Those are pretty much my go to's, but I'm willing to hear out any idea and think about it!
Here's an example of my writing to give you a sense of my "skill" I guess... I keep trying to get better and better so bear with me!
Benjamin West woke up to a loud alarm, and the sun shining through the window and into his eyes. groaned a little as he hit the snooze button, and fell back down onto his pillow. It was an almost perfect plan, until he heard running down the hall and a small voice. "Daddy! Dad wake up!" Ben's daughter Jamie knocked on his door, and continued down the hall to wake her brother up too.
Ben got out of the bed, running a hand through his messy brown hair before drawing the curtains to view the beautiful Virginia forest. He walked across to the room to a nightstand with a picture of a beautiful woman holding a small boy, with the brightest smile in the world. "Buongiorno mio amore" He muttered, touching the picture lightly before walking into the bathroom, getting ready for the day.
Minutes later he came down the stairs dressed in a dark blue sweater, some worn jeans and sneakers. He didn't have a traditional job in the morning, but he did have the all-time job of being a dad. He made his way into the kitchen, a traditional style that Maria helped remodel. Jamie was sitting at the island, finishing some of her homework. Ben rubbed his hand on her head, and walked to the kitchen. "What will it be, Little One? Pancakes? Cereal, eggs?" He asked, turning on the stove.
"Just cereal..." Jamie replied, hard at work. "Just cereal, you got it... Hey, is Marco up? Marco!" Ben yelled, walking to the pantry to receive some cereal. "Daddy, you're still going to help today, right?" Jamie asked. "Yeah, yeah... wait, help with what?" He asked, handing his daughter a bowl and pouring milk in.
"The school fair is today, and you promised to help, remember?" He had been going through so much recently with the legal papers and Marco acting up in school, that he had forgotten all about the fair! "Yeah, I remember sweetheart... I'll be there. Marco! Hurry up, don't make me come up there!"
A couple seconds later Ben's oldest, Marco walked down, not saying a word, only grabbing a bagel from the kitchen counter. "You get your work done, Big Guy? I'm not going to get a note to sign tonight for bad behavior?" Ben asked, looking over at him as he helped Jamie put things in her backpack. Marco shook his head. "Can we go now? We're going to be late."
"Well maybe if someone came down on time we shouldn't be. Come on sweetheart. Everyone in the car! You all got your lunches, right?"
----
The car rides to school were not the most heartfelt and happiest. It was debating on what to listen to on the radio, mixed with passive aggressive remarks from Marco, to Ben giving a speech on how he needs to help out and grow up. When they parked in front of the school, Marco immediately left without saying a word. "Yeah, Love you too!" Ben yelled after him, getting out of the car to help Jamie out. "Alright Little one, when does your fair start?"
"Five o'clock. But volunteers need to be there an hour early to set things up."
"Four o'clock. Got it. And... what did you sign me up to do, exactly?"
"I don't know, the school figures that out, I just put you on the list!"
"Alright, mio amore, I'll be there. Have a good day, I love you." He gave her a kiss on the forehead before letting her go off to her class. He stood next to his car, watching her meet up with her friends. She didn't seem as embarrassed of him as Marco was, it was probably because she was letting him cope with this all. She was a smart girl, too smart if you asked him.
He looked next to him to see a couple of parents (especially mothers) staring over at him. He was famous in a sense, he made a lot of interviews and did a lot of crazy things on his old show that many people would see him as a perfect human being... But he didn't feel that at all. He gave an awkward smile and wave to the crowd, getting into the car before any of them could dive into small talk. He didn't hate talking to people, it was just... difficult. Especially right now.
He would probably do what he did every day. He would call some buddies he had that were still talking about a new season for his show (and politely turn them down), clean the house, and then apparently help at this school fair. It was a change of pace from what he used to do, but this was still just as challenging.
If you have any questions about my RP's, or future ones just shoot me a PM!
All of these people are amazing writers and friends and if you happen to RP with them consider yourself lucky! XD
and for a final note: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A HOBBY, NOT A CHORE! I never want to put pressure on you, or myself and make any RP feel like you NEED to post, or have to force yourself to write. This is supposed to be fun, and I'll do anything to make sure it feels that way :)
The shower was something he wasn't used to with him being the dorky Peter Parker, but he knew he had to make that a habit! He did his best to hide the pain he was feeling in his shoulders, and after looking at the aftermath of the battle, his shoulders and other small cuts should be fine by tomorrow. Peter had some pajama pants, and just an old t-shirt to wear. His thick and messy hair was still a bit damp, but he knew sitting by the fire with his very close to perfect girlfriend would warm him up. As Lexi went to prepare the hot chocolate, Peter grabbed his backpack and spider-man suit from the bathroom, and made his way down the stairs. He shoved his wet Spidey suit in his backpack, and as he did he could have sworn he heard a high pitched hiss. He He stared at his bag for a second, but then shrugged it off. He was exhausted, it was probably his brain making things up. Now it was his job to attend to the fire! As he put a log in to the fireplace, and tended to make sure the flames didn't get out of hand. He remembered when Lexi and him were kids they would try to start fires, and explosions. Of course Lexi's parents hated the idea, and with Peter's science knowledge, it was bound to happen.
Once the fire was at a nice and warm temperature, Peter then pulled his laptop from his bag to do a very quick status update on the city. Kraven was in custody with little resistance, tomorrow was supposed to be colder than before (hooray for crime fighters everywhere...), and a famous celebrity was being accused of being a homewrecker. All the latest on the web... Peter looked up to see a very beautiful woman walk in to the room holding hot chocolate. Peter returned the smile as he closed his laptop, and made his way towards the couch.
"Yeah, the handsome man cancelled last minute, asked me to take his place, so that makes me the very lucky man." Peter said jokingly with a shrug. "Its a good thing you are, because I really need a good cuddle or two." Peter sat down next to her, putting an arm on the top of the couch, sitting close to Lexi. He gave a comfortable sigh and looked over at Lexi, starting at every part of her face giving a soft smile. "All we need now is chestnuts roasting on an open fire and we'd be in a real life christmas movie scene." He couldn't stop his jokes, sometimes they just blurted out, especially when he was nervous. Ever since he started dating Lexi he still got nervous. He worried if he was good enough for her, if he could keep all his promises he made, to never hurt her in any way shape or form...
He leaned forward to grab both cups of hot coco, handing her one gently, and raising as if to give a toast. "To the beautiful woman with the beautiful house that prevented me from becoming a frozen Spider-Man statue outside on a rooftop." Peter smiled and took a sip of his drink, then learned over next to Lexi and gave her a kiss. "I love you, Lex."
Peter's shoulders stung, he was shivering, his clothes were wet, and he smelled. If he found anywhere warm and dry he would probably fall asleep and never wake up. Peter gave a smile behind his mask, and his eyebrows raised as she gestured her to follow. He looked over at Kraven and gave a laugh. "See you around, Kraven the Hunter." Peter said, saying his name with a bad thick russian accent, and with that, he was off. Spider-Man watched the SWAT trucks and helicopters go right past them, knowing they'll have a handful if that guy ever wakes up. Hopefully they'll have a place strong enough to keep that guy behind bars for a long time...
The wind was chilling him to the bone as they swung as fast as they could to Lexi's place. It was a rough day. Seeing his best friend so weak, trying to find christmas gifts for everyone, fighting Kraven... He needed to just not do anything for the rest of the night! Peter immediately started to rip out of his suit, starting with his mask and trying his best to peel off the very cold and wet outfit off his upper body, letting the top part of his suit hand down. He decided to keep the lower half of his suit still on his body for now. He looked up to see Lexi letting her hair down, and his knees went weak. He was glad he got the worst of the battle. He was expecting the lecture he was getting, but she hid her annoyance with him with playfulness, which he appreciated a lot more. "Yes, mom..." Peter said teasingly, his hands going to her waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He was leaning forward for a kiss, expecting her to say something cute, but was giving a fake hurt expression as she said that. That expression soon melted away when she placed a kiss on his lips. He was cold, but his whole face felt hotter than the sun at that moment.
"Shower, fire, hot cocoa. Sounds great." Peter nodded. Since he was here much more often, and no longer hiding his secret identity, Peter has grown accustomed to keep a backpack in Lexi's room for an extra pair of clothes. Peter made his way for the backpack, and walked towards the door. He stopped and turned around giving a small shrug. "You know, i think the shower's big enough for two if you need to warm up." He gave another shrug as if to say "no big deal", and a smile as he walked towards the bathroom.
---
Peter started the shower, letting the water warm up as he peeled off the rest of his suit. He placed his backpack on the counter, and after a little bit of struggling, he finally threw the cold suit to the side. As he attended to this, though, a small drop of black liquid fell from the shower head. It didn't go through the drain. Instead it slowly crawled out of the shower, making its way away from the loud noise of the water. It crawled across the bathroom floor until it made contact with the wet Spider-Man suit. In desperation the black fluid crawled inside the suit, making it its new home.
Peter didn't see this happening, as he was already climbing in to the shower to warm up his nearly frozen body. He was glad that this night turned out well, with he and his girlfriend spending the night together after kicking some serious butt!
Peter's hand flinched as his hand was touched by her's. He wanted to pull away, to distance himself and to figure things out on his own. That was the Peter Quill way. Don't get too close to anyone, so no one can hurt you... But her voice was quiet, and welcoming. And when she said that only the Guardians and Star-Lord could have done it (Not really her words, but he interpreted it like that). He gave a shrug and small smile, his hand unclenching the fist that he had. "Yeah, well... You know. We're kinda the best." He said gently, glancing up at her again. He unfolded his fist, and very knelt down beside her and very gently touched her jaw line, looking at her throat.
"He won't do this ever again. Not to you... Not to anybody." Peter said quietly, careful not to touch a spot where she would be in pain. He removed his hand, and gave a nod. "So... Where are you going to go now that there's no one after you for once in a very long time?" Peter asked, looking up at her with a small smile. A part of him didn't want her to leave. He didn't know how long it would be until he saw her again, and his mind kept going back to when she was leaning on him and he was kissing her neck... It was weird. He could leave anyone he ever met and be fine, but he didn't think he was going to feel good at all when she leaves the Milano.
Robert gave a boyish smile as she agreed to the game of truth or dare. It was something no one would expect. Grown ups playing a kids game, at a bar in New York City. One thing you couldn't say about this idea: it wasn't a normal "not-date" they were having. Robert sat up, holding his drink and looking around while thinking. "Decisions Decisions..." He was worried he would get the question of "Do you know who Robin Hood is?" since he's been working on background checks on this guy, but that was a dumb thought. He just "got back" to New York, and would no very little on his first day! Ah, to hell with it! He was a risk taker! He robbed rich people for a living now! He's living on the edge working inside the hornet's nest!
"I choose... Dare." Robert said, glancing over at her as if to say "Do your worst." He took a sip of his drink and gave a smile. "Go easy on me." He wasn't sure what he was in for by saying Dare, there's probably a lot she wanted to get back at him for. He wasn't the classy man he is today way back when... And to be completely honest, deep down he was actually surprised that Marian was still here, talking to him, actually playing along with this plan! He had a lot of crap happen to him these past few years, but now things were finally turning up Robert's way!
"Distract him. Piece of Cake." Peter replied, his hands clenched and arms up as he stared at the very large Kraven. Peter has seen better, days, but he's definitely fought worse. His shoulders were bleeding, his blue and red suit torn at a few places, his breathing was heavy, and he really wished he had some warmer clothes. If they guy wasn't going to kill him, hypothermia was. Black Cat ran off, but Spider-Man kept his focus on Kraven. He started for Black Cat, but Peter sprang to life. "Here, Kraven! Stinky Kraven! Oooohh, look at you, you big ugly man-beast!" Peter spoke, his hands on his knees, and voice high pitched. He talked to him as if talking to a pet. The man didn't do much, he had a feeling he was blocking Peter out. Typical.
"So what does this Calypso lady feed you to get your coat so nice and shiny?" Peter called out. He remembered him talking about how he was gifted with abilities by this "Calypso", why not play along with it? that got Kraven to turn his attention to Peter. It was a much stronger and passionate hatred now, and Peter was regretting ever saying that comment more than any other he has ever said. "You do not speak of her, you little--"
"Oh, struck a nerve, eh? What is she? Mother, sister, daughter, lover?" Peter asked. "She is a goddess beyond compare! You do not deserve to even utter her name...!" Kraven bellowed, and then rushed like he's done all night. Peter quickly dodged, grabbing a handful of snow, and quickly making a snowball. "hey, batter-batter! Batter-Swing!" Peter threw the snowball with a lot of force, but with it being just a ball of snow, it really didn't do much to hurt him. Just to buy some time.
At this point in time, Peter let his mind go free, while dodging punches and lunges he was asking questions about him that randomly popped in his head. "Does your arm and chest hair keep you warm in this weather? Does it shed in the summer?" and "Have you ever thought of perusing morally good jobs like being a milkman or taxidermist?" were a couple of questions he asked.
It didn't take long for him to completely forget about Lexi, and solely want to rip Peter apart limb from limb. In a flash Black Cat slid under Kraven, and Peter gave a large winch and "Ouch" when Lexi did what she did. Recovering from the poor sight, Peter did his job and fire off a few shots of web at the man, making his containment even more permanent. He walked up to Kraven who was going in and out of consciousness and gave a salute. "I'm sorry for your loss..." Peter said sincerely, but only got a groggy snarl in response.
Spider-Man could hear the helicopters and sirens going off now, and any second they will be confronted with a lot of angry men with guns. Hopefully they'll bring a lot of tranquilizers. This guy will need it. Peter was curious on how he knew him, and Lexi, but then again they seemed to be pretty famous! That, and he now had a lot more dire emergencies to take care of, like losing feeling in his fingers and making a gross "squish" sound whenever he walked.
The snow was still falling lightly, Kraven was taken care off, and the SWAT was on its way. Not a bad way to end the night. He gave a satisfied sigh, putting his hands on his hips, and looking over at Black Cat. "I bet we can find his cousin, 'Boris the Butcher' if we go to the other side of Manhattan." Peter said sarcastically. "No but in all seriousness i never bought warmer clothes to put under this suit and now i'm soggy and cold and i smell like animal pelts and i'd very much appreciate it if we left before police come and start asking questions and get in to something warm and dry." Peter said rather quickly and his voice a bit defeated. He was sure he was going to get an "I told you so" later tonight, and he will gladly accept that.
The visible hand print on her throat was what got him. He didn't know why. He saw so much fighting and explosions and some really messed up things in his life, and they all knew just what they were getting in to when fighting this bounty hunter, but the fact that she almost died when he promised he wasn't going to let that happen was not a good thought. He walked over to the bed quietly, his eyes still focused on where the man left a large mark on her near perfect skin. His mouth opened, but no words came out. He didn't really know what to say in this situation, and he's been a in a lot of weird and tricky situations.
He felt like a kid again, watching his mom who had cancer sit in a medical bed. Someone he cared about was hurt and there was absolutely nothing he could do to help. He was angry, frustrated, afraid all at once. He gave a weak smile to her, standing near the side of her bed, but his fists clenched tight out of anger.
"Hey... You feeling alright?" He asked softly. He couldn't stare at her long. He looked down at the ground, wishing he had his music. Maybe he could find a song to calm his nerves, or find a way to say something he couldn't think of, or to even calm her nerves... Although he was feeling all of these things he wasn't known for, he was very grateful Gamora managed to save her life. The Guardians pulled through yet again.
Robert saw her face turn a shade of red, and this was probably the first time anything he had ever said made her blush. Robert was not a man to shy away from people, or feel a bit nervous, but Marian Anderson was making it hard for him to find his words. He looked around the bar when the bartender gave Marian another martini, and when he turned back, he saw the blonde turned right at him, giving him a smile. Not only was she impressed, but he had her attention! Everyone in this restaurant could only dream of getting this chance! After his brain was done rebooting, Robert gave a small laugh as he took a sip of his drink, and turned to face her. "I just want to clarify this isn't a date." Robert said with a nod, but his dark green eyes twinkling with a matching grin. "We are just two people who really didn't like a co-worker that who happen to like alcohol and sea food and craved it at the same exact time." Robert explained, having a fake professional tone as he took another sip of his drink.
When asked what he wanted to talk about, his mind raced. He could ask her what he really thought of him, of Robin Hood, the state of their city, all the boring stuff. Then he looked at her again. "Well, to keep things interesting, how about a game of truth or dare? It's been a while since us law types got to act like a group of kids." Robert said with a shrug. "Nothing too ridiculous, or inappropriate for this 'not-date' we're having." Robert also added, finishing off his drink.
Raymond gave a smirk whens he said that she took not being classified as a local a compliment. It was the truth. He didn't know how to explain it, but she still had a bit of fight in her. He was going to protest about her paying for his drink, but Danny was already talking to the barista. Both of their attention moved to him, waiting for him to order something. He glanced up at the menu yet again, and then took a small step forward. "I'll have a coffee, a lot of milk and cream please." Ray said. As the two waited for their drinks, Ray looked over at Danny and gave a smile. "Thanks for paying... So you're heading to the East Coast? I'd stay out of Newark. People there are like New Yorkers but a bit greasier, and traffic is terrible." Ray decided to keep with light conversation, even if it sounded a bit half hearted. After his years on the road and him already being a bit cautious of this town, he had a weird feeling she was hiding something from him.
The two got their drinks, Ray giving a smile and "thank you" and the barista simply gave a dull smile and walked away from the two. "You visiting any family on the Coast, or site seeing?" Ray decided to ask between their sips of coffee and tea. The coffee had a bit of a bitter and bland taste to it, he thought it fit the town rather nicely, but he didn't say it out loud.
She thought he was charming? He tried to ignore the "stupid jokes" part, because the other parts were things he didn't really hear from everyone. It seems the only thing people see him as is a thief or savior. He was a gentleman out to try to make people's lives better by helping them with the lousy economy that this city has. He raised his eyebrows at the comment of him caring was weird, but then lowered them when she explained it wasn't a bad weird. He took a sip of his drink, and almost coughed when she said she wasn't anything special. It wasn't supposed to be dramatic, or to make his point. He was in love with this woman, and admired a lot about what she has done. He looked over at her, and gave a smile. "Every single guy, single or not, keeps glancing over at you." He said. He was a lawyer for quite some time, and now a professional pickpocket. he was very observant, and easily noticed that.
"You have everyone's attention, and they don't even know you. If this mystery man knows even the smallest bit about you, he's most likely going crazy thinking about you. Thinking if you approve of every one of his actions, even the smallest ones, if he is the man that deserves someone like you..." He paused, and looked over at her, then shook his head. "I've been gone for a while. Read a lot of books, especially romance novels..." He explained weakly, trying to hide that he was speaking a bit too much from the heart. He waved the bartender over and ordered another drink.
"The point is, if you got dressed up to become the most beautiful woman in New York for this guy, he'll do his damnest to be here to not let you down, or its his loss."
Danielle Moreau gave a smile and her name right before they walked in tot he coffee shop. It was small, cozy, the different scents of coffees. The front was run by only one woman, the same glazed over look in her eyes. Ray stood in line behind Danny. He followed suit with Danny's gaze, looking at the menu. He wasn't really in the mood for coffee. He was starting to lose a bit of his patience as the line seemed to barely go by, even with just the four of them. He shook his head at her question, looking away from the menu and towards her. "No, I never knew this place existed."
Raymond spent most of his life travelling up and down the east coast, so Indiana was foreign territory to him. He knew the stereotypical things about this state. Cornfields, The Colts, and Indianapolis. One of the people in line finally got their order, and he walked by, his shoulder bumping in to Ray's. The man didn't say anything, he just kept on going. Ray watched him exit the store, then looked at Danny yet again. "This town doesn't really scream 'welcome, tourists'. You don't act or look like a local." Ray pointed out, trying to confirm his suspicions of her being a traveler just like he once was.

It was an almost perfect plan, until he heard running down the hall and a small voice. "Daddy! Dad wake up!" Ben's daughter Jamie knocked on his door, and continued down the hall to wake her brother up too.<br><br>Ben got out of the bed, running a hand through his messy brown hair before drawing the curtains to view the beautiful Virginia forest. He walked across to the room to a nightstand with a picture of a beautiful woman holding a small boy, with the brightest smile in the world. "Buongiorno mio amore" He muttered, touching the picture lightly before walking into the bathroom, getting ready for the day. <br><br>Minutes later he came down the stairs dressed in a dark blue sweater, some worn jeans and sneakers. <br><br>"Just cereal..." Jamie replied, hard at work. <br><br>"The school fair is today, and you promised to help, remember?" He had been going through so much recently with the legal papers and Marco acting up in school, that he had forgotten all about the fair! "Yeah, I remember sweetheart... I'll be there. Marco! Hurry up, don't make me come up there!" <br><br>A couple seconds later Ben's oldest, Marco walked down, not saying a word, only grabbing a bagel from the kitchen counter. "You get your work done, Big Guy? I'm not going to get a note to sign tonight for bad behavior?" Ben asked, looking over at him as he helped Jamie put things in her backpack. Marco shook his head. "Can we go now? We're going to be late."<br><br>"Well maybe if someone came down on time we shouldn't be. Come on sweetheart. Everyone in the car! You all got your lunches, right?" <br><br>----<br><br>The car rides to school were not the most heartfelt and happiest. "Alright Little one, when does your fair start?"<br><br>"Five o'clock. But volunteers need to be there an hour early to set things up."<br><br>"Four o'clock. Got it. And... what did you sign me up to do, exactly?"<br><br>"I don't know, the school figures that out, I just put you on the list!"<br><br>"Alright, mio amore, I'll be there. Have a good day, I love you." He gave her a kiss on the forehead before letting her go off to her class. He stood next to his car, watching her meet up with her friends. She didn't seem as embarrassed of him as Marco was, it was probably because she was letting him cope with this all. She was a smart girl, too smart if you asked him.<br><br>He looked next to him to see a couple of parents (especially mothers) staring over at him.
