That moment you've got too many rp ideas floating in your head, but you don't want to overwhelm yourself? Yeah... I'm right there, suffering in silence.

RP hunting is like finding the rare toy in the cereal box. Doable, but the time and effort is nearly more than I can bare!

That amazing high when you realized how far you've come in improving your writing. It's impossible to describe, but drowns you in a positive glow.

I love being a terrible person by making my PCs' lives miserable, it's art form that never gets old or boring.

It took Trixi a moment to translate, at least crudely, what the man had stated. Her head tilted in confusion for a moment while she ticked through what she assumed was gibberish and realized he was answering her last question, instead of considering her request earlier. She sighed quietly at the display but concluded he wasn’t going to make this easy. This meant she wasn’t required to hold back either as she pulled down her jacket further off her shoulders, discarding the dropped item with her right foot into the nearest wall.

She didn’t want the jacket overheating her during the match, her skin feeling the heat brushing against her skin while the magma pools casted them both in an orangish light. The lacking of it also increased her mobility in her arms. Trixi was hoping, deep in her mind, she wasn’t going to regret removing her jacket later if this large guy pulled a blade from somewhere unexpected like the last one. Through being naked made that very, very hard.

Inhaling slowly, Jake’s, her martial arts instructor, voice rang in her mind for the first time since this competition started. "The second you hesitate is the second you die. You must never hesitate." he said in a serious tone, reminding her that just because this man was unarmed didn’t mean he was helpless.

Besides, her last fight against the ‘werewolf’ in a man’s skin proved not everyone was as they seemed in this tournament.

Caution on her mind, her right hand reached for one of her batons. She slipped it through the straps, and grasped the handle before she pulled it out of the holder and snapped it out to its full length. She left her other hand open however. “Alright, let’s get this over with then.”

She saw little point in talking anymore causing her to move instead. Her right foot pulled forward as she started to cut the distance down in a steady walk toward Gonad, decreasing the 5 ½ yards between them at her own pace. Her body trying to keep a far distance between the pit's wall and the magma pool bubbling nearby. Trixi’s hands began to charge with her electrical energy, her eyes pulsed with excitement and promise of pain caused her to smirk. She let the faint, pleasant tingling start down her arm, focused into her palms, and then her fingers where if it was allowed to continue would create a charge in her left hand and the baton for later use.
@Drifting Pollen: The description of the arena describes the arena area as smooth, could you tell me exactly how smooth? Are you talking glass smooth or merely no loose rocks/pebble smooth here? This would affect traction, at least I assume it does. >,< Sorry for being technical, just trying to be fair is all and see my creative options/difficulties here. Two, I'm a little curious. >_>
@Fallenreaper

How about five and one-half? It may seem that I'm vague a lot, but I don't do that to abuse any systems. I just don't like overloading people with details.

I understand and didn't assume you were, but sadly I thrive a bit on details. Most my posts are a balance between vague and detailed for that very reason. More details allows me to see what you're seeing and keep me aligned with the scene's image. IF I lose that, it's rather hard to get back and then I make several serious mistakes over assumptions due to things not being mentioned. This is why I some times repeat what happens in my partner's post from how I saw it. This way if I'm seeing it wrong, it can be pointed out and corrected in the OoC until we're on the same page again. It can be a pain but it's a good way to solve issues before they arise really.

And yes, 5 1/2 (about 16.5 feet) sounds perfectly reasonable as it's likely they will both be cutting the distance between each other rather soon. Currently adjusting my post and such so should be up shortly within 1-2 hours. ^-^
Tis up!

While writing up a reply, I noted you stated several yards away in your post. How many exactly so I can imagine the scene better, because several can mean anything from 4-7 or more to some people and distance can make all the difference in a fight.

Yuh

She's usually so good at being paranoid.

Btw, anyone need a post from me? In addition, if no one else claims the last rune (or a Herb Kit) in both Lyn's Hunt and Catacombs then they will be assumed not to be brought along and that's one less aid you have to use. Considering the IC's current troubles, less healing might be a very, very dangerous thing since Lyn's Hunt is only starting and already one individual is seriously damaged. While the Catacombs is only half done and several individuals are likely getting tired, wounded, etc which means they will need healing afterwards. I'll wait another day or two to hear from those who haven't made a claim for something, then if there's no reply I will assume they didn't take the supplies and null what is left over.
We have a task for the Kaggath characters currently not on the 18:41 timestamp:

Get to it.

In fact, go beyond it.

Right now things are dawdling, with people starting to establish a "post order" of sorts. Considering the schedules of aftermath players, such only slows everything down. It does not benefit anyone.

To have events move forward, people should try to keep their characters at the forefront of events. Also, while escape would be ideal for someone to succeed at, we won't make anyone's escape automatic. You players will have to work for it. If you don't, we'll just have it fail.

I have to agree with Ellri. This post order stuff really draws out the rp and while it's normal for a rp to have a lull, it makes it harder for the escape to happen on day 3 IC folks. That's the point we need to get to.

I suggest a rule of thumb when considering waiting: 3-4 days since your last post. If someone has posted but it's not your turn, you should feel free to post a reaction to it despite the 'order'. Unless someone states otherwise in the OoC that they are working on the post on a set due day, like tomorrow or the day after, then don't feel like you're being rude because that just gives them more to write with.

In addition, Ellri's correct. Just because it seems like the GMs have a plan, doesn't mean it will work in a fool proof fashion. If there's no to little player effort, outside GMs PCs, then the odds of ANYONE actually getting off the ship WILL NOT happen. A flaw plan is much better than none at all. IF you're wondering about your options or have an idea you're curious about working then put it up in the OoC. WE, the GMS, can inform you about issues (Which doesn't mean you all can't solve them with your own skills) that might arise and you can take into account increasing your odds.

Indeed, even Alaira's paranoia has limits.

Lol, orly? XD

I don’t understand the obession either. But I'm here because Fallen is a terrible lovely person and I'm working on a CS for this.

I am, aren't I? :P *snuggles*
While Grey wasn't one of the people that received a rune, he did just come back from a bandit slaying mission. Would it be plausible to have some of the equipment he brought available? Like perhaps a rune similar in function to a flashbang? Also, Alaira is far too proud to have any sort of extra equipment.

Even if it's just for the event Lyn gets hurt on the hunt?

Add on

The herb kits and runes, seriously, wasn't originally for any of the hunters, but in the event if they should find Lyn injured and in need of important medical attention immediately. No matter how fast Alaira is, I don't think she would forgive herself if Lyn bleed to death because she was too prideful to keep a herb kit that could buy her precious time. Sam, after all, rather be cautious than sorry considering her Mother's past events.

Also, part of me wished you had pmed and asked before I started asked about the runes because I could've easily given you one. Namely whipped out one with limits and strengths like I have done for several other Runes in the IC. However, right now giving you a flashbang seems a bit convenient and odd for IC flow. I say this for one reason: mainly Grey could've used it a few times now and gotten everyone safely, including the Naga out. However, the herb kit is most likely standard since recent stuff and while he doesn't need it, it would be helpful for others.

Depending on the mission location I can likely create a crude equipment kit, but it wouldn't be much sadly.
