Saying Étoile was mildly annoyed that this Rei had only just noticed her was putting it lightly. She had half a mind to tell him off, but the whole celebrity status thing really only benefitted her in her own world. So as much as she loved to see the realization hit their faces as they realize who exactly she was, it wasn't going to do her much here. She supposed the least she could do was return the introduction, but then he showed her the crossbow sketch.

"Mmm...crossbow, huh," Her intrigue was clear, at least. "More of a melee fighter myself, but if it floats your boat, then good for you, I guess.

Saying Magnolia was interesting was not giving her justice; that otherworldly aura of hers had intrigued Étoile. She clicked her tongue for a moment, trying to decide what to do.

"Well, she seems like the type of lady that knows what she's talking about. Maybe she could answer some questions or look into her fortune-telling orb that'll tell me what to do in this backwater-fantasy world." She said, lazily beckoning Rei to follow her, though she stopped after a few paces. "Since you introduced yourself first...I'm Étoile. Let's go.

Letting out a slight sigh as her alarm went off, Lilie rubbed her eyes as she sat up. Dragging herself out of bed, she stretched her arms above her head before placing her hands on her hips. The feeling of waking up with unfamiliar surroundings was something she needed to get used to. Maybe after classes she would take some time to personalize the room or liven it up a little. At minimum, a vase of flowers to display would be nice. The dark was slowly lulling her back to sleep, prompting her to want to let some light into the room. She walked over to the window, throwing the blinds open and expecting the room to be filled with sunlight; however, the only light she received was the pale moonlight.

Oh, right.

Admittedly, it was going to take some time for her to get used to being up all night and barely getting to see the sun. Turning on the light to the room, she began her usual self-care routine; a quick shower, a little time spend on ironing her clothes, and a majority of time wrestling with her hair to get it to behave and place it into her usual ponytail. Once she was dressed, she examined herself in the mirror. She was happy the academy didn't require uniforms, a small comfort but still appreciated. Her little gradient dress puffed out slightly, her jacket nice and comfortable as she pulled it on. As she looked herself over, she realized she was forgetting something, kneeling down before the shoddy case she had and tenderly opening it up to reveal her rapier. After making sure it was secured to her sash, she finally felt ready. Her phone then beeped at her just as she finished, the girl grinning at her reflection before setting off.

Orientation would be held separate from vampires, so for once the young woman was completely at ease. Lilie kept having to be reminded to keep up with the group, as every so often she would stop walking altogether to watch an example of magic happening. It was getting difficult to contain herself, but she managed to keep it together as the group reached the auditorium. Getting to see the examples of magic had gotten her excited, although once again, a lot of the talking went over her head. It wasn't that any of it was uninteresting, it just...didn't hold her attention for very long. Seeing Sariel walk on air was an entirely different story, however, and she wondered if she could possibly reach that level of mastery. Her relationship with water was always a love-hate sort of thing, as the element to her offered little use in terms of combat.

Once they were free to roam, the silver-haired girl lingered as she looked around. She was torn between going to the appropriate element and looking for combat related clubs, and eventually, the latter won her over. Looking around as she walked, she found herself wishing she would have socialized with people more. She didn't know anyone, feeling the tiniest pang of jealousy as she watched some students interact with one another. As she approached the table for the Arena Guild, she noticed Sariel speaking with a few students. There seemed to be a sign up sheet--mock battles, maybe? Either way she was sold, the girl focused on filling out the paperwork.

She perked up slightly when she heard a familiar voice, spotting Aaron not too far off, speaking with Sariel and a few others she didn't recognize. Her eyes brightened up, the relief of seeing a familiar face invigorating her immensely. Making it a point to finish filling out the form quickly, thanking the guild member before cautiously approaching the small group. She hadn't noticed the other young man until she had neared, and suddenly she felt like she didn't want to intrude, hovering near them for a moment as she contemplated whether or not to interrupt. Realizing she probably looked odd just standing around, she tried to think of the best way to approach him without looking weird, going in a small circle before finally deciding to just walk up to the blonde and say something.

Except, when she finally did, she chickened out at the last second, deciding that maybe she should look around a little more. She stopped in her tracks as the bright light emanated from Aaron, and her eyes widened--or rather, they did after she spent a second rubbing her eyes. Light magic! The amount of possibilities from that ran through her head, the display giving Lilie enough of a push to actually approach Aaron with light applause. "That was amazing!" She told him excitedly.

Assuming the starting post is coming in the next couple of days, giving that we at least have 6 of the 8 characters ready. I'll be busy with friends over the weekend. So I won't have time to post until Monday.

The RP wouldn't start over the weekend, we like to start on weekdays as people aren't usually around on weekends.

Well, that was a thing.

The entirety of the situation could have been accompanied by a sad trombone for added hilarity. It was a little harsh, especially seeing it actually played out, but that was...well, it was exactly what Étoile had imagined. She had to confess that she didn't entirely blame the duo. She had been expecting some kind of floozy or maybe a hapless bimbo, but that mysterious woman had definitely caught her attention. She reminded her a bit of a tarot reader that she had gone to see once on a whim, albeit she didn't really believe any of the crap the lady had spew out about her 'destiny' and 'greater purpose' and whatever other nonsense she had said. But Magnolia had something about her that made it had to forget her, even as she was handed her coin she found herself looking in the direction of the woman.

Still, for the moment she couldn't be rude. "Merci," She told the man before he left to drown out his sorrows. As tempted as she was to go to Magnolia, there was one little thing she wanted to see to first. Pocketing the coin securely--and in a place pickpockets wouldn't take as it had been a rather harsh lesson to learn--she would give the nerd her attention.

"Oi, nerd," She addressed him rather bluntly. "Is what you're writing so important that you'd really rather have a notebook than coin?"

Arianna seemed pleased at her responses, Lilie's eyes brightening somewhat when she mentioned the possibility of sparring. It seemed to contrast her gentle nature but Lilie couldn't call the kettle black in that sense. She loved the thrill of it, the instant decision making, how every second was dedicated to an art of getting to your opponent before they could get to you. She didn't bring up her skill; she preferred to show, not tell. That and she wasn't entirely sure of Arianna's level, considering the woman probably had more experience than she, so even if Lilie considered herself an expert it was entirely possible that the vampire could easily curb her.

She watched Arianna as she spoke, admiring the blue haired woman as she spoke. Maybe she could ask her to help her become that graceful. Arianna's somewhat wistful expression surprised her, but it was difficult to come right out and express it. She knew it was an opportunity and she knew Arianna wouldn't hold it against her, but she just couldn't bring herself to ask--especially if her mother was a sore spot for the vampire. But the chance to ask came and went as once again Lilie became the topic of conversation. She was grateful that Arianna considered her a person, at least. The multitude of horror stories on how certain vampires treated their mages had contributed to her fear of them.

Bathed in moonlight, Arianna would ask her about her own family. Lilie shifted in her seat slightly, wondering how to respond. The truth would likely be a place to start. "I was," She admitted quietly as she lowered her gaze, frowning slightly. "...but being a mage changed that. I think it's for the best." And that was the reasoning she kept telling herself, especially when they began to distance themselves from her. She didn't blame them. She really did think it was for the best.

"I guess...I'd really like to know what you expect of me," She decided on only one question for now, not wanting to overstep her boundaries--albeit her curiosity would ensure that she would know more through their usual interactions. "Is there anything in particular you want me to take care of? Or any tasks you had in mind?"

"Comment pouvez-vous être stupide?"

The utterance came after Étoile had eavesdropped on the conversation, although really, they were loud enough so that anyone who cared would hear it anyway. She genuinely didn't know what was dumber; the entirety of the situation or the completely clueless response the writing nerd decided to give them. That's quite the assumption if you think the woman would say yes to either one of these bozos. She mentally scoffed. The pair were spineless if they had to resort to asking for favors from random people to solve their issues and neither one of them deserved to have anything in her opinion. Truthfully, she vied for ignoring the whole situation, but her empty stomach demanded otherwise.

With a somewhat exasperated sigh, Étoile would finally push herself away from her table and stand, her heels clicking against the floors as she made her way to the hapless duo and the nerd. Her arrival was anything but quiet considering that she walked without bothering to excuse herself if she got in anyone's way or outright shoving drunks aside if they got too close. She only stopped once she made sure the three could see her, flipping her hair off her shoulder.

Her eyes landed on said nerd once again, her eyes examining him for a moment. He looked a little different from other people she had encountered, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. For one, he enjoyed writing, which wasn't exactly common in what was essentially a bar where all people did was drink. For another, he just looked weird facially. If she were back in France, she would have thought he was an odd ethnic mix or something. Did that happen in this world?

Either way, she gave him an unimpressed look. "How cute, Mr. I've-Never-Had-A-Date telling two hapless virgins what to do," She huffed at him.

"If you're going to be so indecisive, don't bother," She stated outright once she turned her attention to the other two, hands on her hips as she let her domineering presence take over without a second thought. "You value your friendship, don't you? Then make her do the work for you. Fess up at the same time and whatever happens, happens. Can't have hard feelings if the decision is out of your hands."

There was no hiding her astonishment with their living quarters; even if she could control her head turning this way and that, her eyes were wide in disbelief that this was going to be where she would be living. Everything from the walls to the furniture screamed of luxury, well worth more than anything she could even dream to afford in her ordinary life. It was a jarring culture shock, confirming a well-known fact. But hearing about it and actually seeing it were two different things, and for just a moment the young girl was rooted to her spot, half-wondering if she dared to move she may accidentally break something. But if this was going to be home, then she needed to get used to it. She couldn't spend the rest of her time here caught up in paranoia, especially when an active source of it stood quite close to her.

Speaking of which, Arianna didn't so much as bat an eye to their dormitory. Then again, this must be the norm for such an elegant lady. Lilie would be genuinely surprised if it weren't. As she looked up at Arianna once more--goodness, their height difference seemed to surprise her each time--she wondered how to respond to her inquiry. Brushing her hair off her shoulder, she decided to have a seat on the couch. Crossing one leg over the other, she placed her hands on her lap as she thought about telling Arianna about herself.

"There's really not much to tell. My family owns a bakery that was established by my grandmother, but other than that there's nothing special about us. No one else in my family could use magic, so it was a surprise when I discovered I was a mage," She admitted, not out of shyness or a lack of confidence, but the truth. "The world of magic and vampires was more like a distant dream than a possible reality. I'm really looking forward to studying it, though, and getting a handle on my affinity."

Pausing for a moment, her eyes landed on her luggage. There was a long, thin, somewhat shoddy brown case sitting on the floor next to the one carrying her other belongings, which reminded her of another passion of hers. "Aside from that, I like fencing. My mother is an instructor, so...yeah."
