Mobile Suit Gundam: The Freedom of Devils

Unfortunately the Gekko manga was never officially translated into English, and the only fan translations I can find only go up to chapter 4, so I don't have a strong idea of what happens in it(I'd love it if you would prove me wrong on this, because I've been wanting to read it).

So obviously the more the merrier(up to a point), but if both of you are willing and able, I've had very successful three person RPs before.

Let me go into what I expect:

I'm not a stickler for post size, and in fact I think in a lot of situations in an RP, longer posts actually make a lot less sense. So if you're wondering if reading posts and writing responses will be a whole ordeal, don't because it shouldn't be.

I'd rather have a short post that moves the story than a long post that details every aspect of your sword swing.

I'll be stricter on lore, but all that really means is that if you goof(or if I do, I don't remember everything and might forget something important) you'll have to make an edit. I'm not gonna be mad if you mix up ahab reactors and alaya vijnana systems.

If you're willing to make this a collaborative project, I'd love it if you take initiative, and I'll accept anything you include in a post(including NPC actions and important plot events) unless I have a very good reason not to. And in the latter case, we'll stop to discuss what is happening in the story so that everyone stays on the same page.

If you want to claim a name on that list, feel free. I know we haven't finalized a decision to move forward with the RP, but if there's a name or number that calls to you, say so now.

And Martian, you said you had an urge to write a mobile suit fight, but it's been a while since uou saw IBO, I'm not trying to be an ass, but remember that the mobile suit combat in IBO is pretty distinct in comparison to the other shows in the franchise. It's mostly melee combat, and there's no beam weapons to speak of. In gravity, they usually stay on the ground too. Not a lot of flying around except in space(though there will probably be a lot of the RP that takes place in deep space).

I think that's accurate, although there's a few I'm familiar with that I don't know where they are or who owns them(Dantanlion and Gremory for instance).

I also didn't know there was a canon Seere.

I've also seen what looks like official development art for a handful of others, but we can ignore them.

There's also TONS of fan art of gundam frames, so there's a lot to pick from if you want reference art that doesn't belong to a canon suit.

Alright, two people. I think if there was a third, and I knew we were all dedicated we could start it. I think it would also be a lot more collaborative than just GM player stuff.

You should know that I will be pretty strict about keeping to the naming convention and appearance of the Gundams in this. What I mean is in the show(and other properties) the gundams are all named and numbered after the demons in the Key of Solomon. So you have ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos, named for the 8th demon in the list.

So we know there are 72 in total, and the lovely thing about it is that most of them are canonically unaccounted for. So there's tons of room for fan stuff like this without stretching the bounds of lore too much.

I have dibs on ASW-G-36 Gundam Stolas, bu the by.

Billy hates confrontation, and probably deflected all "What's your problem with me?"

Instead of admitting that he thinks Connor's jokes are mean and that the jock crowd kind of sucks.

Weirdly enough, I think this leads to them being pretty civil to each other(if not necessarily close or friendly) for the last year or so at school.

@Sweven7 He was out in Senior year, at least at school. His parents didn't find out until he graduated, and I've just decided it's a large part of the reason he abruptly left home(though the story he tells is that it was because his parents didn't approve of his band).

I get the sense that they're more alike than either(or, Billy anyway) would like to admit. So they may have had a sort of double sided relationship. Maybe Connor secretly envied Billy for his ease and self assuredness(or maybe he was attracted to those traits, depending on how honest he was with himself he might not know which), but Billy found him irritating because of his school spirit and insistence on fitting in. Not very fair on Billy's part, but he was a teen.

Freshman year, Billy for his part is still transitioning from church going band geek to goof-off theater kid. They were dropped off at the mall by their respective parents(maybe her brother was secretly tasked with keeping an eye on them, under the guise of hanging out with his own friends). There just wasn't any chemistry, maybe this is when Sara started to realize she wasn't into guys.

Billy's parents asked "what happened to that nice Sara girl?" for years after.

I'm saving my post until everyone has gotten in, because I think it's very on brand for Billy to show up last.

Jack: Billy would have been insistent on staying in her ever shifting circle of friends. I'll leave it to you how she took that.

Mier: Billy would be decent to him, but probably didn't have a lot of interest or common ground to form any real friendship.

Sara: if she helped with theater or school talent shows, they would be well acquainted. If I'm reading her right, they both have a people pleasing streak that probably put them together on the same tasks a lot. If you're cool with it, maybe he asked her out once, got rebuffed and kept his distance since.

Hanna: Billy was well liked, but in high school that's not the same as popular, and for the most part they didn't really move in the same circles. They did, however, follow each other on Instagram, and actually still do(though, for his part Billy is only vaguely aware of the fact).

Genesis: I think they could easily have been "party friends." They'd go out and drink together, but not really because they liked each other. When sober they probably detested each other's company, so I think they'd have had a tempestuous relationship if they had any at all.

Lucas: Feel free to reject this, but I think they might have been close until they both abruptly moved out of their respective homes after graduation. Two not-quite-out queer teens gravitating toward each other over illicit smoke breaks.

Freya: Billy would be an ever present face at house parties thrown at her place. They would be as close as she would let them get, so I leave that to you, and we can discuss it at more length if needed.

Ben: If someone brings up Benjamin Moore, Billy will be adamant that they must be making him up.

Conner: I expect they hated each other. I can see Conner jumping in on some jape of Billy's, and simultaneously spoiling the fun, and stealing attention away.

I wrote that Billy doesn't really roll in her social circle, so I think it's actually kind funny if she secretly admired him in a way, but didn't talk to him directly much.

So I'll keep mine like that, but make a slight edit to reflect that he was vaguely aware that she followed him on Instagram.
