The Hound made a strange noise that sounded like an inhuman hissing sound as it was cut in half. Normally it would had regenerated all of this but it was taking a little while longer to fix itself. What didn't help was Kayla's all-out attack that nearly incinerated its form. It didn't make the same sound as before but when the flames faded the splinter group of the Coven could see that the Hound was nearly burnt to a crisp. A majority of its form was burnt away and all that remained where it's "skeleton" which was seemingly made out of a crystal with the black smoke flowing underneath it. The Hound still managed to climb back to its feet after reattaching itself and its body was quickly regenerating. The Hound merely stood there, being damaged by that girl's abstraction convinced him that it was not worth pursuing this little fight any further.

"Kayla!" Madison shouted as she flew over towards Kayla and grabbed her, picking her up from underneath her arm. She quietly muttered, "The Jaws." As skeletal Raptor claws appeared and grabbed onto Kayla's body as support as the two flew back into Madison's car.

Madison herself got in as she turned on the car, she looked in the rearview and saw the Hound... the size of a two-story building, standing in the flames. Completely unaffected. He just stood there. Madison decided to just start the car and floored it and left the thing in the rearview. However, they all heard his voice in their heads.

"Run... and never seek me out again if you know what is good for you. Dread the day you see me again as it will be the day I come to claim your soul. So enjoy your time Coven, because I can tell you that many of them are not going to make the coming storm. Goodbye."

The Hound disappeared into black fog, the same way he appeared and Madison could only sigh in relief as they left the thing in the rearview. God damn, Kayla was a firebird... and she did it all to save them. She looked like she was in shitty shape though, and she did remember Kayla saying that she got dehydrated after using her abstraction. Fortunately, Madison always keeps a bottle of water in her car and passed it to Kayla. "Here, drink up." She said. Madison sighed as she realized that she owed her a lot of Dairy Queen...

... And they passed one.

Wow, that was easy. After pulling a U-Turn Madison pulled into a spot as she placed a hand on Kayla's shoulder as her face was stained with dried tears. The whole situation was out of control and... all her fault. Madison sighed. She just needed something to comfort her and keep her mind off things. Madison said, "Hey, I'm going to treat you to whatever you want." They then got out of the car and Madison remembered something...

"... Oh, Hraesvelgr. I should have sensed you."

The Hound

Madison immediately whipped around on her heel and turned towards "Molly". Taking a few steps towards the girl she muttered, "The Jaws." As she was surrounded in a mass of ethereal purple bones, normally she would have been cautious about using her abstraction in public but she knows the normies can't see it. She grabbed Molly by the neck and lifted her into the air with all of her strength.

"Okay, why the fuck did the Hound call you Hrays-vel-something?" Madison asked, "You... what the fuck did you do to Molly? Start talking before I start breaking."

"Somehow?" Trevor said, all offended. He looked at Lyss as he scrunched his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes as well. "There ain't no somehow; I tracked little miss pancake ass-" He pointed at Emily. "-all the way here. Some of you dumbasses, when you hit up the Dairy Queen, didn't even change clothes afterward. And we aren't stupid, you morons have a similar body type and abilities as the people who attacked Greenwood. And I didn't comb through all your little Reddit conversations for hours for nothing. Like I ain't go-"

"Trevor," Maximilian said as he raised a hand.

"Heyyyy, you just used my slave name," Trevor answered.

Maximilian sighed, "Either way, it's our mission to take down all Extra-Normal organizations in Tampa-"

"Secondary mission," Sonya added with a cheeky grin. "Don't forget why we're here in the first place."

"...but let's skip this; you're the leader, so you're going to meet Supervisory Special Agent Liao," Maximilian said.

He turned his head towards Maya, "And you're coming with me, Trevor, cuff her."

"Aye, aye, captain," Trevor said as he put handcuffs on Maya. He put her hands behind her back and slapped those puppies on, but as he did so he couldn't help but say, "You're kinda cute, y' know?" He chuckled.

"Maria and Sonya, keep an eye on the rest of them," Maximilian said as he grabbed Lyss by the arms and began to carry her out through the door. Trevor followed as he dragged Maya along. "Everyone stay put and maybe we can work something out..."

"... You just got shocked, bro," Trevor said as he narrowed his eyes. "I think we're beyond working this out."

"Trevor..." Max said.

"Oh yeah, right," Trevor narrowed his eyes at Maya as he said, "I got you under my spell, so try any funny shit... well, you're going to see something real funny, ya' hear?" He said as he was prepared to use his abstraction on her... if she tried to attack anyone she would find herself breaking out into an intense laughing fit.

"Aye, aye, cap'n," Sonya said as she saluted Maximilian. She hopped up on the nearest poker table... as her features began to change. Her green eyes started growing to freakish size, her fingertips began to extend and web as her fingertips began to form bulbs like a frog. Her toes did the same thing as her mouth extended and formed sharp, vicious, teeth. "Rawr, I'm a monster, you don't want to mess with me. Just stay where ever you are and nobody gets hit with a dart. Got it?"

Maria, on the other hand, was handcuffing Emily just in case something happened. She transformed into ink and the unconscious girl was carried alongside her as she slithered her way to Sonya's side. When she got there she shifted back into her human form and left Emily's conscious body on top of the table.

"Cindy!" Meifeng shouted as she dropped her body weight.

The second that Riley pointed her hands at them, they just knew that she was up to nothing good. Cindy had to utilize her abstraction against whatever she was planning. Massive jagged spikes made out of an emerald-colored glass appeared in front of them that was tall enough to block whatever came their way. When the electricity hit, it harmlessly dissipated against the glass which at worse, only melted a bit.

"Alright, bitch," Meifeng shouted as she ejected the current clip of taser dart rounds and switched them to actual live rounds. "Surrender now or we're going to use lethal force."

Cindy placed her hand against the ground as the cracked and jagged concrete and asphalt that made the pathways around the casino were transmitted into the same green glass around Riley's feet. However, before the two could use their abstractions to synergize somebody walked up. Four people, Maximilian, Trevor, and two girls that were being carried.

"Supervisory Special Agent," Maximilian said over the ear-piece, "We found the leader and another person I want to keep close."

Meifeng grinned, "Good. Take this bitch down for me, she's an electrokinetic, be careful."

"Affirmative," Maximilian said as he approached her and attuned his emotional-field to render himself resistant to electrical damage. Unlike Meifeng, he was willing to try to talk her down. "Alright just surrender-"

A blast of electricity hit him and he didn't even flinch. Almost as if it was a wind.

"Alright, I'm going to let that slide just calm down and we-" She shot him again and it didn't do anything. "... That's not going to work." He sighed.

Trevor and Cindy brought the two prisoners before Meifeng as they went back into the command vehicle. Meifeng put her hands behind her back as Cindy held onto Lyss, and Trevor onto Maya. This was not good.

"... I presume you two are the leaders of this Coven?" Meifeng asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Um, well, we haven't been able to sort that out," Trevor said with a shrug. He pointed one finger at Lyss, "She said that she was the leader. But this girl, this one," Trevor pointed at Maya with a smile.

"She thought that it'd be an amazing idea to attack us and this one-" Trevor pointed to Lyss and remembered what happened. "... Said that she was the leader. Yeah, I don't know." He awkwardly repeated his previous point.

The first thing that Meifeng did was walk over to Maya and introduce her to the back of her hand. Then she went over to Lyss and did the same thing. There was a loud clap as Meifeng used every ounce of herself that she could pull. She narrowed her eyes as she said,

"Do you want to know how embarassing it is to be responsible for bringing a city under control and then a supernatural gang war breaks out in the middle of the city?" Meifeng hissed through her teeth as she stared at Lyss. Before her attention turned towards Maya, "And you... don't you ever attempt to lay a hand on one of my agents again or I'll kill you myself."

Meifeng took a few steps back and sat down in the chair, she crossed her legs as she pressed her fingertips together. "All I have to do is make one phone call - just one - and I'll have a kill order on all of you. So.." She said as she closed her eyes and shook her head, "... Give me one - just one - good reason why I shouldn't press that button."

APPEARANCE

"Fly as fuck."

Samson has the aura of an adventurer and the body of someone who goes out on those adventures. His body is very well-toned from years of working out, and a very physical job. Though he has the appearance of a tough guy, a powerful force, and that wouldn't be too far off from the mark. However, he's so cheerful that it's hard to take him as a threat. He gives off an aura of kindness, and companionship, above all else. He walks confidently, usually with his hands in his pockets, or something else.

Samson's body is very large and powerful. He stands at six-three but doesn't have that big of a frame. His frame is somewhat thin, with no bulging muscles for Samson! Though, he has been lifting weights, and working out, in the meantime. The one thing that makes Samson stand out in Farmer Hill is, you guessed it, his heritage. He's an African-American man, one with very dark skin, and an African-skull shape. His skin is fairly free from blemishes, but not scar-free. He has plenty of scars from injuries he received as a child and many more from the fights he got into. He has a fleshy cutting scar right underneath his eye.

That out of the way, he has an intricate pattern of tattoos. The first tattoo that he has is on his right cheek. It appears to be an eagle with its wings spread, covered in flames that are angled downwards. Like the phoenix is taking flight. The other tattoo he has is on the left side of his chest. This tattoo is of the sun and is very tribal-like. The "flames" of the sun extends far enough to reach his shoulder, belly and the top of his neck. His arms are covered in a tribal-style wreath of flames, starting below his shoulder, going up to his hands.

Samson's sigil is a massive snowflake that engulfs his back.

PSYCHOLOGY

"Lead, follow, or get out the way; choose one."

MAIN GOAL ⫻ Samson wants to live his life the best way... however, he wants to come to terms with the actions of his older sister. It was years since the death of their cousin Jordan Nichols and Samson hasn't come to terms with it. He wants to, first and foremost, get this out of the way as he seemingly cannot move on from it.

WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF THE COVEN ⫻ Samson wants to, first and foremost, jump down this rabbit hole that is magic and eventually confront his sister about what happened.

PHILOSOPHY ⫻ To Samson everything in life is about putting in work. He believes in hard work and reward. It doesn't matter what you're doing, long as you're passionate about it, you'll see it through to the end. Samson believes in showing off all the good work you do and never letting anyone threaten or take it. He'd rather die than let all of his hard work falling in on itself.

SECRETS ⫻ Samson wants to keep the fact that he's vulnerable, and bitter, to himself, as much as possible. He wants everyone to think he's a strong man, not one wracked with sadness, a man that has a future. Samson wants someone to help him, someone who can understand what he feels. Because he desperately wants to get over what happened all those years ago and is willing to do anything possible to achieve it.

SEXUALITY ⫻ Samson's totally straight without a doubt.

FEARS ⫻ Samson somewhat fears himself. He fears what will happen to him if he doesn't resolve these emotions of his, will he finally go insane? Or will it inhibit his ability to form meaningful relationships with people. That his obsession will consume him. He also fears betrayal and usually keeps people at arm's length because he's afraid of betrayal and never wants it to happen again. In his mind, if he keeps people away then they can't hurt him with knowledge.

REPUTATION ⫻ Samson's an outsider to Tampa.

FLAWS ⫻ Samson's a bit hurt inside... he's prone to explosive bouts of anger if set off and is hard to control once he gets under control. He's also incredibly prideful and mildly sexist and isn't willing to accept help that easily (especially from women as he feels that its the man's job to get things done). He also keeps people at arm's length and doesn't tell a whole lot about himself to prevent people from betraying him. He's naturally untrusting, especially of other men, and at times, ends up keeping vital information a secret.

BACKSTORY

"Look, kid, my father wasn't the best, but he had some wisdom. He told me to always see things through, never give up, and never show weakness."

Samson is from Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. He grew up in the hood unfortunately with his older sister... and he wasn't exactly the kind of kid that was great at social situations. He was shy, withdrawn, and constantly bullied because they saw an easy target. What was worse was that the hoods of Philadelphia were rife with gang violence and crime, the kind of life that their parents wanted to keep him from. He had an older sister, Madison Brown, and the two were pretty close as siblings. Madison helped Samson out with girls as they grew up and Samson did everything he could to return the favor. Like doing small things for his older sister constantly and giving up his enjoyment. His father instilled the idea of becoming a man in Samson relatively early on and that men needed to be strong, confident, and be able to bear the full weight of a family. Which made Samson take up selflessly and responsibility at an early age.

One thing that his father did was teach Samson how to fight - he took boxing classes as a kid and knew how to fight - because a man needed to defend his family. It came in handy when Samson was defending himself from bullies and other people, but he slowed down as Philadelphia was a city where fighting and violence took place. As a relatively tall kid, Samson was shunted into sports the second he could; and in this situation it was football. He wasn't the star player of his football team but he was good enough to attract the attention of a few females and get himself in the popular crowd. Well, Samson was more interested in the former than the latter but he appreciated it. It allowed him to go to parties and score more girls.

He made a friend named Aaron Sawyer and the two were more or less joined at the hip. Where ever Samson went, Aaron was right beside them and the two goofballs were having as much fun as they could. Though, things went through a huge change when shit went down with his older sister, Madison. The girl carelessly got into a car accident and got their cousin, Jordan Nichols, killed. Samson wasn't particularly close to Jordan but he could feel the effects of her actions. She was more or less exiled from the Brown family and his father constantly talked about how disappointed he was in his daughter. To the point where Samson started feeling the same way. He tried to connect with his older sister but soon as the time came she was gone and Samson hasn't spoken to her since.

However, a National Guard recruiter came to talk with Samson's school and the impressionable teen was convinced to go into the service along with his friend Aaron Sawyer. After they graduated they were shipped off to Fort Benning as an 11B, unfortunately, the two were in different companies but they met every Sunday at Church. It was the hardest experience of his life so far but he loved it in the end. Unfortunately, Samson wished that he went active duty but he was stuck as a National Guard. He decided to do the AGR work so he could get enough money for food and a place to stay. Again, he wasn't the type to work a desk job and it was the closest thing he could get to active duty. However, Samson made friends with a bunch of his coworkers, especially a girl named Sarah Cineheart. She had a weird name but the two were quite alike in terms of personality and the two eloped in a fit of stress relief the two's relationship got physical.

They started dating, but the two kept it away from the office, but Samson couldn't help but brag about it. Aaron heard about it and he was jealous of the two's relationship as he wanted Sarah, too. Eventually, this jealousy lead him to out their relationship to everyone and tell Sarah all the things Samson said they were doing. Needless to say, Sarah broke up with Samson and despite all of his attempts to get back together; they all fell apart. Samson was pissed off and eventually, Samson confronted his former friend and the two got into a violent fistfight in the parking lot of Aaron's apartment.

That was when something turned on in Samson; he Awakened his ice manipulation. He froze Aaron's hand... as fire came from his hands. The two screamed as it was fucking crazy and cut and run when the police sirens could be heard in the distance. Running home, Samson was confused... and blah blah blah explored his ability. However, he decided it'd be time for a change of pace. After putting in the paperwork, Samson transferred to St. Petersburg's branch of the National Guard, got all of his stuff, and left. He figured that Florida would be perfect for him.

Things were perfect as he got himself a nice little apartment in the middle of St. Pete and enjoyed it. He lived close to the beach and he could go out and party every night, starting anew. Though, he found himself wondering a bit more about the world of the Extra-Normal. Just to figure out his powers... and he heard about a Coven in Tampa and figured that he should give them a look. Well, long as they're not on any freak shit.

SKILLS & TALENTS

"Hooah."

Fighting ⫻ Samson came out of the streets and his father knew that he needed to defend himself by any means necessary. Samson's one helluva brawler and with his size, he can knock some teeth out. Though, he hasn't gotten in a direct fistfight in a while and doesn't intend on it.

Football ⫻ Samson, in his high school years, was a football star. He hasn't practiced it in ages but some things someone never forgets.

11B ⫻ Samson is an infantryman in the United States National Guard and knows all that jazz about shooting, combat, breaching, tactical movements, first-aid, hand to hand, etc etc. Though, the National Guard doesn't have as much training as he thought.

EXTRA-NORMAL ABILITIES

"Ice cold, baby!"

TYPE ⫻ Awakened.

ABSTRACTION ⫻ Cryomancery, Samson can create massive ice constructs in the enviroment.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ There's a bit of sadness in Samson and that manifested in the ability to manipulate ice. It's pretty straight forward as far as abstractions go; he can grow ice off himself and create ice constructs in the environment. His ability seems to be more geared towards creating ice constructs as he can instantly spawn something like blades in the environment or a platform to step on. He can create up to the size of a small building but it'd be pretty draining stamina wise and will take a bit of time. This naturally is pretty strong as he can create weapons and defenses to protect himself and his allies. This ability is relatively short-ranged, however, at like twenty feet. He can also telekinetically move the ice around in this radius. Samson has what he calls, an ice beam, it's a massive beam of ice that freezes whatever it comes in contact with and continuously grows ice off of it while he uses it. He can create two separate beams, one for each hand, or one large and powerful ice beam. This also gives him a freezing touch which allows him to freeze anything he comes in contact with.

LIMITS ⫻ The Emotional-Field dampers his ice creation somewhat. He can't seem to create ice around an Extra-Normal and his ice beam won't instantly freeze them. He can, however, still stab a motherfucker. Now, the ability to create ice is limited by his stamina, which means the more he uses it the more tired he gets. So he could create a giant building made out of ice but he'll feel like he just ran a six-mile run (those are a bitch btw). Samson has a range of creating ice constructs of about twenty feet, and he can fire the ice beam about fifty feet... but the further out it goes; the less effective it gets. So he could snipe someone with it but it'd only get hit with a harmless layer of ice. His ice manipulation is also affected by the heat and dryness of the area. If the area's too hot then he'll have a harder time making his ice constructs... which means he's already at a disadvantage in Florida.

WEAKNESSES ⫻ Samson's body isn't completely immune to the effects of the cold. Samson will gradually freeze his body and he'll become more and more sluggish as ice layers on top of him. He'll gradually grain frostbite on his body and could even freeze his blood (which isn't a way he wants to go). Heat also interferes with his abstraction and makes it harder to create ice in the environment and manipulate it. Also, there's the fact that heat melts his ice and pyrokinetics can counter his abstraction.

Samson is a redux of one of my first RP characters with a different power, personality, and backstory.

Anyways, here's my new character whom I'll introduce in the next chapter... which should be real soon if all goes well. I intend for him to be the straight man to the Coven's foolishness.
