@SimpleWriter Oh wait, I thought that just said week. Hah hah, sorry about that.
I've put up a notice about sudden leave. Taking leave is totes understandable and letting us know that your schedule might force you away at times would be preferred.
@Rockerman403 And he's all out of bubblegum...
So, as per orders, the two Guardians were to proceed to the West, as carefully as they could, as stealthfully as they could. Morningstar reached the outside of the castle and hovered fifty feet in the air to have a brief look around. No Garlock. He was already on the move. She wouldn't find him easily until he blew something up, most likely. She sighed at this.

Never liked that cat, no matter WHAT kind of powers he contained...

From here, she immediately soared into the sky, gaining more and more altitude. The higher she went, the harder it was to see her, and soon she was just a tiny dot up there, maybe less so. Most importantly, she was up here alone. No dragons or other creatures around. It was peaceful and pleasant, allowing her to relax a little, and let the tension from before drain away.

I will find the answer to this, somehow... But for now, I've a mission to perform.

Now, she could see ALOT from up here. From her point of view, not only was a vast distance of the west visible to her, but also the north-west and the south-west. Star spotted the heavily-decayed area to the north-west, but it was more north than west, to be handled by one of the others, no doubt. She focused her attention ahead and down, keeping her eyes on the forest and what lay beyond it. That was when she spotted it. Even from this height, it was difficult to miss that army. They were like ants to her from up here, but they were an army. The hellspawn looked from the army to the area that was more northern for a moment.

Ahhh... They just came from a battle. Hmmm. Now, do I watch and see what they do, for a while? Find out where they go? Or...do I crush them in order to keep the Cathedral safe from discovery?

Quite the conundrum for the great harbinger, but then...she remembered that Garlock was going to come across these guys. That being the case, it was probably best to see what HE was going to do with them. If the explosions started, or if for some reason she thought any of those people could see her from way down there...she would attack.

Stealth was something that a cat could accomplish, especially when alone. As soon as Garlock had teleported to the surface - in front of the westward-facing wall - he changed into a small black cat with sleek fur. There were movements in the woods, some of which might flee from the disturbance, while others would not. If any presence in the woods were feline by any means, they would not be panicked. All creatures of this type would feel comfortable around the Bakeneko, and never threaten him or BE threatened. It would be in their blood and instincts to understand that he was the big cat, the head tom, numero uno gato, and so on. So, he embarked into the woods and...

...ummm... Well, he didn't really sense any observers, so he decided to treat the order of stealth with a bit of 'Meh', and started singing in a deep tenor voice. Garlock leapt from branch to branch, to forest floor, to zipping around trees, and repeated as needed. Now, we will agree with you that having him doing this might be something of an attention-grabber, but...as soon as his ears grabbed the distant sound of unnatural movement - armored figures - he stopped doing this, and was all "Meow! Mrow! Brrreeowr!" from then on, and observed that there were a number of soldiers on the move. They didn't seem like anyone that he knew about from the world so-recently gone. These were new...

From his hidinng place, Garlock grinned...and then vanished.

He teleported to a point in the woods that was ahead of the whole entire army by at least a hundred feet. From there, he came out into the open...as a cat in play. He hopped and bounced, chasing at bugs, and then chased his own tail for a moment. Then, he plopped onto the ground as the army was on the approach, squirming around as cats do. Basically, he was giving them the cute cat routine.
Okay, a little time has passed and a little discussion has been made. It sounds like there is some positive support for the cat to be in charge. Therefore, unless anyone has any compelling reasons not to, we'll put Tribunal Cassius as the de facto leader. I say de facto because, of course, this group os really led by imperatives, and he's mainly a deciding factor in how to execute actions towards those goals.

To put a pin in it: At no point should anybody who is not in charge think they're not fit TO lead anything. The cat-man appeared to have the better strategy at the time, which essentially gained him the Zen vote.

Now, I do not know if everyone is using Kaze's large vessel as the main support vessel or not. Zen is not because his gunship is connected to him and essentially part of his body.

If there are other things that need to be hashed out, please say so.
@Eviledd1984 Zen does not care WHO leads, only HOW leads. Meaning, it must be a sensible tactic, given the situation.
@Eviledd1984 You're not on this planet to find Samus. You're on this planet to see where Samus went. Additionally, Zen will weigh in - since this is approximating the discussion on the way - that he is the only one who is not at risk of infection, so he is the only one that can be safely separate from the group at extended periods of time. Cassius is the one equipped to perform extra quarantine field work. This cannot be performed if you're a long way away. Everyone else may find ways to recharge field units for themselves, but they cannot do what the support guy does. They specialize in other fields of research and defense.
@Gordoth Sure, man. Roll dem bones.
So! From the top...

There was a job, apparently, that this creature - This elf? No, that can't be... - wanted done that was apparently up north. He didn't lay on the specifics of whatever it was. He just seemed rather desperate and scared. Something told the dragon that this man was not really in control of events here, that he may not even be in control of nearly as much funds as he claimed that they were going to reap as a result. It seemed more like he was so in need of assistance or to keep things in line that he would promise anything. Transparent and weak... But even still, one wondered just what it was that he needed performed so badly.

Unfortunately, before any further information could be gleaned, there was a problem. Or rather, the continuation of a problem. As far as the dragon was concerned, that ork was handling things, which allowed him to re-focus onto different matters, such as the job and perhaps more conversation with the demon. However, in the midst of the issues that the Ork was trying to halt, the Paladin - Who do you shout 'Dammit!' to when there are no more gods? - had gone completely out of her mind, with a shout that was WAY TOO LOUD to be considered normal! The scaley warrior again wanted to shout at the Paladin from his memory, but he stopped himself and shook his head, remembering that that time was gone. He was not where he use to be. This was not a Paladin of the Sacred Flame.

It didn't help that the man he'd put in his place before was now making said woman think the dead gods were on her side as she attempted to strike down the peacekeeping ork. The shouting was starting to get on his nerves. Honestly, you give off ONE triumphant roar, and everyone believes they need to be the object of attention now. Well, that was quite enough of that. As the elf was now appealing to someone who...who smelled dead, the dragon decided to quietly draw out the pole-arm that was on his back... And once a few particular actions played out, he simply slipped in to get somewhere out of the Paladin's line of sight to bonk her on the head with the flat of his weapon, trying to knock her out.

"Forget the gods. Heed the words of Endrokin, and shut your wailing mouth."
