Your average run-of-the-mill guy, normal family, normal friends, he was never really expecting the 'gift', it was his 18th birthday that day, when he suddenly noticed one of his eyes had changed color, never really knowing what it meant, he thought little of it. This changed then when he was hanging with his friends that day, he put a arm around one of his friends and he could hear him talking, even though his mouth never moved. Perpetually disturbed and wide eyed, he immediately excused himself from them and sprinted back home, he quickly recalled a story from one of his friends, "Y'know there are some people, who have a 'gift' and this is noted by the color change in their eyes." Never really believing the story until now, he also recalled at how they are 'hunted down' because of how 'they were different'. In fear for his life, he quickly packed and wore dark sunglasses to hide his eyes, he also left a note for his parents, explaining the circumstance, right before he left, his younger sibling asked him where he was going, ruffling his hair and stuttering "A-Ah you don't need to worry, champ." he left home, without any directions.
