boots (the more lightweight version because she still needs to run and climb shit), and military-style cargo/combat pants with lots of pockets - sometimes she wears jeans but special work jeans. As for her top, she likes to wears all sorts of stuff for the occasion. She isn't against wearing a tank top, but usually, she wears a jacket, hoodie, or even a trench coat. When she's not on the job she dresses rather unflatteringly. Kimberly doesn't have much of a figure so she doesn't bother and, unlike some people, she doesn't see the point of getting all dressed up if the situation doesn't call for it. She keeps it simple with jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie if the situation calls for it. When she's trying to dress to impress she has some semblance of style... a hipster style. She dresses conservative but wears sweaters, jackets, and all sorts of that jazz that are bright and colorful - and likes to wear dresses. Though she still sometimes wears boots, and she's the kind of girl who wears sneakers with a dress. Regardless of what she's wearing, though, Kimberly always has her trusty satchel slung around her shoulder.

PSYCHOLOGY

"I wish I could have had the courage to tell Jordan not to go with the Hound..."

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Kimberly's singular, obsessive, goal is to stop Annabelle Heart's rampage. She knows that she, at this point, is borderline unstoppable, but Kimberly's still going to try to stop her somehow. After that, Kimberly's goal even if it appears on the surface level that she's only in it for the money is to protect her community from the Extra-Normal. Her experiences with the Glutton and the Hound have opened her eyes to the bigger picture and she knows that things won't be the same. So she attempts to grow stronger anyway she can and make money while doing it. On the flip side, she is attempting to make as much money as she can off of "Ghost hunting" along with expanding her influence far as she can. Though, deep down, she wishes to get over her sorrow over her best friend's death.

WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Kimberly doesn't want anything out of the Coven other than their safety and survival. She doesn't have any interest in joining them, or being a witch at all, nor does she particularly approve of them. However, she isn't against working with them if they have a way of curing the curse that was placed on Annabelle Heart. Nor is she against helping the Coven if they really need it. From what she can tell, they're just a bunch of girls out there sticking together, and she won't really .

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Kimberly outlook on life changed drastically (fighting an eldritch abomination can do that to you). She realizes that maybe humanity is just a speck in the bigger picture but she wants to enjoy life the best she can and for what it is. So what if there are monsters out there? She's going to stop them. Kimberly lives and let die and believes that anyone can change, and the ugliest people are caterpillars that will, in time, blossom. As a strange belief of hers, Kimberly thinks that photographs are one of the most important things of all time; as they are moments perfectly captured and locked in time. Even if the people die, their photographs will live on forever and they are immortalized through a photograph.

SECRETS ⫻ Kimberly keeps her battle with the Glutton a very well-kept secret between herself and the people who fought it. She tries to keep the Extra-Normal a secret in the most cunning way she can: by presenting them as fiction. In addition, due to what happened, Kimberly has to keep what happened to her friend, Jordan Nichols a secret. Namely her interactions with the girl because technically, in this timeline, she died years before they even could have met.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Kimberly thinks she is heterosexual but it's ambiguous (perhaps even to Kimberly). She isn't exactly the flirty type but had moments where which has made others unsure of her exact sexuality - namely she had some moments of flirting (and "other" displays of affections) with her late best friend, Jordan. Perhaps unintentionally? However, she seems to only show this kind of affection to her close friends.

FEARS ⫻ Kimberly knows that there are monsters out there - literal and metaphorical. She feels the dread overwhelming her innately that they could strike out at any moment and she won't be strong enough to stop them. Kimberly also fears to lose the people that she cares about, mainly because she lost one friend to the supernatural and never wants to lose another one.

REPUTATION ⫻ Before she was thought of as an overimaginative weirdo with a camera, now that's different. Kimberly's quite popular online with her series Project: World Unknown. The show is actually a recording of her battles with Extra-Normal beings presented as special effects and this has reached people far and wide. To say it in fewer words; Kimberly's a celebrity. One that's known in Tampa, in particular.

FLAWS ⫻ Eccentric and is prone to alienate people unintentionally by saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. The girl is very nosy and likes to stick her nose in other people's business - especially when it comes to the supernatural. Kimberly is overzealous, presumptuous, and has a habit of jumping the gun. Especially when the going gets tough. In her attempts to combat the supernatural she has gotten rather arrogant and believes herself to be an expert. When there's much she doesn't know and most likely that'll bite her in the ass. The girl hasn't fully gotten over the death of her former friend, Jordan Nichols, and will go to any lengths for it to never happen again.

BACKSTORY

"I've found my true calling."

So to begin, Kimberly was born as a native of Farmer Hill, Montana. Her family isn't particularly complex, her father's name was Leonard Walton, her mother's name was Constance, and she had a sister name, Bethany. Her father was retired from the army and settled down to work in Townhall, while her mother was a sheriff in Farmer Hill - the two met while in the service. Kimberly, at a young age, displayed a creative and fun-loving side that loved to read and enjoyed art but her parents had a different plan, they wanted their daughter to follow their footsteps. After all, it was apart of the family tradition to do this great honor... but it truly wasn't in Kimberly's best interests. She just wanted to be creative and fun-loving and all and that was something that Bethany shared too. The two girls were pretty much close childhood friends - Kimberly's only friend it seemed.

The family traveled a lot to other cities and Kimberly enjoyed it... but then they came back to boring old Farmer Hill. Kimberly often fixated on the photographs that they took while at beaches and other places and she longed to head back there - and these days she longs to go back to those days. Kimberly wanted every one of her moments to be immortalized and that's what created an interest in photography. It started with demanding to be the one to take the family photos and then it ended with Kimberly working to buy a hundred dollar camera. From here on in, Kimberly dreamed of going to Grand Ridge Academy and becoming the world's greatest photography and her sister, Bethany wanted to do the same. The two shared the same interest and eventually, they took photography classes together.

However, their subjects were drastically different. Where Bethany took pictures of the scenic Farmer Hill and tried to catch people's best moments, Kimberly's subjects were a bit more macabre. Kimberly was interested in the dark history of Farmer Hill and the Occultism that surrounded it... much to the chagrin of Leonard and the many other people who wanted to keep that aspect of Farmer Hill a secret. It was just the occasional picture of a cow skeleton, a pentagram that was drawn into the side of a building, and the site where an animal was obviously sacrificed. The two, occasionally got together to take photographs together but their completely different interests were hard to make work together. Though, things changed between the two after one faithful event.

Bethany was attacked one day after coming back from school, she claims by a man - but now Kimberly wonders if it was supernatural. After that, their relationship did a one-eighty; Bethany started hanging out with the rich preppy girls and started talking down and bullying people. Which included Kimberly as Bethany, whenever they were out bullied, belittled, and talked down to Kimberly in high school. It seemed to be for show as, whenever they were home, Bethany rarely bothered Kimberly and merely brushed her off whenever she tried to get a straight answer. Kimberly was hurt by the betrayal as the girl thought that she was her best friend and this bullying caused her to be the target for the entire town. However, this didn't last long as the two graduated and Bethany went to a prestigious college in LA.

Kimberly didn't know why, but she remained in Farmer Hill to attend Grand Ridge Academy. She told herself that she only did it to follow her original plan to go there to become the world's greatest photographer. Worst of all, Kimberly felt alienated from her own family by not abiding by their wishes and constantly got into arguments with her. It was quite clear they saw her as the black sheep for refusing to serve their country. It started with small things like not inviting Kimberly home for holidays to more or less kicking her out of the house. Worst of all, she noticed that they took down all the pictures that had Kimberly from their social media and it felt like her connection to the Waltons died.

Suddenly, Farmer Hill felt like a trap that she needed to escape... and it was uncomfortable running into them on the street. In Kimberly's spare time she went around Farmer Hill and took spooky pictures of whatever she could find - and sometimes of things that she made herself and put them on Instagram. Eventually, she got bored one day at one of the places something was sacrificed to a "Glutton" and decided to fuck around. She played the part of a ghost hunter and mocked getting attacked by a ghost and convinced a friend of hers that specialized in special effects to edit in some stuff. Then she put it on social media to some rather positive reception.

Which gave her the idea of, whenever the girl wasn't studying, to run this little web series of hers named Project: Worlds Unknown. It was a simple thing where she went around and acted the part of a ghost hunter that tried to rid Farmer Hill of phantasms or the curse that plagued the town. It gained some small traction to the point where the ad revenue put a little bit of money in her pockets. Though around this time a newcomer to the town name named Jordan Nichols... a black girl from Philadelphia with a messed up leg that wanted to pursue a degree in Photography as well. They were the polar opposites of each other in every way but that's what made them connect so well. Jordan needed a guide around Farmer Hill and Kimberly, well, needed a friend.

Eventually, the two were functionally joined at the hip with Jordan rarely going too far away from Kimberly (which lead to some rumors that they were in a relationship - which Jordan denied but Kimberly didn't). With Jordan helping out with Kimberly's show and all of that jazz. Kimberly and Jordan were best friends and there was nothing that could change that.

... Not even the discovery that the supernatural wasn't as fake as she thought it was. After a camping trip gone wrong due to Scott Reese, the town scumbag, getting possessed by the Glutton and going on a rampage. Kimberly escaped with her life but didn't realize it at the time but she Awakened. From then on, she helped the group whenever she could even though she didn't know of her abstraction. Kimberly noticed a strange trend with her friend, Jordan, and confronted her on it... and Jordan revealed that she was being hunted by a being known as "the Hound".

Jordan confessed what happened that messed up her leg, which made her so haunted and guilty: years ago she went on a drunken car ride on her cousin's, Madison Brown, birthday which ended with a car accident that killed her. Since Jordan was behind the wheel, she blamed herself for years for her death. However, as it turned out: that was not how things were supposed to go. As it turns out Jordan was the one that was supposed to die and the Hound wished to correct that. Kimberly vowed to protect her from the Hound and did just that.

From there, Kimberly assisted the group in their battle against the Glutton... which was getting more and more hopeless as the situation devolved into raving cultists and monsters wandering the town. Before the ultimate battle, however, the Hound came for Jordan and said that if she comes willingly, he'll help the group defeat the Glutton. Jordan, however, willingly gave herself up to the Hound. Kimberly tried to object but Jordan was dead set on this... and this ended up being Kimberly's biggest mistake. Before Jordan left, they had some parting words before Jordan gave Kimberly her abstraction: Temporal Pausing.

The group ventured into the mountain and defeated the Glutton - where she discovered her abstraction - bringing back all of their old friends and creating a new timeline without the Glutton. In this timeline, Farmer Hill was destroyed by an "earthquake" but magic was returned. It would have been perfect, but Jordan's cousin, Madison Brown, was also resurrected and Jordan died years ago. She apparently attended Grand Ridge Academy in Jordan's place. Against the advice of the Hound Kimberly showed Madison a recollection of what happened. From there Kimberly's family moved to Florida without her and Kimberly ended up moving to New York City to attend school on her own.

However, this wasn't right... Kimberly didn't want to pretend things were normal with the things that she has seen. After much thinking; Kimberly brought back her show... Project: Worlds Unknown. However, with a twist; Kimberly was actually battling the supernatural and Apparitions and recording it. Over time, her viewer base expanded to the millions - there were less theatrics, fewer special effects, and other fancy nonsense, but that was only because Kimberly was taking it seriously. Kimberly was eliminating Apparitions that were a threat across New York City along with becoming a celebrity and traveling to other places to help stop other Apparitions.

Though, she kept her ear to the ground. Kimberly knew the next big threat was right around the corner. It won't be as big as the Glutton but nothing could be on par with that thing.

And it wasn't long until she found it; Annabelle Heart. She started tracking a strange string of murders that started in rural South Carolina that went down south. Then she found out about Annabelle Heart after tracking her down and receiving a few Recollections about her. Kimberly found out more and more about the girl and what she had become and realized that she was a monster. And then Kimberly realized that she was the only one that would be capable of stopping her, being the only person knowledgeable in the supernatural and what she is.

Thus, Kimberly tracked her all the way from South Carolina to Tampa by following the destruction.

Extra-Normal Experience ⫻ Kimberly is a ghost hunter after all. Even before taking up her rather peculiar career choice, she survived the battle with the Glutton. Coming out of the experience with knowledge of all kinds of being that only grew.

Shooting ⫻ While Kimberly knows a gun won't do too much good against an Apparition; she knows that there are other baddies out there. Which is why Kimberly has taken up to practicing the gun range and keeps a weapon on her at all times.

Photography ⫻ Kimberly was born to be a photographer. Even from a young age, she put any cheap camera she could find to good use. Now that her equipment and skills have advanced quite a bit, she has quite a photographic eye. With her camera never leaving her side, few things miss her eye for detail.

Cinematography ⫻ Kimberly was already a bit ahead of the curve with her expertise in photography. The moment she started recording her web series and taking classes, she entered a whole new area entirely. While she is no professional, she isn't a novice either.

Eagle-Eyed ⫻ Leading into the above skill, Kimberly has a very good eye for detail and is perceptive. Not even the most subtle movement gets past her.

Climbing ⫻ Kimberly has been working out and getting into shape, learning how to climb shit so she can do her ghost hunting schtick a lot easier.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Photographic-Teleportation, the ability to teleport to different locations using photos as a medium along with other abilities.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Kimberly's abstraction manifests in her desire to capture all moments and how she felt boxed into Farmer Hill. It's a fairly simple abstraction that is considered to be teleportation with a twist. If she has a picture of a location in her hands she can focus and teleport to that location in a flash of light, not unlike the flash of a camera. All she needs to do is focus, envision she's there, and it'll happen - but it takes a few moments to charge. It doesn't matter if it's digital or an actual photograph - but she works better with photographs in her hands. It's also possible for her to teleport through paintings and other such things long as she envisions being there. Photographic-Teleportation allows her to teleport anywhere on earth long as she has a photograph, but the further away she is the more time and stamina it'll take to teleport. If the location is about three meters away she can instantly teleport to it, but teleporting to say, China will take hours. In addition, Kimberly can teleport people with her long as they are close and doing the same thing as her. Kimberly can teleport to any point in the picture, she has found out with some tinkering - before she thought that she can only teleport to the spot the picture was taken. After practicing, Kimberly can rapidly teleport from one spot to another to confuse and overwhelm foes. Kimberly hasn't realized it yet, but she has one of the few abstractions capable of dimensional travel. In order to access it, it's simple; she just needs a photograph taken in another dimension.

Kimberly has access to two sub-abilities.

Photographic-Sealing ⫻ Kimberly hasn't realized it yet (nor will she ever most likely) but Kimberly went through a Semi-Awakening. Where she retained her main ability but she gained access to one powerful sub ability. It relates to her desire to face Apparitions and the Extra-Normal on an even level and still relates to photography. If she takes a picture of an Apparition she can seal it inside of the photograph; now this is no easy feat - she has to first battle the Apparition to the point where she can weaken it then take the photo. Alternatively, she can keep taking photographs of the Apparition until it is sealed. Once sealed, the Apparition will be trapped inside of the photograph until it is torn or damaged in any way.

Photographic-Scrying ⫻ This ability is rooted in how Kimberly feels as if photographs are just a window. This was also the result of her Semi-Awakening as she originally couldn't access it before. By holding a photograph, at will, she can see the location in real-time where the photograph was taken as a sort of scrying ability. She can see, hear and even smell everything that is currently going on at the location. This allows her to spy on any location remotely long as she has the photograph... she has abused it. If the photograph was taken far enough in the past she can also see into it as if it was a Recollections.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Kimberly's aura sensing is simple; she can sense the auras of objects and people that she has taken the pictures of for about thirty minutes. However, if the object or person is moved from the place where she first took the picture of it; then she won't be able to sense it any longer.

LIMITS ⫻ I'm going to skip the obvious and get to the meat. Kimberly can travel anywhere in the world but further away from her current position, the longer it'll take. She may be able to instantly teleport to a spot a few feet away from her, or take ten seconds to teleport twenty feet, but it requires a few moments of constant mental focus to teleport further. At this time, she has to stay still and focused or else she'll lose focus and the charge will be "reset." In addition, if the photograph is damaged in any way she'll have a harder time teleporting. Depending on the state of the photo she may teleport partially there or may not teleport at all. The act of teleportation is a very tiring and exhausting process while short-ranged teleportation is alright; teleporting to China will knock her out completely for a while. And don't get me started on teleporting to other dimensions. There isn't a limit to how many people she can teleport, long as they envision themselves being in the location of the photo, too. Kimberly needs a camera or photographic device in order to seal Apparitions and damaging the photo in any way will release the Apparition. Kimberly can only scry on one location at a time.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ The abstraction has a couple weaknesses and drawbacks. The mere act of teleporting is very disorientating, nauseating and causes vertigo - teleporting long distances only exasperates this issue. She may reach the point where she falls over on her face from teleporting too much. There's also another weird effect when Kimberly teleports... she finds herself unable to leave the bounds of the photograph for a few moments. To explain, say if Kimberly teleports to the picture of a beach - she won't be able to escape the beach and go forward for a few minutes. Its like invisible walls trapping her, and whoever she teleports with inside of their bounds. Of course, this is dependant on how far she teleports and how much. If she teleports a few feet then it'll pretty much instantly go away, but if she teleports to the other side of the city she'll be trapped in there for a few minutes. Limiting her mobility and making her easy prey... she will still be able to teleport but the more she teleports the worse this effect will get.

Sharon Reid's Abstraction

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Entomopathy, Sharon Reid's ability to dominate the minds of all insect and have them dance at her fingertips.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Kimberly received this abstraction from a friend of hers, who didn't want anything to do with it after the Glutton was defeated. Given the circumstances of how she got the abstraction, Kimberly could understand. Sharon Reid's isolation and inability to connect to people (and the innate desire to gain control of other people) manifested in the ability to connect to insects and find friendship through them. To utilize this abstraction, Kimberly has to feel the same type of emotion which she finds a bit alien herself. She understands how it feels to be alien, as her eccentrics don't endear her to a lot of people, but she has taken strides. Thus she can't utilize the abstraction to its full effectiveness. For example, Sharon Reid could use the abstraction in a radius of miles and could more or less control all insects within the bounds of Farmer Hill. Kimberly, on the other hand, can only dominate the minds of insects in the range of one whole ass mile. Kimberly can completely control the minds of all insects and command them to do whatever she pleases. Whenever she controls insects they do whatever she asks and overrides all of their base instincts until she releases them from her control. With the usage of this abstraction, Kimberly can control thousands of insects at a time, an absolute swarm of insects. This makes her amazingly powerful and versatile with few being able to attack her in a straight fight.

There are two abilities that Sharon had that Kimberly can't do for the life of her: the manipulation of insect biology. Sharon Reid's manipulation of their biology was near limitless and she can create any type of insect long as it made some type of biological sense. Kimberly, on the other hand, is unable to accomplish this and every time she tries she ends up killing the insect. So bummer. By taking baby steps Kimberly has learned to understand any insect's biology on touch and heal them. Just a baby step as she keeps killing them. As a side effect, insects follow Kimberly around whenever she has this abstraction "on", even if she isn't using her abstraction at the moment. They float around her, the longer she stays in one area, the more will appear. They'll ignore any actions she does so she could punch a hornet's nest and it will not cause them to attack at all.

AURA SENSING ⫻ Kimberly has two forms of aura reading directly connected to her abstraction - mainly if she's using it or not. If she's not using it, Kimberly can see the aura of all insects within a mile and a half radius of herself. She can discern what type of insect they are and what health state they are in at the moment. The second she activates her abstraction the ability changes; she will no longer be able to see an insect aura but instead the auras of everything they can perceive. From the environment, objects, and people. Most insects don't have senses on par with humans so their auras are fuzzy and harder to read.

LIMITS ⫻ Kimberly can control thousands of insects if they are within her range, but the more insects she controls the less fine control she has. She can make say a dozen insects do a bunch of different tasks and be able to multitask. If she controls a few thousand then she can only submit one command and they all follow it as a swarm.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ Kimberly is telepathically connected to the insects and this comes with some side effects. Controlling a large number of insects is very straining on her mind and causes some serious headaches and nosebleeds. After using the max of her ability it's going to feel like one hell of a hangover hit her. She's also telepathically connected to the insects and killing them causes a shock to her. Killing just one won't be something she notices, but killing a few hundred will hurt enough to knock off her control for a second and a few thousand will knock her out. Somehow killing a million will kill Kimberly too. Killing the insects with burns and cold weather will cause burns and frostbite to manifest on her body.

OTHER

As for cameras, Kimberly has a Canon AE-1 camera, and an instant print camera she got off Amazon. If she had to choose one, she'd chose the instant-print due to its usage. Due to her adventures, Kimberly has a collection of dozens of Apparitions sealed in photographs but she also keeps a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 on her for protection.

APPEARANCE

"Looks and brains... I feel like I hit the genetic jackpot."

Lynette is definitely a girl that stands out in the crowd. With her massive head of kinky black hair, and near-matching dark skin, she stands out in contrast to the predominately white Farmer Hill. Though, other than that, her aura and demeanor are generally subdued. She generally lingers in the back, out of sight, rather than taking the forefront. Even when she's moving, she doesn't really stand out with any kind of swagger, or confident walk. Her gait is relatively calm, and collected, she slowly takes steps one at a time - and also watches her step in case she steps in or on something. Her voice is soft, but she speaks quietly and doesn't really shout, or anything of the sort. She can be called mousy, and what gives her a bit of a librarian demeanor is the large, thin-rimmed, glasses, that she wears.

Lynette is definitely African at first glance - specifically Afro-Caribbean with the slight accent she has. What they don't know is that Lynette has a few South American countries in her blood - mainly Columbia, and Argentina, but it goes a bit deeper. Lynette's skin is such a deep black color, that it's hard to tell that she's anything other than black. Her skin is relatively clear - she has a few scars, but nothing that'd really pop up. She does have afro-textured hair, that is very curly, and forms a near-afro of sorts. Her hair is also so dark that it nearly matches her skin. Her hair is very clean and well maintained.

Lynette has plenty of tattoos on her, most of them are easily concealed by her by. On her shoulder, in particular, is the symbol of a raven. Placed over her stomach is a floral wreath that surrounds a moon With the flower being placed right above her belly on. Tattooed on her wrist is a dreamcatcher. On both of her legs, where they start she has a a fancy flowery wreath with feathers hanging off.

Lynette's build is very lanky, and thin, built up from a little bit of yoga and morning jogs to keep the weight off. Though, she definitely isn't without her curves. She has a "bubble-butt" that keeps the boys staring, and has a 36F cup which means she isn't a slouch in the chest department either. This would be great if Lynette had any real interest in romance. Probably the most defining feature about Lynette's face is her full pointed lips, and her small, brown, almond-shaped eyes. Her jawline is sharp, and her cleft-chin is hardly noticeable given how it blends into the rest of her face. Her abnormally large, crescent-shaped ears are thankfully hidden by her enormous afro.

PSYCHOLOGY

"Of course, magic, gods and the occult are real... and are a lot scarier than what I envisioned."

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Lynette is trying to figure out her family's past, and what exactly are the "Witch Mothers." After learning about the Glutton, she wants to get what she came for and leave.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Lynette takes a page from Albert Einstein, and says that her life philosophy at its basis is to create satisfaction for herself and other people and to create something from nothing. Which means that the only way she'll be happy is by learning, and finding out about herself, and her past that she didn't know. Not just for the sake of it, because it's something that she's passionate about.

SECRETS ⫻ One thing that Lynette keeps hush about is her fascination with occultism and her search into her grandmother's past. For starters, she doesn't want to sound like some devil worshipping kook - and the fact that she'll probably sound crazy.

DESIRES ⫻ Lynette desires learning, and creativity, though a part of her desires a partner or two to share all this knowledge with. Somebody who's intelligent as she is, and is capable of discussing all of her philosophical concepts with.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Lynette isn't quite sure of what she wants... or if she's even sexual at all. She's tried it with both boys, and even girls, and... it just didn't work. She just wasn't "feeling it." Maybe it was because she had other things on her mind and no time for romance.

FEARS ⫻ Lynette fears nothing in particular.

REPUTATION ⫻ Lynette's reputation in Farmer Hill isn't the best... she's known merely as a nosy girl, due to her habits of trying to dig into the town's past. Mostly the parts about the town's past that nobody wants to be uncovered.

PET PEEVES ⫻ People who expect her to conform to "norms" or other such things and think that she's strange for deviating from them are on top of Lynette's shitlist. She's dealt with a lifetime of being thinking that she's strange because she doesn't get along with people that well, and doesn't want any more of it.

QUIRKS ⫻ Has a habit of freezing when put on the spot, and can be thrown off by people sometimes. She also carries around her grandmother's journal around everywhere in her purse. Also signs her name with her middle initial.

BACKSTORY

"How did I go from New York to fighting a God? Here, lemme tell you."

Lynette's past was relatively simple: was born in New York as the daughter to a father that worked for one of the big companies situated there. He was no CEO, but he definitely had more than a living wage - all because of good schooling. Lynette's mother was a deaf woman who was one of his coworkers that were brought upon to show that his business is diverse. Eventually, the two got romantically involved, and he ended up marrying her - not before putting a baby in her! That baby was Lynette, the oldest child and start of a vast family with five other siblings coming after her.

Lynette and her siblings were given the best schooling money could buy - and with daddy Dominguez going nowhere, money kept flowing in. She was relatively close to her mother because her father was busy and she was left alone with raising the kids. Lynette was a bit different than her siblings because as where they sought out social interaction, Lynette sought out knowledge. She was far more academic than her siblings. She wasn't the most socially outgoing person, but she was by no means socially awkward. She was good enough with interactions to help her gain a friend or two but largely was ignored by the masses.

Which was fine with Lynette, her raging curiosity was what kept her motivated. Once she hit her teens, puberty hit and she grew out finely. Good enough to attract the attention of a few boys... but none of them went anywhere because it was difficult for Lynette to connect with them - or they just wanted into her pants. She pushed them away... and eventually, through the help of a friend, found the joys of video gaming. It was pretty much her fun outlet she used when she wasn't studying, or researching something. It came to the point where her sisters tried their damn near hardest to pull her away from the consoles, but it wouldn't work.

Lynette gained another hobby when she was digging through her mother's belongings one night - out of a boredom induced curiosity - and found a journal. A journal that belonged to her late-grandmother, oddly written in clear English. It spoke of a line of women that were known as "Witch Mothers," back in her home, and were practitioners of magic. Healers of a different variety that used their talents for good, or bad. Lynette became immediately fascinated with the practice and immediately went to research it online... only to find nothing of it. She looked into Vodou, but it was nothing like what the journal talked about (or even how the West depicted the religion).

So, Lynette launched a clandestine search into her past and roots, and surprisingly there are no traces or records of any ancestors past her grandmother - even though her journal explicitly said that there was a long line. Lynette also dug into any form of practice of magic or occultism and became quite fascinated by the various arts - especially witchcraft. She seemingly became an expert in it in the months that she had researched into it. However, she didn't find a trace of the Witch Mothers, or her bloodline - what she did find, was a little clue to her search.

The end of her grandmother's journal was burnt off, but it mentioned a place known as "Farmer Hill" being a "Nexus." Which was a weird phrase, but Lynette did some googling, and found Farmer Hill, Montana. Which was the only trace she could find. She had become near-obsessed with her grandmother's legacy and wasn't going to leave it alone at this. So, once she finished high-schools lined up... but she settled on Grand Ridge. Just so she can get to the bottom of this, then transfer to an actually good college.

She started towards her degree in STEM and as a way of blowing off steam, she participated in the camping trip later on that summer. Of course, Lynette came out of that incident scarred and getting something that she thought was limited to myth: magic. She accidentally set off an alarm at Grand Ridge, but she joined the support group and played along with the rest of the group... until the battle with the Glutton.

SKILLS & TALENTS

"I don't know everything, just what I know."

Spanish ⫻ Lynette has a lot of Spanish in her family, so naturally, she saw to it that she picks up the language. She had her family teach her a little bit, before taking a class in Spanish in high school to perfect it. She, naturally, is very skilled at communicating in Spanish and can hold conversations at length in Spanish. Though, in Farmer Hill, she just calls people names.

ASL ⫻ Another language that Lynette has picked up due to having a deaf mother was sign language. Since she was a little girl, she has played interpreter for her so things would be easy. So, naturally, she knows this like the back of her hand. She probably knows sign language as well as she knows English.

Knowledge ⫻ Lynette has always been a Grade-A student. She has spent a great amount of time learning as much as she possibly can from a variety of subjects through her schooling year. Mainly things such as English, Psychology, Geography, and so on. She's incredibly book smart.

Gaming ⫻ Lynette is also an avid gamer, and that's pretty much what she pretty much spends most of her spare time doing as has more fun with a controller and keyboard than chatting with somebody. She plays a variety of different games, her favorite being competitive games.

Occultism ⫻ Lynette has devoted a great deal of time in researching the various occultic practices of the world. It wasn't all that useful, and was just a little hobby of hers... but she's about to make great usage out of it.

ABSTRACTION

"Am I... a Witch Mother now...?"

SIGIL & LOCATION ⫻ In the middle of her chest, in between both of her breasts, is a glyph.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Elemental Glyphs, the ability to produce different elemental effects by drawing their glyphs on an object.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Lynette's abstraction is rooted in her fascination in the magical and occult parts of her past, mixed with her interest in spiritualism, and the symbolism of other cultures. She has an abstraction that is best described as Glyph Magic. How it works is that she basically draws one of five symbols on an object, and an elemental (or psychic) effect (or better described as a "spell") is created from the glyph. Lynette has access to six different elementals; the four classical elements. They are Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, each with their own symbol that needs to be drawn to access their power. After drawing the glyph, Lynette, at will, can command the glyph to use their spell. It can be a fireball, to a wall of ice, to a tremor shock, to even a miniature tornado. However, the scale of the glyph is what dictates its strength. A glyph drawn on her palm will be able to produce basketball-sized effects (Fireball, ice-ball, etc), while a glyph the size of a car is what will allow her to create the more powerful effects.

There is no real limit to how large or small a glyph can be. In theory, she can create a glyph that encompasses fields, or even the size of countries. That's only a theory, however, as in practice it'd take incredible amounts of time and effort to pull off, and it can easily be interrupted. In addition, Lynette can create glyphs out of any material, on any surface - she just has to draw the glyph. She can draw it in the dirt with a stick, or even draw it on herself with a marker. The glyphs have a "charge," or are a battery, that depletes with usage. The smaller "spells" use less of a charge, while the larger ones take up a lot more energy. The larger glyphs, of course, hold a bigger charge.

Below are the elements Lynette has access to:

Fire: Fire Spells are fairly straightforward as far as elements go. It's essentially conjuring flames, and Lynette has the ability to conjure said flames in a variety of different forms. From the simple fireball to a massive wave of fire. It's fairly flexible in usage, and the damage it causes cannot be ignored.

Water: Water is the element that Lynette has the highest affinity towards, which means this form of magic is the strongest, and she can do the most with it. Water comes in several forms: Liquid, gas, and solid. In its liquid form, Lynette is able to create water in a variety of different shapes. From a jet-stream, a whip, an orb of water, and more. In its liquid form, Lynette is only really able to create obscuring mist, and fog. However, in its ice form, Lynette is able to create ice in nearly any shape imaginable, limited only by quality. She is capable of manipulating existing water forms by creating a glyph near it.

Air: Unlike the other elements Lynette is unable to create air but has to manipulate existing air. It's as straightforward as manipulating fire: she can move air in a variety of different forms. From creating breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and even hurricanes if she's able to create a glyph large enough.

Earth: Probably the most destructive, and the element that she has the least affinity towards, but it's easily the most destructive. Earth allows her to manipulate all forms of stone, from natural to artificial. She can cause the earth to completely reshape, or send it flying at somebody. She's also capable of manipulating soil and plant life to a smaller extent. She can even cause tremors by drawing the glyph on the ground.

IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN ⫻ The mountain's graces allow Lynette to effectively cast spells without needing to draw glyphs first. She gains the ability to manifest "ghost glyphs" on objects by focusing really hard and creating them on the object. These ghost glyphs effectively are the same as her regular glyphs but have one usage before they disappear for good. It takes a few moments for them to manifest, and it takes a long wait before the larger ones appear. In addition, if she draws a glyph, she'll be able to cast larger spells from smaller glyphs, and far more efficiently.

LIMITS ⫻ To even access the meat of her abstraction, Lynette needs to draw it first. Which can be difficult in a lot of situations and circumstances. It may be easy enough to draw a small glyph, but in order to use the meat of her abstraction, she'll need to draw a larger glyph. In addition, the glyph needs to be neatly, and cleanly drawn, or else it won't be nearly as effective. Lynette can only have three active glyphs at a time (five when she's in the presence of the mountain). When she reaches this limit and creates a new one, the oldest glyph will immediately fade away. She can only interact with these glyphs in a five-meter radius, once she's outside of it, they are effectively useless until she gets back in range. The glyphs will also fade away after twenty minutes.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ The glyphs can be destroyed, by either supernatural or mundane means. Even smudging it greatly is enough to render it useless. In addition, glyphs can be destroyed by being exposed to their opposing element (Fire can be erased by a cup of water, air can be removed by a rock, etc). In addition, Lynette lacks any immunities or protections from these elements - and neither does whatever she draws the glyphs on. She can be burned by fire, frozen by ice, and so on... so it's ill-advised that she creates the glyphs on herself. Lest she wants to give herself a nasty burn.
