Current No point posting your writing online if you don't care about praise.

Is the rioting and BLM brought up yet?

Honestly, I don't get the grief given to SAO when there's stuff like Mushoku Tensei where the MC actively lusts for underaged girls. And it's the most popular isekai in Japan.

Also, it's kinda annoying going back and forth writing short replies since I got other stuff to do and that just interrupts my rythm.

As Leila left the town, she saw Vreskrr blowing a kiss at her from a distance. She had no idea why the demoness did that but it certainly made her feel annoyed. Like she was playing with her, and not taking her seriously at all. She reminded her of those knights that laughed at her when she told them she wanted to join them.

"Hmph, demons and their arrogance..." she grumbled.

Entering the woods, she was glad to see how the forest seemed to be unaffected by the disaster that hit the village. She could still hear the birds chirping on the trees, and she saw some squirrels frolicking around on the branches. Hmm, birds and squirrels. They should be able to use them too for the ritual. But, since she already said she would catch some deers, might as well aim for a deer.

After walking for a good 15 minutes, she finally found her prey. In front of her, nearly hidden in-between trees, was a deer. It didn't seem to notice her, as it was busy eating the grasses growing underneath it.

Leila cast her enhancement magic to her feet. She then leaped towards the animal so fast it had no time to react. And before it could escape, Leila crashed her sword's blunt end into its head, knocking it unconscious. Of course, the attack was enhanced too. She then carried the deer on her shoulder without even flinching, thanks to her strength enhancement magic. She then walked back normally to the village. No sense in wasting her mana for nothing.

Back in front of the statue, she put the animal to the ground. "Here's your deer," she said to the monk girl. "Don't worry. It's still alive. I merely knocked it onconscious."

Marianne saw the effect of the roar immediately. The Skavens immediately scattered to the four winds, as fear gripped their hearts and minds. Marianne would have said they were cowards, if not for the fact that she felt fear herself from the roar. And she was standing far away from its source. Imagine what strength would it have on point blank range.

The dwarves used this opportunity to rally their strength and morale, countering back the skavens that had them on the ropes just a while ago. However, they viewed their party as enemies too, as they aimed their crossbows towards Grendrick. She just hoped the lycan could dodge their bolts and get out of there as soon as he could.

The melee fighters of the group charged forward. They attempted to intercept the skavens running across the bridge right towards her and the other support fighters. Most of the skavens would refuse to engage and just ran past them, but a pair of brave, or foolish, skavens thrusted their spears towards the orc.

Marianne knew this would be her time to act.

She willed her insects, all of her bees, towards the approaching skavens. They all eagerly swarmed out from every hole of her dress, from her sleeves, from her feet, and some even crawled out from the white underclothes that covered her chest. They flew with one purpose, to delay the movements of the skavens as much as they could.

Marianne could hear the skavens' horrified shrieks as her bees swarmed over them. They all tried to shoo them off, but their efforts were in vain, as the bees could easily dodge their swings with their superior speed. And just after one minute, and hundreds of bee stings, the skavens could feel their muscles weakening, and their heads turning dizzy. Sluggish and disoriented, they would be an easy prey for the rest of the party.

I like her right away.

Kyoko confirmed for secret pervert.
@Letter Bee
Well, it's not like they need to fight, right @Rune_Alchemist?
@Letter Bee
It's just Lily's pride acting up as usual.
@Lord Zee
I had no idea where I got Giden from. Editing it now.
To Lily's horror, the girl suddenly twirled and then began to skip towards her. Yes, skip. Her steps looked like they had springs to them. It was quite a bizarre and disturbing scene for Lily as the abomination she saw was skipping like a little girl. Lily couldn't help but tightening her grasp on Hinako's arm. The mighty dragon now seek support from the kitsune.

When the creature spoke, her voice was a terrifying mix between a girl's voice and screeching and screaming from another world. Lily noticed how she seemed to enjoy the situation, and so responded with a weak "W-what are you?". Any normal human would have fainted at this point and it was only LIly's dragon blood that made her still able to stand there and look at the creature. Lily's already wide eyes widened even more when she saw a pale blue tentacle appeared under her sleeve, coiling around her hand before it slithered back in. Lily had been sure that she would use that to grab her, before the rest of her tentacle heads consumed her. Thankfully, it was only in her imagination.

Until suddenly, the horrifying and terrible presence disappeared and she reverted back to her normal human look.

She then introduced herself as Bea, a normal human. She was absolutely playing with her, as a sly grin was plastered on her smug face. She then giggled before asking for their names.

"A normal human? You think after all that I will just accept that introduction? I know what you are! You are a Great One! What is your purpose going here? Are you going to turn everyone here mad so you can have more of your playthings?" Lily shouted with great gusto. With Bea having surpressed her true form, LIly regained her courage and oh boy she was really mad that Bea had made a mockery of her.

Before Bea could answer however, a winged boy suddenly leaped in to the scene. Lily could feel his calming aura, and it actually made her less mad, not exactly the effect the boy had planned for. He then chastised Bea for scaring her off, and she demanded that she declared for what purpose she came to the school.

Somehow, Lily felt a little irked that this boy had just come in and played knight in shining armor. She was the dragon, not the damsel in distress, dammit.

"Very well then... Garen," Leila replied. She was not used to addressing someone just by their name, especially someone she just met. "Then we agree. I will also cooperate with them while keeping an eye on them at the same time. It will be unpleasant, but it is necessary." She sighed. "And you have a point about the ritual. Perhaps I am just scared for nothing. I agree with watching the others do it first, just so that we can know if the power we will receive is worth it."

"And my name is Leila. Just Leila. I was born as a villager so our family didn't have a name. Once again, I am glad to meet you, Garen," she smiled.

She then saw Garen excusing himself as he half-jogged to the newcomer. It seemed she was his acquiantance of some sort, judging by how he just hugged her right away. She was glad to hear that for any acquiantance of his couldn't be a dangerous person. She had already begun to get tired at the whole "watching your back" thing.

She looked back at the possessed monk, and it seemed she had already taken control once more. She then explained that she would like some animals to act as the sacrifice, like pigs of deer. She looked around and she couldn't see any pigs nearby. They must have run away.

The man who tried to sacrifice an undead before asked if anyone wanted to go with him to the forest. He said it was to catch a bear for the sacrifice. She didn't understand why he would endanger himself needlessly like that. She would just rather catch a deer instead. The spell worked either way.

"I'll go catch a deer instead," she announced to the group as she made her way to the woods as well. It should be easy to catch one so she really didn't need anyone else to help her.

By the way, loved Odette's reaction to the possibility of Kyoko seeing her underwear.

And now I'm wondering what kind of scandalous undergarment she's wearing right now...
@Ryougu
Haha, my mind immediately went to the gutter there.

Yeah, I'm alright with it. Will stay a love hate relationship for a long while though, with Leila being teased and annoyed by her. And as long as she doesn't do something Leila sees as genuinely evil, Leila will eventually warm up to her.
