She was running. That's all she knew in that moment. One moment, she was having a nice relaxing bath, the next she was running through the woods butt naked, wondering how the hell she got there. Had she been drugged? Was the rest of her family okay? Where was she running to? She stopped after a few minutes of running, her mind racing with what to do. She hadn't seen a single damn building out here. Her next thought went to who would do this? Why would they do this? And where the hell were they now.
She continued walking, her feet cut by the forest floor and raw by now. Every step was painful, every step was starting to feel like her last. She wasn't built for this, for survival out in the woods with nothing but her birthday suit to protect her. She was going to die out here. As the thought hit her, she stopped, dead in her tracks and plopped down onto her knees to cry, sobbing after a moment.
Her tears pulled the attention of a man, just within earshot, who.. at first thought she might be some ghost. But against his better nature, walked closer to investigate. He hadn't planned on veering off course today, his mother would have surely punished him but he couldn't help his curiosity. It wasn't every day that the prince of his fair kingdom got the chance to explore out on his own like this, nevermind the fact that he'd slipped out unawares...
He approached the sound, still fully convinced he was going to be attacked by some foul witch or ghost trying to coax him closer, when he spotted her. She was hunched over in the grass and... completely naked?! He blinked, not really fully believing his eyes. But he couldn't stop his feet from getting closer from, trying to help her.
"..Miss? Are you okay?"
A fearsome king and loyal lover, Cuprite stands tall as the Leader of the Wildshape. For all it's inhabitants that come from every walk of life, every corner of the world, he fights to protect and improve their lives. He is not a dragon to take his work and role lightly and expects as much from his future offspring.
His best friend growing up was a dragon called Ambrose, a very energetic Pearlcatcher dragon. It was mostly unknown to him the animosity between the two breeds, but it became very apparent when he told his parents about his new friend, only be told to stop spending time with him. That only made the young dragon want to see his friend more. He needed to know what was so bad about his breed that his parents would openly demand he stop seeing him. Ambrose also had no idea as to why the two breeds had such disdain for each other.
"Why would anyone hate a Pearlcatcher? I think your pearls are really cool." Cuprite told his friend one day, huffing a bit at the idea of being mean just because of his breed. "Why wouldn't I think they're cool?"
"I'm not sure, honestly. I don't get why so many of my kind don't like yours. I asked my aunt and she said it's jealousy." Ambrose returned, shoulders shrugging apathetically.
"Well... I'm not jealous of any of the pearlcatchers! I think it's stupid to think like that." Cuprite huffed indignantly.
"And I'm not jealous of you. I can't really even think of a reason why I would be, you know?" Ambrose returned. "But... what can we do about other people? Not much."
"Well, when I'm older, I'm going to make my own clan where things like that don't matter. Where everyone is treated equally. I can't change everyone's way of thinking, but if you and I can think like this, the surely others can!" Cuprite huffed, sure of himself as he puffed his chest out. Nevermind the fact that he had no idea what it would take to lead a clan himself.
"That sounds nice... but I wonder if it's possible..." Ambrose sighed.
"Of course it is! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it."
Despite Cuprite's reassurances, he wasn't able to convince his friend to join him when he left their clan. The only person willing to join him was his sister, Raira. She was more than willing to leave, more out of a desire to be free from her parents than anything. Ambrose not joining him, didn't deter the young dragon. As soon as he was old enough to really grow into his wings, he approached his father and let him know of his intentions. As expected, the older dragon was none to happy to hear this, but respected his son's wishes. His mother, however, was less than happy and made several attempts over the course of Cuprite's preparations to leave to stop him and his sister.
Unable to sway Cuprite or Raira to stay, the two left and set off to find a space for their clan. They settled on the branches of the Behemoth, who branches held the Gladebough Village. Cuprite and his sister met their respective mates here among the other clans and convinced them to join them. Since then, they have welcomed dragons into their growing community. Cuprite rules their clan as "King" with a firm hand and a gentle voice. He allows dragons to enter freely and leave freely.
Dragons do have to be approved by his now trusted Advisors, a pair of Wildclaw dragons that had more than proven their worth protecting Cuprite and his family in the underbrush below the Behemoth. Amore and Aconite became a part of the Advisory Council that helped approve the acceptance of new dragons into their clan by helping them find a job/role within the community. Amore takes a larger role in helping to train old and new adult dragons to defend themselves along with his mate, Aconite.
Raira and her husband, Bercilak also help in guiding the community on the Advisory Council. Raira spends her time with her husband answering the questions of the clan in her brother's place so that Cuprite may spend his days working with other clan's leaders to build diplomatic influence for their clan and create healthy relationships with their neighbors.
One day, while taking a stroll through the forest with his mate, Cuprite noticed a small tuft of bright green fur poking out from the bush. It wiggled a bit as he approached. He called out softly, "Hello?"
His mate, Eden, perked her head up, now seeing the odd looking hair as well. And just as soon as she took a step to get closer, it seemed to pop out at her. She was about to lift a paw to claw at it in defense, when Cuprite lifted a paw to stop her.
The bright green tuft of hair had gotten herself stuck in a mess of tangled sticks and bramble. Her big bright pinks looked up at him and they swirled with an intense arcane energy. All he could think of was that it must have been painful, having so much magical energy in such a small body. Leaning down, Cuprite, gave the small deer looking creature a cursory sniff before moving to help her out of the brambles.
She huffed and stomped her hooves in protest, even though she knew deep down he was only trying to help her. Once freed, however, she pranced around him in glee, bounding cheerfully.
"That feels better, hm?" He chuckled, watching her until it made him feel dizzy. She paused for a moment, those big pink eyes watching him before she took a few steps closer to him, tentatively. Taking it as an invitation, Cuprite, bent his head down to her, to be a bit more on her level. At this, she slowly pressed forward until their noses touched.
Pink sparks seemed to literally fly in the space between their snouts, and Cuprite felt something shoot down his spine. His heart felt warm and suddenly he could her a voice...
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?"
The voice was soft, gentle and sounded very much like a young hatchling might.
"Yes... I can hear you..."
"Oh! Oh! Joy! That brings me so much joy! I think I would have been in those brambles forever if you hadn't come along." She chuckled, seeming to grin to herself. Her blue fur seemed to shimmer even more in the light of the sun as she stepped into a patch of sunlight.
"And you are...?" He asked, chuckling again.
"Hm? Me? I.. To be honest, I'm not sure what I am! I just.. woke up and started wandering around. And then I got stuck.. and then I met you!"
"My love... Just who exactly are you talking to?" Eden asked, a worried expression turning on her face as she watched him.
"Hm? You can't hear her?" He asked, confused.
"Oh, only you can! I'm your spirideer now!" She started, blinking for a moment. "Oh... I guess that just came to me... weird... But anyway, I bonded to you! Well, our hearts did." She explained, making a quick spin as sparkles of magic floated around her.
"My... Spirideer?" Cuprite started, blinking a bit. He hadn't expected a new companion today, much less one that bonded to him... But, here he was.
Raira had always been a free spirit. From the moment she was born, she had been contrary to her parents. It wasn't as if she lived to disagree with them, but she certainly had a mind of her own and nothing anyone said could dissuade her from doing what she wanted to do. Stubborn to a fault. The last thing Raira ever wanted was to be in charge of an entire clan but despite that, when given the opportunity to leave her little Lightning Clan to explore the greater world with her brother, she took it. Though, she hadn't anticipated he'd settle them down so quickly...
She still hasn't really forgiven him for that and regularly leaves the community to explore on her own. If asked, she'd explain that there was something inside of her, something that vibrated with an intensity she couldn't explain and the only solution was to fly free and explore at her own pace.
Raira didn't have many friends growing up, but the one she had was the truest friend she'd ever had. Pache, a male Fae dragon who despite being hard for her to understand, had become her closest friend and confidant. She could tell him anything and he would always listen with eyes that seemed to always understand her feelings. She'd often sneak him into her nest to hang out with her, since he was small enough to hide in her wings. The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.
Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.
"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.
"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.
"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.
"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.
"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.
Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.
Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.
When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.
"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.
She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.
From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. The true turning point in their relationship, however, came on a hunt Bercilak had accompanied Raira, her brother, and her brother's mate, Eden. The four were prowling the groves below the village. Eden and Cuprite split off, Raira assumed to go have some alone time. The thought alone made her incredibly jealous and she stuck her tongue out after her brother before continuing on. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.
It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.
"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.
"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.
"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.
"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.
Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.
@Ghost Shadow I have to say, that is an incredible CS and puts my own to shame. I have no problems with it what-so-ever. :)
As it's going, I may just accept those that have posted CS soon and get us started. But I'm going to give it until tonight or tomorrow to let others put CSs in as well. Tomorrow, of the CSs posted, I will choose which will join us. (All of them posted so far are pretty good though, so ye. :P)
I hope that was okay for Zivon. What I'm imagining is that Marcus took him somewhere so at least he's not gone from the world and can return should you want him to. OR, he can die in Marcus' hands. That's all up to you, Dest.
Her first response went to Vikki and the child, Grimm. She turned her head once again with a smile and looked over at Grimm. "You can leave if you'd like. No one is stopping you. Actually, I'd quite like to see you take on Marcus' army all by your lonesome. It would prove to be most entertaining." She told him with a wicked grin on her face and a dark expression in her eyes. She then turned to the rest of the group.
"I had honestly thought that a group such as yourself would have had more tact than to fight for weapons that they haven't even seen yet. Let me get one thing straight before I run off to find the others. This isn't a game. These weapons aren't yours to collect just to show off later on. This is a war. The weapons will go to the one most deserving of them. My say will be final. If you have a problem with that, you're more than welcome to take it up with me." She added, a certain bite to her last few words. She spun quickly and walked on, to be interrupted by Crash who wanted to know where Prometheus was.
A warm smile crept onto her face as she lifted a hand to ruffle Crash's red hair and nodded. "Certainly, dear." She spoke. With one hand, she made a large motion as a purple haze began to collect in the circle she created. Soon, an image appeared in the haze of the path to where Prometheus lived. "That'll show you the way. But it'll only stay up for a few moments, so... look at it while you can." She told him, moving her hand away slowly as to not interrupt the haze.
"Well, then, ta-ta!" She called out to Crash as she moved on, sending the 'boy-turned-man' a wink. Her first stop, after all was Zivon who had refused to stay in the apartment complex with Lily and had even refused to stay in her own home which she had to admit, she was a little bitter about. What was so great about a run down shack anyway?
Regardless, she made her way over there, quickening her steps with magic and made it there within minutes. "My dearest Zivoooon~" She called out in a sing-song voice. She stopped however, when she noticed Andromeda as well. "Well, well. Too for the price of one, how lovely!" She exclaimed happily. "Come, come, both of you. The boat will be leaving soon. Make way for the docks. I'll set up a portal for you. Vikki can explain more when you get there. Hurry!" She explained rather hastily, pushing the two towards the wall where she would create the portal. However, as she did so, Zivon seemed to poof. Literally... just... disappeared. Maria blinked and looked around.
"W-What?" She stuttered, looking around at the room wide eyed. "You...You saw that too, right An?" Maria asked the woman, turning to look at her. Maria let out a long sigh. This was going to mean a lot of jumping around from one place to the next today...
"Go ahead, An. I'll look for him. It'll be faster if I do it anyway. The rest of the group is headed to Xuihcoatl to help and gain the help of the Dragon nation in our fight against Marcus. We've done enough hiding in the shadows. Vikki and the others can explain it more when you get there. Go." Maria explained. She lifted both arms and made wide circle motions to create a purple haze that sparked with electricity. An image began to form, much like with her trick with Crash. However, this one was different. Maria pushed her arm through the portal to show An it was okay and then pulled it out again and made a motion for An to go through.
Her next stop was Ryuu's place. Well, the place he worked anyway. With magic, yet again, she made it to the shop in record time. Though, she was still rather sweaty at this point and very tired considering her mana pool was large but not unlimited. She could probably only spare one more portal and trip. Artav would just have to walk with her.
"Ryuu..." She called out, her voice shallow because of her fatigue. She blinked when she saw him, standing in front of a poster, staring at it. She coughed and called out again. "Ahem... Ryuu." Her voice was sharper this time. Shaking her head, she walked up to him. Beside him, she created the portal and pushed him through. She didn't exactly have time for this. With that done, she swung her arm through her portal to cancel the magic and made way for Artav's home which was much, much farther away and in a dangerous spot.
Maria's eyes hardened. There was a very real possibility that someone from Marcus' side was already there... Still, she made her way there regardless. They needed all the help they could get.
"Don't be useless to be, brother. We all know what happens to the useless."
Jonathan rolled his eyes as he walked to the house of the one called Artav... It was a interesting name to be sure. One he would probably never forget. Regardless, he was slowly meandering his way to her house. He was prepared for this. He knew what failure now meant. At this point, he knew exactly what Marcus meant by his words and he was fully ready to accept them.
But... then... why was he still headed for this girl's house? Maybe that meant that somewhere deep down, he didn't accept it at all... He let out a frustrated sigh and lifted a hand to scratch the back of his head. This was all getting much too complicated. All he wanted to do was run away but he knew that his brother would never let him go. Maybe he could join Maria. But then... She'd probably just use him to.
"OH, thanks Jon! You'll be so much help to us!" Jonathan mocked his sister, sighing again afterwords. Yep. He was screwed.
He arrived much quicker than he'd honestly expected and as he walked up to the door, he checked himself, making sure everything was in place. His hair was good, his watch was still there and best of all his clothes were still on.
...
Yep. He was good. He lifted a hand to knock on the door, a somber expression on his warm and kind face. He really wasn't cut out for this. Not at all...
NOPE. He wasn't good. He wasn't good at all. He began to turn, ready to bolt back and just run for it. But he stopped... Mid motion, his body half turned to run.
"GAAAAAAAH! I'm not cut out for this Mom!" He shouted towards the heavens, a pained expression on his face.
@DisguisedDemon There's a possibility your character could arrive at a later date. However, they will be 'an outsider' meaning that it could be fairly hard for them to enter into the group. As long as you understand that. Feel free to throw up a CS.
Edit: There are still quite a few mistakes in there. ^-^;
Just a few pointers...
Women is the plural form. Woman is the singular form.
There are some instances where commas are good for the sentence. Most of the time commas are used to separate different clauses or ideas. When the idea is the same on both sides of the comma or the idea isn't complete, a comma isn't necessary. If you want to insinuate a pause use ellipses. Ellipses are just three dots and they usually signify a break or pause.
"I'm uh... not sure we should even go there, Jack. Leave it alone."
When a word ends in the suffix '-ful,' it only needs one 'l.'
Wonderful Bountiful Beautiful Useful
Appreciate is spelled like that... I'd recommend a spell check of some kind. If a word looks kind of funny or you don't know how to spell it or even if you don't really know the meaning, look it up. Google it. I do it fairly often when I use a word that I'm not sure how to spell or it's specific meaning.
I didnt know that, see I didnt understand the story part but that is my fault for it probably...most likely.
Plus its not a house...more of a dinky shack...ya.... he cant live in multiple floors since well...wheel chair
Also one thing... I think why veterans well some lost interest is becuase at first it was an open free idea, any ideas could be built and we can play along together but here it like new plot! Kinda sudden and not sure about, its a bit suddenreally.
its hard to develop with five years becuase... I didnt know how to handle it, Like...relly no clue and I actually wnat to scrap ziv beucase his development sucked like sucked alot. I might scratch everyoneand just start new or leave I am sorry but ya. I am not a good thinker of this and with this plot, the attack five years... I got nothing for it, I feel like any part I play for this its not revelant anymore so that why I am feel fine to leave.
This is my opinion once again you can ignore it.
1) Stop telling people to ignore you. I won't ignore you. If I ever ignore anyone, I probably don't mean to. You are free to decide whatever you'd like. But I will tell you that I've lost too many veterans already and it will make me very, very sad to see you leave. I hate that you constantly hound yourself. Stand up, chin up and... take action for yourself, I guess? I'm not going to ignore you, I don't think you're a minority in this RP. I have a hard enough time excepting that I can't please everyone.
2) Ziv can live on the first floor. No stairs. You don't have to be unnecessarily mean to your characters. Besides, Maria would have never let him live in a run down shack by himself as he is. Hell, she'd probably let him stay in his place and build magical wheelchair ramps for him.
3) This is still an open and free idea. Characters can be as inventive as they'd like with in reason and plots can be built by RPers. But anytime we tried to implement them, people didn't care for them. So, I took action and started one. We were never even able to get through the first Fate arc to get to do Faith's plot arc with Crash. I am all for other RPs suggesting plot arcs that have to do with their character. I'm pretty sure Carmen has an arc that may happen in the future. And I know exactly where Lily's arc is taking her. If you want to scrap Ziv and start new, I'm not going to stop you. If you want to leave, I also won't stop you. In the end, it's your choice. But, I'll say the same that I always do when good people leave my Roleplay. You are always welcome back. ALWAYS. No questions asked.
4) I really should do this Response Paper. It was due Saturday... >.>
DP comes to the rescue yet again with a wall of text!
<Snip>
Indeed you have. I need a 'content chuckle' emoji. Anyway...
I certainly cannot lose my biggest supporter and probably one of the biggest backbones to the RP next to myself and NK. Though, NK did give me a scare when this started up.
Now, my post... I want to say it was probably just made because I was feeling a little sorry for myself. And I forgot that I'm not really alone in this and that DP is helping me set the pace to keep things moving. And I can agree that motivation is always our downfall in any RP on this site. People tend to lose interest so quickly. They join an RP and then within a week of actually being in the IC, decide to move on for whatever reason. I've even seen GMs do this, which pisses me off to no end but I can't do anything because I've done that too. But... Like I said, I will never abandon Athalia. I have had too many good memories and I've built up too much to let it drift away because people lose interest/motivation.
...
My puppy just walked by with a nasty looking bag in her mouth... -sigh-
And to DP's reaction to the 'reset,' That's exactly why I did the timeskip, for those of you that are wondering. Because otherwise I may have had to do a complete reset of the RP. I mean, 5 years is a bit much, but it allowed us to reach a point in which something other than pointless shenanigans happened. All the RPers needed to do was decide how that time affected their character. With age did they mature at all? Did they grow more powerful? Did they learn something about themselves? 5 years is a long time and plenty of time for someone to discover something about themselves that they didn't realize before.
Now, if we can get to the battle/war with Marcus, I actually have interesting plot bunnies to spring on everyone and it will probably affect all of the characters. I've explained them on the pad before, so some know it. And I'll gladly explain it again on the pad if someone wants to know and the pad allows me to... Still haven't tested that today.
Today, I will be writing my Response Paper, reading my textbook, and hopefully making a post for Maria. Let me get this straight, Ziv, Artav, Ryuu, and Al are all in their own 'houses', with the exception of Al who has visited Ziv. Which, btw, guys.... Our characters aren't supposed to have houses in Oasari. They're just making camp there for a few years to collect themselves. I mean, the building was just built but that doesn't mean the towns people allowed our characters to build/buy houses of their own. It also kills the idea of 'character comradere' I.E., Characters feeling close to one another. If they live in the same area, then they tend to grow closer together. It's why Carmen and Lily live in an apartment complex which is where everyone else was supposed to live as well but I don't think anyone set up shop there other than me and DP in proxy. So... :| I guess if you can give me a good reason why they'd have they're own house, but for the most part they should all live in an apartment with a roommate set up sort of thing, especially the new characters.
Sorry Rose, I been staying here hoping to well see if anything it would boost my hopes for it again. thats why I haven't left...I been kind of waiting ish for something maybe that would get me all hype. Having hope for it.
I will be honest...the five year time skip...really degraded my sprit, it just.. well I had no development in the last athalia and just suddenly five years past well I didn't have much of idea to do with it. It felt like some ides I had I scrap them and reformed them but they aren't working. I know I am just a minority veteran in athalia so it wouldn't bother you too much.
I am still sticking by but I am just hopeful something would really make me go out there.
No veteran is any more important than the other. We need each and everyone of us. I'm not sure how to help with development. The skip was so that character could develop at least a bit. But maybe that was a bad choice on my part.
Hopefully Maria forcefully throwing you into the action will help. -shrugs-
And now, I need a pick-me-up. So I'm off to go watch youtube and drown in my failures. (I've been doing that a lot lately...) Anyhoo. I've been trying to get onto the pad but I have so far been unsuccessful. I don't want people to think I'm running away but... for tonight that's probably exactly what I'm doing. I'll still check in in OOC to see if anyone wants to chat or talk about things but I've sort of been drained of any real want to make a post. I might make a small post with Maria adding on to what Vikki said but for the most part, I'll probably just hang back for the night. Besides, tomorrow I need to get caught up on my class. I've been slacking the past few days and I need to spend a few hours to catch up. Meh...
BUT AGAIN... Just because I'm taking a step back does not mean, in any way, that I am giving up. If you have known me at all, you will know that I do not give up very easily especially when it comes to Athalia. Please, please don't give up on me before we even get to do the cool thing with the dragons.. .-.
I mean... Fucking dragons. Taking siege... over a city. .-.
Hopefully tomorrow. I'm dealing with some issues with my other RP that are hitting me rather hard. This RP will start, however. Though, I'd prefer if we could at least get one more RPer in with a sheet. I've had bad experiences with RPs with only 3 RPers.

The only person who knew about Pache was her brother Cuprite, who despite not understanding how she could understand or communicate with Pache respected her relationship with him.<br><br>Raira remembers a humorous moment when Pache and Cuprite misunderstood each other.<br><br>"...What? Why are you doing that?" Cuprite asked, his eyes narrowing as he watched the small white Fae dragon flutter around him, bouncing up and down from the ground wildly, his head frills moving and undulating.<br><br>"Raira!" The smaller dragon called, his voice high-pitched but utterly monotone.<br><br>"What about her?" Cuprite asked again.<br><br>"Birth! Birth!" Pache cried out, still trilling frantically.<br><br>"What?!" He asked, blinking. "Are you trying to say Raira has laid eggs? That's not even possible! She's too young!" He started, now frantic. "Oh god, how would we explain this to mother? Should we tell her? Do we have to?" Cuprite mumbled to himself, mind churning.<br><br>Pache visibly deflated a bit before starting back up again. By the time Pache spoke again, Cuprite was already running to find Raira. "Birth day! Birth dayyyy!" He cried out after the larger dragon.<br><br>Cuprite had found Raira by that point and a rather humorous exchange took place in which her brother, face impossibly red, tried to ask her if she had laid any eggs recently. Which had, in fact, prompted a rather red face from her as well. They had a rather long conversation about trying to learn how to properly read Pache's frills but that certainly wasn't the only time Cuprite and Pache had misunderstood each other.<br><br>When Raira arrived at the Gladebough Village, she met an incredibly handsome and sweet Imperial Dragon whom she fell instantly in love with. She spent the first few months they were in the village, following him around, trying to impress him with both her physical prowess and intelligence. He didn't seem interested at all at first. He often scoffed silently and turned his nose up at her, walking away. But after months of trying and trying, Raira was a few steps away from giving up on him completely when he actually responded to her.<br><br>"Bercilak! I found a pretty stone while hunting near the river that I wanted to show you." Raira called out, grinning as she dropped the stone at his table, where he was reading a scroll on the history of fighting tactics used by Ice dragons. She half expected him to completely ignore her and was ready after waiting a moment to pick the stone back up and turn away.<br><br>She watched him look up from his scroll, however, head raising just slightly as he looked at the stone. "It is.. very pretty.." He mumbled, glancing her away for the briefest of moments before looking back at his book.<br><br>From then on, Raira never left Bercilak alone and it seemed as though the younger dragon didn't mind. As she walked, however, she heard the roar of a dire claw.<br><br>It swiped at her and she barely managed to dodge out of the way. It felt as if everything moved in slow motion. The leaves in the trees seemed to still as she watched Bercilak leap out in front of her, fighting with the bear. He was severely wounded, but the young dragon did manage to hold his ground against the bear long enough for it to tire of them and run off. Worried, Raira raced to his side.<br><br>"Bercy, are you okay? Oh my goodness... Oh no... What am I going to do.." She cried out, tears streaming down her face. In her mind, his wounds had to be fatal, she just knew it.<br><br>"Calm down, little one..." He replied, his voice soft and even toned. It sounded as if he wasn't even hurt. Which, Raira had to admit had bolstered her mood considerably. Tears still streamed down her face but now, she felt like he would be okay, that it would be okay.<br><br>"Let me go get Cuprite!" She called out, starting to get up. She was stopped by Bercilak, who had grabbed her leg and pulled her back.<br><br>"Stay... He'll come back to check on us and I don't want you to be alone out there..." He grumbled, voice deep and now tinged with obvious pain. Raira could feel her heart breaking for him but she stayed with him, doing what she could. Cuprite did eventually find them and rush to help his sister get Bercilak back to the village for healing.<br><br>Since that moment, a sort of unspoken bond formed between Raira and Bercilak and they became mates despite never asking one another. Because of this incident, Raira spends a lot of her time researching healing salves and healing magic so that she never has to feel that helpless again.</div></div><br><br><span class="bb-b">Catch me on;</span><br><br>FlightRising - HylianRose<br>Pokefarm Q - HylianRoze<br>Discord - Ask!<br></div>
