I love being a terrible person by making my PCs' lives miserable, it's art form that never gets old or boring.

You say that as if she doesn't know how to cook. XD

It's not so much "desperate" as it is...Crippling the crew's front line. Alex is a vanguard biotic, where Charge and Nova alone would probably take a heck of a toll on her calorie usage. If Alex's rations are taken, she will be forced to eat the same food as the crew.

So, unless the crew food is fortified with the necessary nutrients and calories for a active and physically strong biotic vanguard...she will probably be forced to eat a LOT of food, just to do her job. Combine that with a Krogan and a few asari...

She's levo... drop Vellios off on some planet infested with Varren, leave him there and trust me, you'll have plenty of meat in a short time. He can hunt ladies and gentlemen and well.
Also, no one is leaving the ship a virgin, because it will fuck us all.

Hahaa, promise?
<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

A quiet drunk!? goddamnit

The dangerous type should you consider killing him in that mode, his worse side comes out in that event. XD

<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Bah. Drunken sex then. Though...dunno how alcohol would act with a biotic. We got any research on that?

But seriously, Tonka...don't do it. Not unless you want like...a quarter of the kitchen gone in a day or two from her alone.

Likely it's more mental as I think Jak drank and had no issues that I can recall.
Kasyra's approach to the sex would be a lot more casual if it was easier for her people. She'd like to have a lot more, but every time she does its guaranteed weeks of sickness at least, even in cleanroom...

Vellios is going to have to earn her trust to get her out of the suit, especially as half the galaxy wants to see Quarians naked for curiosities sake as much as anything else...

And @Thundercrash, I'm sure you'll adapt to the group in no time. We're overall a pretty friendly bunch.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, I shall confirm that Fallen and I are indeed a couple...

He will try, she's likely seen his flirting before so it shouldn't be a surprise for her when he starts. Though when she mentions his wife...he'll inform her of what happened.

<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

What Vellios says: "I don't want to talk about my past."

Alex hears:

Booze therapy sessions work wonders.

HAHAA, likely but worse part... he's a quiet drunk. XD
@Fallenreaper This is really the reason that Tia made her deal with the Eclipse and is so desperate not to break it: she's good in a fight and difficult to take down, but if people keep trying then eventually somebody will succeed. Her greater experience than Vellios would give her an advantage, but it would be a small one, and not something that she would be willing to stake her life on. Compared to most of the asari that I'm sure we'll encounter, Tia is still an amateur.

I've done a few RP's before, but this will be my first ME attempt. The whole "longer view" idea interested me, and I'm really just feeling this character out as I go along. I don't know for sure what she'll do until the moment I have to write it. Plus, I think we all know how easy it is to fall into the "raar, my character's an uberbadass who can kill a thresher maw bare-handed and blind" mindset.

Depending on how things turn out, though, Tia just might take Vellios up on that offer. Both the sparring one and the more personal relationship. What I figure, it's been probably 70 years or so since she last "embraced eternity".

I'm sure but I figured I explain my reasoning so you didn't think I was honestly discrediting her. Providing more than one reason is more than good enough for me, though I promise my PC will leave their mark at least no matter what.

As long as she doesn't try to invade his memories, I wasn't joking about him not wanting to share his hell, he wouldn't mind either. ;)

If you'll all excuse me, I need to dunk my head in bleach and hope it burns away the images that brought up.

You'll never get it all!

You'd be surprised at how difficult it is to enjoy someone's company when you spend the whole time thinking "how is this person going to screw me over".

It would still be a concern of Tia's, since she's learned to be kind of paranoid. It's the same reason why she'll still wear parts of her armour even when she clearly doesn't need to (often sleeping in the stuff).

Old Vellios could likely understand, but present has learned to relax a bit. His whole view is that you're die some day, by old age or prematurely, and worrying about everything will only make the latter happen that much faster.
I think that closes this match as I already stated her falling down so it was nice fighting you.

I would love to learn more about Arima. Family connections can usually reveal aspects about a characters that even the character wasn't aware of. Vellios losing his family is an unimaginable hardship, committed relationships after the fact (even with years in between) could very well be right off the table. It would seem jarring for him, as a character, to be interested in commitment. Regardless, I wanna know moar.

When I read crocodile I cackled. Anything scaly makes a good comparison note for Turians <3.

A lot of his history was watered down for the summary or you all would've had another page or more to read in addition to what's already there except the Spectre mission, for example he knows anatomy because as a ten year old he started to dissect corpse of his fallen crew-mates to learn how to do the most damage and quickly. This included asari, krogan, turians, batarians, and more (humans came later which disturbed his fellow soldiers and got him put through therapy again.)

Armia and him met through communications, she was helping his squadron to a evac when they were retreating. He flirted and flattered her some causing them to get a bite to eat afterwards, which lead to more. She saw the worse part of him when he tried to go cold turkey on the drugs. The bad part, he never told her why he took them and when she tried to wake him from a nightmare...she moved and barely got out of the way, discovering he slept with a knife, when he instinctively stabbed in her direction. This made them separate for a few months while she started to research officially into his background and learned about the Haides incident before making a final realization if she wanted to be with him or not. He told her flat out: He wanted his hell to be his own and if she couldn't understand that, then he understood if she left permamently. Personally, I think Armia held out the hope he would one day tell her the whole story but he never got the chance when Jurdon killed her and the children.

<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Huh...interesting list actually.

He is going to have his work cut out for him...kinda.

Indeed, though that is actually just options as I said. He'll flirt with everyone, including Vallis, even after learning it's not going any where. (it's like being straight and flirting with your BBF outrageously, which can get bad with my Dad and his best friend. XD)

<Snipped quote by Dervish>

DON'T USE THE SQUIRT BOTTLE. SHE'LL JUST ENJOY IT MORE.

Getting wet was always the most fun.
<Snipped quote by Dervish>

Also fair. I suspect a large part of the confusion comes from the fact that I'm a newcomer, whereas several of you seem to have worked together frequently before. You can have a fairly good idea of what each other means, but I'm the unknown. I can understand how you would feel the need to be a little cautious.

Just better hope that Tia doesn't find that doll. She'd be rather tempted to burn it

I only know Dervish, Sundered Echo, Zombiedude101 (apocalyptica, which if I think he looks hard enough he might realize that Vellios was based off a reckless Cajun of mine in that...), and Rtron really. XD I just mainly blend well with people.
<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Vellios: "Oh fuck, what bet did I just lose?"

"Considering you were drunk... I couldn't help push you over the edge and see how far you would go. It seems you went pretty far, darlin'."

<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Yeah. I wouldn't say it's a trump card, but I think it would certainly tilt things in one's favour. Let's just say that it would be a very intense fight, and whoever won still wouldn't be in very good condition afterwards.

True, but my point still stands. I submit to the other stuff really, as there's evidence to some pretty rough customers in that group, and Vellios would likely die if they came down to trying to kill each other, but as you mentioned the one standing would likely never be the same again. He would make sure she couldn't take anyone down easily again and would remember him, namely as he isn't afraid to die really. While he won't know this, he's already scheduled, along with Nas, my wheelchair Cabal, to die within the Reaper Wars while trying to defend a planet from Reapers. This rp is dated at least one or two years before @Sundered Echo's Underworld Mass Effect rp before it died and another year or two before the events of the games.

If I came off as aggressive, that wasn't the intention. In addition, I assumed you weren't trying to be either so right now as far as I'm concern this is merely a conversation.

To come back to the point for a moment: The bad part about asari is too many people pick them because of that one single reason you mentioned and it becomes rather hard to have any fun in a fight scene if you're automatically going to lose to someone whose lifespan is always older. This logically, for me, also should extend to the NPCs which means Vellios should never take on an asari NPC who is about x amount of age beyond his own because he will lose and die. The bad part... all asari are beyond his age. This limits the rp's variety factor unlike the games and basically forces me into a corner I can't get out of and have to let the other asari on the team handle that threat and handicap Vellios.

So, that's mainly my reason for discounting that bit of logic because if I went with it for Tia then any NPC should be allowed the same logic. And yeah, Vellios' usefulness for the team plummets really without her crippling him.

I picked turian because honestly, Vellios was fun to make and I wanted a male PC rather than a female.

@Thundercrash And that's fair, but I think you might have missed the tone of the conversation, and understand how your reply might have been taken as somewhat antagonizing. I know all too well how nuissance of tone can be lost over test, so no worries, but I definitely want to cut off potential drama before it happens.

We're all friends here. Now, Vellios, Tia, kiss. *smashes two dolls together while making childish smooching sounds*

Vellios: "Are you kidding? She might eat my face off..."

And sorry Dervish, I wanted to explain my reasoning but it took a bit to write it down and I didn't get up before you forced us to drop the subject. However, while they might end up seriously hurting each other in a real fight I wouldn't mind Tia being a sparring partner later on down the road for him. They could both likely teach each other at least something I hope.
<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

Cackling rn at the list.

That's a really sweet note regarding his relationship with his wife. Mind blowing sex and 1000% trust despite not knowing every detail. It's a pretty realistic take, especially how she's not created solely to provide tropey ~man-pain~. By that I mean you wrote his past connections well. So hella thumbs up 4 u :)

His wife, Arima, I think was her name (have way too many turians in my head), knew he had issues. His childhood reports aren't exactly a secret and she did get the basic gist of them, but didn't understand the depth of the trauma he went through. Hard for anyone to understand that without experiencing it themselves though with the ideas I gave the GMs, some might get the chance.

Dex... I would say is in a similar boat in terms of building emotional relationships or commitments, she doesn't trust easily. Her work as a spy made her cynical to the most extreme. She made a living off of selling secrets, while she would never regret the decision to start spying but it leaves something to be desired when it comes to commitment. On the same token she's not afraid to make connections. She could trust someone to know how to do their job but she couldn't trust just anyone with herself. Her relationship with Gal took a long time to build.

Vellios is rather hard, even for me to predict fully. I think he'll go one way, then randomly he'll take the risk. However, seeing him in a committed relationship is hard and doesn't feel right for him. I think the deep seated reason is he feels like he's staining Arima's, Kilia's, and Tiberian's memory by trying not to be alone.

Then again much like anybody who has gone a few months without sex her libedo wouldn't take much convincing. If Vellios isn't interested in an emotional relationship than I can see it working out. I'm still trying to figure out different aspects to her personality, so Vellios might not see her interested in any degree right away.

I'd say it'd be an optimistic maybe.

Vellios is patient, very patient like a crocodile which is the scariest aspect of him.
