Lily Flameheart

Lily left the premises, grabbing a chocolate bar or two as she went. She was quite fond of them, you see. The way their flavor just melted into your mouth, it was simply divine. She then traversed the corridors and hallways of the school once again, looking for any sight of Bea and the boy.

Mostly the latter though. She wouldn't give a care if she would never meet that arrogant eldritch girl ever again.

Her dainty feet eventually took her to the swimming pool, located in the back of the school. And lo and behold, she finally found the two conversing there.

And as she had suspected, they were close. Real close. Too close for comfort, in fact.

That Bea, she would bet her dragon tail that she hadn't told him about what she was.

"Ah, Bea, we meet again," she said coolly as she walked towards the two, pretending that she meeting them was all a coincidence. It wouldn't do to just shout something like "Stay away from her!" to the boy, as that would definitely just amuse the eldritch girl. She had to play it calm and cool, show her that she didn't really have any power over her.

"I assume this is your new acquaintance?" Lily continued, "Why don't you introduce him? I am curious, how a young boy like him could enter this academy."

Lily eyed the two of them carefully, but her attention was mostly towards Bea. She made sure if she tried any funny moves to scare her, she would turn into her half-dragon form right away.

"Hmph, testing the waters, huh? You should very well know the saying not to rile up a dragon," Lily replied, still glaring at Edward with her hands folded below her chest. "And then you have the nerve to praise her looks after that." Lily very well knew she was pretty. The beauty of her dragon form would have transferred into her human form after all. Her mother always taught her that she should be proud of her beauty; the glitter of her scales and the elegance of her lean form and tail. Just as a male dragon looked intimidating and mighty, a female dragon would be a creature of beauty and grace.

"Well, whatever. I am pleased to meet you also, Edward," Lily replied, still looking at him with a cool glare, "And you say you are just a human. I don't buy that for a second. The way you handled that Bea girl, I know you must have some sort of power against her kind. Well, we all have our own secrets, and I don't really care that much if you refuse to tell me the truth."

Ascot then chirped up, advising Edward not to flirt with her. It was kinda too late to say that, wasn't it, which made Lily smile a little for how naive he was being.

And then he suggested for them to become nakama, or true companions as kindly translated by him, even though she was pretty sure everyone here could speak Japanese.

"I do not know what this 'nakama' business is, but I believe we are already friends now, or at least acquintances. True companions though, no. We dragons don't use that term lightly, as we will die to defend our true companions, or else we will sully our honor and pride. As for me, I only ever have one person that I have ever considered to be my true companion, my true friend, and he--"

Lily paused abruptly. She stopped her tongue from continuing, realizing she didn't want to tell them about him. No, not yet. Not now. They don't need to know. Dragons don't share their treasures so easily.

"...Apologies. I do not wish to talk about this subject any further," Lily continued, finishing her speech with a little downcast look.

"If we're finished here, then I shall take my leave. I'll check up on the boy Bea goes with, just in case she tries anything to him,"

Lily decided that she was not comfortable being there anymore, so she just made up an excuse to leave. Well, it wasn't entirely an excuse. She was serious in wanting to check up on him.

Maria sighed as she looked at the two leaving. Guess they would now go to the shops. No sense in crowding a tavern with all of them. It would just attract attention, unwanted attention. And they by themselves already stood out. Look at her wearing a fancy dress in a village like this. People would think she was a lost princess or something, just like in the real world where her friends kept calling her with that title.

The first shop they found was the weapon shop, and the shopkeeper, a balding old man with some temper issues looked at them suspiciously as they eyed his merchandise. Maria thought he was pretty rude for someone that worked by selling to people, but perhaps their suspicious appearance was to blame. His shop pretty much had the basic kinds of weapons available; swords, knives, axes, maces, and even a wooden hammer. Maria tried lifting each one of them and she pretty much found out that she couldn't really use any of them, even the wooden hammer, as its size was like a small child. And every time she tried one of them, the shopkeeper would glare at her so hard she was afraid he was drilling into her head.

"So, what will it be? Come on, I don't have much time," the shopkeeper said impatiently, "Or don't tell me you are one of those people who just look at things and not buy any of them. I know the lady and the little elf girl don't look like they can lift any of these but the rest of you sure could, right? Or else you wouldn't be here, wasting by time, right?"

I don't mind it though. Would make for some hilarious, possibly perverted scenes.

The Hero has betrayed us

Leila made sure she paid attention when Feon gave her explanation. So it wouldn't give her any power right away, but it would allow her to learn magic far quicker than normal. However, she would only be able to do so with the help of ancient texts and writings and the magic she learned would disappear after a year. Seemed reasonable, Leila thought. This way, even if someone decided to turn back and became the next tyrant by their newfound powerful magic, they could easily take them out when a year had run out. This quite relieved Leila from her paranoia.

Leila then saw Feon throwing a stone towards a bird flying on the sky. She was impressed by how she could hit the thing even from this distance. The goose fell down to the earth. It seemed Feon was going to use it as her sacrifice.

Feon then approached the newcomer, and then introduced herself. But the newcomer responded with coldness, as she stated her displeasure and distrust of the ritual they were about to perform. Leila would agree with her if she had spoken up just a while ago, but now, she felt she was more on the monk girl's side. Feon responded patiently, though Leila could certainly hear the annoyance in her voice.

After that little drama, and Feon answering the lizardman's question, she then started her ritual. She simply threw the poor thing into the air before jumping towards it and kicking it down towards the statue. They landed just in front of the statue's base, with her feet crushing the goose's heart. And then, Leila saw it. The green glow manifesting from the statue, heading towards Feon and then entering her body.

"Y-you alright there?" Leila asked her.

Before the monk girl could answer however, they were interrupted by Vreskrr coming in and bringing with her a rampaging bear. And she had the galls to flirt with her while she did so. Leila quickly moved out of the way, grabbing Feon's hand as she was afraid she was still disoriented from the ritual. Luckily, the bear was taken care of right in front of the statue, by the combination of efforts between the demon girl and Astiroth. SInce the latter got the killing blow, perhaps the statue would accept the sacrifice as his instead of Vreskrr's.

Nevermind that. I just edited my post to add his part in. Lily just took note that she would warn him of Bea the next time she met him, just in case.

Also, I just made a reference to a 300-year old elven merchant that looked like a little girl. Dunno if she would be my second character. I am still pretty satisfied with just Lily right now. Feel free if anyone else wants her.
